@Sigil @Morose Things are calm currently, the news keeps replying about the deaths going on in the city. Sure the Whites are the big story right now, they are the most recent. Seems that Danica has already fallen away to yesterdays news as well as her connection to Peyton. It is odd how quickly things can be forgotten. There is mention that a bombing happened at the new UN building but no one has claimed responsibility as of yet. Still no word on what is going on at Justice Memorial, which seems odd because a murder at a hospital seems like something that would have broken the headlines. Maybe no one has gotten out yet to spread the word. Either way, the news about Wallace is zip.

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

Ronnie chuckled a bit as he took a long sip from his drink before putting it back down next to him. "Nah, can't smoke all the time. Then I couldn't enjoy the munchies," he laughed as he kept looking around the rink. The women were warming but now but there were still members of Juno that hadn't shown up yet. The time for the game to start was drawing close so it figures that they would all be there by then but they weren't. Ronnie didn't seem to take notice as he pulled out a pack of smokes form his pocket and lit on up. Pushing a little distance from Riley he turned to face her as he propped his feet up between them and rested his elbows on his knees.

"Just don't want the smoke blow into your face," he said with a cheesy grin before glancing around again. He seemed to be on high alert. Well, not high high, his eyes seemed clear enough right then, but he was definitely watching his and Riley's back with then as they waited for the game to start. Pulling out his phone he went back to the picture that Danica had sent him ad his fingers ran over it, most specifically over her name several times before his jaw tightened.

"What were you trying to tell me Dani," he muttered under his breath before shaking it off and just letting his hand dangle over the top of his knee. The picture shifted over to another one. This one was of Dani and Ronnie together sitting on top of a building it seemed. It was a cute little photo of Ronnie sitting behind her with his chin on her shoulder and Dani making a silly face. They looked happy together, as if there was something more between them than just a simple doobie brother and sister friendship.

Alicia nodded and stepped off towards her apartment, turning and looking at Lorna before acting as if she was riding the Donkey from behind Lawson before she burst out laughing and ducked into the apartment before Lorna could, well you know, shoot her. Lawson turned around to see what the laughter was about but it was too late. Alicia was safe within the confines of her apartment, the door closing heavily behind her as she went to get ready for her own personal evening stuff. Cocking a brow he shrugged slightly before turning back over to Lorna and taking a deep breath.

"Listen Sugar, yeah, it done be sucking more than a tornado through a trailer park but be nice to get my mind off it ya know Some beer, bad pizza, and watching people get slammed off a rink. I mean what better way to forget the rest of the shit around here?" he said as he stuck his hands in back pockets, kicking at the ground a little bit before looking back over to her.

"Plus, with all the bull honky going on, be nice to be surrounded by a murder scene for a bit. That is if you still want to. If not, I understand, we can always go another night," he added as he gave her a goofy grin and smiled a bit brighter. "So, what ya say? Gonna hang with the BBQ master tonight?"

Mali sat there, eating in silence, when suddenly he started giving her a bunch of directions. Shit, if you're going to do something like this, give some warning so the person on the other side can get some paper and something to write with first. Goddammit. She tried sticking the most important bits of info in her head in a way that could be more easily memorized. 2453-1-4535-4-Top Floor-History. She quickly came up with a little tune for the sequence to carry and started singing the sequence to herself as she ran around the apartment to get all the usual stuff she had when going out (wallet, Pocket Sand, other stuff that's on the CS). She had heard that singing a phrase helped you memorize it a lot better than trying to commit it without music, and being the Music Major that she was, she decided to believe it, even if it was all a placebo. Given adequate time and prep, her memory usually wasn't an issue, but that wasn't the situation she found herself in.

Mali had almost left the apartment when she realized that she hadn't finished eating. She stood there hand on the door debating on whether to take it or not. Her stomach won out and she darted across the room to grab the grub before leaving in earnest. Even after leaving the apartment, she kept running the song-sequence through her head mentally so that she wouldn't fuck it up, because if she did, who knows where the hell in Justice she'd end up.

"True the munchies are always a great thing after getting high or drunk." Riley said with a soft laugh, she had never gotten herself high before, but she had gotten drunk before in the past after long days of touring and just traveling around on tour. She enjoyed a drink every now and then, but when she gets out and party she would most likely end up getting drunk at some point. Riley watched as Ronnie pushed himself away from her somewhat and faced her as he took out a smoke. She was glad that Ronnie didn't smoke right in front of her face, otherwise she would end up ripping it out of his mouth and stomp it out.

"Yeah second hand smoke is a real bad killer nowadays." Riley said with a light laugh as she then turned her attention towards the roller derby rink, seeing the team members starting to do some practice runs. Then Riley turned her attention back towards Ronnie seeing him looking at his phone as he muttered something. She assumed that it was something about Danica, and wondered if they were closer then she thought and bit her lip for a second before asking.

"So, what can you tell me about Danica?" Riley asked, she wanted to at least know what she meant to him it must have been hard for him to hear the news of Danica's death. She sadly didn't know what it was like to lose someone close to you whether it was a close friend or a family member.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Taqueria

The Taqueria's television set kept pumping out story after story about death. More and more. U.N. explosion (new one on him) and the new drama: murder/suicide at the psychiatrist's office. Add to the fun from yesterday - Lyle Marlestone's murder and Danica's "suicide", and Caesar was giving light consideration to putting available funds from his corporation toward establishing a Space Program, purely for the purpose of nuking this town from orbit.

Machete Security Solutions - EN EL ESPACIO!

Ok, put a pin in that thought for later. If he decided to actually go through with what was obviously working up to be a series of local adventures that already threatened to go global, and survived long enough, then Space was the logical eventuality. He had cousins back in Nuevo León that could work wonders with hydraulics and explosives; with a moderate helping of Mexican Ingenuity and his substantial financial resources, it was an infinitesimally short jump between that and the most colorful shuttle launch in human history. He could only imagine.

But back to supper. He was with a traumatized girl that might be able to give him some help, and Caesar being, well, himself probably didn't help matters much. Still, his reputation and demeanor were potent weapons in his arsenal, geared toward getting things done. And/or people separated from their insides. But still, supper. Caesar ordered a single bottle of Negra Modelo with his tacos and rice, lots of both as he had the strangest feeling that it would be an interesting night. He kept an eye on the door and tuned his proprioception to any other changes in movement around the two of them, then attacked his food with determination and vigor.

Halfway into his assault upon dinner, he took out his satellite phone and punched up the portions of his two recordings. Before forking it over to Cecily, he gave a suggestion that, being him, sounded rather presumptious at first. "I don't like the news. Too coincidental. Lots of "unrelated" deaths. Last time I saw something like this, I was in Chihuahua. Cartels hired out a series of independent contractors to find and eliminate ...well, its classified. Point is, I don't trust many people today. We need to keep ourselves busy and moving, in public if possible. And I'm considering a hotel tonight. If you've got someplace to stay, great. If not I can get you a room."

A thoughtful swallow of beer later, Caesar motioned to Cecily with his fork, "You know, M'hij... My daughter is playing in a Roller Derby tonight. When she's done, you'd be around two security professionals that are really, really good with guns and sharp things. Til you figure out what you want to do, anyway."

"Oh yeah, just tap the screen to play the vids."

Lorna Dunn

Location: Boston Heights

She nodded idly as he spoke and smirked slightly as he answered with his familiar drawl and backwater sayings. She grinned as she found out that he still wanted to hang out that night. "Yeah, I can hang. Lemme jus' get m'sel squared off and showered 'fore we get headin'. I'll be two shakes of a lambs tail." She gave him a light punch in the left shoulder as she walked by him and made her way down to her apartment. She practically skipped inside as she darted past Alicia and found her way into the bathroom first to shower. She was in and out in ten minutes - she only took so long because she had to shave, y'know, just in case - and ran into her bedroom with the towel wrapped around her body.

She dried herself off and made sure everything was in order before picking out the sluttiest undergarments she owned and then firing her usual clothing over it. She found guys loved it when she looked like a dude with the outer trappings and then when they unwrapped her she was like a damn sex doll. They had little to no idea how to take it and she honestly loved the dumbfounded looks on their faces when it got to that point. Sorry, if it got to that point. She didn't just unwrap for any man but she didn't usually unwrap more than once for the men that did get that close to Christmas morning so... She shook her head and pulled on the rest of her outfit and then slipped on her knee high boots and laced them up.

Walking out of her room and shoving her gun down the back of her trousers and covering it with her shirt, she also slipped a thin knife down the side of her right boot just in case she needed it. She grabbed her wallet and cell and shoved them into her pockets. "Bathroom is free Leash! Sorry for barging in, had to get non-salty for my smoke of meat. Catch you later, don't wait up, ha!" She chuckled as she slipped out of the apartment and looked out for Lawson as she reached street level again.

Lucas Walsh

Location: Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Feeling her hand cup his cheek, Lucas' hand shifted up to take Risa's in his own, giving it a gentle squeeze before he lowered it to her side, letting her get some sleep as he kept his hand gripping hers, having next to no intention of letting go of her. What exactly had happened at the U.N., and specifics like why or how it'd all gone down were not something Lucas was interested in just then, he had a much more pressing matter laying in a hospital bed before him, and it occupied every space of his mind at that moment.

Lucas only took his eyes off Risa as the nurse came in, watching her as she moved over to check Risa's vitals and listening to her explanation. He didn't particularly feel like getting dragged into a deep conversation about specifics at that moment, so he just nodded his head once and gave her a quiet 'thank you' before letting her go. Watching her as she moved out, he sighed as the door closed fully. A part of Lucas regretted the fact that he didn't have his gun on him, he hadn't expected to need it at all that day, though he usually carried it with him everywhere.

But then again, if the police might have been looking through the hospital for a murderer, perhaps it was for the best that he didn't have it on him, it would only attract unexpected attention. Besides, there was enough around that he could use, hell, the tray his food sat on could be a good enough alternative given the right scenario. For now though, Lucas just remained where he was, not touching the food yet, not wishing to do anything apart from watch Risa, and wait for her to recover.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Taqueria

Cecily couldn't help but stare, watching as Caesar assaulted the food in front of him. She shook her head slightly, picking at her own food. The spice of the taco caused her to cough a bit, and she reached for the water, only to find that it hardly made it any better. Water only dilutes it, Cecily thought to herself, chastising her own decision. Rubbing her tongue up against the roof of her mouth, she eventually got the spice to calm down to a dull roar, letting her pick at the food again. At Caesar's mention of the news, Cecily glanced up at the screen, prepared to see some sort of press release from Roy about the murder.

There was nothing.

She frowned deeply. She'd been working forensics in Justice for two years, and the news jumped at each high profile murder they could get. A death in a hospital would provide the perfect opportunity for a media circus, with each reporter shouting more and more outlandish statements, such as calling for the resignation of the hospital's dean. It unsettled her, the media silence on the matter. Had it been any other city, she would've surmised that the police had just done a good job at keeping Wallace's murder away from the public eye.

But this was Justice. She made a mental note of it, figuring that talking it over with Roy would make more sense. She wasn't in any sort of mental shape to take her own thoughts seriously. It wasn't like this was the 1800s, with a gag rule implemented. No reason that she could fathom explained the lack of press interest in the deaths. To her, it looked like someone was perhaps forcing Wallace's death to fade into the background quietly.

Shaking herself away from her thoughts, Cecily took the satellite phone. At Caesar's proposition, though, she once again was the deer stuck in the headlights. "I'm flattered but er...I've got a friend I'm staying with tonight," Cecily explained. "And you're...you're very nice but I'm...Dating and sex...isn't really my area." She couldn't help but hope that she'd misunderstood his offer, but even she knew what a hotel and going to the Roller Derby tended to mean. Tapping on the screen, Cecily began to examine the videos.

@Sigil @Morose - On the vids, Cecily will notice Mr. March coming out of the building and walking off into the crowd before leaving the scene. Cecily will recognize the man, though she will not be able to place her finger on it. With the Russian video taken down at the dock, she will not be able to pick up anything else that hasn't already been by Alicia, Caesar or Lorna earlier. Her phone will go off letting her know she has a text. It is from Roy. He has texted her his address but says he will not be there until later since he had to finish up at the hospital and then get down to her office to drop off Wallace's body. He still needs those case files.

@Pundii - Risa is finally fully asleep and getting some much needed rest. The room is quiet for a while until there is a knock at the door and then it opens slowly. Detective Gregory pokes his head in before stepping in fully and holding out his badge for it to be seen. Closing the door behind him he looks over towards Risa and then Lucas. Lucas could probably recognize him from the night before but he may not depending on how focused he is right then. "Sorry to bother you, I just needed to ask you a few questions. I was told you and she were there at the U.N. building when the explosion went off. Do you remember anything before it happened or see anything after?" - If Lucas thinks hard enough he may just remember a woman, very cut with a blonde pony tail and a black baseball cap on leaving the area quickly about ten minutes before everything went down. About this time Lucas's phone goes off again, it is another text. Has the situation been neutralized yet?"

@Dragoknighte - The ride takes a little bit between changing buses and walking but it is clear the way. The cops did not bother Mali as she left the apartment; too focused on what was going on in each set of apartments. She managed to duck out without hassle this time. Getting to the library Relic is leaning against a wall of books as Mali finds him. He looks relieved when he sees her. "Glad to see you made it safe," he says before reaching over to the shelf and pulling out a book. He holds it up for her to see. Artifacts of an Unknown Time is the title, written by Professor Gerard. "Seems some in your building have stumbled across something I have been searching for." Looking around he closes the book before shoving it in his pack. "We should get to somewhere safer before we talk more."

@Charnobylisk - When Lorna gets in there and is leaving you will be able to note that Alicia is not in the apartment. Her work stuff is on the counter between the living room and the kitchen but she is no where to be found. Knowing her she slipped out the back and went another route to avoid dealing with the cops anymore today. Wouldn't be the first time she slipped out without saying anything. Lawson is outside, leaning against his truck when Lorna comes out. He smiles towards her and compliments her on how well she looks. "Prettier than a gardenia in the middle of summer," he says before opening the door for her and waiting for her to climb in. Once she is in he hops into the cab and turns the key to start the truck. Reaching out he tucks a piece of hair behind her ear before driving off and heading towards the Rollar Derby. "Ever seen one of these before?"

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

Ronnie looked over towards Riley and sighed a bit at her question. It wasn't easy talking about his recently dead friend. Holding out his phone to her, he had opened it to a folder of images of the two of them together. Some where just them hanging out and being goofy, others were of Danica with a mouthful of food trying to get him to stop taking pictures, a couple were of Danica curled up against him sleeping on a worn out couch.

"She was the best..." he said quietly as he pulled his knees up and shrugged. "Sure she could be blunt and a pain in the ass but underneath it all she had the best heart. Always willing to help someone. Why she was here, she wanted to find out what happened to her sister really and keep it from happening to another. I know the news says she killed herself but I don't believe that anymore than I believe her sister did. Even if Danica killed herself, it was for a reason. She wasn't the type to do something like that," he said before turning and leaning back against the wall looking over the crowd as more started to show up.

"You know, Danica really loved your music. She had all your albums. She wanted to ask you to sign them but didn't want to bother you about it. Figured if a big star like you was living in somewhere like Boston Heights you just wanted some peace and quiet," he added before looking back towards Riley and taking his phone back. Looking down at the pictures he sighed a bit. "She used to listen to your stuff when she was climbing, made me listen to it constantly," he said with a bit of a chuckle.

Felix Hausten

Location: outside Dr Keller's office - to the Roller Derby

He smirked one more time at Amy Adams and looked her up and down. He hadn't seen her much on the news but the signs were clear as day, she was looking for a lead, and so was he. He guessed hanging around with her too much would probably prop up some suspicion, too much publicity before the release of his book. He'd have to rethink another meeting, one where his presence wouldn't be too noticeable, because as she said all it took was the culprit returning to the scene and his blow would be covered. But the super sleuth within him told him he'd have to hang back for now...however.

He eyed her up and nodded his head before whipping out a piece of paper from his pocket and frantically writing his mobile number onto it before handing it to her, something popping into his mind. "I'm Felix Hausten, you've without a doubt, heard of me. I'm a resident of Boston Heights, and let me say, I too want to get to the bottom of this...situation" He gave her a friendly smile and took up his phone and checked the time. "I heard the cops mention a roller derby...so I'm going to check it out, since I also heard the cops talk about Dr Keller, and if I was you...I'd smell a story"

With that he made his way to his motor bike, waving her off, and got back to where he'd parked it upon arriving. He revved it up and made his way to the roller derby, where he frantically found a parking space for his bike. He rubbed his head, already getting a rush of excitement and what an exciting story this was going to be. Grinning, he entered the spectator's seating.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Taqueria

Caesar listened to Cecily's awkward verbal dance away from what she thought the older man was suggesting. And froze. His face contorted into a series of grimaces designed to keep something internalized, but over the course of the next two seconds, said defenses failed spectacularly. The veteran beater of wholesale ass exploded into a long stretch of coughing and laughing simultaneously. The mirth echoed from the walls and textured tile flooring of the establishment as the man himself covered the lower half of his face with his hands to avoid spewing partially digested taco fixin's all over his dinner guest. His flatware clattered to the table, a single, noble fork slipping from the rough eating surface to clang tiny, irregular notes upon the floor before coming to rest next to Caesar's square toed engineer boots.

The coughing came under control long before the laughter abated. Tears formed quickly, obscuring his sight with liquid filters, blurring his view of the nigh ridiculous scenario but not removing it from his ever-sharp recollection. Every detail of her face and inflection of speech as the Forensic Technician tried to evade what she perceived as an attempt to engage her in nocturnal coitus-ly activities.

"Oh, oh... Oh Dios. Oh my God, niña... that, that was... You made salsa come out my nose, little girl! I haven't laughed like that since I was a little bandito. Seriously, haahhhh... Gracias, really." Caesar wiped his eyes dry and took a quick breath through his nose, attempting to dislodge the grains of rice and spicy, chopped tomato that presently resided therein. It took a couple of tries. "Trust me here, Cecily. You're a little young, even with my history. M'hija's got more than a decade on you, and you are seriously not my type. Safety, child. Talking about safety. Your own room with locks and a mini-bar. I don't date, anyway."

A rather awkward silence fell over the table as Caesar finished his plate and Cecily reviewed the recordings. After business concluded, he spoke again. "Look, I'm headed to catch the Derby. If you want to join, offer's open. I would still suggest staying away from Boston Heights tonight. Stay with your cop friend, if you can trust him." He paused for a moment, regarding the very junior woman. "Supper's taken care of. I'll call you a car if you want, give them my card info. Go anyplace you want to. Otherwise, I'll be waiting on my trike for the next five minutes if you change your mind. No hard feelings. Either way, I've got somewhere to be."

"I'm glad I got here safely as well. Thought the cops would keep me confined to the apartment and I'd have to climb out through the window or something. Good thing too, I never really learned how." Mali's tone was jovial, well as jovial as she got, but the subtext of her words and body language indicated that she was only half-joking. The pep she carried in her expression quickly melted away, replaced by irritation. "For real though, next time you want to give directions like that over the phone, give me a bit of warning beforehand. I almost took the wrong bus on two different occasions. You could've been standing here while I wandered around the city for hours." Mali sighed, blowing some hair out of her face.

"Not really the kind of book I would have read during my little free time when I was in university, but to each their own. If you want to talk somewhere else and know a better place, lead the way. I don't know Justice's city plans." Mali raised a well-muscled arm towards the library's staircase. Part of her wondered what the point was in bringing her here if they were just going to move a different place immediately, but if she asked she would probably get some explanation about security or something at best or a non-answer at worst.

Whatever the case was, she had made it here without real issue, and from the sound of things she was about to get sucked into a bunch of bullshit despite trying her darnedest to avoid it. She had decided earlier that she would just roll with the punches, and that seemed like all she really could do at this point.

Riley gently took Ronnie's phone once more, she looked through the photos of him and Danica together it certainly looked like they were really happy together. She smiled softly as she looked at them carefully as she listened to Ronnie speak about her, they certainly had history together. Riley bit her lower lip for a moment as she handed Ronnie his phone back, it sort of reminded her of her and her own sister they didn't talk to much now and they were complete opposites of each other. "The two of you do look really happy together. I wish I could have gotten to know her, glad that she was a fan." Riley said with a soft smile.

She felt bad that Danica was actually a fan of her music, and always she would be willing to sign Danica seemed to be a very fun girl that she wished she had gotten to know. "I just live in that apartment because it's what i'm always used to really. I don't want those fancy high rise apartments or those mansions out in LA, it's just not me." Riley said with a slight shrug, she looked at Ronnie once more before asking. "So were you and Danica ever a thing together?" Riley finally asked, she looked back towards the rink as she saw the little stadium starting to fill in more. "You don't have to ask that either if you don't want to either, sorry if that is a personal question." It was probably a personal question that he probably didn't want to talk about just yet they did just met not to long ago.

@Dragoknighte - "Yeah, sorry about that. I wanted to get off the line as quickly as possible," he said adjusting his glasses a bit and looking around as if he was checking to make sure she wasn't followed. "Yeah, not normally my type of reading either but it was written by a man that is missing right now. That man just happens to be the professor of the woman who supposedly killed herself in your building months ago, who was the sister of the girl who died yesterday," he said before motioning for Mali to follow him. He made quick work to get them out of the Library and over a beat up pinto that was in the parking lot. Taking a quick look around again he unlocked the door and tossed hi bag into the back seat. Slipping into the seat he unlocked the other door for Mali so she could join him. Once she was in he started the car and started to drive. He took the weirdest route, never going more than a few blocks without turning and then back tracking once or twice. He ended up taking them to a worn down building near the airport before finally stopping the turning off the car. "Okay, let's get inside," he added before walking over and unlocking the door to the building and stepping inside. It looked like it had been cleared out of whatever walls used to be there, nothing but worn out beams now holding the place up. Inside through there were tables lined up back to back filled with computers and several people of various ages and both genders sitting down typing away.

@Scallop - Alright, now that Felix is at the derby, he is seeing everything pretty much that Riley has seen up until this point. The place is semi-crowded with more and more coming in as the minutes tick by. He will see Riley from Boston Heights sitting up on one of the top bleachers with a man he doesn't know. She seems to be just talking and hanging out but Ronnie looks rather rough around the edges. Now because he just moved in he might not know that she lives in the building but with her being a well known musician he might just recognize her anyways.

Ronni

Location: Rollar Derby Rink

Ronnie smiled a bit. "Yeah, we were happy. Well as happy as Danica would allow herself to be," he said as he slipped his phone back into his pocket and rocked back and forth a bit in his seat. At Rileys question he chucked. "Kind of. We were kind of on again, off again. If things were calm we were but anytime she thought she found something out pertaining to her sister we were off again, she would get so wrapped up in it she didn't see anything else," he said before turning in his seat and leaning back against the wall, looking out over the crowd.

"I don't believe she killed herself, if she did she was forced to. Danica wasn't like that. I don't think he sister killed herself either. I just wish I knew what she was......" he said before leaning forward a little bit as another member of Juno showed up. He couldn't tell who it was yet because of the hair covering her features but the tattoo on her left shoulder he could see clear as day. It looked like a cube, well not a cube but kind of like one It had a lot more sides to it. Pulling out his phone he pulled up the email that Danica had sent him with the image. "Well I'll be damned, she was onto something..." he said as he handed his phone back to Riley and pointed to the woman's tattoo. It was close. It wasn't exactly the same, the one in Danica's photo had less sides but the hallowed out form of it and the coloring were the same.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Taqueria ---> The Roller Derby

Cecily watched, dread filling her stomach, as grimaces marred Caesar's quite marred face. She reached her hand down, pulling out her phone, ready to call Roy in an instant. Her heartbeat accelerated, as her eyes darted around, once again confirming where all of the entrances were. It was one of her darkest fears, sexual assault, and it couldn't have appeared any the more possible.

That was, of course, until Caesar assaulted her by spewing his taco all over her. Cecily blinked, recoiling in disgust. Though she didn't mean it, she almost wished that Caesar had been hitting on her. Gingerly, Cecily picked up the lone napkin on the table, and wiped her face clean. Bits of taco meat clung to her hair, and the partially chewed bits of wonder covered her shoulders as well. Something was definitely going to leave a stain, she realized with a bit of a sigh. As terrifying as the man was, she couldn't help but be slightly irritated. Her parents would've killed her had she acted like that--in fact, they'd screamed at her brother on numerous occasions over it.

Cecily nodded slightly, returning her attention to the videos. They, at least, didn't seem to spray taco bits all over her. She frowned slightly, pausing the video on an oddly familiar man. For all she knew, he lived at the Boston Heights--but that didn't feel right to her. She recognized him from somewhere, but with her line of work, she met new people every day. Sure, half of them were corpses and the other half murderers, but it was still a healthy variety. Her phone buzzed, the burner one, and Cecily glanced down.

She quickly tapped out a text message in reply, using her own sort of code. It wasn't filled with cyphers and symbols. Instead, it relied on someone with the sense of humor involved with late nights spent watching Netflix.
To Batman
Rising Tide, could be Hydra, could be S.H.I.E.L.D. Got a potential Capaldi in Pompeii. Video evidence. Heading to Harley Quinn's night job.

To anyone with an insane knowledge of comics and other pop culture, the message would be simple: an organization of unknown intent [Machete Security Services] took a video of someone familiar that Cecily place [Mr. March]. She was heading to the Roller Derby [Harley Quinn's second job in the New 52 Comic Series.] She put her phone away, and paused for a moment, before following Caesar out the door and getting on the trike behind him. Roy had told her to trust no one.

Perhaps Machete Security Services knew more than they were letting on. At any rate, it couldn't hurt. Someone had already attempted to kill her that day, and she was certain that Roy would be able to figure out her message eventually if he tried hard enough, and her death wouldn't be chalked up to an accident. Besides, she was fairly certain it was in her will to perform an autopsy.

Though, she couldn't quite remember whether or not she actually had a will. She pushed those thoughts away, holding onto Caesar as the trike headed towards the Roller Derby.

Date: Last W.N. Of Day 2 - Saturday May 13th, 2017

And our day is now wrapping up. Please, everyone make sure to read the full post even if you are not tagged for that area. I am quick dumping a lot of information and such into your laps though it might not seem like it.... Here we go....

@Dragoknighte - On the screens you see over head video of the Rollar Derby that is about to take place. It is scanning the arena slowly. As people come into the building you are starting to see a lot of familiar faces....

@Scallop - The game looks like it is about to start, more and more people are coming in and trying to get a seat.

@Sigil @Morose @Charnobylisk - Caesar and Cecily are able to get to the Rollar Derby without issue and manage to get parked only to see that Lorna and Lawson have arrived about the same time. Lawson cocks his head to the side but places a firm hand at Lorna's lower back before walking over to Caesar and Cecily. "Well I'll be, I didn'ts expect to see y'all here. Wants to joins us? Games about to start," he says before waiting on everyone to head into the Derby.

@Pundii @Morose- Roy gets a text and sends one back to Cecily, a bit of a smirk on his face. To Batgirl: Rodger that, meet me at the Batcave. Alfred has set us up. - Yeah, if that wasn't simple enough to understand, he said to meet her at his place and that the clerk had the files together he needed. Looking back over to Lucas he glances back over to Risa, taking a slow step forward as a look of confusion comes over his features. Her head had been tilted away from him when he entered the room but now that he is taking a closer look he goes a bit slack jawed. "Athena?" he whispers before looking quickly over to Lucas. "Don't let anyone in here without me escorting them." Reaching down he pulls out a small pistol, standard six shot back up before laying it on the bed between them and hurrying out of the room. You can hear the door lock after it closes.

The game is about to begin, but before it does the announcer at the Derby introduces each of the teams one member at a time. For most of you the women on the Dragons won't even raise a brow but as they start to call out the members of Juno several of you should raise some brows....

  • Juno
    • Venus - Captain - Leanna McCormick - Admiral Of The Navy, a rank only used once in history before her, McCormick is the current Secretary of Defense for the United States. First woman to ever hold the position. Former Fighter Pilot during the Gulf War
    • Minerva - Regina Eilheart - A former Hollywood starlet turned Media Mogul, almost and all news in the city is run out of Minerva’s shop. She owns most all the newspapers, all the news channels and three quarters of the bloggers.
    • Ceres
    • Diana - Amy Chang - Dean Of Medicine at Justice Memorial - Is on Camera half the time when disaster hits Justice, she is the one coordinating all rescues.
    • Proserpine - Cecily will recognize this woman, she is the one that attacked her in Wallace's Office.
    • Gaia - Stephanie Gretchen - Owner of Gretchen Mortgage LLC
    • Vesta - Alicia Gonzalez.. Oh Papi, she has some splanin' to do...
    • Terra
    • Siren
    • Iniquis - Zatara Lyo - Supreme Court Justice in Justice
    • Cantus - Ally Cranks - DJ from the Block Party
    • Nova Cibum - Sarah from Juno's Greek restaurant down the street from Boston Heights.

After introductions are complete the game begins and it is brutal to say the least. The Dragons are good but the women of Juno are ruthless. Blood flies and people are knocked into the crowd left and right. As the game goes on, the Dragons are able to get some momentum going but it never lasts long. It is almost as if Juno is playing with them. Proserpine And Vesta (Alicia) are the ones doing the most damage. They seem to work together like two sides of the same coin, flipping between the two of them to do the most damage, for them it doesn't seem to be about winning but inflicting the most damage and taking out as many of Dragons members as possible.

While brutal it is one hell of a game, staying close, that is until the lights go out suddenly through out the entire city and gun shots are fired into the Derby. The black out lasts for fifteen minutes and by the time the lights are back up, a good portion of the people that had been there are gone; including both teams. There are bodies, mostly trampled on, but a few who took shots. Caesar gets a text when the lights come back up - "I am safe, with Admiral McCormick, be home tomorrow."

Ronnie dives over Riley in the heat of the gun fire and keeps her pinned down until the lights come up and then quickly rushes her out of the place. "Let's get you somewhere safe."

Over at Justice Memorial, during the black out Roy comes back and starts to unhook Risa from the monitors. "We have to get her out of here now," he says before waiting on Lucas to help him get her out of the hospital.

* This is going to be interesting to say the least - Do NOT worry about trying to make sense of your last post for the day. This is a heated and off putting wrap up. You will be able to address more in the next post, I will be pming some of you; others will get their information in the time jump post. Just get your final post for this day up. I will be posting for the time skip later this week, so please, I know the counter is reset but try to get that in as soon as you can if you can. Enjoy this post!!! Because there will be many LLA rolls to see who survives the time jump - some may, some may not.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Roller Derby Rink

Riley nodded slightly towards Ronnie and gave the man a slight smile, though she did feel bad for him losing someone who was close to him he and Danica did look really happy and cute together in some of the pictures that he had shown her. "I'm really sorry, I couldn't imagine losing someone that you'd care about.." Riley said quietly as she looked out towards the rink once more as things seem to start up finally as the players started to get ready and prep and got into their respective parts of the rink. "I'll make sure that we find out what happened, from the pictures she seemed to happy to do that." Riley said as she looked towards Ronnie once more and gave him a slight smile.

She watched as Ronnie handed her his phone yet again and pulled up that email, then she leaned forward looking at one of the members of Juno and noticed the tattoo on the woman's left shoulder. She then looked at the picture on the screen and instantly picked up on the similarities on the picture and the Juno member's tattoo. "Seems like the dead girl did find something out." Rile said towards Ronnie and handed him back his phone.

Then the game started up finally as Riley leaned forward as the announcer started to introduce everyone of the members to Team Juno, which was the same information that Ronnie had given her already. She remembered Cantus from the night before at the block party, Riley watched intently at the game seeing Proserpine and Vesta or whoever you wanted to call her starting to kick ass on the rink. That's when the lights were shut off, and Riley could hear loud screams of panic as well as gunshots going off. Riley felt the wind getting knocked out of her she didn't know and couldn't see who had tackled her.

Riley reached for the knife that Ronnie had given her, and was about to press the switch blade but before she could the nights were back on. Riley sighed loudly as she looked up at him for a moment then she was helped back up onto her feet and followed behind Ronnie as he helped her out of the Roller Derby arena. "Thank you." Riley said softly as she followed Ronnie's lead and looked back towards the bleachers and the rink itself wondering what was actually going on. She was certainly grateful for Ronnie helping her getting out of the building.

Location: Relic's Safe House

Relic was doing a lot of things that could normally be considered out of the ordinary and nonsensical, but in the current context were rather reasonable. It was pretty easy to get into his head and figure out how he was thinking now. Any phone call could be traced, so by shortening it down to a couple minutes at most, you minimize the chances of getting discovered. When you're driving to a more secure space, you loop around multiple times and take the long way so that you can spot somebody tailing you and it makes you harder to follow in the first place. And when you spoke about the Big Picture in public, you did it with as few specifics or spoken conclusions as possible. It wasn't a mindset Mali agreed with (conspiracy theories are dumb and juvenile), but considering she "met" the guy when he was getting beaten up by crackheads, a good dose of paranoia might not be as unwarranted as it might appear on the surface.

What was more surprising was in contents of the inside of the safe house. She was expecting an empty building, and although the architecture of the building was what she was expecting, the number of people and tech certainly weren't. She had assumed that Relic was either a big shadow company or a solo endeavor, and given the environment around her that prior seemed to be a bit more correct. Mali's hands came together and she slowly cracked her knuckles: first the left hand, then the right.

"Alright, let's talk."

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Derby!

This was supposed to be a break from the chaos of the past two days. Quality family time, courtesy of his little Alicia. Some parents, especially of minor children, took great joy in watching their kids perform or participate in sports; high school has traditionally always been speckled with parents coming out for "The Big Game" or "Opening Night". In Caesar's estimation, this was very nearly the equivalent. He did like to see Alicia enjoy herself. Getting to join his practically adopted daughter, Lorna, was just gravy atop the whole experience. The fact that she was with Smoker Boy notwithstanding.

Caesar first leaned his head to the side to catch eyes with Lorna, giving her a quick, "Hola, niña. Good to see you out." Of course, with all the murders lately, it really wasn't good to see her out. It was slightly unnerving. Giving daughters to a man like Caesar was a curse from God, punishment for his transgressions earlier in life. Now he had, lodged in his soul, the worry and concern of two women for whom he would gladly kill or grudgingly die. This was his kismet; the strength and weakness of family.

He turned his attention back to the man in front of him, Larson, appearing to contemplate his offer to join them. "Hi." he almost growled. "We'll join you. One thing: Had a misunderstanding earlier. I feel obligated to tell you two that the extremely young lady and I are here together for the sake of business and safety." He turned to glance at Cecily, "We are definitely not dating. Or tener relaciones bouncy-bouncy.

With that issue out in the open, Caesar entered the Derby with a clear conscience. It was an excellent evening to watch M'hija brutalize other professionals with wheels on their feet, all for the sake of a concept as abstract as "Points". Outstanding. But again, he did like to see Alicia enjoy herself. As the Roller Derby was a borderline bloodsport, well, it was also fairly entertaining. At least it would have been.

Stephanie Gretchin was on M'hija's team. The lady he greatly suspected of being part of all this (very not) random death was on her team. So was the Secretary of Defense. That was odd. A media mogul, the DJ from the Block Party... and another one that, from the look on Cecily's face, she was familiar. Caesar snapped some pictures, took some video, like many others. Good to keep records, and besides, his daughter was playing. Can't fault a man for recording memories of his hija. There would be questions later. Many questions, for many people. Especially for Alicia. Oh yes, his little girl would have some serious explaining to do. Was she part of this, too? Did she just not fucking know the people with whom she was associating? Was she running an Op, and just decide out of the clear blue NOT TO TELL HIM? Oh, this was a conversation.

Unfortunately, this conversation would have to wait. Darkness overtook the Derby, with the accompanying randomness of human fear. This was multiplied significantly by the sound of gunshots ringing out. He'd done this before. Usually he'd be the one shooting. If this blackout was done for the purpose of assassination, then the targets were down and there wasn't much of a threat left from gunfire. The problem now was the press of bodies. Confusion was an effective cloak against discovery, providing a proven means of escape. Not a damn thing he could do about it now.

There was considerable worry for Alicia, at least at first. Then he remembered that she was especially good at this game; hiding and surviving throughout gunfire and darkness. Mortal combat and blindfighting - give the girl something sharp and shove her into a proving ground of chaos and blood, she had better odds than most at crawling back out with the ears of her victims as trophies. It was just like her Quinceañera, all over again! Caesar snickered, despite his situation. If only these poor fucks knew what the kiddies had to endure with the Piñata... they might laugh, too. But for those in the audience, the biggest danger then was the press of scared flesh and trampling bodies, instinctively concerned with only their self-preservation.

Caesar also knew that Lorna could take care of herself. Military lady, that one, hard as nails. But just the same, the older man shouted to the people in his little group, even as he threw a protective arm around Cecily, "Join hands! Find a wall! Cross your arms in front of you, stay put!"

When the lights finally returned, his phone vibrated silently in his pocket. Message from Alicia, one that gave him a dose of relief. Kind of. She was alive. He returned the message,

Glad to hear. Will get home tomorrow, too. Talk then.

The mercenary Mexican took a brief look around, taking more pictures, more video. More things to tuck away and comb through at another time. Even took a sweep of the walls and roof, just in case. He looked to make sure that Lorna was okay, and yes, even Lawson, before looking to Cecily, saying, "Give me three minutes to look around before the cops show up. Then I'll get you somewhere safe. That cop friend of yours?"

Then tomorrow, a long Q&A with M'hija. And a new arrival to the party. And his investigation continues in earnest.

"Hey, who was that lady, anyway?"

Cecily Ashworth

Location: The Roller Derby

Cecily let out a bit of a happy squeal, as soon as she saw the text from Roy. It had been ages since anyone beyond her friend Bonnie had understood her references. Tempted to ask Roy exactly which Batgirl he thought she was, Cecily paused a bit. It wasn't the time to have a fangirl freak out and ask Roy all about his knowledge of comic books. She'd be able to do that later. For now, she had to focus, in order to avoid another member of the ever shrinking Justice Forensics Department from perishing.

She glanced up, seeing Lawson and one of the woman from the security team the night prior. Instantly, Cecily relaxed slightly. Lawson, as far as she was concerned, was perhaps one of the nicest and least corrupt people in the Boston Heights. He had helped Riley the night prior, and as far as Cecily was concerned, her odds of being murdered dropped significantly.

"Er, sure," Cecily squeaked, recoiling a bit from Caesar's comment, and at the realization that they were likely crashing a date. She'd never been on one before really, but her knowledge from films and comics told her that it never ended well, when minor characters crashed the OTP's outing. "You two look...nice together," Cecily commented, feeling a slight juxtaposition between the Southern goof and the hardened security expert. Had it been a Netflix show, she likely would have raved about it...Though, she always did say gay ships are yay ships, so perhaps she would've supported Lawson and someone else.

As the game started, Cecily winced a bit, remembering her one time trip to watch Seattle's Rat City play. It almost seemed illegal, all of the violence....but it was nothing compared to this. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Caesar taking more photos and videos. He didn't seem to be the supportive parent type in her opinion, and she couldn't help but be skeptical of it. Maybe he's trying to give himself an alibi... Cecily pondered. Having someone who worked for the police as a witness didn't hurt. And again, it was suspicious the way that Caesar always seemed to be present.

Murderers don't preserve evidence, Cecily chastised herself. Caesar was likely just a fan of serial killers.

"That's the secretary of defense!" Cecily exclaimed, recognizing Admiral McCormick. Her grandmother, Annie, had made a big deal out of the fact that a woman had been appointed to that office. It was all the old lady blogged about on facebook, commenting about how her aunt would've been so happy to see that day, had she not died too soon. "And...I think she runs the news..." Cecily murmured, more talking to herself, as she spotted Regina. However, her line of thought cut off when she spotted Proserpine.

She stiffened, recognizing the woman who had attempted to kill her. Pulling out her phone, her hands shook slightly as she snapped images, texting them to Roy with the simple explanation:
To Batman:
Positive I.D.

Had she continued to look at the members of the team, perhaps Cecily would've noticed another individual affiliated with the legal industry. Instead, she felt only panic, standing on red alert. Caesar's daughter was on the team, wasn't she? She bit her lip slightly, wondering whether or not to tell the muscular Mexican that she was staring at her would-be killer.

"I think I went to a Comic Con with the blonde girl once," Cecily instead blurted, staring intensely at Proserpine. "You should ask your daughter to give me her number, her cosplay skills were fantastic..." Truthfully, Cecily didn't have any clue what she was doing. It was her rather awkward method of trying to get the name of her almost killer, without saying anything about that being her killer. She smiled weakly, knowing already she should've left the investigation to Roy. "I mean...Forget that. I think it's the...the shock talking, yes." Without even realizing it, she had begun to quote one of her favorite television series, checking her phone every second for a text from Roy. She wanted to run and leave the Roller Derby Arena, but she felt frozen, unable to move her legs.

As the lights went out, Cecily nearly sobbed. Prosperine likely realized she was here, it was all a trick. Regretting deeply that she hadn't started to carry her pistol on her, Cecily started to try to find her way out of the arena, with gunshots punctuating the air. Instead, she felt a strong arm grab her, and she nearly screamed, as she attempted to call Roy in the dark. Eventually, however, she heard Caesar's words.

He wasn't trying to kill her after all.

Good.

Letting out a deep breath, Cecily felt even more relief as the lights turned back on. The teams are gone, and a few bodies litter the arena. Slipping out from Caesar's grasp, Cecily couldn't help but be surprised to be alive. She felt her head, thankful that there didn't seem to be any indications of a bullet in it. Her hands were shaking, and Cecily forced a smile, an almost creepy and mechanical one. "That was the woman who tried to kill me," Cecily said softly. She nodded at Caesar, before dialing Roy's number again on the phone. The day had been filled with enough excitement to last her a lifetime.

"Just don't mess with the evidence," Cecily added, watching as Caesar started to poke around. The bullets in the arena and the darkness had almost shocked her fear of Caesar out of her. "And erm...If you can, in some sort of fashion, ask your daughter what skeletons are in her closet...Okay? Not that she has skeletons in her closet but, well...Her friend does, at least..."

Lucas Walsh

Location: Justice Memorial Recovery Ward

Lucas watched Risa closely as she slept, finally starting to let his thoughts wander between everything. There was the message he'd gotten, the order he had thus far refused to follow. Then there was the bombing itself, what he'd saw, what he remembered, any kind of memories he could conjure up to try and give him a better indication of what had happened. As if on cue, Lucas heard the door open, looking over to Gregory as he came in. He recognised the man from the party last night, and he had to admit he was immediately suspicious, but he didn't make that clear just yet.

Listening to his question, Lucas recalled his memories, the images of the woman he'd spotted, but before he could bring anything up in response, his phone buzzed again. Taking hold of it, he looked over the message, another reminder. He didn't reply yet again, keeping quiet as he tucked his phone back in his pocket, only perked up again as he heard that word. - 'Athena' - Moving to stand, Lucas immediately took a defensive scan as his gaze shifted up to Gregory, ready to attack the man before he spoke up again and set the gun down, prompting a confused look from Lucas.

He gave Roy a nod, taking the gun and opening up the cylinder as he peered into it, making sure that it was indeed loaded before he closed it again, tucking it into the back of his pants as he watched Roy go, deciding it would be better to ask questions later. He remained where he was, thinking on things until the lights went out. In a second the gun was in Lucas' hand and he was on his feet, pointing it toward the door in a military-style grip, shifting his aim around as the lights came back on.

When Roy came in again, Lucas almost blew his head off, lowering his weapon as he approached and began to unhook Risa. Nodding his head to her, he moved over, setting his free hand on the bed as he kept the other firmly holding his gun. "I'll look after her, you go ahead and lead the way." He'd insist, not exactly trusting the man yet, he wasn't about to put Risa directly in his hands.
