Well, @Sep I feel like Xaith's place for now is in Engineering, but at the same time there aren't a lot of role-play opportunities for our military crew while everything's running smoothly. Still feels like we're waiting for everyone to check in on the IC thread, but I don't know if we're actually missing any character's posts.

There seems to be some opportunities presented (by other players) regarding engineering systems in other departments (in IC posts), but I didn't want to step on any toes by reacting to them.

Honestly @LegionPothIX, it's this type of downtime where you can essentially add some filler stuff, flesh out the Engineering section, do some fun backstory stuff, interact with NO4H, or...go get drunk with Anderson @boomlover :)

Either way, try your hand at another post and you might be surprised what you'll come up with.

I skipped a bunch of the ship stuff and came back to it later. What doesn't matter to me can hurt me, but fending it off isn't my job.

@LegionPothIX I'm sticking with Weekly with the exception of everyone checking in before I move the whole thing forward.

Also don't worry, I'm going to keep everyone busy even during the launch sequence. Though if you wish to do filler right now, perhaps expand on your ideas for engineering, explore the engineering section or even flashback to let us know a little about the character that is all fine.

The reason it may be difficult right now is we're all tied to the event of the ship taking off, which is a pretty major thing. Which of course has all these people where they're supposed to be, but to that what I say is: You're chief Engineer, you have the run of the ship you don't need to sit in engineering. You can go to a subsystem, even be the one to go fix the camera for security if you really want.

Want to check on the fighters while they're on the catapult waiting to launch? Go for it. Fancy taking a steg up to the bridge? Sure.

Out of all the military characters you probably have the most versitality in what you can do at times like this.

I most certainly am going to Cryo, for reasons stated. While going elsewhere, and interacting with other crewmen may be interesting, it is the character's first priory to make sure there are no problems with the sleepers. Since you noticed him going there, that saves me some trouble, and just let me know when he arrives, via in-character reactions.

I think that was aimed more at non-essentials/NPCs, but I guess we'll figure everyone's playing character is "essential" :)

@The Survivor just so you know (no doubt you'll get it up but just pre-warning) that in 24 hours I'll be continuing the plot onwards with Locke.

Thanks for being patient guys, I'm going to keep things post-launch on a smaller level so we don't need to wait on people. There'll be few ship wide events like this for that very case.
