It's my understanding that the ship has subjective gravity, in that it has gravity where and when we as writers want it to. Specifically I just assume there's going to be gravity anywhere people need to go. I also imagine more than just the flight crew and pilots go into the hanger and that it has gravity most of the time, and its turned off for large scale launches and operations, like the one we're embarking on with the potential need of a full complement escort.

I am fine with it if Myke wants the hangar to go with no gravity. The ships bit enough that it will have multiple generators and an area without gravity is plausible.

@Rawk digital credit. Each individual gets a set weekly allowance (rather than being assigned by rank it's ranked by danger/difficulty of job). They can spend these in the hub if they wish or save them. The ship does have some fabrication so there will be cheaper variants of products made on Earth, especially until production gets up to scratch.

I should point out that basic necessities, food healthcare, water are all free. Food though if it's anything fancy you'll obviously need to pay. The free stuff is like what you'd get at a small cafe or diner rather than a restaurant.

@vietmyke So wait his daughter is awake? Not in Cryo-sleep? Cause that sounds like something a loving father wouldn't want and a highly unlikely thing to happen. She'll get no education, no-one her own age to interact with. Not to mention that takes up room as she will need her own accomadation and supplies to spend who knows how long in space.

Whereas if he had her in Cryo-Sleep he'd be safe in the knowledge that when she awoke she'd have people her own age to interact with, there'd be people to teach her and help her learn and more importantly, she'd survive to see Humanity have a new home.

I had a good laugh at this because Gravities aren't a unit of scientific measurement. Like, I get what you're trying to say, I just find it humorous as a math person because the .2 difference is 1/49th that of Earth's gravitational constant of acceleration (measured in meters per second^2, both of which are arbitrary abstractions). While our sensors may be able to detect it, people wouldn't feel a thing. And, trying to visualize feeling that minor of a difference was really hard for me to do! The the standard variation in atmospheric pressure, from normal changes in weather would have a higher impact on apparent weight than this change in constant mass-acceleration.

Even still, I know Xaith's gonna get called out to someone's quarters to fix the "super heavy gravity" somewhere on the ship, and the thought of it made me chuckle.

1.) Are bowling shoes required at the "bowling alley" (or "Space Strikes" as it shall be named...), and if so, are they sanitized by that spray shit that smells like dead flowers?

2.) Is the sign above the Air Lock door leading into Sector 21 only in Spanish or are we going to accommodate all languages so no one starts a nasty trend on their Ark social media account?

@LegionPothIX After launch we're gonna go to the eye, and jump away to somewhere far far away that we're not really sure where it is yet. Then fun stuff is going to happen.

Also that's going to be the fun thing with a ship this big, is something can be happening one place but people can just be living their lives in another place. I mean you saw how all the military are running around being busy, and all the civs are just doing civ things. Eating food, chilling. Stuff like that.
