I like Barnard, and while your battle with Olivie and Bernard was entertaining. I cannot approve of Bernard as an OFFICIAL character. If you look into the opening OOC post. I've placed a 50 CP price tag on creating a new "Expert" Trainer. He's obviously an "Expert trainer because of his final stage evolution Pokemon. You have not met this requirement yet. You only have 17 CP.

I'll allow you to include Bernard in your posts so long as he is tagging along with Olivie as a support character. But he will not be able to battle another official character or do any action that involves trainer points. I reserve the right to revoke this privilege if it upsets other users. I hope this doesn't upset you as I'm already bending the rules in your favor at the moment.

Oh, oops. Well, I never did intend him as an official character. He was intended to be a recurring NPC, and I felt like spending the trainer points to instill him as a character existing in the New World would be worthwhile. I thought based on your comments in the PM meant that he was good as is, so I didn't think it necessary to check the rules. Whatever restrictions apply to a recurring NPC, I am happy to accept.

You would be spending creation points, not trainer points. I'd love to see him as a regular character some day. As it stands, he's too OP for you to make that happen.

@dark light From your phone there is an app available (iphone and android supported I believe), but you're welcome to try the link in the web browser as well. If it doesn't work, then it probably requires you to download the app. It's easy enough to use on the computer, however.

And yay! Haha looking forward to him :) Will you be having him stick with your main character? Or? He's welcome to join my other character Cillian and @kiritoasuna's character, Damian, if you'd like.

Hello Everyone!!!

I have come to the realization that I would like to do a lot more with this RP than is able to be done with the tools provided by this site. Therefore, I am going to create another forum site that will supplement this RP. But before that, I am going to simplify this RP so that it is much easier to manage. For instance, I'm going to start by slimming the rules to battling. I'll try not to change the fundamental concepts that everyone seems to easily grasp though, such as catching Pokemon and the tier system.

All the features that I'm deleting, and more that haven't even been introduced yet, will be released along side the new site. I've made many stand alone forum based RPs in the past. I know that this is the easiest way to implement all the features that will make this RP much more involved. Also, by releasing all these features on an outside site, less hardcore users can enjoy a more simplistic experience on this thread.

And don't get the wrong idea. This new outside site will not replace this RP thread. In fact, being an active member of this thread is highly integral to the new site-to-be.

Trust me when I say this, there is much more in store for this RP, much, much more!

Please elaborate further on what you mean by "systems". What are your specialties? I do not currently see a need for dice rollers but I may introduce them if that changes. Yes, all characters will be able to transfer. This new site will run along side this thread. This thread is going nowhere.

By systems I was talking in game mechanics.
Mostly thinking on combat and the point buy that's already in place.
'Specialties' I don't know if I have a specialty per-say but a history of tabletop and online rpging.

A dice roller is super handy for variables and chance.
Would be useful for things like confusion. (On a 1 take half damage of the attack you chose.)

Random potions that heal anywhere between 5 and 20 hp.

You could even use a dice roller when trying to catch a Pokemon, set up rules for success and failur. Ie;
Pokemon difficulty = lvl x tier - damage done (hp lost)
Certain moves and conditions give you a bonus as do better pokeballs and items.

Lastly another idea is that each location has a Pokemon sighting chart on a d100
1-15= false alarm (nothing)
15-30= pidgy or spearow
25-40= Weedle
40-60= kakuna (crossover in numbers means choice or both)
61-80= common1 or common2
81-90= strong
91-96= rare
97-99= awesome
100= legendary

Squeeze in more or less depending on the location, and adjust chances.

NOW! To make it complete, to roll on the chart you must spend say 2CP.
Items like lures give you a bonus to your roll ( anything over 100 counts as 100) You could also spend CP to modify your roll down. 1CP = -1 on the dice result. (Just in case you were looking for that weaker pkmn)
Lastly there is out right buying the chance to catch the pkm you want by spending enough CP.
Instead of rolling spend the roll needed worth of CP. (Yes after 100 posts without spending CP you can meet a legendary.)
Alternatively if it's not on the list it means it's uncommon in that area and cost would be tier x 30, - 5 for each type that matches the location.

But I get carried away...
These are just some of my ideas and systems to go with them.

I've just always found the hunting of Pokemon to be an integral part of the gaming experience, thought it would add a nice exciting unpredictable element. :)
