At this point, since we have 12 people in this game. I am contemplating making two equal teams of six (well would be if Aether wasn't absent lol so more like 6 and 5), but then it would require the two team members from Team One to go to Two and Three. This also means that Team Two may have to fight Oswald to get to the Abandoned Castle in the end.

Or...if we want to keep the teams strong. Just make Team One go to the Abandoned Castle and Team Two have to fight Oswald.

Could we do three teams of four? I'm thinking that, if we did have two teams of six, people could be waiting just over two weeks to get their post in (assuming that everyone else posts once every three days, that's fifteen days wait time), and that feels like quite a long time to potentially have to wait.

I'm fairly happy with the current set up... but that might just be because all of my team is currently accounted for.

I'm still here. I haven't posted because in my last post I started walking, and the next step logically is to arrive at Oswald's castle and engage the good fellow in combat, but I don't have the context. I don't know about the terrain, where Oswald is, what he looks like, or much about the castle other than it's a silhouette in the distance. Since I got the feeling that making a short, empty post in which Slayer just walks closer would be a waste, I opted to wait until the next GM post.

@LugubriousIf you're passing in your turn, then let someone know. Silence is never a good answer.

My apologies. I'll keep this in mind.

@HylozoistI'll think about this and see if it is possible. It would require everyone to just move their characters into those positions and accept that there won't be an IC logical explanation for it.

Perhaps whatever we ultimately do, we wait util after the current mission? Otherwise we're going to have some interaction that doesn't quite line up with what we write up after a shuffle.

@ZarkunIt would make sense if the Squad Leader makes it that way because that's one of his responsibilities.

just a suggestion, we could have one or two people from team 2 reinforce team one for some reason and have everyone who bailed on team 1 fall in a pit trap/vortex/mine or otherwise vanish into the mist. they are close after all and we end up with relatively even team sizes 3/4/4. have them be ordered by the general to go help, then shove them at the start of the order so that they describe themselves arriving on the scene and then the rest of team one can react to that.

Give them James and we almost have "Luigi gets all the ladies" of my prediction of his char development down :P

my two cents on the situation anyway.

edit:or do squad leader order instead of general like you said.

Well, and there's our IC explanation. Sorta. Ok, so it's not foolproof, but it's something XD

@DracoLunarisThis sounds chaotic. But everyone who drops from the game, their character goes back into the grab pool. So having something happen to characters IC that wasn't GM-planned to be intentional, it just won't work.

I accidentally posted a OOC comment in the IC lol but yeah, where the GM post place holder now is is where I will post the GM post. I'll remind everyone lol since I messed that up.

@Holy Soldier

So how does leveling up work? I know that you get five stat points to put where you like, but how does that work in the case of abilities and equipment?

@Bright_OpsYou can only pick either 1 new weapon or 1 new ability. Whatever ability or weapon you choose, you need to submit it to me in PMs for approval. Also, because we're in Erion. You can choose to have a special ability or special weapon, which means an ability or weapon from the Odin Sphere game. You can completely make it up as long as it is Odin Sphere theme.

31 flying enemies and we have arrows and a foxes pew pew laser pistol as aa. This is going to be interesting. If only we had someone with a flak cannon.

@Holy Soldier
would said special abilities work outside this game setting? because gratuitous setting looting sounds fun.

also is the xp requirement increase for each subsequent level linear or exponential? sorry if this is stated somewhere already.

@Holy SoldierTwo things...

1. Would you mind me asking which way Odin and his forces are facing and where we are in relation to that, as in which side of the castle we're on (I assumed West/left), or is that something we're meant to decide for ourselves? If so, that's fine. I just want to make sure I have a more vivid picture of everything before I start writing.

2. This would largely depend on whether or not I can manage it by then - as well as the general tone of the campaign - but could I perhaps make a tentative reservation for Banjo & Kazooie as my secondary?
