I'm so far behind on these shows and maybe it's a bit of the medicine I'm taking right now talking, but... those trailers for Flash and Arrow didn't look like total garbage. Usually even in the trailers I can tell whether to skip it or not, and these didn't give me a bad vibe. I actually really like the premise of both seasons, with Oliver being in prison and Barry and Iris having to deal with their time-displaced daughter. Add to the fact that Batwoman and Gotham City are coming into the fold and I'm actually pretty intrigued.

Or maybe "Fuck Batman" lowered my expectations. I don't know.

What's with all the jerking off over Female TV shows/movies being directed by female directors?

Skin tone is definitely not the defining feature or trait of Manchester Black. So long as the actor fits the role and character, and it's done well, there's nothing wrong with not looking 100% like the original comic art. I think everyone will live.

I honestly don't care with the ethnicity, or even if they genderbend. After all they're creating an adaptation, not an exact copy.

I think Rahul Kohli could have been a blast as Manchester Black, he would have been just lovely in such a charismatic role. But alas, it won't happen since he already appeared on Supergirl as another character.

Probably because women becoming more prominent in Hollywood is a fairly newish phenomenon, and there aren’t a great deal of female-led prodctions so those few are given a pretty big spotlight.

I’unno, I don’t mind it usually. So long as they’re making solid movies and not more Ghostbuster remakes.
