I think pretty much all of us are in the "Eeeh, that could've been better but what the hell, it's posted!" mindset with our own work in this game barring the occasional post we're actually proud of. And we've all just got to accept that roleplayers are a neurotic bunch who'll always be overly hard on themselves no matter what anyone says or likes about it. The important thing is, you posted.

Hell, that's all that's kept me going. I'm still writing my first arc and the season's a month and a half away from closing out. If I stopped to think about how much I wanted to accomplish this season but didn't, I'd curl into a ball and spend all my time lamenting what isn't instead of creating what is.

And I haven't even written a single sex scene. How the hell am I going to compete with Byrd and Wraith this late in the game?!

I too do this, which is why I get all like-centric and worried. When some people just like things when they read them and others try not to hand them out all the time to maintain ratios like Wraith. The strange thing is, I never see likes passed out in ic threads at the rate they are in these comic book games.

I like super inconsistently. I came to RPGuild from board RPs where likes weren't really a thing, and I've never gotten used to it. At the moment I think I've only liked posts from Simple because I physically cannot get enough Punisher from him(and I had to suck up to ensure a team-up), and Superboy, because Blue Beetle is great and SB is my homie. I would like more, but then I'd like everything, because it's all great, and that'd be crimping Superboy's style.

In all seriousness I will ask you all here, do you like as consistently in non-comic book RPs? As it only seems to be in these that I see this kind of interaction.

Sorta-kinda. I'll use a like to tell someone I saw their post if I don't think it needs a full on reply, but the whole 'liking IC posts' thing is case by case. If other people are doing it, I join in. If not, I don't wanna be cast out like a leper for being the one guy throwing a thumbs up at every single post.
