Salvage left by the previous inhabitants in whatever condition they'd be in after how long they'd have been there. You'd be surprised at the kinds of things people would leave behind somewhere.

I was mostly thinking about taking something apart and making a weapon with it though. Say, break some wood on a pew, use it as a spear. Find some rope or chain that was used to possibly hold a chandelier to the ceiling, or an old piece of cloth so I can secure something with a pointy bit on the end of it to a stick. Floor mounted candle holders also come to mind - you know, like floor lamps...but for candles. Good for making a stick to whack someone with, if not perfect for it.

If I'm reading this correctly there were undead in the church previously as well, so I'd expect some things to be left around by them, too. Bones...for example. Bones can make for many a useful tool.

But hey, I'm thinking a bit too much maybe so its no big deal. If you say there's nothing useful there boss man, there's nothin' there.

Their is wood pews you can use. Chains and things like that aren't inside. As for the skeletons their are rusted swords and bones but I left that out because your elder hobgoblins would have already made use of such a resource and it's up to them to say if they didn't or not, not my call
