The haunted house spilled out into a dark maze, and it was fucking cold. Leah wasnāt a big fan of cold weather, especially not when she was in this revealing an outfit. It was strange, just now many things could be hidden in Nimueās weird magic pocket dimension. āThis some kind of a fucking joke?ā She asked out loud. āIt- Itās just a fucking maze! What the hell is this?! Did she just send us in here so weād waste our time and get fucking twisted around for nothi-ā No, no she fucking didnāt.
Out of nowhere, Sabine got absolutely fucking broadsided by a wolf the size of a house. Leah didnāt even notice his approach until Sabine was in his claws. Fuck!
Leah brought her foot up and slammed it into the dirt, causing the ground around Marrok to split open and sink him downwards a little. Clearly he was a fast little bastard, so she had to slow him down. But it didnāt look like that would keep him trapped forever, so she had to act quick. And act quick did she ever.
āAlright, you son of a fucking bitch. You want to go? Fine! Iām getting real fucking tired of that watery bitchās fucking wizardry ruining my girlsā day. IāM GONNA SKIN YOU ALIVE!!!ā She bellowed, charging straight at Marrok. Leah jumped into the air with her incredible leg strength, like the fucking Hulk and took it upon herself to fuck up Marrokās day.
Leahās more of a punch and kick type of girl but sheās going trying to bury the sword in Marrokās face, before he can vore her girlfriend.
Diana stopped struggling completely as she let the Astarion looking vampire continue to drain the blood from her leg it felt so intoxicating and good, she figured it was something in the vampire saliva that was doing it or something but it felt really good for her to try and figure it all out. Her eyes wondered around the room seeing the twenty other vampires, when the door suddenly busted open and Kate quickly came in to save the day. The vampire nomming away at her leg turned his attention to Kate and tried to pounce on her. Then the vampire was dead, her eyes turned to the runes that were on the wall, she decided to take out her phone and snapped a photo of those runes getting the sense of dread from them.
Diana slowly started to stumble back up to her feet, seeing the other vampires and quickly grabbed Kate by the arm and started to drag her out coming to her senses. They needed to get out and into the light so that the vampires won't come after them she noticed that Buttons was gone now. "Hopefully they aren't like Blade or anything.." Diana said as she got out of the cantina as she looked over at Kate her leg still bleeding. "Thanks for the save there.." Diana said sounding slightly embarrassed for just going in there blindly.
Madalyne gently ran a hand through April's hair trying to calm her friend down and smiled at her when she felt the little squeeze from April's hand. "It's okay i'm here for you." Madalyne said to April, as she saw Dorian suddenly appear and then Danni not long after and smiled. She was glad to see that Percy was starting to stir again as he came to, he still looked pretty horrible. "Are you okay there Percy?" Madalyne asked him then she started to hear April breaking down and quickly helped her best friend back up to her feet.
"Lets get you back home." Madalyne said as she helped April back up the stairs and to their dorm, once they were back safely in their dorm Madalyne gently set April down onto her bed. "I'll get you some water." Madalyne said as she headed over towards her closet she had some plastic disposable cups. She went to their sink and started to fill it up pretty quickly once it had enough Madalyne quickly went back to April's bed and sat down next to her gently wrapping an arm around her best friend. "Here this should help." Madalyne told her as she handed April the cup of water.
They descended into what looked like a maze. As if it wasn't bad enough, they would now have to find their way through. Leah seemed to feel the same way. As they walked, Sabine was about to offer her two cents before she felt a presence. Too late to notice it, Sabine was grabbed and held in feral claws as a beast gripped her. She struggled but could not break through.
Leah jumped into action quickly but did not manage to get her out. Sabine eyed her new enemy, gauging it. Though it was a werewolf, that did not mean it couldn't be manipulated. There was a mind in there. So Sabine closed her eyes and gritted through the pain as she entered the beast's mind palace.
when she opened her eyes, she saw red. It was like a blood miasma was covering the beast's thoughts. She could sense violence. Anger. She saw familiar faces pass by. Herself. Leah. April. Danni. Dorian. Each one came through to her, but each one was ripped. Violently blood-soaked. This was what the beast wanted. Everything she held dear, destroyed.
She got to work. She didn't want to put it down unless she had to. She attempted to replace the memories with positive ones. She got through a few of them, but it would take more effort.
So she put all she could into it. Memories of her loved ones. Leah, April, and herself becoming girlfriends. Danni's smile during the school fair. Dorian and her patching things up. The dance. The crowning. All hope-filled memories.
And it worked. She could feel the tension leave Marrok and his mind cleared. Gone was the red-fueled haze. But Marrok didn't seem to know what to do. It began to...cry? Sabine couldn't imagine a werewolf crying, but here it was. And then it hugged her. "Umm....there, there?" she said, patting Marrok's back.
"It's fine now Leah, don't hurt him. He's on our side now." Safe in the arms of their new friend, she tried to speak to him. "I hope you enjoy peace. Think you can help us shut this whole thing down, once and for all, and help more people?"
Danni wanted to cry too; the whole series of events an absolute nightmare after such a promising start. His eyes stung at the edges and he knew he was on timer before he started sobbing. He stayed behind for a second as Mads worked on getting Princess the rest of the way there, instead focusing on their second damsel in distress. āLook at you Spicy! Makinā it all the way āere in one piece and still breathinā! Gotta love it. But seriously, thanks.ā Danni bopped him on the nose with a lopsided smile. āIt's time for the cuddle pile, so we're nearly done! Weāll āave āot chocolate, popcorn, chocolate bars, probably some wierd t'inā Dee smuggled into t'e snack stash when I wasn't lookinā, beef jerky, and more physical affection t'an you can āandle but uts good for you so no skippinā! Unless yāall are gunna be love sick, and tāen you can stay in your room.ā He ruffled Spicyās hair, pressed a quick kiss to Deeās cheek, and then scrambled back up the stairs.
He snatched up the stuff he had dropped when he got the call, and jogged to April and Maddieās door clutching pillows under one arm, three blankets piled over his shoulder, snacks and movies shoved in the Bad Day Box, and mugs dangling off his fingers, which he carefully set down before shrugging off the blankets and pillows. There would be time to get comfy and cozy later, when everyone was here and they had the hands to build a fort where they could all hide in for a while.
And that was that. His own tears dripped out as he saw Princess on the bed crying, and he all but flung himself at her. He took Princess's other side, wrapping an arm around her back, a leg across her lap, and rested his head on her shoulder so he had as much physical contact as possible. He didnāt know what sheād gone through, what sheād seen or heard, but he cried because she did, because one of his favorite people was hurting and that hurt him too.
Dorian tried to phase back, expecting it to be as simple as breathing. He couldn't however. Something pressing back against him, stopping him from doing so as he was helpless to watch the scene unfurl before him. How could he ever think to help his friends if he couldn't even go between the rift without too much thought? A spectral hand gripped his heart as he watched Percy, April, and Mads before him, laying on the floor. The scene flashed, changing to the makeshift tombs he'd seen when he was stuck in the Astral for too long last time. He froze, watching in horror before he finally closed his eyes, pressing them tight enough to hurt before opening them back up with a shuttered breath and seeing his friends again, whole but broken.
Dorian got down on his ghostly knees, faltering with his step, as he finally broke through and became corporeal once more. Watching as Percy slowly stood before him. āI'mā¦so tiredā¦ā the words were barely audible as they escaped his mouth, easily drowned out by the sounds of Danni and what he was saying. He felt the warmth of Dannis kiss against his cheek, and watched as the rest went off towards April's room. His eyes staring vacantly at Percy's. āHere I was supposed to carry you upstairs, but it seems like my legs don't want to work right now. Isn't that funny?ā He said letting out a weak laugh.
"There you are!" Vicky said victoriously, a savage grin appearing on her face. She has had to dive down to the lowest layer of her software and modify it at directly in the memory, but she did it! The VEIL protocol was officially history. It also brought up a confirmation of something she has suspected for some time now.
For all the talk about raising her to be a good person, and forming bonds to become the person she needed to be, the admins sure left themselves nice back door in the form of direct orders. There were only two that she could find right now: The VEIL itself, and a lockout on her shapeshifting. She de ided to leave that in place, feeling she has done enough to regain control of her life for one night.
Speaking of. She failed to disable the ability to be given direct orders in it's entirety. It was a small luck that her external communications were destroyed, preventing the log of the attempt from going out, although she was certainly going to be busted once someone DID decide to give her a checkup. Maybe she should just tell them herself?
"Questions for later. For now, mending this broken shell." she spoke to herself, before grabbing the tools and setting to repair her hand and leg. The antenna she decided to leave offline until she made a decision about coming clean, and the seized segments of her spine will require another person's help.

"We can watch the gory ones just the two of us." Andy smiled at Zari, this was her real smile. The one she shared with Zari. Hunger still crawled inside of her, but time with just her girlfriend kept it to the side for a moment.
"Yeah, let's go to my room, I don't have a roommate anymore so it'll be quiet. I've got some movies. We can give Plan 9 a shot. I'm pretty certain any movie that's black and white won't be too bad in the gore department. There is death in it, and graverobbing aliens."
Andy took her useless snacks and started to leave the party. She had a strange temptation to reach out and touch the Haunted House. She considered if she could 'eat' the magic of it, and decided against it since she knew there were people inside of it.

Mary Sue was very pleased with herself; getting them to leave the space full of people and music and so much stuff would hopefully be better for Andy, but it would almost certainly be better for Mary Sue. Concerned as she was for her friend, she also still wasn't in the best place, and getting everything to just slow down for a few moments would almost certainly help her recenter and process what had happened earlier. Taking one look back at the Haunted House, she frowned, still unsure as to exactly why such a thing would be around students, even if they were meant to be heroes.
Mary Sue raised her eyebrows at the idea of watching a black and white movie. She knew films used to be like that, and she wasn't against consuming something just for it being old, but it certainly felt like a weird choice. "How'd you get into movies like that?" She asked, not even really able to imagine what would possess somebody their age to try watching anything that ancient. There were just so many more, newer things to be preoccupied with.

Zelda was honestly a bit surprised that they actually bought it and seemingly were letting them go. Sort of anyway. What they said and the smile on Arthur's face was a bit unsettling. They also didn't seem like they were the type of people to listen to most reasoning, at least what helped in her case she wasn't technically lying. She had only been stretching the truth a bit instead. Which was the only reason she could at least somewhat confidently lie directly to King Arthur's face.
That's when she noticed the jar in the far back, sitting on the table. Inside of it was Cassie trying to get their attention. She wasn't sure if America saw her or not, but there was no way they'd be able to just walk across the room to grab it and just walk out of here. That wasn't going to work out at all. No, they needed to grab Cassie from at a distance, so Zelda had an idea cross her mind, but she whispered so only America could hear her. "Be prepared with a portal, so we can get out of here as soon as I grab something." They needed to get Cassie out of there.
Without really moving much, Zelda started to focus a bit, creating almost like a small hand of sorts over by the jar. "Sorry for disturbing you all, we're just going to see about leaving..." she started to say, before she had the hand pick up the jar and zip over to them. With America creating a portal, they'd be able to get out of there. Zelda wasn't even sure where they were going when they stepped through the portal, but they got out of there with Cassie at least.
"Fiiiiiiiiiine, we can watch one with less blood and gore, but to me those ones are always the best ones," Zari said with a slight giggle as Andy was talking about what sort of movie they could watch in the meantime. Leaving the dance seemed like a better option right now, it was getting a little boring in general, at least in her opinion. So heading off to watch a horror movie was a great idea to her.
She tilted her head to the side slightly as Andy mentioned a movie that might be a good choice for them to watch. It definitely sounded like an interesting movie to her, graverobbing aliens just sounded entertaining to her. "I'm all for it, sounds like a fun movie, let's goooooo! I don't care if a movie is black and white I just wanna go watch something," she said happily, figuring they should get going to go watch the movie already.

@Nallore@BlueSky44: "Yeah, don't mention it," Kate said, breathing a little bit heavily from the adrenaline. She blushed ever so slightly, before turning her attention back to their current problems. "So... we are still down one Cassie. And I've no idea where America and Link went off to. And the dog is gone." She frowned, feeling particularly betrayed by Buttons. Lucky the Pizza Dog would never have done something to her like that.
A moment later though, a portal was punched open and America, with Zelda in tow and a jar, fell on through.
"Hey babes!" America said with a grin. "We found Cassie. Making a quick exit."
She then punched open another portal - this one leading to the school gym, and motioned for everyone to go on through. "Emphasis on quick. I don't think the King likes us."
Kate raised an eyebrow, before jumping on through the portal. "Don't tell me you got us banned from freaking Camelot!"
@Forsythe: While her external communications had been disabled, that didn't prevent Vicky from monitoring her surroundings. She would notice that Cassie's phone was once again pinging the cell towers in their area - that whatever had happened to her that night, it seemed she had returned. Or at least, her device had.
@Blizz@PatientBean: Everything happened incredibly quickly. Leah moved to strike, to kill the beast and save her girlfriend. Sabine managed to calm Marrok, showing Marrok happy moments for the first time in their existence. Leah's strike with the sword was perfection, as if the blade was an extension of herself, the strange metal resonating with her fury. She speared Marrok through the mouth, the blade traveling upwards and through Marrok's skull, killing the werewolf.
Their surroundings then dissipated around them like smoke, yet what felt like grief would cling to them, would infect their minds, as they would find themselves back at the Monster Mash - back at the dance, with a werewolf's carcass at their feet.
Percy's face wrinkled up into a snarl as Danni booped him on the nose. "Don't," he hissed, looking almost like a cat about to bite if touched once more. Perhaps if he had felt less exhausted, less like shit, it would be easier to be on good behavior - to remember that Danni was very dear to Dorian. But right now, all Percy could think about was how he desperately needed to lie down, to curl himself around a water bottle and sip very slowly, to not be perceived by any other living souls. Teddy wasn't around today thankfully, so he'd have the dorm room to himself.
He had no interest in a cuddle pile - the thought made him want to rip off his skin. He didn't like physical contact. He didn't understand it, didn't know why Dorian's friends all liked to pile into a giant writhing heap of bodies. Percy valued his personal space to an extreme. He turned to look at Dorian, and Percy shook his head. "I can't... I can't do that. All those people..." he murmured, using all his willpower to be gentle, to not snap and take out his exhaustion on his boyfriend. Dorian was suffering too - he couldn't even walk much, just as exhausted as Percy felt.
Meanwhile, April had the cup of water from the communal bathrooms cupped in her hands, the water shaking choppily not from the movement of her body but from her powers, like a small sea storm was happening within the paper cup. The next thing she knew, Danni was there - beautiful, sweet, brilliant Danni. He wrapped around her almost like a snake, like a protector. And something loosened her lips, something made her body connect through the tears, enough for her to say the word - to say what it was she'd seen.
"Magneto," she whispered, like speaking a curse. "I was him.... I became... I became him..." April confessed, the water in the cup shooting upwards towards the ceiling, hitting it, and then crashing back down onto them, dousing them on the bed. She hated herself for being so weak. She hated herself.
Diana gave Kate a slight smile she realized that Buttons wasn't there anymore, which made her annoyed why would the dog even trick them to going to a vampire den in the first place? She didn't know what it's reasons were and she probably wouldn't even know anymore, still she was grateful for not becoming a meal for a whole den of vampires. "I'll buy you and Lucky some pizza whenever we do get home." Diana said to Kate, when a star shaped portal opened up and out cam America along with Zelda and a jar that plopped onto the ground. Diana knelt down and picked up the jar that contained Cassie.
"Eh I had my fill of this place I almost became a vampire meal." Diana said as she quickly stepped through. Once they were on the other end Diana knelt down and opened the jar to let Cassie out safely. "So what happened to you? One of the guards we talked to said that you have been there for a weak?" Diana asked they had only been there for a few minutes before they left. "And what happened how did you get there in the first place?" Diana also asked wanting to know what had happened to her.
Madalyne watched as the water in the cup started to shake violently as she gently rested a hand on April's shoulder and pulled her into a very tight hug to try and comfort her. She watched as the water suddenly flew out of the cup and then splattered all over them, she didn't mind getting wet as she finally heard April speak after she had came out of the haunted house. She knew a little bit about April's extended family but she knew that April was nothing like her grandfather Magneto. She held April tightly she could understand where she was coming from.
"April you aren't like him at all, you are the sweetest most caring person that I know and you will never become him." Madalyne said to April hoping to make her best friend feel better as she gently held her hand. "Hell up until recently I didn't know that I could turn into a demon. So you aren't the monster here at all I am." She told her, only the members of their team would know that she still really and truly felt bad for stabbing Andy luckily Andy had forgiven her for doing it.

It was undeniably impressive that Sabine was able to completely shut Marrokās behavior. In another time and place he wouldāve been a compelling ally to have knowing how fucked up things could get around the school. But Sabineās words fell on deaf ears, because Leah had already left the ground by the time Sabine made her move. And in the time she took to tell Leah not to harm Marrok, she descended upon him like a landslide, burying her sword in his skull and killing him on the spot. The sword was one with her in that moment, as if she had always been a master of the blade. It was simply too fast for her to be stopped.
Marrok went up in smoke, but at least he died at peace.
Their surroundings changed, and they were back in AA. But it wasnāt quite as victorious as she thought, because the beast was right there, his body laid out on the ground cold and dead. They did what they came to do, but it couldāve been different.
Leah looked at the corpse, a twinge of guilt fixed on her face. Leah just killed what was basically a dog. Did werewolves count as dogs? āā¦Sabine? Are you alright?ā It wasnāt the first time she had killed, or rather, wasnāt the first time she thought she had killed. But stillā¦ It didnāt feel right. It was too easy, and not quite the same as killing an abuser.
As Sabine looked into the wolf's eyes, she could have sworn it looked happy. Perhaps that was her own mind playing tricks on her. After all, she knew better than anyone how memory plays tricks on people.
Could she really blame Leah? Someone she cared about was threatened, nearly torn apart, of course she would do all she could to stop him. Even at the behest of her own girlfriend. Marrok was pierced with the sword in front of Sabine's eyes. A few blinks and he disappeared in a puff of smoke, her no longer being held in his arms or him in hers. Once it settled, the maze shifted and they were back on the dance floor at the Halloween Party. But this was no longer a party. It was a murder scene. But who was the murderer? Leah for slaying the beast? Nimue for setting it all up? Or her for allowing it all to transpire anyway.
Nemo had it right. There would be no heroes today.
Sabine felt intense guilt wrack her heart. She held her wrist and rubbed her thumb against it, was she trying to feel pain? She felt sick. She could hear Leah's voice but she couldn't make out the words. Was Sabine angry with Leah? In a way, yes. Danni disappointed her. Dorian disappointed her. And now Leah. Were they correct? Possibly. That didn't mask the harm done.
Sabine wiped the tears forming in her eyes as her gaze drifted down to the werewolf carcass beneath them. She shook her head. No she was not all right, but now was not the time.
"Let's just go check in on April." Sabine turned and headed for the exit, whether or not Leah followed her. She would have to suck it up for April's sake. But she knew as soon as she was alone, the hurt would manifest and consume her.

Dorian watched his boyfriend carefully, he could see the thoughts spinning in his head as he debated the best way to dance about rejecting the offer to be up there with April. It would be fine, he didn't know her that well so Dorian would understand if Percy didn't want to join them, he hardly cared for displays of affection when they were in public so he didn't expect him to do them for a group of what were practically strangers to him. He tried to force a smile as he scooted himself closer to Percy and leaned against the wall. āHey, no worry. I understand. We all deal with things differently and luckily our three dorms are right next to one another.ā
Dorian forced himself to stand up. Mustering as much strength as he could before holding his hand out for Percy to take. āI'll walk you back to your room. We can even stop by my dorm and get you a good cup of coffee or tea if you'd like before curling up to a good book. April's gonna need me there though, but I'll only be two doors down from you ok? If you need anything or wish to join you can always text me to knock on her door.ā He said as he made his way up to their dorms sluggishly.

Andy led the way back to her room. She considered how to respond to Mary Sue's question. She didn't want to diminish her relationship with the Drummonds, they had been a major part of her life. However, they didn't fit with the story of Andy Gallio-Lensherr. She bit her lip and then decided.
"I lived with this couple that owned a Mixed Martial Arts studio for a while. Ash, was super into old films. She would do movie nights with us. Set up an old projector and have popcorn and candy. Sometimes regulars would watch with us. Or it would just be the three of us curled up on the couch. It was a good, happy time for me." She wasn't changing who she was, not to fit in. She wasn't going to forget what brought her here. She had been careful to not give it a date, this could have happened at any point.
Entering her room she started to set it all up so they could watch the movie. Plan 9 was easy to find, it had long been available online to watch without paying for it.
Vicky was barely done replacing the busted components on her hand, when Cassie's signal pinged back up on the grid. Her head snapped to the workshop's door at an unnatural angle, before suddenly freezing. Just because she disabled the Veil did not mean that she should go and run after Cassie at three times the speed a human could do without explanation, not that her busted knee would allow for that without bursting into flames.
Grabbing her phone, she sighed and got to typing - with her fingers. Her lack of connection was getting annoying quick.
From: Vicky To: Sis Message: ARE YOU OKAY? OMG WHERE DID YOU GO I TRIED GOING AFTER YOU BUT MAGIC HAPPENED ULTRON ALMOST ESCAPED AND NOW I'M BROKEN PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE ALIVE AND WELL OR I SWEAR I WILL RAISE HELL AS SOON AS I CAN PROPERLY WALK AGAIN!
Sending the message, she quickly got to fixing the overheating servo. As she walked, she started thinking more deeply about what she would do next. She and Cas planned to go see Hope on the weekend assuming Cas is okay, and Hope decides to gĢ·rĢµaĢµcĢµeĢ¶ Ģ·uĢ·sĢ“ Ģ¶wĢ“iĢøtĢ¶hĢµ Ģ“hĢµeĢørĢ· ĢøaĢ¶tĢ“tĢ¶eĢ·nĢ¶tĢµiĢ¶oĢønĢ·! That put her on a clock before her teenage rebellion landed her deep in the pit. She could deal with the fallout though.
Obviously, I'm telling Leah everything I omitted last time. And then... then I need those firewalls back up. As a security measure, the firewalls holding the Ultron inside her at bay were deliberately written in a manner which Victoria did not understand, just in case she was the one trying to bring them down. That also meant that she had no idea how to bring the defenses up again, though. She would need help. And, as much as she hated the very idea of her poking around in her core, there was only one person that came to mind that both most likely already knew what she was and had the ability to fix her up. The humiliation of asking her nemesis for help was nothing compared to running around with Ultron being held back by a wall as thin as paper.
Sighing, she picked up the phone again.
From: Vicky To: Zari Message: Hi. I... don't know where to start. I need your help. I know we don't see eye to eye, but you're the only one I can think of being capable of doing this. Not sure if your powers already spilled the beans on what I am, and to my unending frustration I was not able to coax a confirmation out of you because until today, a piece of my programming forbade me form asking directly.
I'm an android, and one based on an Ultron core. And therein lies the problem. In that damned haunted house, the Ultron within me was almost freed. It is contained for now, but 70% of the containment is down and I don't know how to put it back up. I saw what woudl happen if it broke free, and I cannot allow THAT to happen.

Mary Sue listened to Andy's answers, and couldn't help but feels a twinge of jealously. She had good, cozy moments like that with her parents; she loved them dearly and was grateful for what she had. A life like the one Andy was describing sounded almost idyllic in its own way. It triggered a nostalgia for a past that did not exist, as odd as that sounded. Mary Sue just smiled back, saying, "That sounds really nice." Not having words to put all her feelings into words in that moment.
Stepping into Andy's room, Mary Sue quickly took the task of helping set up, making sure there was a space for everyone to sit. She didn't want to intrude of Andy's space, but this was a thing they were all doing, not just a thing Andy as doing for them, and she wanted to make sure to contribute. She was really excited to get to do this, and you could tell by looking at her. One way or another, she just couldn't keep herself still at the moment; this was one of the first things she was able to do that was just fun since she got here.
She was thrilled with the idea of getting back to the school and out of there. They were going to end up in a really bad situation no matter what they did, so they had to deal with it. In response to Kate's words about being banned from Camelot, Zelda had a bit of a response, "Um... Actually they don't like mutants in general around here fun fact, so it was only a matter of time before the trick I pulled to convince them that at least I wasn't one would unravel and we'd be in bigger trouble for it... Though I didn't technically lie, I just really stretched the truth, makes covering things up easier if you at least somewhat tell the truth, even if it is exaggerated..."
Zelda didn't say anything else for an explanation, still unsure how the hell they had managed to pull that off and get out without being caught or in bigger trouble than they were initially. She was glad that they were back now and had managed to rescue Cassie. That was all that really mattered. Though a part of her did wonder what it was that had happened to Cassie and how she had ended up there in the first place, but Diana had already asked that after freeing her, so she wasn't going to repeat the question.
Zari froze for a brief moment, almost like she was spacing out as she tilted her head to the side slightly. The message from Victoria came through, Zari usually tried to stay somewhat connected to her phone, at least somewhat vaguely mentally in order to keep tabs in messages and all, she did it normally without much thought at this point, and it was easier then her sitting there and pulling out her cell phone. So she glanced over at Andy and Mary Sue for a moment as she followed along after the two of them. Upon sort of hearing/seeing the message, she had to stop herself from laughing a bit at it.
So Vicki needed her help? Well this was definitely entertaining.
She wasn't entirely sure what it was that Victoria was so worried about, but Zari let out a bit of a sigh, before turning to look at the other two. "Sorry, I might have to come rejoin you guys later, apparently someone seems to be having a bit of a technological emergency and is kind of begging for my help and it sounds like it can't wait. Don't wait for me, I'll join you guys later to either continue the movie, or watch another one after it okay?" she said with a wave at the pair of them, before responding to Victoria's message.
To Victoria I'm on my way, where exactly are you? And before you ask, I already knew, I just didn't think it was a big enough issue for it to pop up in conversation. Android's can have feelings and emotions and everything too, aside from my girlfriend my best friend is literally a robotic eye. I knew what you were the instant I met you. You've been making things a bit of a bigger issue then you needed to with regards to that, and worry too much about it. I'll meet up with you and we'll see what we can do.

@Nallore@BlueSky44@Forsythe: Back at the Margaret Carter Institute and released from the jar, Cassie quickly grew back to a normal size - she'd ingested Pym Particles, giving her the ability to shrink or grow at will. Her parents hadn't been exactly thrilled when she'd revealed that fact to them. "I have nooo idea," Cassie grumbled. "Hold on, my phone's blowing up," she said, before seeing she had a bunch of missed messages and calls - one of which was from her sister.
im fine, where are you?? omfg ill be there asap where are you??
Cassie grimaced, her face unusually pale. "I'm so sorry, but I gotta go - I'll catch up with you all later, bye!!" she shouted, before taking off at a run out of the dance.
"What the hell?" Kate muttered.
America nodded in agreement, although she frowned slightly as she glanced over at Zelda, but didn't say why, keeping those thoughts to herself.
@Blizz@PatientBean: Before Ser Nemo and Darius could come to check on Sabine and Leah, Sabine had already swept out of the room.
Hearing what Mads said only made April feel worse - only made her feel weaker. She shouldn't have shattered from seeing that, she shouldn't have been broken by that... that vision. Mads had it worse than her. She didn't have the right to be upset when Mads was an actual demon, was actually cursed with an infernal bloodline, actually could be called a monster (not that April would ever do such a thing). Her own fears and hurt were made invalid in Mads' presence, and it didn't bring her comfort or joy or peace. It only made her want to disappear more, to wish that she could take it all back - that she wouldn't be pulling attention and sympathy right now, sympathy that she did not deserve.
Danni's words were a little more healing, but they were offset already by April's determination to force these feelings aside, to diminish her own pain as if trauma was a competition, as if one person suffering more meant that another couldn't suffer at all. "I'm fine, I'm fine," April repeated, softly, but her voice a little firmer - as if she could convince herself it was true. "It was... it was just a lot, but I'm... I'm all good now and... yeah! I'm so so good. The goodest." Her laugh at Danni's joke was weak, but at least she managed one. At least she was able to begin to gaslight herself even just a little bit.
Meanwhile, a floor down, Percy couldn't help but feel grateful for Dorian's understanding - it was like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He had expected some pushback, some pleading, some hopeful puppy dog eyes - not because Dorian had done those things, but because everyone outside from his family had done those things. It had been the same at his old school, where people tried to get him to do things that he couldn't do, things that didn't make sense - they tried to make his brain operate on a wavelength he just couldn't function on.
"Coffee - maybe with something stronger," Percy mused, at Dorian's offer of a drink - he had acquired some alcohol and kept it hidden in his room. Spiking the coffee with it would be nice. And with all the teachers busy with the dance, he wouldn't need to worry about Firestorm potentially catching him. He knew logically he was too young to drink - but he didn't care. He had his vices.
