What if I told you a realm with all the fantasy creatures you've dreamed of exists?
What if I told you it was on our very planet but in a different dimension?

In a different dimension, Earth is a planet called Avalia. The land did not split in the exact same as in the story you know of Pangea. This world was a mesmerizing sight to behold, distinct from our own in appearance and essence. Magic pulsed through the very air, with the sun serving as its radiant source. Avalia's star was unlike any earthly sun; its luminous, pink hue bathed the sky in a delicate shade of blush. Across the planet, colossal mushrooms towering like trees and ancient trees touching the very skies adorned the landscapes. The forests were painted with vibrant hues, and the paths illuminated by the twinkling lights of pixies. Majestic castles perched atop mountain peaks and villages nestled in picturesque valleys, much like the fairytales you would imagine.

In the mystical world of Avalia, countless species thrived, beyond the wildest dreams of humankind. From enchanting fairies to fearsome orcs, the realm was a tapestry of magical creatures. Long ago, there existed only one elven race: the light elves. These humanoids, with their characteristic long, pointed ears, possessed the remarkable ability to manipulate light energy. Alas, not all were content with this power. Some of the light elves harbored malevolent personalities that brought about a fateful transformation. Their magic changed from pure, radiant light to a dark, corrupt force, and their physical appearance even changed as well. The light elves, horrified, branded them as evil and cast them out.

Over time, these outcasts, the dark elves, interbred and formed their own race, passing on their dark magic to their offspring, which would exist in their bodies independent of their personality. Despite the fact that not all of the dark elves had malevolent personalities, they were nonetheless subject to a negative reputation. Discrimination and mistrust shrouded their existence, isolating them from the rest of elven society and stoking resentment. They quickly grew tired of the cold northern lands they had been banished to and decided to attempt to subjugate other territories.

After many failed attempts in their desire for conquest, the Malthemoor Kingdom, home of the dark elves, became ever desperate and sought out an ancient power once only considered a myth. The Dark Dragon is a demigod being with overwhelming power. Unbeknownst to the other Avalian kingdoms, Malthemoor's king was able to build a bond with the Dark Dragon. The dragon bestowed the dark elves the upper hand they needed to strike Avalia with their newly attained might. Decades of pain and oppression followed to subjugate the other races to the will of the Malthemoor. The dark elves have been vengeful and unkind with their influence. They are able to have total influence over all Avalian governments and run things the way they see fit.

As the decades passed, a rebellious group began to form who followed their own myth: the five demigod dragons of each earthly element. The legend goes that they’ve hidden away after having distaste for both each other and lesser beings. It is also said that only a being able to tame their respective element can reach them in their sanctuary. However, even if they do, they will need to pass the dragon’s test to prove they are worthy of counsel.

Humans who are brought to Avalia hold the power to wield elemental magic, despite their banishment in the past. A prophecy states that humans who die in a manner involving the needed element may be able to wield it in Avalia if they are brought over at the moment of death. For example, a human being struck by lightning at that moment can be brought into Avalia and be able to manipulate it. Light elves have machines called dimensional rift opening machines, or DROMs for short. Magic can be channeled to use the machine to find exactly who they are looking for. Once these select humans are brought to Avalia, the rebels plan to split off into specific groups to train and prepare for the day when the humans can pass the dragon's tests.

Humans who are brought to Avalia can wield elemental magic, despite them being banished in the past. The prophecy states that humans who die in a manner involving the needed element may be able to wield it in Avalia if they are brought over at the moment of death. For example, a human being struck by lightning in that moment can be brought into Avalia and be able to manipulate it.

Only humans before their moment of death involving an element have the ability to come into the Avalian dimension.

The manipulation includes being able to summon the element, use it as a weapon(ex: shoot fireballs), and the ability to withstand environments with it. Those who manipulate water can breathe within it while those who manipulate fire can withstand it without burning. Humans are extremely powerful in this world and widely feared/hated/sought out. In fact, they're forbidden. It is unsafe to be human.

Humans were once welcome in Avalia. They came through rifts and exchanged knowledge and culture with Avalians. Music, books and holidays even helped influence the nation of Avalia in its present time.

Humans can attain the ability to control one of the following elements: fire, water, air, lightning, and earth.

Fairies

Fairies Wiki

Fairies reside in forest areas, flourishing most in nature. They are most often very friendly creatures and prefer to stay in civilizations. However, there are those who stray off from groups. They speak English most of the time. Appearance-wise, they look very close to humans. Their irises tend to differ slightly. Unusual hair and eye colors are very common. Their wings tend to be wispy and thin but also vary in look and color. Their ears sometimes can look similar to elf ears, pointed but most of the time much smaller than elf ears. Male fairies tend to grow horns from their head. They tend to be absolutely beautiful in appearance. They age well and live double the life of a human.

They dress in light-weight clothes, often incorporating leaves and flowers into their fashion as they absolutely adore nature. The women never wear pants or shorts as it is impolite in their culture. Women are always in some sort of skirt or dress. They never wear closed-toe shoes and always go toward sandal-type footwear. Fairies flourish in warm environments with the exception of winter fairies. Winter fairies are much rarer and an endangered species that live up in cold regions. They are able-bodied for their cold but still tend to dress in warmer gear. The women wear long dresses with warm socks underneath and boots in those groups.

They have the old-age belief that males are to be the fighters and women the caretakers. Women raise the young, tend to crops, and practice their healing abilities on their own kind and often other creatures. Men tend to practice more offensive magic that utilizes the nature around them and train to protect their kind. It was very often that fairies were called into battle during war-time as they were excellent warriors despite their peaceful demeanor and culture.

Fairies are what keep forests alive. Their magic helps the flora and fauna grow and prosper. They are nature's caretakers. They can manipulate nature at will but it is something that must be learned from their younger years, being able to twist and control a vine at will if need be. They also are excellent at communicating with animals. They have the ability to heal wounds at will but cannot reverse death. The endangered breed of winter fairies can manipulate ice and snow around them whilst retaining their healing ability.

A new breed of a fairy called dark fairies may be arising. The dark elves have created efforts to create more creatures with the ability to control dark magic. It is unknown if they have been successful to most.

Pixies are teeny-tiny fairies that look like fireflies. These are unplayable since they are too small to even communicate. However, they do exist and are commonplace in wooded areas.

One fairy is usually more skilled in one area than the other, depending on what they specialize in.

✧ Fairies can regenerate the cells over wounds, burns and reconnect broken bones for themselves or another.
✧ Some illnesses can be healed.
✧ Complex, terminal illness requires very skilled healers. This goes for very complex injuries and those with many critical injuries
✧ Death cannot be reversed
✧ Healing needs time to cool down as it is draining for the fairy. Overhealing can kill a fairy. The more skilled the healer, the less of a cool-down and the more healing a fairy can do.

Dark Fairy Limitations:
Chlorokinesis can be used to manipulate or kill plant-life, but they cannot create it at will. It is chlorokinesis in a much darker and different form. It is used to manipulate vines and branches to hurt others often.

Cryokinesis (previous Winter Fairies)
❄ Winter fairies can create and extend concentrated cold air at will. This is easier to use in cold environments while its effects are felt more in warmer environments.
❄ Users can generate coldeness in their immediate environment
❄ They can have a freezing touch that affects their target over time
❄ Fairies can use cold to physically unsettle foes and weaken sources of heat.
❄ Cold can be used to freeze targets

Dark Fairy Limitations:
Cryokinesis can be used to freeze targets up close and at a distance, but they cannot create or manipulate ice like they could formerly. It is still considered cryokinesis but lacking the connection to one of the world's greatest source of life, water. This cold magic can be weakened by strong sources of heat and doesn't fair well in hot environments.

Erebokinesis
💀 Dark fairies can create and manipulate dark energy at will
💀 They can shroud a room in darkness.
💀 Dark fairies can manipulate darkness into orbs or other offensive forms
💀 In the presence of a lot of light, this power is weakened, but not useless.

Necrosis
Only dark fairies can perform this.

Capabilities:
💀 Dark fairies can unheal any recent wounds, even ones that were recently healed. The process for the victim is gradual and painful as the skin crawls outward and the wounds grow.
💀 It can rot the flesh of the victim and destroy it. Only powerful healers can fix this damage.

Limitations:
💀 It has an extremely short range. Once someone is out of this range, they can not be harmed.
💀 It is a slow and gradual attack.
💀 Overuse can be draining and even dangerous.

✴ Dark fairies are weakened by contact with iron and silver.
✴ Healing can drain fairies to even death.
✴ Overusing any ability can drain a fairy as well, but healing has a much more detrimental effect.
✴ Fairies can be killed by most things humans can.
✴ Forest fairies cannot use ice magic or dark magic, and winter fairies cannot use plant magic, and neither can use dark magic while the dark fairies cannot use ice magic.
✴ Dark fairy necrosis has a very short range and gradual attack.

Elves

Elves are the pointy-eared archers that you imagine them to be. They excel in archery and in battle. They are nimble and tend to possess light magic. This allows them to create light orbs, shields, and create light at will. Only the most accomplished light-users can utilize invisibility. There are even rumors of elves that can foresee the future.

They tend to dress in clothes that are comfortable for battle and travel. They have civilizations but many feel happy to go off on their own or into battle. Those that stay in civilizations have a love for music, technology, and art. There are elves with many different skills including acting, inventing, and even engineering. There are no gender roles as there are in the fairies. Females are expected to learn to fight as much as males are. Elves are much more competitive and common in battle than fairies.

They tend to reside in forest areas as well. They do not create villages in cold areas but will explore there if properly dressed, as they are a very adventurous species. They also speak English well.

Dark elves are becoming more common. Elves with malevolent or darker personalities tend to have their negativity manifest in their energy and in their power. They are always outcasted due to how dangerous they are.

Elves reach full adulthood at 100 years of age.

Their weaknesses are pretty much the same as human weaknesses besides the fact they live for many, many years.
Light elves are weak to darkness and dark elves weak to light.

Photokinesis
✰The user can create and manipulate visible light.
✰They can generate orbs or shields of light.
✰Imbue their weapons with light to damage undead or dark creatures at a more effective rate.
✰Very skilled users can create illusions, meaning they probably are on the older side.
✰Very skilled users can become invisible through bending light around themselves.
✰Very few, skilled users may be able to create dimensional rifts using their light magic.
✰This ability is weakened by dark magic.

Demihumans

Demi-humans are half-human, half-animal creatures. Humans may recognize the animals their genetics are mixed with from Earth. They have heightened senses and qualities of the animal that they are mixed with two forms of demi-human full/half. Full demi-humans look like anthropomorphic animals. Half demi-humans have more human in them mostly ending up with animal ears, tails, and claws.

For example, a centaur is a human with a horse lower body.
A mermaid is also an example of a demi-human, with a human upper half and tail lower half.

There are cases of humans with large, bird-like wings that some refer to as angels as well as humans with cat-ears, cat-like pupils and senses. Half-dragon humans exist as well.

Besides mermaids that reside in water in warm climates, most live in large cities designated for demi-humans. Because of their range of different abilities they are excellent architects. They build huge cities usually in hilly-areas away from everyone since many species look down on demi-humans in disgust, seeing them as lesser beings. Half-human, half-animal creatures surprisingly are very civilized and human-like, speaking English and having a range of talented writers, artists and such, depending on the species. They have the best technology as well.

Some enjoy being in the forest or away from civilization but many live rather mundane lives. Those with more offensive characteristics like claws and strength may join the battle.

Abilities will vary with any hybrid you are, gaining whatever senses that animal tends to have. Whichever you pick, I will help you flesh it out if need be. They have no special weaknesses and retain the normal weaknesses as humans. Demi-humans also tend to have a special ability unique to that individual.

Lifespan : Normal lifespan of 200 years with the exception for Dragonborns, who live up to 500 years.

Orcs

These are large creatures that many often believe to be malevolent due to their brute strength as well as their combative culture. They rely on brute strength and possess an impressive amount of weaponry. They can be super aggressive and many often use creatures they capture in battle. Not all are truly evil, but they are often feared due to their large size and intimidating appearance. They often have a crude and aggressive nature whilst retaining intelligence. They tend easier to outsmart outside of battle or to trick as they are quite skilled in battle tactics. Some tribes are so aggressive that they often fight each other and will try to eat other smaller beings. The majority of the population can be found in Aldrakh and Dugmaghord.

Though their overall culture is very combat-focused and many are indeed as violent as many view them. However, there are the exceptions as there are a few peaceful tribes or even sometimes those who break free from their culture.

For example, the Nabarask Tribe is known to be peaceful.

Lifespan: 300 years at most
Height: Up to 10 feet

Their best characteristics are their fighting skills, their strength, and their size. Their body is also pretty good for enduring quite a few hits.
Their weaknesses are their lack of speed and their disloyalty to even each other.

Orc Magic: Rite

The Rite of Dominance

They have abilities of strength beyond compare and combat skills few can rival. Yet what makes them special in the world?

The strength of them can be rivaled, the weapon skill they have is only as good as their body allows. In a world of magic and chaos, a strong body can be rivaled quickly with magic boosting and magic weapons. They have lives that can be long so mastering a weapon is no problem, yet to an elf, that is at most a quarter of their lives, so why are they a threat? They are a nuisance at best in the grand scale and probably should have been wiped from this world years ago by just the introduction of guns, flying ships, and war weapons.

So what if they do have a magic all their own?

A magical rite that can be done to give greater strength. This rite allows for Orcs to harness the powers that they first kill after the rite is complete. This includes all creatures, insects, animals, monsters, and even people.

They gain the power of the thing they kill, but this is also a very hard thing for Orcs to do. To not kill that fly that is bothering you, to not kill an animal while you are hungry while on the hunt for more worthy prey. This is an extreme difficulty for most Orcs, to temper yourself to such a degree, to not lose sight of your goals. There are few Orcs who have reached such power, but they are terrifying.

The most known powers gained is that from:

Flies- Slowed vision in combat.

Beetles- Increased Durability.

Mosquitoes- The ability to consume the blood of other races to heal. Requires immense amounts of blood to heal wounds, and recreating body parts requires months and extremely large quantities of blood.

Boars- Increased Strength and Durability.

Bears- Greatly Increased physical strength and durability as their skin becomes extremely tough and hard to hurt and cut.

These powers move up in strength as creatures become tougher.

As the Orcs are even able to gain the powers of magic from creatures, one thing is for certain though, it is always weaker, and if it is unrelated to combat and fighting, either they do not get it or it will become something very combative, like the control of plants might either become extremely aggressive plant growth that can kill someone with vines that are thronged with thorns filled with poison, or it'll just allow them to grow plants and launch them like large projectiles.

In any case, this rite is always some form of combative nature, even if it is a non-combative thing you gained from a creature, it will be changed to a much more aggressive form of it. Like the ability to talk to animals might be changed to being able to control animals, which is where their beastmaster comes from.

Their powers are unique as it can be many things, yet many Orcs are too simple and rash to ever reach some of the higher tiers of power because of their nature. Either they kill something for quick power, they don't think about what can be killed and gained, and some just killed insects that were annoying them and now have to live with being known as "Fly Squisher", a loving term used to mark anyone who has killed anything smaller than a boar.

The Rite can be done at any point in an Orc's life, but it can only ever be done once, any more times it will kill the Orc.

For an Orc to kill an Orc during their rite, either the power they possessed beforehand would then be passed on, more powerful than before. Or they gain the knowledge, memories, and experience of the Orc they kill.

The Shaman are not the only ones to administer the rite, they also use it to pass down their knowledge. As many near older ages, they are known to find one like them and deem them the next Shaman. As when the rite is commenced, the Fledgling will kill the Shaman and gain all of his knowledge. This can sometimes warp, change, or alter their personality as they take in the knowledge, experience, and wisdom of a long line of Orcs before them.

Orc Hierarchy

Grand Chieftain - Highest of the Orc ranks.

Chieftains - This position is held by the head of an orc clan. There are four major orc clans in Avalia. These are not the wisest, not the oldest, but the most powerful orcs in the clan. Orcs become chiefs by killing or defeating the previous chief in combat This is position is contended from time to time, but not taken so easily.

Priest/Shaman - This title usually goes to orcs that have outlived their peers and missed the opportunity for a glorious death. They use their wisdom to advise chieftains in strategy. These orcs ensure traditions maintain and may sometimes offer spiritual council.

Captain - This rank was not created by orcs, but adopted from the dark elves to create structure organization to Orc Raiders. Captains have authority over raiders and often give their Raiders some form of identification, whether it be a tattoo, scar, or even by the use of a title.
Raider - The majority of orcs. Most call them warriors, but a true orc will tell you all orcs are warriors. These orcs are often found moving in groups of up to a dozen. Either enough for a successful raid or as many that happen to be eager to assert their dominance. Orc society calls young orc raiders Grunts or Pups.

Raider - These are the lowest of the orc ranks.

Outcast - Very often there are orcs who leave their clan, either by banishment or by choice of their own. There are many reasons why an orc may become an outcast, just as there are many reasons why one may rarely see one. Usually alone, but can be found in the company of as many as five orc outcasts.

In the days of old, when orcish tribes raided and pillaged in the example of Dugmaghord. When war came, towns and villages were sacked and the innocent were left dead or displaced. When roaming bands laid claim to territory, tribal war became a reinforced culture. Stories tell of an orc named Nabarask who united wayward orcs from tribes the world over on a path to carve out a new home.

Named after this orc, the Nabarask are a tribe that live by a code of peace and solidarity with Avalian people as one who walk the land together. The Tribe of Nabarask believe the world of Avalia and its surrounding universe are one living creature that extends into living beings we call people. In the same way a tree is a living being that bears fruits, the fruit eventually decay and die to return to the same earth as the tree, so too is the world of Avalia, a living thing that bears life that returns to the earth in time.

The belief that everything is connected is intertwined with tribe’s fealty to pacifism. They believe that harm should not be done to another creature unless one’s own life is truly at risk. Killing is a heavy act not to be taken lightly and though they do not shun an orc who takes another life, the tribe teaches their children from a young age that violence is a rarely broken cycle once begun.

The Nabarask tribe is a smaller tribe with around 500 members that live in the southwestern area of Avalia. The tribe mostly relies on farming the majority of the year, gradually hunting more frequently as the seasons become colder. They are a fairly isolated group; travelers rarely arrive to trade with them and many of them leave to embark to larger cities to establish trade. These orcs prefer traveling to centers of trade, since most people are not tempted to travel to the domain of orcs due to their stigma.

The martial traditions of Nabarask orcs consist mostly of hand-to-hand fighting or training with polearms and longbows. The weapons they fight with are designed to either deal non-fatal blows or kill with as little trouble as possible. Such traditions are archived using solar boxes and studied constantly by both elders and students.

Bond Rites
Viewed as a bastardization of the standard orc rites due to their nature. Instead of slaying a creature to attain a piece of their power, the Nabarask orcs form deep bonds with creatures to produce the same outcome. This ability takes more time to develop but bonding with the creature grants these orcs more than power, but faithful companions as well.

Dwarves are a short, stout race that tends to dwell within the mountains. They are often skilled warriors, miners, and workers of stone and metal. Broad and hardy creatures, while they stand under 5 feet tall, they tend to weigh the same as an elf, if not more. They have a wide variety of skin colors, ranging from deep brown to very pale. They often wear their hair long in simple styles and both men and women have the ability to grow magnificent beards. Hair color ranges from black, grey, brown, and reds.

They can easily live over 400 years old, though they average out to only living 350 years due to the harsher conditions they live under. While they are long-lived, they seem to have an even longer memory. They tend to be able to remember their past in clear detail, this brings forth other challenges. Remembering small details of the past makes it a lot easier for them to hold onto grudges. A proud race, they tend to dislike any that are taller than them as they often feel like they are looking down on them. Dwarves hold on tightly to their traditions and don’t break away from them easily. These traditions include upholding dwarven ideals of industrious labor, skill in battle, and devotion to forging fine weapons and inventions,

A very crafty people, they are often more advanced in technologies than the other races. They value the beauty and artistry of precious metals and fine jewelry and are well known throughout Avalia for their fine craftsmanship. One of their well-known inventions is the Amora, a flying machine that many people use to get around Avalia. Another invention of theirs is the blunderbuss and the flintlock pistol, however, acquiring one of these weapons from them may take a lot of convincing. Anything has a price, though, and Dwarves love their money.

What makes this hardy race truly unique is their coveted possession of the mineral known as Atunium and the or known as Celestone. Atunium cannot be mined from anywhere else but within the mountains Ironhold is nested in. Dwarves have come to possess the innate ability to activate the magical properties of Atunium. Using special runes, Dwarves have found ways to control this magic and embed the minerals within their weapons, armor, and most guarded technologies to produce unique effects and qualities. Celestone is an ore not native to Avalia, discovered by dwarves a millennium ago after it fell from the sky. It was not until during the war declared by Malthemoor did they discover its properties could imbue their basic mindless automatons into what are now known as the Warforged, living and feeling mechanical beings!

However, thanks to the Dwarves' tireless efforts and advancements in the use of Celestone, these automatons underwent a transformative improvement approximately a century ago. The Celestone, used as a catalyst in dwarven rune magic resulted in the creation of fully sentient warforged

These beings are a remarkable fusion of organic and inorganic materials, comprised of wood, metal, and other substances. Despite their mechanical composition, warforged are capable of experiencing a range of sensations, including pain and emotions. These new aspects gave the Dwarves the opportunity to utilize the concepts of goals and motives to generate a prestige fighting force. One that would rarely tire or yearn the need for sustenance. Unfortunately, with the loss of the war, the purpose of many Warforged became null. There is no longer a war to fight, and so, that leaves this new species of being with a considerable lack of purpose.

🤖Enhanced Physical Abilities: Warforged may possess increased strength, endurance, or speed, surpassing those of typical humanoid races. It is all dependent on the way they are built.

🤖Specialized Vision: Warforged may have a specialized vision, such as night vision or x-ray vision.

🤖Self-Repair: Warforged may have the ability to repair themselves, regenerating lost or damaged body parts or repairing themselves from damage sustained in combat.

🤖Tools: Warforged may have tools or implements integrated into their bodies, such as lockpicks, medical tools, wings, and many other integrations that one might think of.

🤖Not cheap:Enhancements cost amas. They are not for free. The parts and materials can become expensive especially for high grade armor.

🤖Heavy: Their bodies tend to be heavy and they may sink in water.

🤖No healing: They cannot be healed by fairies. Any damage taken will require repairs that without the proper tools and knowledge, could require the service of a professional.

🤖Vulnerable to core destruction: Despite their high durability, they technically still can be destroyed. Destroying their vital parts could mean the end.

🤖Built for particular tasks: Usually warforged are built for specific tasks and cannot do functions outside of their chosen role. As previously mentioned, enhancements can be made but they will cost materials and amas.

🤖Maintenance required: Regular maintenance on a monthly to yearly basis could be needed to keep all parts of the warforged in good shape.

As harsh and unyielding as the northern winters, Bowyn is the sort of man who grits his teeth and bears his burdens. Ill-tempered and cold on the surface, Bowyn is cautious about who he chooses to trust or even care about. He keeps himself guarded, selfish to an extent, but always among the first to head toward danger. Despite his pessimistic outlook he still sees some people as worth protecting. He will go to any lengths to protect those he feels need it, as well as for those who fight with him, but for those he sees as his enemy, he is entirely ruthless. There are very few lines Bowyn even recognizes and almost none that he wouldn’t cross if it meant an end to the dark elves. (and unless you’ve got Bowyn’s ride-or-die loyalty, best to not try and hug him.)

Bowyn has the patience to wait for things he wants, more than willing to play the long game but is frequently impatient with those around him. Jaded, outspoken, and introverted, Bowyn is not easy to get close to, but with his trust comes unwavering loyalty. His honesty is harsh, his judgments quick, he has very little capacity for forgiveness, and mercy is entirely forgotten. Bowyn is driven forward by a need for vengeance above all else. Fear and anxiety do not hold him back from what he wants, they drive him forward.

What Bowyn lacks in education he makes up for with cunning and adaptability. He catches on quickly, works hard, believes in self-reliance, and does not give up. His sense of humor has grown dark, sarcastic, and often biting. He is more comfortable making allies than friends and makes a clear distinction between the two; allies can be manipulated, and they can be used, but he likes to think he’d never do that to a friend. His main weapon, other than magic, is a cobalt short sword. He also carries a large steel hunting knife at his side and another small steel knife remains concealed in his boot.

History:

His life began in an orphanage; humble, and difficult at times, but never lonely. His memories of childhood are fond ones, surrounded by people who felt like family in every way that mattered. When he was younger the older children taught him how to hunt and steal, when he was older he helped teach the younger children. That was the way the winter fairies worked, collectively, to ensure they all survived and thrived as best they could in their harsh homeland.

Bowyn was always skilled with magic. He started off using his magic to build his own toys from ice, a common habit amongst the poorer members of his community. It was long before he found he had a true talent for ice sculptures, but despite that talent and best efforts, the world he lived in had little use for what he created. And the rest of the world was hard to ignore. Destruction simply seemed a better use of time and talent. He sought out rebel groups and threw himself into anything that could help undermine the dark elves.

He was young, hopeful, and idealistic. He thought he was invincible.

He led an attack on a small group of dark elves, hell-bent on destroying their supplies. Here he learned he was not invincible. He watched many of his closest friends die. But living was worse. He ended up captured and branded with the dark elf symbol for treachery, a mark left burned into the side of his neck that remains his favorite scar. It both marks his dedication to the rebellion and serves to remind him of the dangers of recklessness, all etched forever into his skin.

The next five years were lost in a dark elf prison. One escape attempt ended with the severing of his wings. One of many failed attempts. Eventually, he succeeded. There was no other option, it was either escape or die encaged. It became clear that alone, he would accomplish little. He spent months learning to communicate with a stoat that found its way into his cell. The stoat brought him the keys to freedom, and Bowyn escaped by leading a prison riot that ended with the slow death of every dark elf in that prison, guard or not. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the torture of dozens of dark elves, Bowyn once again glimpsed freedom. It was a beautiful day.

There were few places he could go after that, but the only option he ever saw for himself was with the rebellion. Bowyn let his morals stretch and warp to accommodate his goals. Full dark elf annihilation would be Avalia’s only salvation. Bowyn found a cause to devote his life to, something to live for, and a future to dream of; a better world for his people.

Zion trusts people until they prove otherwise, he looks for the good first. He has always been a shameless extrovert, always willing to reach out and get to know those around him. Zion will absolutely be giving out giant hugs and was raised with the perspective that those he travels with are the same as family. He places incredible value on traits like honesty, bravery, and integrity. He would always try to save another if there is even a chance he can help, but he has sense enough to know when a situation has no good outcome. Zion will always choose to be as kind as he can be, and he will also go to great lengths to save Avalia from this age of darkness.

A good-natured and eternally optimistic cat, Zion’s temper only surfaces when faced with true malevolence. Almost always calm, sometimes chill to the point of being lazy, and often appearing to be either apathetic or insanely cocky in the face of danger. While pride is one of his faults, Zion also holds a very genuine belief that Avalia will take care of good people, there is no need to worry. He believes that while battles may be lost, good will always defeat evil in the end. Patient with people, occasionally impatient in situations, he prefers to act quickly over thinking things out. Brave to the point reckless but very little holds a lion back.

Far from a cunning mastermind, with a tendency towards being too trusting of strangers, Zion is not interested in manipulation and has little tolerance for those who are. Making friends is much more his wheelhouse. Zion loves a good joke, and a bad joke, really any excuse to have a laugh. History:

As every major territory in Avalia slowly fell to the Dark Elves, it became clear no civilized place in Avalia would be safe. But there were parts of Avalia that could never be conquered, where nature ran far too wild to be anything but free. Pilgrims of the Wandering Clouds formed as a nomadic collection of feline Demihumans who had fled civilization as Avalia fell to darkness. Zion’s life was one of constant travel, endless adventure, and explorations, and living as close to wild as they could without turning feral. They never stayed in one place for very long, always moving to avoid any contact with Dark Elves and their allies. Their clan stayed free, they all looked out for one another.

His days were spent traveling, hunting, and training, while his nights were often spent sitting around a fire listening to stories or celebrating with his tribe. His people often traded with the fairy kingdom, and when they heard of the insurrection within the fairy kingdom, his father and many other warriors from his tribe left to aid their cause. Zion was raised to believe that a cat is a noble creature, and so a cat must always choose the noble path. Zion holds tight to this belief because his father died choosing the noble path; Thunder died fighting for Avalia, he fought long after hope was gone, and so Zion always remembers whose blood runs through his veins.

Until their paths inevitably crossed with Dark Elves and their horrible machines.

Warforged, a thing more vicious than Dark Elves themselves. An enemy with empty eyes and no soul behind them, nothing in it to differentiate between a warrior and a child. Most of his clan was slaughtered in the days before his mane had even grown. He escaped, but it did not feel noble to run. Neither did it feel right to ignore his mother’s final request.

There was nothing but the immense guilt of having not died alongside his clan; his family. His community had made everywhere a home, without that, he was lost. He found purpose through living as his parents did, always striving for the noble path Zidur expects of all cats, and by helping those he can.

Personality:

Mister Luum almost always comes off as friendly and almost intrusive toward others whether he’s known them for a few seconds or several decades. He’s rarely ever seen by his lonesome, constantly engaging with others. Whether friend or foe, Mister Luum is sure to indiscriminately flash his pearly whites. Divisions between social classes and species don’t concern this elf making him unreluctant in approaching the largest of orcs or the grumpiest of dwarves. However, whenever he’s left alone he finds himself overwhelmed by boredom to the point where he’ll seek out nearly anything to be his company. Whenever this fails, Mister Luum will simply talk to himself, and quite loudly too. As far as selfishness goes, Mr. Luum wavers here. He’ll give to those with less than himself, but he won’t give up valuable items or enough where he finds that it harms himself. He won’t spoil anyone, as he feels most people should be capable of earning their keep. Mister Luum will sometimes point this fact out using his slave demihuman as an example. As friendly and warm as Mister Luum is, he doesn't prefer being touchy unless he’s trying to get under someone’s skin who displays introverted tendencies. Despite what he displays on the outside, Mister Luum is not very quick to trust others. His intrusiveness and attention he gives to others are not always well-intentioned but rather suspicion masked by curiosity.

Mister Luum retains quite an upbeat mood, even annoyingly so. Even when all hope seems lost, the elf seems to always find a thin silver lining to grasp a hold of. Patience is something Mister Luum has learned and practiced and is not necessarily in his nature. You say “Go” and the elf is running to the hills but he also has the capacity to simply wait. He’s learned to do this by occupying his time with talking, singing, thinking, and meditating. Mister Luum would neither consider himself a coward nor anxious in stressful situations, though he would choose to leave a situation he determines might end poorly. It’s more about weighing the pros and cons logically than deciding emotionally with him.

Despite all that has been given, Mister Luum is a bit of an enigma. He’s deemed trustworthy enough to assist in the rebellion, but not much is known about him. The elf may seem intellectual one moment and then a total fool the next. He seems to get along or at least tolerate most, but his smile could be considered a faux that he wears as a mask. History: Antaris “Mister Luum” Luminos was born and raised in the proud Sun Elf Kingdom nearly half a millennia ago. He had always been the social butterfly, even annoyingly so at times. As a child, he might have been passed off as the kid who couldn’t just keep quiet but his proclivity for generating light magic drew the attention of his elders. Light generation came easy to him, but the rest, not so much. He was always considered to be the light elf in his generation that could shine the brightest but when it came to technique and applying the magic into useful shapes, Antaris was quite lackluster. His elders that were once intrigued quickly dismissed his giftedness. Though, Antaris thought nothing of it as a young elf, always enjoying the lavish light show he could create, his parents thought otherwise. They saw it fit to set their son on the path to be placed into the House of Solaris, one of the few guilds of the Sun Elf Kingdom. The House of Solaris was known for training and preparing light elves to weave and bend light magic a cut above the rest. While their sister guild, the House of Lunathea focused on the raising of priests and priestesses meant to put the kingdom at ease with their abilities to soothe and protect the kingdom and its people, The House of Solaris’ purpose was to create far-reaching soldiers meant to eliminate threats before they were too close to home.

Once in the guild, Antaris seldom saw his childhood friends, even when he put forth the effort to make time for them. He dreaded the training and meditation he was required to do and it only became worse when he was eventually moved into the guild’s barracks. At the guild, he learned what he would be offered in normal elven schooling but with an additional focus on the study of magic and the blessings Solaris gifted upon the world. He was given time off but it was always staggered against everyone else. Still, he attempted to make friends as he always had but was somewhat of the oddball of the bunch. It’s not like he chose to be there. The training wasn’t as spectacular as he would have liked it to be. Learning to use magic was one thing, however, simply learning about magic was far less intriguing in Antaris’ young years. The curriculum made sense for the time. Avalia was at peace. The only threats consisted of large creatures that steered too close, bandits, and an occasional party of green-skins that sought to pillage neighboring villages. That was the case for a long time, a few hundred years to be exact… And then the Malthemoor Kingdom came in like a bat out of hell.

Antaris was both excited and wary of the war declared by his banished elf-kin. He’d get to actually do something that didn’t just amount to a simple flash in the dark but also knew his Kingdom hadn’t prepared for something like this. The idea of Malthemoor succeeding was a bit ridiculous until they took Roshmi City and the trading hubs on the seas. Deploying to distant battles in need of Sun Elf Kingdom soldiers never promised a safe return home, so every time Antaris was sent forth, he fought with everything he had. He even established a bit of a name for himself due to the magical wrath he unleashed on his foes. “The Beacon.”

His enemies always knew he was coming with his noticeable flashes of light in battle. It gave them a momentary advantage. They could prepare for his advancement. Unfortunately for them, the real problem was stopping Antaris once he reached them. A mage that truly weaponized his magic even if he wasn’t a master of all its capabilities.

Alas, the victor of the war was Malthemoor, and the word was spreading about their king wanting the heads of every notable Sun Elf soldier that fought against them. Antaris the Beacon being one of them. Antaris had been a powerful mage that fought dutifully for his kingdom, but this elf was not about to have his head chopped off as a reward for going above and beyond with his service. And so, he rid himself of his uniform and even cast away his name as he set on starting a new life. He traveled about, gallivanted foolishly, tried drugs out just because, started a business or so he says and even purchased a slave for sale to make life easier. However, it did not matter where he traveled or what he did, the dark elves were in power and it weighed down against the people of Avalia. Hope seemed lost, almost completely, until he was met by an old family friend that piqued his interest. A rebellion.

An unassuming ring made of adamantium. No one knows how he got it, but it's been imbued with just enough light magic to act like a lantern in low light.

History

Just over 600 years ago, Drosis was born as the only child of Nirya and Yarsinna Morr. His life was quiet, growing up a mile from Roshmi City. As a kid, Drosis was taught life magic by Nirya, his father. It wasn't easy for him at first, but after a few weeks, Drosis managed to produce his very first spark of light. Nirya taught him to produce illusions, to bend light in such a way that it could be only mistaken for a real thing. Between the days Nirya taught him light magic, Drosis spent much of his time by the ocean. He was fascinated by the ships he saw moving in and out of the nearby port. Once, he even scrounged up broken pieces of driftwood and old rope to make a raft, just so he could drift around on the water and pretend he was even remotely on the same level as the mighty vessels in the distance. There was very little else that happened in his life as a kid, but by the time Drosis had reached adulthood, he was taking part in sparring matches against Nirya- Without either of them throwing a single punch. The backyard looked like an entire war was happening because of the constant flashes of multicolored light flying back and forth. Being a former soldier in Roshmi's guard, Nirya always gave the boy a run for his money.

Drosis had been working in the port for the last few years, and officially struck out on his own at the age of 104, when he was certain his aging parents would be fine without him. His life was largely the same for the next 500 years. roughly 110 years ago, he found work on a cargo ship bound for Malthemoor. The Dark Kingdom was a touchy subject back home, but work was work, and Drosis yearned to see waters he never laid eyes on, so he thought nothing of it. The passage across the world was long and taxing, but between the companionship of his crewmates and the other magic-users aboard the Wayward Eagle, Drosis was in his natural element. He wouldn't have traded it for the world. The first sign that things wouldn't be so perfect were the blockades around Malthemoor. Hundreds of ships lined the port, and the Wayward Eagle was escorted by two ships into the port. Dark Elf guards unloaded all the cargo, and they were ordered to follow an escort back out before they could load again. Cargo ships don't return to their original port with an empty hold. At least, that's what the captain told the admiral overseeing the unloading. The dark elf admiral informed him that they would turn back immediately or the ship would be burned. Drosis witnessed the entire thing and was confused. No one officially said it during the incident, but Malthemoor had declared war on Avalia.

To their regret, the ship left port with an empty hold, and was escorted back past the blockade. Minutes later, a cannonball struck the very edge of their mast, at which point the entire ship responded with dismay. They opened fire on the ship a quick attempt to silence any suggestions of suspicion. They prepared to fire a second shot, but Drosis halted it with a shield of light, which splintered and scarred his face. By the time they readied a third cannonball, the Wayward Eagle was out of range. Two ships were sent after them, but Drosis, along with the three other proper mages aboard successfully fended them off until they were well out of Malthemoor's waters. There were no faeries aboard to heal his face, but his eyes were thankfully unharmed. The next few months back were tense. Everyone aboard was wondering what things must've been like back home. Did Avalia already know that war had been declared? Many of the crew wanted to fight in this war, or at least do something to prepare for it if it wasn't official yet.

When they finally returned to a port, the city of Roshmi was smoking. Countless buildings had been burned to ash, and Malthemoor ships were docked in the harbor. Dark elf soldiers patrolled the streets, and as they got within view of dry land, darkness started to cover the sea. They used magic in an attempt to run Wayward Eagle into the rocks, and it worked. Drosis was competent with light magic, but even he couldn't match the entire Malthemoor coast guard. Their ship crashed into nearby rocks, and fell apart like glass. Two of the deckhands were crushed by the mast as it fell, and the capstan flew apart, breaking someone's leg. Drosis and the survivors swam away, using the cloud of darkness as a smokescreen. They drifted a hundred feet from the harbor and rested under a warehouse for hours. Some of them planned to sneak out of Roshmi and join the nearest Avalian military force. Others went to see how their families were getting by in the aftermath of this. Drosis was one of them. Two days later, he gave Nirya and Yarsinna Morr a proper funeral in their backyard.

He managed to pull his father's old sword from the burnt remains of their home, and took it with him as he joined the fight against the dark elves. Drosis found himself aboard a naval warship, where he took the fight to the elves, using magic and swordsmanship to raid outposts. Drosis boarded Malthemoor warships and shattered their hulls with beams of hardened light. The first two years of the war were hard on everyone, but they pulled through. At least, they did their best to. Malthemoor often overwhelmed naval fleets, and the initial victories didn't last. Eventually, Drosis' raiding parties dwindled to nothing, and retreat became a regular occurrence. By the third year, morale was low, and Drosis was starting to rethink his decisions. The war was at its darkest point, Avalia was on the run, and Malthemoor only pushed further. He came to the conclusion that they were fighting a losing battle, and deserted. Drosis left the war behind and gathered up a crew of like-minded people. They waited the war out on their own terms, and turned to piracy and underhanded means to look after the less-fortunate people of Avalia. One fateful day, he and his newly formed group of trusted individuals snuck into a dark elf harbor. Under the cover of night, they snuck into a ship's hold, and waited until it cast off from shore. One hour later, the raiders caught the crew by surprise. Drosis used light magic to blind and distract long before the dark elves could use their shadow magic, and in the end, they were all thrown overboard.

They dropped the Malthemoor flags from the mast, helped themselves to every scrap of money they could find, and burnt away any identifying labels along the hull. Drosis, now officially the captain, named her the Saltrunner. From that point on, they did things on their own terms. The war was eventually lost, but Drosis and his pirates were never caught and thrown into a prison or slave camp. They stayed in the fight, travelling across Avalia, to any port or black market he could find. To this day, Captain Drosis Morr still steers his stolen ship, and has amassed a large enough crew to take over entire warships, just like in the early days of fighting. Drosis joined a rebel group of light elves he met during the war and helped smuggle supplies to and fro the rebels. Because of his close ties and trust with those elves, he was asked to have a direct leading role in the movement and hide a human on his ship. He agreed due to his motivation towards a better world and some monetary payment.

Trained as a spiritual advisor, Aurora has a quiet but dutiful demeanor. She is seen as kind as she is reserved towards expressing her own feelings and opinions. She enjoys peace and tries to settle any disagreement before aggression arises. Therefore, the elf prefers offering fundamental truths as opposed to unintentionally inviting any hesitation or dispute into a discussion. However, if need be, she is the first to offer herself as a sacrifice in any quarrel.

Her will is patient, and even in a spar of any sort, Aurora remains calm and collective. She is generally slow in reacting, as she tries to avoid fights at all cost and considers the well-being of all involved. Her innocent face of worriment is a bold statement of how she humbly cares for those who are not herself. She does not wish to even think ill of her enemies. However, when she must defend a companion, she will honorably pursue her duty.

Aurora is seen as an easy target, but her wisdom provides for a way of life that guides her away from atrocities. Her charm is enchanting but never used in a dishonorable fashion. It speaks to the good in other creatures and can often times be ignored by the omens of others. Nonetheless, her foresight ought not to be dismissed, even by the most powerful.

In everything, Aurora cherishes life as she does all creatures as she takes not just her life but the life of those around her very seriously. For this reason, she tends to keep an arms distance from many others but is well appreciated and cautiously friendly towards all. Occasionally, she will engage in light-hearted whims. _{H I S T O R Y}

Born of two elves, who both worked as safeguards for the royal court of the Sun Kingdom. Her mother was a dutiful maid, and her father was a spiritual advisor to the royal court. Aurora’s father Claderith Dyewynn was a much older elf, believing to keep his wisdom and clairvoyance through celibacy and chastity. He never let his mind wander into romantic territories until he slowly softened his heart to Aurora’s mother Forsythia.

Forsythia bore Claderith two children. One son Rowan and later a daughter Aurora. Both were raised within the Sun Kingdom’s walls, and both have devoted their lives to continuing their servitude inside these royal grounds. Rowan decided to serve in the military with his horse Cephal. His knowledge and studies of archery and combat serve the kingdom well. On the other hand, Aurora was born blind and was there was great fear she would lead a crippled life. However, what she lacked physically, she more than compensated in wisdom and holy insight.

Aurora was trained to be sensitive, not just to the heart of others but to the world around her. She can hear her surroundings and make accurate judgements on her whereabouts. If it were not for the white clouds shading her pupils, her grave and ease of movement can be thought as that of an elf with her site.

Her lack of sight causes her to be less prone to worldly desires, and for such a reason, her studies, which follow the footsteps of her father as a spiritual advisor, have come more naturally for her than most. She began at an early age, having taken interest in other worldly duties due to her differences among the other eight elves. She has inherited the mindful duty of her father, letting little cease her interaction with the spiritual world. From her mother, she has inherited a tender touch and humble nature.

An unassuming ring made of adamantium. No one knows how he got it, but it's been imbued with just enough light magic to act like a lantern in low light.

History

Just over 600 years ago, Drosis was born as the only child of Nirya and Yarsinna Morr. His life was quiet, growing up a mile from Roshmi City. As a kid, Drosis was taught life magic by Nirya, his father. It wasn't easy for him at first, but after a few weeks, Drosis managed to produce his very first spark of light. Nirya taught him to produce illusions, to bend light in such a way that it could be only mistaken for a real thing. Between the days Nirya taught him light magic, Drosis spent much of his time by the ocean. He was fascinated by the ships he saw moving in and out of the nearby port. Once, he even scrounged up broken pieces of driftwood and old rope to make a raft, just so he could drift around on the water and pretend he was even remotely on the same level as the mighty vessels in the distance. There was very little else that happened in his life as a kid, but by the time Drosis had reached adulthood, he was taking part in sparring matches against Nirya- Without either of them throwing a single punch. The backyard looked like an entire war was happening because of the constant flashes of multicolored light flying back and forth. Being a former soldier in Roshmi's guard, Nirya always gave the boy a run for his money.

Drosis had been working in the port for the last few years, and officially struck out on his own at the age of 104, when he was certain his aging parents would be fine without him. His life was largely the same for the next 500 years. roughly 110 years ago, he found work on a cargo ship bound for Malthemoor. The Dark Kingdom was a touchy subject back home, but work was work, and Drosis yearned to see waters he never laid eyes on, so he thought nothing of it. The passage across the world was long and taxing, but between the companionship of his crewmates and the other magic-users aboard the Wayward Eagle, Drosis was in his natural element. He wouldn't have traded it for the world. The first sign that things wouldn't be so perfect were the blockades around Malthemoor. Hundreds of ships lined the port, and the Wayward Eagle was escorted by two ships into the port. Dark Elf guards unloaded all the cargo, and they were ordered to follow an escort back out before they could load again. Cargo ships don't return to their original port with an empty hold. At least, that's what the captain told the admiral overseeing the unloading. The dark elf admiral informed him that they would turn back immediately or the ship would be burned. Drosis witnessed the entire thing and was confused. No one officially said it during the incident, but Malthemoor had declared war on Avalia.

To their regret, the ship left port with an empty hold, and was escorted back past the blockade. Minutes later, a cannonball struck the very edge of their mast, at which point the entire ship responded with dismay. They opened fire on the ship a quick attempt to silence any suggestions of suspicion. They prepared to fire a second shot, but Drosis halted it with a shield of light, which splintered and scarred his face. By the time they readied a third cannonball, the Wayward Eagle was out of range. Two ships were sent after them, but Drosis, along with the three other proper mages aboard successfully fended them off until they were well out of Malthemoor's waters. There were no faeries aboard to heal his face, but his eyes were thankfully unharmed. The next few months back were tense. Everyone aboard was wondering what things must've been like back home. Did Avalia already know that war had been declared? Many of the crew wanted to fight in this war, or at least do something to prepare for it if it wasn't official yet.

When they finally returned to a port, the city of Roshmi was smoking. Countless buildings had been burned to ash, and Malthemoor ships were docked in the harbor. Dark elf soldiers patrolled the streets, and as they got within view of dry land, darkness started to cover the sea. They used magic in an attempt to run Wayward Eagle into the rocks, and it worked. Drosis was competent with light magic, but even he couldn't match the entire Malthemoor coast guard. Their ship crashed into nearby rocks, and fell apart like glass. Two of the deckhands were crushed by the mast as it fell, and the capstan flew apart, breaking someone's leg. Drosis and the survivors swam away, using the cloud of darkness as a smokescreen. They drifted a hundred feet from the harbor and rested under a warehouse for hours. Some of them planned to sneak out of Roshmi and join the nearest Avalian military force. Others went to see how their families were getting by in the aftermath of this. Drosis was one of them. Two days later, he gave Nirya and Yarsinna Morr a proper funeral in their backyard.

He managed to pull his father's old sword from the burnt remains of their home, and took it with him as he joined the fight against the dark elves. Drosis found himself aboard a naval warship, where he took the fight to the elves, using magic and swordsmanship to raid outposts. Drosis boarded Malthemoor warships and shattered their hulls with beams of hardened light. The first two years of the war were hard on everyone, but they pulled through. At least, they did their best to. Malthemoor often overwhelmed naval fleets, and the initial victories didn't last. Eventually, Drosis' raiding parties dwindled to nothing, and retreat became a regular occurrence. By the third year, morale was low, and Drosis was starting to rethink his decisions. The war was at its darkest point, Avalia was on the run, and Malthemoor only pushed further. He came to the conclusion that they were fighting a losing battle, and deserted. Drosis left the war behind and gathered up a crew of like-minded people. They waited the war out on their own terms, and turned to piracy and underhanded means to look after the less-fortunate people of Avalia. One fateful day, he and his newly formed group of trusted individuals snuck into a dark elf harbor. Under the cover of night, they snuck into a ship's hold, and waited until it cast off from shore. One hour later, the raiders caught the crew by surprise. Drosis used light magic to blind and distract long before the dark elves could use their shadow magic, and in the end, they were all thrown overboard.

They dropped the Malthemoor flags from the mast, helped themselves to every scrap of money they could find, and burnt away any identifying labels along the hull. Drosis, now officially the captain, named her the Saltrunner. From that point on, they did things on their own terms. The war was eventually lost, but Drosis and his pirates were never caught and thrown into a prison or slave camp. They stayed in the fight, travelling across Avalia, to any port or black market he could find. To this day, Captain Drosis Morr still steers his stolen ship, and has amassed a large enough crew to take over entire warships, just like in the early days of fighting. Drosis joined a rebel group of light elves he met during the war and helped smuggle supplies to and fro the rebels. Because of his close ties and trust with those elves, he was asked to have a direct leading role in the movement and hide a human on his ship. He agreed due to his motivation towards a better world and some monetary payment.

Trained as a spiritual advisor, Aurora has a quiet but dutiful demeanor. She is seen as kind as she is reserved towards expressing her own feelings and opinions. She enjoys peace and tries to settle any disagreement before aggression arises. Therefore, the elf prefers offering fundamental truths as opposed to unintentionally inviting any hesitation or dispute into a discussion. However, if need be, she is the first to offer herself as a sacrifice in any quarrel.

Her will is patient, and even in a spar of any sort, Aurora remains calm and collective. She is generally slow in reacting, as she tries to avoid fights at all cost and considers the well-being of all involved. Her innocent face of worriment is a bold statement of how she humbly cares for those who are not herself. She does not wish to even think ill of her enemies. However, when she must defend a companion, she will honorably pursue her duty.

Aurora is seen as an easy target, but her wisdom provides for a way of life that guides her away from atrocities. Her charm is enchanting but never used in a dishonorable fashion. It speaks to the good in other creatures and can often times be ignored by the omens of others. Nonetheless, her foresight ought not to be dismissed, even by the most powerful.

In everything, Aurora cherishes life as she does all creatures as she takes not just her life but the life of those around her very seriously. For this reason, she tends to keep an arms distance from many others but is well appreciated and cautiously friendly towards all. Occasionally, she will engage in light-hearted whims. Her humor is sensitive and often causes a shy blush when pushed to react. In these moments, Aurora keeps them safeguarded in her memory, not taking them for granted.

_{H I S T O R Y}

Born of two elves, who both worked as safeguards for the royal court of the Sun Kingdom. Her mother was a dutiful maid, and her father was a spiritual advisor to the royal court. Aurora’s father Claderith Dyewynn was a much older elf, believing to keep his wisdom and clairvoyance through celibacy and chastity. He never let his mind wander into romantic territories until he slowly softened his heart to Aurora’s mother Forsythia.

Forsythia bore Claderith two children. One son Rowan and later a daughter Aurora. Both were raised within the Sun Kingdom’s walls, and both have devoted their lives to continuing their servitude inside these royal grounds. Rowan decided to serve in the military with his horse Cephal. His knowledge and studies of archery and combat serve the kingdom well. On the other hand, Aurora was born blind and was there was great fear she would lead a crippled life. However, what she lacked physically, she more than compensated in wisdom and holy insight.

Aurora was trained to be sensitive, not just to the heart of others but to the world around her. She can hear her surroundings and make accurate judgements on her whereabouts. If it were not for the white clouds shading her pupils, her grave and ease of movement can be thought as that of an elf with her site.

Her lack of sight causes her to be less prone to worldly desires, and for such a reason, her studies, which follow the footsteps of her father as a spiritual advisor, have come more naturally for her than most. She began at an early age, having taken interest in other worldly duties due to her differences among the other eight elves. She has inherited the mindful duty of her father, letting little cease her interaction with the spiritual world. From her mother, she has inherited a tender touch and humble nature.

Truthfully Kenia is rather extroverted as she actually enjoys being around people and can be rather charismatic. She has a pretty strong presence and often will take charge in social situations. She does have moments, however, of introspection and can be guarded with her emotions, making her have some slight introverted tendencies as well. Upon first meeting her you’ll find that she is rather selfish, willing to use people she doesn’t really know for her own gain. Break past her walls and grow close to her and you’ll find she actually is rather selfless. She will often make sacrifices and risks in order to protect those she loves and cares for. Sometimes she can come across as rather mean, having quite the sarcastic tongue on her. Witty and confident makes for a person who won’t hesitate to tell you how she really feels about you. She can be rather affectionate if she grows close to you otherwise she doesn’t like to let others get close enough to touch her unless it’s on her own terms. Being extremely guarded means it can be rather difficult to gain her trust.

Kenia is very passionate about many things, and especially so with the people she loves. When she cares for someone, she cares for them deeply and has experienced enough loss in her life to never want to feel it again. Her passionate nature also often extends to her interests, including books, sweets, and music. Kenia has often been called rude or even evil, but this is often just a defense mechanism. If one were to break past the walls she has up and grow close to her, they would soon find that she obviously can love others deeply and would do anything to protect them.

Kenia feels things both strongly and deeply. While she is often teasing, witty, and carefree when she is happy, her most immediate reaction when angry or sad is to channel her darker emotions into a barely-contained rage or killing calm. This gets her into trouble more often than not. Often she will take rash actions and has a desire for vengeance when someone close to her is harmed or even killed.

Despite being an assassin, she is quite meticulous in managing her appearance. She has a fixation on finery and insists on wearing fashionable clothing. She can often be found spending her money on frivolous things and can be surprisingly girly.

Kenia also has a strong moral compass, surprisingly enough. Though she often tries to suppress the memories of her tumultuous past, her experiences have shaped her into the woman she is, and that is a woman who does not tolerate injustices. She absolutely loathes slavery and unnecessary cruelty. People that partake in either of these, she will do anything necessary to make them pay for their actions.

Once upon a time, in a far-off land called Avalia, there was a young elven princess named Alea who fell deeply in love with the captain of the guard. While she was the youngest child of King Lirien Arcaena and viewed herself as unimportant compared to her four older siblings, her father was not pleased with this romance and did everything in his power to stop it. He forbade them from seeing each other, but the princess and the captain refused to be separated.

One day, they decided to elope, and they were married in secret. When the king found out, he was outraged. Many of his advisors suggested a severe punishment, but the king was a kind man who loved his family. Still, he couldn’t let the offense go unpunished. He banished the captain of the guard from the kingdom along with his daughter, stripping her of her title of princess. It broke his heart to do so, but a king must do many heartbreaking things at times to keep order in the kingdom. The couple settled down in a small village in the forest, where they were happy together. A few decades later, their daughter was born, and they named her Kenia.

When the king found out that he had a grandchild, he couldn't resist the temptation to meet her. He traveled to the village in secret and was enchanted by the beautiful little elf child. He doted on her, and soon he couldn't resist the love he felt for her.

The king eventually came to realize that he had been wrong to banish his daughter and her husband. He invited them to return to the kingdom and reinstated his daughter's title as princess as well as her husband as captain of the guard, having struggled to find anyone as skilled as him in the time they were banished. From then on, Kenia was known throughout the kingdom as the granddaughter of the king and was loved by most who met her.

As Kenia grew older, she learned the ways of the elves and her father took it upon himself to teach her how to defend herself. From the time she could pick up a bladed weapon and comprehend how to wield it, her father began teaching her how to use it. He also made sure she was skilled in hand-to-hand combat. She also found she loved learning about light magic and seemed to have an affinity for illusions, especially invisibility, as well as defensive light magic. When she wasn’t learning from her father or learning magic from the castle's best magic wielders, she would spend much of her time in the forest, exploring and learning about the world around her. She was always eager to help others and was known for her kind heart and adventurous spirit.

Kenia's parents were proud of their daughter and loved her deeply. They were grateful to the king for allowing them to return to the kingdom and be with their family. Kenia, too, was grateful for the love and acceptance she received from her grandfather and was always there to help him in any way she could.

Kenia grew up to be a beautiful and skilled elf, much like her mother before her. Her father doted on her, but he was also fiercely protective, especially when it came to matters of the heart.

One day, her grandfather introduced her to a young nobleman named Airdan. Kenia fell in love with him immediately. He was charming, funny, and kind, and she felt like she had known him her entire life. Her father and several of her friends, however, were not fond of Airdan. They thought he was two-faced and not right for her. Many of them pleaded with her not to marry him as they just felt like something was off.

Despite their concerns, Kenia married Airdan in a beautiful ceremony in the forest. Her father reluctantly gave his blessing, but he warned her to be careful. Kenia didn't listen. She was deeply in love with Airdan and believed that they would be happy together.

As time went on, Kenia's father's concerns seemed to be justified. Airdan showed a side of himself that Kenia had never seen before. He became distant and cold, and she didn't know what to do. She tried to talk to him about it, but he brushed her off, telling her that everything was fine.

Kenia's friends also noticed a change in Airdan's behavior. They tried to warn her, but she wouldn't listen. She was determined to make the marriage work. There were too many other stresses happening in the world, with fear of the dark elves rising, that Kenia longed for that happiness to grow once more.

A few years later, Kenia gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl which she named Lura and Rhys. They became her world, and she poured all her love and attention into them. Airdan was there, but he seemed distant, almost like he didn't care.

Despite her struggles, Kenia refused to give up on her marriage. She loved Airdan and believed that they could work through their problems. It wasn't until three years later, when Airdan's true colors were revealed, that Kenia finally realized the truth.

Airdan had been manipulating her all along, using her love for him to get what he wanted. Kenia was ready to leave, but it was too late. The dark elves had declared war, her father had left to fight, her grandfather was focused on the war, and her mother had fallen ill. She was alone and Airdan took advantage of this. He kept her and the children locked in the house, little more than slaves to him, as he would have secret meetings with people Kenia could never find out more about. Something was terribly wrong and she tried desperately to leave.

She’d almost accomplished it, managing to escape the house with the children, but she didn’t make it far when Airdan had caught her and he wasn’t alone. He had dark elven soldiers with him, a group of elite assassins sent by the dark elven king. Airdan and several of the dark elves beat Kenia within an inch of her life while the other dark elves restrained her three year old children. She tried desperately to fight back, doing fairly well for a time, but there were too many of them. As she lay there, bloody and reaching for her children, Airdan slaughtered the twins right in front of her to prove his loyalty to the dark elves. Screaming and devastated, he then dragged Kenia back to their house, locking her in before setting it ablaze and leaving her for dead.

The details are still fuzzy to Kenia, but she remembers someone breaking into the house and getting her out before she lost all consciousness. When she awoke, she would find herself in a small hidden cottage being tended to by a kindly woman. It was then she would come to learn that her husband had led the assassins into the kingdom and they had begun hunting and killing all of the light elven royalty. It was believed Kenia was also dead and truly she wished she was.

Once she recovered, Kenia realized it was best to remain dead and changed her name to Aelynthia Eilran, being called Aelyn for short. She also discovered that the home she was recovering in was a secret base of rebel assassins. She’d spend the next 50 years dedicating herself to learning the skills of an assassin. She trained rigorously and eventually would spend the next 50 years making a name for herself as one of the deadliest assassins in Avalia, even earning the nickname of The Scarlet Sword. While taking on many jobs, she also began gathering information on her husband and the dark elves as she was hell bent on vengeance.

Personality:

Older and wiser, Barrock is not the typical aggressive, violent and angry orc that he was born as. Having controlled his anger for the most part, he becomes a rather stoic and silent individual, often not speaking much if not at all in public. Having stripped down a lot of his orcish temper, he is a terse talker at heart. His speech is simple and to the point, not bothering to flavor or draw out his language needlessly, and has quite a distaste for those who do. Barrock is still quite easy to get annoyed and not hard to make him mad, it's just that his desire to bash someone's skull in has been significantly controlled. Despite this, he doesn't actually hold a grudge for long if it's just plain annoyance, often forgetting about it afterwards if he gets a good night sleep or does an activity he enjoys.

Socially-speaking, Barrock is quite introverted, preferring to sit in his lonesome and meditate. If one were to remain and respect his boundary, and ignore his crude attitude, one would be surprised to see a relatively calm and reasonable orc, with no inherent desire for violence nor blood. In fact, he could even be quite a steadfast ally if one does not step on his toes too many times (though he would not admit it). Barrock places a lot of emphasis on courage, discipline, honesty and sincerity, seeing it both as a way to conquer his anger, as well as rising above the backward mentality many of his orc compatriots have. But when pushed enough buttons for too long, he can revert back to the savage brute that he once were, something he desperately wanted to avoid repeating.

While not at all book-educated, Barrock's capability for introspection gives him more edge in the practical. He is quite a cunning foe on the battlefield - calm, not too aggressive, not above using tricks - and can read people's mood to some extent. This allows him to sometimes sense out danger before it manifests itself, having saved him in not few situations. He lacks an innate sense of humour though, but a comically serious orc is a humorous sight in enough itself.

History:

Barrock was born a member of the Dugmaghord Clan, one of the most savage of the orc settlements. He did not remember the last time he saw his mother's face, as he was quickly taken into community child-rearing, growing up with his peers more often. But the worship of war and plunder made even his time with any particular friend quite fleeting. His childhood was spent in the rings learning to fight, and as soon as he was ready, the chieftains plunged him into raids and pillages, one after another. Death was quite common for the orc pups, often dying from this philosophy of training from real experience, something Barrock would later come to despise. Regardless, at the time, he was a model orc: carrying out his chieftain's orders with incredible brutality and savagery, a voluptuous eater, quick to anger and more than eager to settle disputes with an axe blade.

The war that spilled between Malthemoor Kingdom and Avalia was a grand time for Dugmaghord to stuff themselves with more loot and plunders, as armies clashing meant there were more opportunities for the vultures to feast. However, as soon as the war concludes and the dark elves triumphed, their warrior's full alert were on the chaotic horde, having no more enemies to be aware of. Barrock's raiding party was one of the first victims of this. Ambushed and caught in ferocious fighting, the orcs fought with suicidal fervour, but the entire party was either slain or died from exhaustion. Barrock met a twistedly different fate, having his left foot crushed by a mage boulder and was captured instead. Why they decided to keep the orc alive instead of ending him is something he still asked to this day. Maybe they wanted free and effective labour, something hard to come by. Or maybe for these war worshipping monsters, death was too kind of a fate after all they had done. A life of agony in chains would be more suitable.

For years, Barrock raged against his captors, desperately trying to escape, but his simple-minded rage, his previous injury which had left him a permanent limp meant that all his attempts failed, with retributions swift and harsh. After some time, he realized that his anger and rage had not been doing him any favour to his captive. Gradually, he began to mellow out and tolerate his captive's menace, not giving in to their ridicule and mockery. Over time, in the confining solitude, Barrock's temper began to calm. He started observing people more, examining and studying their behavior and culture, hoping to use it against them when the opportunity presents itself.

That arrived during a changing of the guard, a lengthy delay from the into the night shift allowed the orc to break free from his cell without warning, leading to the slaughter of the shift guard and freedom of the other prisoners there. While the prisoners took pleasure in pouring their bottled up fury on the elves, Barrock's time in prison had wisened him enough to not bother with it, instead retrieving some weapons and supplies from the armory before disappearing early into the night, avoiding any punitive expedition sent to subjugate the prisoners.

Barrock had escaped prison, but his time in there had changed him. Now that he had observed and used the information he gathered from the people around him, he unknowingly gained a certain degree of respect for certain cultures and values, having adopted some of them and had found it to be quite enjoyable. He had also grown disdainful of some of his own's, so much so that he chose not to return to the clan that he once called his family, deliberately outcasting himself and wandered the Earth instead as a fugitive, fighting to avoid dark elves retribution. His Dugmaghord origin earned him few friends, the only people willing to accept him would be this rebel group led by the light elves, fighting to free Avalia from Malthemoor's tyrannic grip.
