Jacque stared down at Becca's body with interest, the corners of his mouth curved upward ever so slightly. "How unfortunate, the poor child's heart was just too weak..." Jacque said, feigning sympathy better than even the highest calibre of actor. The vampire strode over to Becca's body and grabbed her by the throat, "Still, it would be terrible to leave her here, and I am rather parched. Pardon me while I remove this from the room." Jacque said before turning on his heel and existing the room. The vampire carried his meal a few meters away from the door, then wasted no time plunging his teeth into her throat and draining the life giving nectar from her body.

Kijani winced as Warden started tearing pages from a book. "Easy there, Warden. Some of these books can be antiques. Very valuable antiques." She picked up several of the sheets of paper, but could tell immediately by the feel that they were synthetic paper. That meant they were basically worthless. It was true paper that was worth something- she had several genuine artifact books from centuries ago and light years away, all neatly stored in a specialized cabinet in one of her hideouts. The galactic police had raided one of her places, but they hadn't gotten her favorite. She had well furnished hidey holes all over the place, and she'd never expected to get anywhere near her own execution. "Nevermind. These are cheap imitations." She smiled, and tore a page in half herself. "Destroy away, little one."

She watched someone walk out with the young woman's suddenly dear body. "Hm... good to be rid of dead weight." She joined Marcus, examining him with a look of interest. "You must forgive me. I haven't had access to my dossiers in some time- do tell me what you do."

She had largely ignored Kijani's comments when she first spoke of valuable antiques, it was as if it was the rambling of an adult trying to tell her to not have fun and follow the norms. Warden was different in that sense. She always wanted to be a child-- And with her mysterious infection she was able to do so. Practically immortal. She would remain at that size. Age would not kill her, unless there was truly a thing stuck through her heart and she dies then. The face of a terrified child had won her many getaways from a fatal outcome and she also uses it to her own advantage. The moment they began to trust her, she would ask requests and if need be, kill them when its required.

Her first count of genocide... She remembered a prideful young african-american who took her in as her own daughter. During the apartheid years of Africa, she witnessed her father being poorly treated just like dirt. Everyday he would tell her the painful moments where he was despised and discriminated against, how he hated the white people with a passion. Even though Warden was a white person, she offered him a favour. "Do you want to make them go 'poof', daddy?" She remembered. His exact response was;

"Wouldn't it be nice." From that moment forth, Warden disappeared from the home. After several days of her disappearance, the news began to widely-spread information about a series of murders and slaughtering aimed particularly towards the white superiority in Africa. They also reported pitch-black metal alloys being stuck directly through their chests or head along the tracks. A week later, an entire village was wiped of white-skinned individuals. Even women and children became targets of the murders. The army escalates this issue to attempted genocide and quickly set surveillance cameras around the country and caught glimpses of a small, cloaked child behind a trail of dead white people. Her stepfather connected the dots after the picture's release.

When she finally did return, there was only a look of terror and disgust in the father's eyes. He felt threatened and scared-- If the people knew that he was holding her in he would definitely be executed for the same crimes that Warden had committed. So he pretended... Until one day he brought her in to the police. When she saw the office of the police, she looked at her father's eyes filled with frustration. Her emotions were so strong that a stream of her alloy formed a sharp blade and struck through his throat as she escaped from the vehicle, disappearing from the face of Africa and the genocide crimes left unsolved.

She sighed angrily. It was a bad turn of events but she couldn't careless anymore. That was many many years ago and it had no weight on her. She had gone through a lot of books that were now piles of shredded paper before she took the final one and began ripping-- Until she saw a slipped, slightly-torned up letter obvious enough for somebody to pick up and realise it was a hidden message. But, when she picked it off the shelf, everything looked like normal. She took the letter and ripped the rest of the book, before making herself some paper snow and took the letter by her sleeves and read them. "Aunt Jani~! Somebody's been a naughty boy!" She waved the paper towards her and held it up.

The letter read;

"The mission remains successful. Nobody had realised that Rob had corrupted the AI's core. It also seems like the AI didn't pick up on the change. That means the entire operation would proceed smoothly according to plan... Let's cross our fingers, and hope that nobody finds out. Otherwise, we've lost our chances at getting out of this alive. Boss's got some good money on the cargo..."

Mistress Dizzy said she watched someone walk out with the young woman's suddenly dear body. "Hm... good to be rid of dead weight." She joined Marcus, examining him with a look of interest. "You must forgive me. I haven't had access to my dossiers in some time- do tell me what you do."

Marcus was indifferent to Jacque taking Becca's body away as he saw from watching him speak he was a vampire. 'Watch out for him.' He though, and decided that searching for Jester with him would prove to be more detrimental than previously thought. He was then joined by Kijani and she asked about what he did in order to get here. "Oh, well I work in the knife department." He said as he watched Jason retrieve the schematics of the ship. "I had some... disagreements with people, and paid to, um" Marcus was trying his best to not use his exact charges. "Clear the way fot other. Then they said that I couldn't have a protégé for my business." He smiled a little before adding. "I was able to avoid this particular transport because the doc said I was... how did he term it, Clinically insane." Marcus knocked on the frame on the open bridge door and yelled out to Jacque. "Areyou quite done I want to go and kill the half wit on the intercom." He turned back to Kijani. "What about you, what did you do and where did you get that nice glove? It really brings out your eyes." Marcus thought, even though they were stuck here, why not try.

Kijani chuckled, obviously not bothered by his flirtation. "Why, thank you. As for what I did, well... that all depends on who you ask." Her smile became somehow more dangerous. "Some say I'm behind dozens of takeovers in the Terran financial district. Others say I'm being the Soulsucker computer virus- you know, the one that gathers people's personal data? The one they never found the cause for?" There was a glitter in her golden eyes, something fierce and leonine. "More people still say I toppled the Eclipse corporation with nothing but a data stick and a power generator." She locked eyes with him then, her chin lifted ever so slightly. "Of course, these are all false. Media sensationalism and rumor, all of it. They always miss the true beauty in the details." Examining her vine gloved hand, she wiggled her fingers in a sweet wave, a few leaves shooting off and growing, waving in the air. "As for this, well... I was born with it."

"You needn't yell out, young man. Although I do share your ideals towards the man on the intercom, i'm more than capable of hearing you speak in a normal manner from such a small distance. Not to mention rushing a man while he's eating is incredibly rude." Jacque said with mild annoyance as he reappeared in the door way shortly after Marcus turned to interact with Kijani. The vampire loomed over Marcus, sporting no signs of the deed he'd just committed save for a slight red tint on his lips and the slight copper-like scent in his breath. "Now then, how should we go about finding the fool on the intercom? I stated earlier that I would varnish the floors with his brains, and that is exactly what I intend to do." Jacque said, speaking of his intentions casually, as though the act of murder were nothing more than a small chore to be dealt with at the earliest sign of convenience. Becca's body meanwhile lay a few meters outside of the doorway, her now extremely pale body lying face up with her arms folded over her chest. Rather than two puncture wounds, the young woman's throat sported six on both sides of her neck, an indication to whomever might later examine her that Jacque's teeth were more akin to a shark's than the vampires of lore.

"Good, I suggest that we... split up then." He looked at the small group of only five before announcing. "Warden, Kijani and I will search the starboard side. While Jason and... yourself." He gestured to Jacque. "Can search the Port side." He turned to Kijani who was trying to hand him something, and read over it quickly before adding. "Don't kill each other." He thought the note was interesting, but not Something that he wanted to share. "We will meet on C Deck outside the armory where through Jason or Warden." He gave the little girl a pat. "We will requisition some supplies. Any objections?"

Jason took a good long look at the ship's schematics, committing them to memory before standing up and looking around the bridge at anything he could use. He found a pad and, after connecting it to the captain's console, decided to take it along with him. He looked at Marcus as he said what they should do and crossed his arms. He wasn't comfortable taking orders from someone else, but figured it was better to play it safe for now and not make any enemies. "I would be more comfortable having a weapon or two on hand." He said, his gaze lingering on each of them before he looked at Marcus again. "You all seem to have... abilities, to help in a fight. Not me, though." He said with a nod.

"Let's go get some food!" She cheerily shouted with a slight jump. She also heard that she would be going with Kijani, that made her feel even more excited. When she heard that Jason wanted a weapon, she didn't hesitate to just walk up to him and formed with her powers a small gladius. "Here daddy!" She handed her sleeved hand to Jason, before running back to Kijani.

"I suppose that would work. If any of you should run across this buffoon before I do however...." Jacque trailed off and thinly smiled as he titled down his glasses, "Leave him alive for me. I want to teach him a lesson on wasting other's time with such childish games.". Jacque's words dripped with malice which was somehow made even more sinister sinister by his calm, almost amiable expression and glinting red eyes. The murderer readjusted his glasses and overlapped his hands over the top of his cane, he made note of Warden's abilities and mentally checked her off as something to be slightly wary off despite her innocent appearance, "Now then, I believe you said my partner would be Jason...", Jacque turned to Jason, "Well then Jason, now they you're sufficiently armed, could we perhaps see to beginning our man hunt?".

Jason looked at Warden as she walked up to him, smiling as she presented him with the sword. He took it from her and nodded, placing his hand on her head and petting her. "Thanks a lot, Warden, this will do nicely." He said with a nod before looking at Jacque. "Yeah, let's go." He said, waving his free hand at the others while heading for the exit. He walked in front, examining the gladius as he walked and the material it was made off. "This is so interesting... I wish I had my equipment, see what can be done with this material."

Kijani hid an amused chuckle as Warden armed Jason. She wondered if Warden could produce a blade for her as well. Her preferred weapon was locked away in one of her many safehouses, and she missed the feel of the steel in her hand. Perhaps later, though- it may not be a smart idea to display her full capabilities in such a situation. "Shall we?" She smiled at her two traveling companions, before starting to walk in the starboard direction. "You know, Warden, I agree with you. I could definitely use a nice meal." Though she was certain there would be nothing even close to organic food on this ship. It would be all the cloned or freeze dried garbage they fed military now. Useful to make one full, but impossible to enjoy. Despite being held in stasis for so long and not needing to eat, something internal and primal in her wanted something to chew, something to be in her stomach.

Falling into step next to Kijani, Marcus thought about getting some food as well. "If we can find the Captains Quarters we may be able to find something better then freeze dried protein and synthetic water." Marcus remarked as the walked through the halls looling for Jester. He also was dwelling on the note they had found and, once out of ear shot of the others, asked. "How long do you think we have?" Marcus wasn't worried about these mercs he just had no intention of being sold like merchandise for a cause the he couldn't care less about.

Jacque took note of Jason's growing interest towards the metal that his weapon was comprised of and cleared his throat, "Probably best if you remained ignorant of that material's true potential. Don't take this the wrong way young man, but when you humans find something novel or interesting, you always seem to loop back into how to kill your fellow man with it. And you'll find the strangest or pettiest reasons to try it out." he said as he followed his comrade of of the room and down the hall, pausing for a moment to look down at Becca's body before speaking once more, "Honestly its somewhat repulsive, i've never seen a species that down right cherishes the slaying of enemies as much as your kind. Well, perhaps besides the water buffalo of earth's african plains, but everything else generally kills to live, not just to do it.".

So the three took off, towards the direction of the starboard where they tried to look for extra supplies and perhaps conventional weapons that could help them survive a derelict prisoner ship. "You know, Warden, I agree with you. I could definitely use a nice meal." Warden continued to walk beside Kijani, her loose sleeves continually dragging across the floor, sweeping it as she walked. The corridors were still well-lit, and she was glad that it was. She could see where she was going, and she could still Kijani. That's all that mattered. A sense of direction.

"I want pudding! They're so nice and delicious!" Despite the impossibility of finding processed foods, she remained quite the optimist. "Or ice cream! Sausage! Maybe nuts..." She looked around inside the empty glass of the ship, nothing. There was nobody. Lights remained on but no other lives were inside of it. It was spooky. A room that seemed to belong to a bookworm had a stack of books on top of the desk and one of them open. The bench light remained on, lighting the still and frozen book inside. Now, they were completely isolated. Kijani, Marcus and Warden were together away from Jason and Jacque as they searched for supplies. Marcus had a look in his eyes before asking Kijani.

"How long do you think we have?" The question confused Warden. Was somebody timing them? If so, who?

"Why?" She asked him, with the sound of an annoying kid continually asking the why question.

Jason shrugged at Jacque's comments, swinging the sword ahead of himself as he walked, as if checking the balance. It was surprisingly light for its size, yet very sturdy. He wondered if maybe it was a titanium alloy, before his train of thought shifted to the question of how Warden was able to manipulate it. He looked back at Jacque as they kept walking. "Ours is a race of warriors, Jacque. We grow complacent and lazy in times of peace, so we need war every now and then to advance ourselves." He said, spinning the blade on his hand. He seemed to be pretty skilled with it, despite not looking like a guy that could pass for a soldier or an athlete. "It's how we've achieved our current tech level and how we'll keep advancing it. Besides... I'm sure you've noticed, but we humans are very squishy, individually. As a race, though... you just don't mess with a population with centuries of knowledge on how to best kill things."

Kijani frowned, thinking about that as they walked. "It's hard to say, really. I mean, it would help if we had some idea of our location." She twisted a dreadlock around her finger, an idle habit when she was deep in thought. "Even if they come for us, they'll be hard pressed to capture me again." Looking down to Warden, she smiled and decided to distract her. "Warden, I also like ice cream. What's your favorite flavor? I have a fondness for dark chocolate chip, myself."

Marcus nodded Kijani's point that they had no clue where the were or how long ago the ships crew left. "I don't think they want to imprison us." He said in reply when she remarked about being captured. "They are mercs... they will wanr to use us." He said. As Kijani talked to Warden about food Marcus thought back to one of the many times he worked with a group of mercenaries.

~~~~~
"Okay, Hatter, this is as far as we can get you." A man sitting in the passenger seat of a civilian vehicle said. The car came to an easy stop just before a bend in the road that lead to a large estate. "You are on your own from here." Marcus' door opened automatically and he stepped out of the car into the night air. As his door closed the car almost spun in place as it made a U-turn and hovered away down the forest road. Marcus waited until the car was out of site before walking up into the forest to start his trek.
After a few minutes of hiking through the fake forest, in the distance he could see a yellow sign posted on a tree. 'Wow' he thought to himself. 'This guy must really miss the old world.' He continued hiking, but with more caution, looking for any signs of security. Much to his pleasure and surprise there was none until he reached the fence around the estate. It was an electric fence and on the other side he could count about four guards, three patrolling and one at a static post. From the intel he had received there should be twelve guards, which meant that there were most likely two units outside and one inside. "This will be fun." He whispered.
~~~~~

That was back when he didn't realize that he was being used as a tool rather than partner. Marcus didn't like that much, being a peace of equipment for someone else to use. Just because he was... different people thought they could do what ever to him, and those that did learned quick that he could be a right nasty person.

After looking around, he noticed that there aren't any guards. Ralof smiled. This could be his chance to escape! He kicked through a wall, which made a lot of noise. As he walked out of his cell, he saw a computer-thingy. Ralof tried to turn it on, but out of frustration he smashed it to pieces. That wasn't very smart, because it triggered a rather loud alarm.
