[Alarm systems]
As the sirens wailed a message came through saying: "Systems console damaged!" Which was shortly followed by an electronic stun turret dropping from the ceiling, and shooting at Ralof. "B deck auto retaliation activated."

Ralof runs away from it, but he gets hit in his foot. Ralof falls to the ground, leaving a damaged floor behind. The Hulk tries to stand up, but it's hard because of his feet. He slowly walks away.

Kijani scowled at the thought of being used. She'd had plenty of that in her life, and it had led to her rise to power in the galaxy. One incident had changed her life, made her realize what the world was. It made her know, without a shadow of a doubt, that some people would do absolutely anything to get what they wanted.

"No one uses me. No one." Her voice was cold and flat, as she looked back at Marcus. "Never again." A toothy smile made her yellow eyes seem somehow manic. "I say we take it to these mercs when they arrive. Let them know they won't be using us for anything but tickets to an early grave."

The stun turret made Ralof puke flames. He flew backwards against a wall. This caused the ceiling to collapse. The flames he puked set a part of the ship on fire. All this made Ralof angrier.

Jason shrugged at Jacque's comments, swinging the sword ahead of himself as he walked, as if checking the balance. It was surprisingly light for its size, yet very sturdy. He wondered if maybe it was a titanium alloy, before his train of thought shifted to the question of how Warden was able to manipulate it. He looked back at Jacque as they kept walking. "Ours is a race of warriors, Jacque. We grow complacent and lazy in times of peace, so we need war every now and then to advance ourselves." He said, spinning the blade on his hand. He seemed to be pretty skilled with it, despite not looking like a guy that could pass for a soldier or an athlete. "It's how we've achieved our current tech level and how we'll keep advancing it. Besides... I'm sure you've noticed, but we humans are very squishy, individually. As a race, though... you just don't mess with a population with centuries of knowledge on how to best kill things."

Jacque's mouth twitched ever so slightly as he contemplated whether to laugh or grimace,"Young Jason, i've studied war, i've SEEN war, what you humans do cannot be called war, it can only be called destruction." Jacque said calmly as he lifted his cane and examined it. "You see, my people never had such troubles, likely because we viewed combat to be unsavory. Not to say we were above it, it was just when we fought, it was usually when some of our kind decided to try to reveal themselves to the world, or there a clash among houses over how your species was to be dealt with. You humans might have been our primary food source, but lets be honest, you were a danger not only to yourselves, but to other species as well. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times some houses have tried to organize a means to either enslave you all, or conduct a mass culling simply because we were afraid that the next war your kind fought would end the planet.".

Jacque lowered the cane and continued walking alongside Jason, "When my people finally DID reveal themselves to the humans, you know what their first response was? To try to wipe us out entirely. It was as though their fragile minds couldn't handle not being at the top of the foodchain. The calls for war were eventually quelled, but it helped us realize something; your species is literally incapable of going more than a few decade without finding a new battlefield. If they cannot find one single enemy, then they make one of their neighbors. They cannibalize each other while at the same time desperately searching for something different from them to fight instead. Your race isn't one of warriors...it's a race of monsters.".

Jacque felt as though he was beginning to talk a bit to much and closed his mouth, though there wasn't much time for the silence to become awkward as alarms suddenly began to blare throughout the ship, eliciting a groan from Jacque, "What now?".

"My thoughts exactly." Maecus replied, giving a dark grin back to Kijani. "Once we find the armory we should have all we need to-" Marcus was cut off by a loud thud and crash coming from up ahead of the group. "That was not Jason and Jacque, I can tell you for sure." He said quick and quiet assuming a crouched stance as he ducked into a doorway motioning for Kijani and Warden to take cover as well. "What ever it is, it's large and strong. "

"Stupid, too, don't forget that." Kijani found a good vantage point on the other side of the doorway, and stood on the balls of her feet, silently bouncing in place. The plant wound around her hand grew thicker, and thorns began bursting from the green vines. Several of the thorns started to drip with eerie yellow liquid. She hoped Warden had found a safe place to hide.

Ralof is a bit dizzy. He stands up, slowly. It looks like he's drunk. Suddenly, he hears a crack from beneath. After two seconds, he fell through the floor.

"Big and stupid!" She repeated both Marcus and Kijani to the rowdy sound metal. They approached the doorway and the moment Marcus could see it, he crouched and blended in with Aunt Kijani skipping to the other side. Warden crept up behind Marcus and tried to pop her head over to see what was going on. Wild plants and vines took over the other side of the room and she saw the outline of a big man in the shadow suddenly crashing down into the floor beneath, disfiguring it. She scowled. "Aww! I want to see big and stupid man!" She cried a little, before looking at Kijani. "Can I go see him?!"

Marcus looked around the corner with Warden to find a lagre hole in the floor and part of the hall on fire. He looked back at Kijani who had made her plant glove into a nasty looking weapon. "I am relieved to say what ever it was is now on the floor below us, but that also means we have no clue where it could be headed." He slowly returned to a normal stance and replied to Warden. "You can if you want, but it may be something that is best left alone. As with most things that can breath fire." He pointed at the flames that were beig extingished by automated spray hoses. "Shall we mobe on?"

Ralof stands up. He walks, but he steps on a small generator which explodes.

Ralof finds himself in his room. What the heck happened?

Kijani frowned slightly, and held her hand to her chest. The vines steadily crept around her body, until they circled her neck like a green necklace. A wickedly thorny green necklace that was dripping tiny droplets of yellow liquid onto the metal floor. "Ugh. I hate fire." She flexed her now free hand, and cracked her knuckles delicately. "Let's go before something else happens..." Her stomach rumbled, and she idly rubbed it with one hand.

"I miss my home. I had a garden, and I knew a man who raised chickens from real-hatched eggs." She smiled in a distant way. "Have you ever had real chicken? It's quite an experience."

Emma blinked her eyes a few times. A bright white light could means she was dead. She touched a hand to her face and sighed quietly, she still felt nothing. Probably not dead then. The room came into focus, she was in her cell. However the lack of people in the room meant that there was probably some kind of accident. She climbed out of the bed, still nothing. It was odd but she wasn't about to go and question a gift. She began to wander through the ship, hopefully it was at hospitable conditions because she had no way of telling if it was not.

"Big stupid man too stupid! I'm not scared." She rushes forward to look underneath at the hole where fire began to set themselves ablaze and Warden threw herself back onto the floor from the heat, feeling a little surprised at the presence of fire that she didn't expect. "Hot hot hot!" She repeated, before shaking her head. "Big stupid man went boom!" She opened her arms to express what she meant by 'boom' before rolling on the floor laughing.

The others who were behind her approached forward, perhaps wanting to go on and search for more supplies. She got onto her small feet and ran back to Kijani. "Real chicken? What is the difference?" She asked her, confused at what she meant. She noticed the necklace around Kijani's neck and eyed it herself. Intricate, thorny necklace that looked uninteristing at first. Yet, after several glances... She began to become interested to see the yellow drops drip from the thorns. "What's that?"

Marcus watched as Kijani's glove became a necklace still having the yellow droplets of what he presumed to be a poison or venom. "The necklace really brings out your eyes." He said smoothly as she walked by. Then she asked about real food after making mention of a garden she used to have. "I've had it a lot, and a hand full of times I had steak... that was between being in prison though. I worked for a guy who paid me half in credits and the other half he made sure I got high end synth food and real chicken in prison. That only last for about two years."

A fleet of three small transport vessels speedily make there way through the vast open expanse of space headed for a one SS Serendipity. On board two are a bunch of mercs ready to take captive anyone on the ship. The lead ship carried three men of interest; two high ranking resistance officers and the leader of the mercenaries they were using.
"How much longer?" One of the resistance officers asked impatiently. He was nervous as well, but rather not show it.
"Not much longer, your patience is appreciated but you must understand that these things take time wih what little recourses you gave us." The mercenary leader said calmly with an eerie tone. "Soon you will have the merchandise you want and we will have the money we want."

Kijani smiled at Marcus' compliment, and looked to Warden. "It's poison, dear. Makes the muscles lock up, but does not kill. Sometimes a live hostage is more use than a dead enemy." Cracking her knuckles, she continued to explain. "Well, Warden, there was a time when food came from animals and plants, instead of chemical factories. It had to be grown from dirt, in the ground! I know it sounds odd, but in the past, there was health in the soil, enough to make plants grow high, like the highest of buildings!" She raised her arms up, obviously getting into the story-telling.

"The animals would be fed the plants, and the animals would be killed to make food for the people. But then there were too many people, and too few animals. When fully synthetic foods became cost effective, the majority of the Earth and colonies switched to that. True-grown food became a luxury. It is wonderful. One day, perhaps, I will let you have a tasty dinner. A sandwich of real chicken or ham, or beef, and... I think ice cream made from a real, living cow's milk." Her gaze turned, to eye Marcus with interest. "And perhaps for us, a nice thick steak, vegetables, and a glass of amazing, precolonial wine... I have a bottle stored away for a special ocassion. Perhaps... we could make one."

Emma continued walking through the ship, all the hallways looked the same. She wasn't sure where she was going or what she was going to do. At the moment she just wanted to enjoy her freedom. Then she heard footsteps, heavy uneven ones. Emma froze and began to search for a place to hide, she needed to be prepared if it was a guard.

Ralof continued to walk for a few seconds. The world is getting blurrier and he is too tired. Ralof sits against the wall to rest.

Marcus smirked at the thought of having a high end dinner with Kijani and may have day dreamed more about it, but something down the corridor caught his attention. A large door, closed, with a sign reading "Armory". He stopped once the reached the door. "Here we are! All we need is-" Marcus was cut off by the familiar sound of heavy foot fall followed by a thud. "I thought this was a prison transfer not an exotic animal freighting service." He whispered before turning to Warden. "Sweet heart can you get this door open like with the control room, but quietly?" Marcus said softly. He didn't know what was near but he wanted to make sure they coyld kill if they needed to.
