Lazarus

First of all. He was taken a back by this woman. He had never seen her before. "My past does not trouble me." Lie number 1. "And if it did, I wouldn't want to change it." Lie number 2. "There has to be some catch anyway." He entertained the thought of finally being able to let go of zeref.

Sasha looked up as Mayt approached, and smiled brightly, which faded as he asked about Edolas, mentioning Wes. She hesitated. While Wes had left the guild, they had done a lot and tried hard to get him back. Did they owe him any loyalty, when he hadn't given them any? She didn't know. Wes wasn't the same as he had been, before being transported to Edolas. What if he merely wanted help to find this bad guy to join him? He hadn't shown any qualms about helping the Edolasians from getting here.

She sighed, "that depends. There was a few of them there, and as I recall, Wes wasn't exactly on our side in Edolas. And hasn't really been since returning here. But I suppose there is something to be said about loyalty. Even if he isn't apart of the guild anymore. We need more to go on then that. As I recall, shutter Was released by chance, from the prison he was in. That led those there to Edolas she said, thinking in it, trying to figure it out, having not been at the council grounds when that had happened.

gabriel
@t2wave
Gabriel listened to Ariel, and hesitated. "of course the games out everyone on edge. Everyone's been on edge for a hundred years. This is...like holding your breath. What happens here, how it's portrayed, if nothing seriously bad happens like before, like 100 years ago...it shows what magic is, what we stand for. It shows that magic is inherently good, and that its necessary for...life to be full. That's why the magic council was unvailed here. It's...a sign of hope. When it's over, we can let our breath go and...maybe finally move on" he said, stopping every few sentences to figure out what he was actually trying to say. His expression turned sad, "and no one seems to understand that"

He was making this just a continued argument on what he had been trying to say before with argus, and he winced. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be trying to make an argument. You probably don't want to listen to my rambles" no one ever seemed to want to, so he didn't know why he tried.

"I'm probably just bringing you down. I'm sorry"

penny
@oblivion666
Penny gave a shrug, "well, sometimes just talking makes things easier. You don't have to. But I can tell you that it will just fester and make things worse." she said, "but I'll leave you be" she gave Gamble a smile, turning to go

@Caits
Listening to Gabriel quietly she wondered about the tone, but could tell that there was passion behind the words. To be honest she really hadn't given it much thought. Most of her life she lived without magic, even if her father had been a mage since her birth. Her thought was interrupted when Gabriel apologized. "I never thought about it like that. I'll be honest my life has been crazy since I suddenly started being able to use magic." Just for good measure she tried to use some magic but got nothing. "Which doesn't seem to be working right now. But maybe that's for the better while I'm here."

Getting back to her previous thought it did make a lot more sense that everyone was so worried. It had been so long that this really was a huge deal. If things went well then it could be the start of a new age of magic. "You really don't have to apologize. You've given this a lot more thought than I have. And I can tell that it means a lot to you. I probably should try to keep up more with the whole magic world now that I'm in a guild." She really was out of the loop.

Karn just smirked at Trinity, chewing the piece of egg in her mouth before swallowing, forking some hashbrown. "Awe Amati, and I thought it was a Hashing joke. Guess I better butter you up." the blonde grinned as she ate some hashbrown and spread some butter over a waffle. Listening to more internal groans from the voices within her mind. Must be bad if her hallucinations are not enjoying it.

"Oh for the love of Gods please stop! Go back to moping! Did she always do this?" Pen groaned.

"When she was bored or wanted a distraction. Or piss someone off. We just let her cause it was the few times she had fun." the mental Trinity mumbled with a hand over her face.

However, the moment Mayt walked in, Karn's emerald gaze narrowed in a glare as he wandered over. Great. Another person she had no liking to see at the moment. One had already forced herself into Karn's presence and soured her mood with baseless words. This one she barely had any tolerance for. It made her appetite disappear and she just shifted and reached into her ragged pockets. Pulling out a silken bag full of currency of this world and plopped it on the table.

"I'm going back to the stadium. Thanks for the meal." Karn said, voice back to its calm monotoned, though slightly colder. Standing up, and heading straight out of the building. Not looking at any of this world's Phoenix Wingers. The sour mood she had tried to distract herself from with logic and research, to making bad jokes, had returned. Great.

Jack chuckled and continued walking, glancing over his shoulder at the new member of his guild. "Ah, but that's the fun part. I get to make you guess, a fun way to join the guild. Here's a hint, it can consume all it see's wi-" As he's about to give his riddle, Jarvis' voice sounds from his pocket and he sighs. Fishing it out, he responds. "What do you need Jarvis?"

Damian Gerard and James Hunt|Ruins of a church

As Damian got the last of the surrounding Dark Guild members rounded up, the Rune Knights and medics arrived, the latter taking Jane away on a stretcher as the former gathered up the captured members, which seemed to be a rather large number when Damian looked, and then he approached the two as James spoke. "No, unfortunately. She's got a number of broken bones and internal bleeding that I was too drained to do more than stabilize at this point. If I hadn't been waylaid by that Dark Paladin-" Damian cuts him off, patting his back.

"You did what you could, circumstances considered. Let's just head back to the Stadium and hope Master Jamie won't skin us." James nods and Damian leads the way back towards the Stadium. As they walk, they pass a restaurant as Karn comes out and Damian facepalms. "I need to go congratulate the goof ball on his win yesterday. Go ahead, I'll catch up." James nods and leads Adamine towards the Stadium, asking if she was new to the guild, as Damian approaches Karn. "Hey Karn! Good win yesterday!" He slapped his guildmate's back, unaware that the mind in control wasn't who he thought it was.

"Again, I'm aware that all of this is sudden. But as I previously said, the treatment has not been perfected. Most of the previous participates showed no signs of change after the experimental treatment. The few that did feel the effects of the treatment have reported that not only did their intended memory get removed, but other pieces of memories were also forgotten. But finally, I believe I perfected the treatment to work as intended. The only catch is the risk previously mentioned if you were to accept the treatment. That and you're the closet to a best candidate that I know. If I can't find someone who can try treatment by the end of today, then the organization that I work for will have to close this project. There is still time to think about it, but please decide soon. I'll be in the park near the stadium, waiting for your decision. Once it's night and we haven't met again, I'll assume that you declined the offer. Karin left her seat, but before leaving she thanked him for the time to talk and began her walk towards the park, waiting for Lazarus's decision.

He did look up when approached by Nero. "Oh... Mr. Genie. Yeah, how have you been?" He folded his arms grinning. "I am in the games for dragon fang yes." Although he had only won his team 10 points out of a possible 20. "Dragon fang are going to win this... I can feel it!" He pumped his fist.

Lazarus

He almost called out as she left. "Wai.." He stop himself, and brought his outstretched arm down. He was torn inside his head. Master Jamie told him to live with everything. What was done was done. But... he had the opportunity of a lifetime to erase everything.

“My name is Janna, Janna Faras. Nice to meet you, good sir! A freelance mage and a cook extraordinaire!” Janna presented herself with dramatic courtesy and a huge grin on her face. She liked the guy… though probably he was extremely dangerous, judging by the reaction of the people with her. She just gave Angela a comforting pat on the back, and took her hand, to calm the girl down.” I see, so that’s the game you two are playing?” She then added, throwing the newly arrived man and Anya a judging look.” Well have a fun time doing that then~ Everybody must have a game or two in their life to keep amusement up.”

“Well…” She began replying to Anya, but threw a quick look towards the arena.” Truth is that I was just saying a very water related pun when that incident happened…” Janna stated and made a grimace before suddenly sneezing…” Bloody hell… I’m going to get sick again for this… anyway, I was saying a water related pun, so I kind of feel the urge to beat the hell out of those people that got us wet… preferably with a bat… yeah…”

“Well… I agree with all of you about the contestants being strong and all…” Janna stated, looking down at the arena.” Give me a few hours of preparation and I will be teaching them a few things about being careful where they aim their magics… hmmm I might have to join a guild next year just so I can take part of the fights~ after I open a restaurant that is.”

Marlene Evangeline

Even as the devastating beam of red and black energy approaches Marlene, she did not shred a single sweat of regret. She was going to take this bitch down, even if it kills her in the process. She quickly jumps over the beam and lands, continuing to give pace. Sure it destroyed the darts, but what did it matter? It then appears as Argus wanted to fight in a classic sword duel. Knowing that his sword was no ordinary one, she creates a sword of her own, not with regular quartz, but with the gemstone opal instead. Opal was a pretty strong and durable stone, which is able to withstand the blows of dark-infected weaponary and attacks.

"Crystal Make: Sword of Opal!"

She then prepares her sword in an attack stance as she points it towards Argus. At that point, Jane and Riona finally came on scene, only to be standed down by Marlene's opponent.

"Jane, this is between her and me, and since she doesn't seem like the type to give up easy, don't interfere. I want to end this here and now so I don't have to deal with her crazy ass again."

"That bitch caused me and my friends trouble yesterday, must I not forget she also stripped me and Mr. Oni too!" Marlene responds angrily, "I'm just returning to give him the punishment he fucking deserves!"

"No matter how fine of an ass it is. Do you really think you can handle this, Glasses? Cause I don't think you're ready for what you've just signed up for."

Marlene's anger begins to slowly rise, her eyes already glowing furiously green with determination.

”Avast, ya skirt wearin' gut ache! Belay that nonsense!” Jane would bellow.

Yet the words would have no impression on Marlene.

"On the contrary..." the Crystal Maiden growls at Argus, "It is YOU who has signed your death wish!"

She then burrows her sword into the ground, and swipes it towards Argus, unleashing a fast beam of energy towards the opponent. And even if he were to block it, this would give Marlene enough time to lunge at her opponent, perhaps locking swords in the process...

ENMA and DALTON

Now that Marlene had left, it was only the archer, oni, and Exceed left in an uncomfortable silence. He was only joking before, but did Marlene actually have a thing for Nolan? Poor girl, he'll never be able to love her due to his fear though he wouldn't say that in front of Samir since she would most likely give him a firm kick in the nuts and he needed those. Also she doesn't like him enough as it is and he didn't need to say anything that will offer him a few arrows in his chest. He should probably shift it to some other topic. "So...Are you new to Phoenix Wing or something? Nolan never mentioned someone like you before. The name's Enma, mage of Frenzy Plant and friend of Nolan. Yours?"

"Ya just tryin' to find a chance to hit on her aren't ya?" Dalton stated, hoping to ruin any chance for Enma to get any leeway that the oni would get from Samir. Enma gave him a stern glare while the Exceed just whistled innocently with his hands in his pockets. The Exceed was pushing his luck. If she wasn't here, Enma would've punt him out of the stadium.

@Lmpkio
NOLAN

Nolan walked around with his pipe in his mouth, puffing rings from his lips. Right now he just wanted to relax and stroll around the stadium before heading back to Phoenix Wing's stand when the fights begin. After the day he had yesterday he needed some time to be alone. As serene and calm he felt right now, it disappeared in an instant as his women instincts kicked in. He had somehow wandered within the range of sight of Sayatachi, a women with more colors than a damn rainbow. Instantly he turned on his heel and tried to get away from her before he got into any sort of situation from the over the top woman. He figured out that women were starting to desire him and by god he was trying to stay away from any of them if they weren't people he knew.

@Caits
FERRIS

He smiled tiredly at Jess and chuckled. "Yeah, I'm a bit tired thanks to you. I don't know what we did last night, but whatever it was, it was intense." Ferris gave her a playful wink and leaned forward to the microphone. "We're going to be resuming to the fights very soon. As it is now it's anyone game to win! Will Frenzy Plant follow up with a great win today? Will Tough Love turn this whole thing around? Will Iron Enigma and Dragon Fang catch up? Hold on to your seats folks because we're going to have even crazier matches than yesterday!" The model leaned back in his seat and yawned, laying his head on Jess' shoulder with a playful grin.

@Zarkun

Karn gave a soft sigh as she was rid of inconvenient presence for a moment but perked a bit as this bodies sensitive ears caught on to a couple of familiar voices. Emerald eyes glancing toward the direction, she tore them away just as quickly as she realized who they were. Damian and James. How fitting this world has them together as well. Smash the hammer into her face more why don't you fate?

She couldn't look toward James so much and was slightly glad he left. She rather not have her unstable mind dig up her James from the grave.

Damian was the one to come over and slapped her on the back, making her upper body slightly thrust foreword but managed to catch herself. This body may be male, but this world's Karn was just as small as her. And was quite the short stuff compared to boys like Damian and James. If this Damian was like hers, he was a sort of swordsman, and his arms were pretty well developed. By what she felt, it seemed this one wasn't much of a slouch physically at least.

By bits of memory, this Karn had a memory of Damian killing people. And something about a Dragon. She despised the thought of a Phoenix Wing condoning killing. She supposed she shouldn't quite care as much in this case since it was in this world on their terms. They were different Guild's, despite the same name and mark. It did irritate her with Sasha's world's since the actions given aren't shown. Making it feel like she was just being lied to.

Seemed Damian was congratulating this Karn's victory yesterday. Too bad his Karn wasn't awake. She wished he bloody would.

"Yeah. Thanks." Karn glanced at him. Her Damian left some time ago after James died. In a way. She had lost both Guild Members. Another failure to add to the list she supposed.

"What have you been up to?" she asked, still feeling rain splash against her. She wondered how resilient this body was against cold, especially in these ragged clothes.

Apparently, this Damian and Penny were in a sort of relationship. Karn sorta wanted to mess with him with her earlier action toward his girlfriend. Then she remembered this Penny was also the genderbent Pen and she couldn't help but imagine her Damian and Pen together. She had to pierce her lips together in order not to laugh. Whenever she got home and saw her friends... She's totally picking on her Damian over this.

Jarvis
@Zarkun

As Jack answered, Jarvis said "this would be better to ask in person, as it involves explain things, and I don't entirely believe Lacrimas are a secure way of communicating" Jarvis said, "If its not a good time, on of my members is at your hotel, and wishes to ask something of you"

Jessie
@Hatakekuro
Jessie opened her mouth to speak, perhaps to reasure Ferris that nothing had Happened, beyond fumbling. But then she closed her mouth. If Ferris thought the night had been wonderful, that was good enough for Jessie. She smiled instead, watching as Ferris addressed the stadium.

As he moved back, leaned his head on her shoulder, she felt like she'd been hit with a sledge hammer to her heart. The move had just seen so natural, almost thoughtless, and completely genuine that it took her breath away. It was a little overwhelming, Ferris had seemed a little bit...puzzled by the events leading up to them waking up together, that she'd been worried. This simple movement made Jessie's heart go soft, mushy and she swallowed around a wave of emotion. Perhaps she was reading too much into things.

"last night was enjoyable" she agreed, smiling still. She slid an arm around Ferris to lean against him comfortably, content as Sheldon appeared once more, beginning to introduce the first match. Because she didn't particularly want to move from the position she was in, she grabbed her mic and turned it on.

"all very interesting questions, Ferris! Phoenix wings A team has managed to stay ahead of the competition, meaning they have a lot to defend! Let's see what hap-ooooh the pizza's here!" distracted, she grabbed the pizza box from the delivery person, taking a slice out "let's see what happens as the first battle begins!" she continued as if she hadn't just mentioned end Pizza on the mic, happily biting into her slice, she offered the mic to Ferris.

gabriel
@t2wave
Gabriel gave a shrug. Not many people seemed to think on it. And that seemed to lead to a lot of problems. "I think all life has been crazy since magics beenout in the open again" Gabriel said softly, "for better or worse" Sometimes he wondered if things would be better, without him, Michael, their parents having magic. "I don't think anyone stays up to date. Things just keep on happening, and all we can do is stay on our feet and keep on trying"

He didnn't seem to even notice that those words could be applied to him right then. he was merely trying to offer even the semblance of comfort to Ariel.

Pakuna vs Lazarus Battle one part one

As the third day of battles began, Games Master Sheldon eagerly awaited the names of the first battle. Some of the participants were a little battered, but still eager for battle, which Sheldon enjoyed.

"LAZARUS of Phoenix Wing A, aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddddd Pakuna of Tough Love, get ready to rumble!"

Games Master Sheldon ushered the others out of the arena, leaving the two.
Pakuna looked over at her opponent, studying him with a cool look, standing with one foot back, her weight n that foot and her arms crossed, watching and waiting. She wasnt' about to make the first move.

She didn't particularly care for this, but she would fight, for her guild. Harry had done it. So she could too. "come on. Lets do this"

Lazarus stood in the arena across from his opponent. "Yeah. Lets." He threw a brief glance to his team in the stands. They would be expecting him to win this. Arguably one of the stronger of the team, matches like this needed to result in points. He had just about recovered from using his new move yesterday in the games. He let his fur pelt slip from his shoulders, to the ground. Shirtless, he took a step forward. "Wing formation!" His wings grew from his shoulder blades, extending out wide. He wasn't here to mess around. He would go full strength. He formed white aura in his hands. "Come. This is the closest you'll get to touching a god." He narrowed his eyes, taking up a fighting position. "Victory light!" He fired a basic beam of light energy in Pakuna's direction, to make her come.

Pakuna rolled her eyes at these antics, and she dashed to the side, annoyed at the toying attack. Water formed under her feet, rising her into the air and she lept nimbly one to another as more water formed, and she leaped down towards Lazarus, water forming from her hands, steam rising from it. It was clear that this was hot, scalding water cascading down on Lazarus

She was quick. "Not bad." The water came cascading down. "Lord's protection!" He placed his hands in front of him, his lift shield forming, deflecting the boiling water, as it steamed. He flew upwards in counter. "Be judged by the heavens." He draw as he flew. "Tower of judgement." The light toward formed upwards around Pakuna with 3 magic circles, bombarding with air and light. He used the same move as when training with Sasha. 'I've always taught you Sasha. But we've reached the point when training with you improves my own magic.' He grinned, flying to the top of the tower. "Below of the light god!" He sucked up the light around him and blew it down the tower, amplifying the effects. He really was going all out for the points.

Pakuna didn't know what any of these attack were but she didn't particularly care. As tower of judgement fell over her, she didn't know what it was meant to do. Nothing seemed to happen, but as Lazarus attacked with a light God attack, water formed around her like a shield.

She sighed, and let it explode outwards, towards Lazarus, hoping to engulf him within it, so she could then bombard him with attacks. If Lazarus was caught, he would be in a round water ball. She didn't try to move out of the tower

The water radiated outwards. It seemed like his holy magic wasn't too good of a match for her elemental magic. He had no choice but to get up close. His wings still formed, he aimed toward the ball of water. "Max speed!" He flew directly for it, at astonishing speed, breaking the surface, traveling though it, and burst through the other side. He was soaking wet. "Fist of the light god!" He splurted out, flying towards her, fist aimed for gut.

Pakuna seemed to sink into the ground as Lazarus approached her, attacking with another light God attack. Water puddled, and as Lazarus missed her, she formed again, giving a cocky grin, she spaced out with water that froze when it hit Lazarus, for surely she couldn't miss now. Water rose up behind her like a wave, threatening to engulf everything in its path

It was cold now. "Aye! You bitch!" He laughed and grinned. His toned changed. "However. you dont get it." He flew upwards, and did not stop. He pretty high now, safe from any of the larger water attacks she may have had. "Below of the light god!" He fired downwards.

Pakuna gave a sigh, once more leaping from water geysers as they formed, moving away from the attack, and dancing from one to the other, towards Lazarus. Water pellets formed, in the air and fired towards Lazarus like bullets from a gun, freezing as they went. She fired them in all directions, hoping to catch him eventually with one

"degrading name calling like that is childish" she said with a yawn

She was persistent, he would give her that. "Ok... ok..." He see the ice pellets coming towards him. "You asked for it... Satan's grip." Horns grew from his forehead, his skin darkened, and the white aura turned black. "I call on you... magic from the fiery pits of hell. Vanquish the sinner that is in front of you." He deformed his wings, dropping out of the way of the pellets, landing with a thud, right in front of Pakuna. He was about a foot away from her. The power of speed boost his satan's grip gave him felt good. He hadn't used it in a while. "Fist of the light god!!!!" He aimed a right hook into her side.

Pakuna seemed Unafraid and indeed, she gave a laugh. "seriously?&?4 know i have sinned. I have stolen and cheated, I have lied and hurt.but I also know that I've spent the last 14 years of my life caring for, raising and looking out for a child left to die. I know I am not the purest person in the world. But I knew my sins and you can't terrify me with them" she said, her water catching Lazarus's attack, clumping onto his arm, and seemed very intent on swallowing him, into the ball of water.

Pakuna didn't want for anything so slow to happen. The wave came crashing down around them, engulfing them both, but Pakina held her ground

The water crashed down, heavy. He placed his arms above his head, not that it did anything. When the water cleared, he was soaked again. His eyes narrowed and he made eye contact with her. "Fist of the light god!" He swung. "Below of the light god!" He blew. "Regulus impact!" He followed up with a left hook of holy magic to the jaw.

Lazarus physical attacks did not hit Pakuna. They merely passed through ner, dispelling water, before she became solid again. She lept back nimble at the below attack, but couldn't miss it, earning herself a date with fhe ground. Shengrimaced and pushed nerself up, once more forming a wave of water. At this rate, she would fill tbe arena with water. Which actually wasn't a bad idea.

So this women couldn't be defeated by physical attacks. Interesting. The puddles Lazarus was stepping in were getting annoying, and they only seemed to be getting larger. He could swim, but he couldn't exactly fight whilst swimming. So long as he stayed in the air, he would be fine. He flew upwards, continuing a barrage of light bellows and victory light beam attacks, whilst spiralling upwards to outmaneuver any water attacks sent his way. He would get these points for Phoenix wing.

This was so annoying. Pakin gave a heavy sigh, once more sending water bullets towards Lazarus, using the geysers to get close to him, her water wave growing larger as she moved upwards. She had to at least put up a good fight, and try her hardest for tough love.

The water crashed down again, hopefully buffeted Lazarud to tne ground. Pakuna seemed to surface on it, standing on top of it

The wave did wash over him, but Lazarus had been using his wings for years now. He was more than strong enough to keep himself in the air, outlasting the water. He thought for a moment. So far her guild was dead last. How come she was fairly strong? He couldn't think about it any more, water bullets coming towards him. He darted forward in a zig zag motion at blitzing speed to get close to her. Once face to face he laid a fist of the light god on her, right in the jaw, attempting to completely make the fight swing towards him.

Pakuna wasn't wet, but the ground showed the the effects of so much water, the ground completely saturated, massive puddles forming. As Lazarus went to attack her again, she once more seemed to be made of waters his attack punching right though him. Pakuna moved smoothly, and counteracted, slamming a punch towards him

His entire body was soaked, glistening with water. It was heavy, but it didn't effect him too much. She did counter with a punch, which took him by surprise. He however, jerked his head back narrowly avoid her fist, grasping a hold of her wrist. "You can't avvoid me if I don't hit you with magic!" He tightened his hold, spinning with a throw to send her into the air. "Below of the light god!" He blew at her.

Pakuna reacted quickly. Another wave formed, large and looming behind her as she pushed off the ground with water, sending herself flying higher, but the attack still landed. She let out a cry, but her wave caught her, cradling her as if she were a baby, until she gained her feet on it, standing and looking down at Lazarus with fury.

Hard, frozen droplets of water rained down, essentially hail, around the fighting grounds, pelting, she hoped, Lazarus

He smirked a little. This woman was exactly what he was like a few years ago. She was direct and straightforward with everything she did. He respected that, but he had the upper hand here. "Victory light!" He fired a beam of holy magic from his hand upwards, clearing a flight path for him. He flew upwards, feeling a little tired. "BELOW OF THE LIGHT GOD!" He screamed, sending a wide beam of light magic hurtling towards Pakuna from a great height.

The attack hit Pakuna, and she let out a cry, as she was flung backwards. She fell to the ground with a crash, battered, bruised and shaken. She managed to push herself up, shaking weakly. She couldn't give up. She could let Harry down, couldn't let the guild down. If she let herself be beaten, how could she protect Harry? She let out a frustrated growl, and hot, boiling water was thrown up, as she guided it towards Lazarus, putting all her frustration into it.

He hovered in the air, with a sincere look on his face. "You're better than I thought you'd be." He paused. "But this is over." He sucked light in from his surroundings. "BELOW OF THE LIGHT GOD!" He combated the boiling water coming towards him with a below of light energy, locking power with the water. It was sort of like a magical 'push of war'.

Pakuna knew that Lazarus was stronger, but she couldn't just let him win. She dug her feet into the ground, and threw up more water, trying to overwhelm Lazarus bellow with high quantity. But she couldn't her power was waning fast, her water torrent failing, until Lazarus attack threw her backwards. She landed with a thud, and rolled onto her stomach, trying to push herself up, shaking. Her body didn't obey her, and she let out a shuddering sob.

As Pakuna hit the ground, he ceased his roar. Clenching his fists, and slicking his wet hair back, he trudged towards her on the ground. he charged up light magic in his hand, standing over her, ready for a beam of 'victory light'. "Do you concede?" He grunted. He didn't want to have to hurt Pakuna any more than necessary.

Pakuna knew that she couldn't just give up, couldn't just give in. She got her arms under her, and pushed herself up, arms wobbling she nevertheless managed to get herself into a sitting position, breathing hard. "Never" She said in a near whisper, "I have to continue. I have to be able to protect him. I can't let myself lose" She seemed to be talking to herself now, as she struggled to her feet.

Her body might not want to continue, but she still had magic enough. it began to pour around them, big fat drops of rain came thundering down, a torment of water, making it impossible to see. She seemed to soak in the rain, holding her arms out to it, and then bringing them together to clap loudly, almost like thunder.

Crashing waves of water fell around them, as she spent the last of her magic.

he shouted out as he was covered in the water, being swept away, trying to stay a float. He swirled around for a while, until the water was absorbed into the nearing saturated ground beneath them. He couldn't fly out, because he couldn't call on his wings in the water. Once the torrential waves had ceased, he lay flat on his back, sopping wet and panting. He pushed himself up, ripping off the remaining piece of fur pelt on his chest, throwing it with the other in the stand. The girl's body was broken, and it seemed as though she had used a lot of magic just then to try to wipe him out. He panted some more, before marching up to the sitting Pakuna. The look in his eye's suddenly changed. From wide eyed and heavenly, to pools of murderous intent. He didn't know what was coming over him. His entire body boiled. "My soul is burning." He muttered under his breath, before glaring at Pakuna directly in her eyes. "Do you know who I am?" He grunted. "You should fear me." His whole persona and voice tone had changed. "It'd be so simple to put you in your grave... right here in front of all these people." He was now kneeling down in front of the exhausted girl, whispering. He felt the boiling feeling again. His arm extended and his fingers latched around Pakuna's throat. He pushed up to his feet hoisting her into the air by her throat. "It would be so easy." He tightened his grip a little more, aiming for a choke, before suddenly letting go. He held out the palm of his hand, pointing at Pakuna. "Victory light!" The beam of light magic charged up and fired.

"Why should I fear you? Why should i fear death? After all, to the well organised mind, death is just another great adventure. The only reason to fear death...is if you fear your judgement. I don't" Pakuna whispered, closing her eyes as he lifted her by her throat. And then he let her go. As he charged up for another attack, Pakuna struggled to her feet, ordering her failing body to work, and putting the last of her strength into one last attack.

She punched him in the face as hard as she could, just before his attack hit her. She went flying, like a doll through the air, making no move to break her fall. Her last thought was I'm sorry Harry. I guess the higher we dream, the harder we fall her body hit the ground with a sickening thud, but Pakuna had lost consciousness.

The look in Lazarus' eyes reverted to normal. They widened and the feeling was gone. He felt his jaw. It felt like he'd been been whacked with a hammer. He looked at the unconscious Pakuna. Had he won? the last thing he remembered was being put under her waves, and almost drowning. He rubbed his eyes and looked down at himself. His finger tips were covered in blood. He looked at the body laying in front of him. There were bloody finger marks on her neck. Had he done that? He felt a tight pain in his chest and he spluttered a little, coughing up some blood. He felt a little faint but stood up tall. He didn't remember winning, but he had won. He turned around slowly, clutching his chest and started back to his guild stand.

Argus Leandros

Argus chuckled as the darkness around his form thickened, his eyes gleaming as he began to focus his energies in preparation. Once he saw that his opponent had also drawn a sword, his grin could only grow wider, his anticipation for the fight to come growing ever stronger by the second. This is going to be a lot of fun, if only Glasses could just loosen up and enjoy it. Oh well, better for me that she doesn't. Argus closed his eyes, focusing all his attention in waiting for the right moment.

He heard the on-rush of energy blading towards him, but he didn't move until the very last moment possible, slashing his sword upward with a mighty shout as the ground exploded into a beam of energy that blew everything within 5 meters of Argus either up into the air with it's force or launched them back a ways with it's shockwave. Once the bean dispersed, there'd be a big patched of wrecked earth. . . but no Argus, as he'd let the energy beam blast him up into the air, using this to buy time to store the energy used into his sword, giving it a menacing crimson glow. He then changed the propert of his magic to fire as he begin to freefall, blasting himself downward towards his target,with an explosive blast that was sure to catch Marlene's attention. By the times he noticed, however, he'd already be on top of her, twisting in the air and getting ready to hit her with his giant blade wreathed in black and crimson flames. However, before he would make contact, he simultaneously change the property to lightning and focus all of the anger he had currently stored inside of him from Marlrne into the power and impact of his next attack.

"Crimson God's Mjolnir!"

The ground would noticeable shake a bit, for as soon as Argus' blade made contact with whatever defense Marlene had risen, all that could be seen was a loud boom as the shockwave rushed over nearby trees and the two spectators, leaving things ruffled but unharmed. The same could not be said for the area hit by the attack, as it seemed that a large object had smashed into the ground, as deep cracks in the earth radiated from the scorched crater. Argus would land a few feet away, empty handed as the shock from the impact had blasted Crimson Nightmare from his hands. The sword was now stuck way up high in a tree, and while he could've easily gotten it back through re-quip, he refused to do so. This way, it'd be more challenging to see if he could get it back.

Wow, she emits really fucking pissed at me. I did not think that her anger would cause something like that if I added it to Mjolnir. Well, won't be doing that again, nearly lost my hands with that one, and they're much to numb to wield a weapon right now. Shouldn't be a problem though, cause I doubt her sword survived that level of power and impact at close range. . . though I'm pretty sure she did.

Argus took another prep stance, keeping alert for any signs of her anger she had and wondering when she'd next attack. He considered making a joke, but decided against it. She was angry enough as it was, no need to kick the bear if he wasn't getting anything from it.

Damian Gerard|Streets of Crocus

Damian shrugged, but there was an itch at the back of his mind that something was off. "The games mostly. However, I did just get done rounding up the members of a Dark Guild that singled out Phoenix Wing for some reason for a personal attack. Their guild leader DID single out a girl I'd spoken to briefly this morning though. I'll have to ask her about it when she recovers." He looked at Karn and noted that there was something off about his body language. Hmmmm....normally I'd pass this off as paranoia, but I know the kid fairly well by now... Trusting his gut, he decides to ask something only the two of them would know.

"I never got the chance to ask before, but...how are you? After Hemlock, it seemed like you avoided the guild for a while before we all left for training."

Jack Goran|Streets of Crocus

Jack frowns slightly, but nods. "I'm already there to stamp a new member. I'll have a word with them while I'm there."

Ariel

@Caits
Once again Gabriel had some useful insight. Perhaps she should approach things from a different angle. Thus far she'd seen her ability to replicate magic to be something of a curse. For whatever the reason it was a part of her. Something unique to her it seemed. "You're probably right..." She said absently as the next event started and progressed.

It was an intense battle. Ariel had seen Lazarus fight before and this time was no less spectacular. Pakuna held her own well. Ariel could probably learn a thing or two from her. While she was paying attention to the event she also rolled Gabriel's words around in the back of her mind. Maybe she was hindering herself by fighting against magic. Eventually it did occur to her that, while Gabriel had a good answer, he didn't seem to be following it himself. She chuckled a bit and stood up straight. "Tell you what. If you stay on your feet and keep on trying then so will I."

Offering a hand to shake on it, part of Ariel's hair turned from brown to its usual white. Whether Gabriel agreed or not Ariel had made up her mind and it reflected by her magic returning. Which was likely to result in the magic in the area falling on her like a ton of bricks. Though hopefully she would adjust quickly.

Mors vincit omnia

(Death conquers all)

Ferrin, Colt and Claire

Ferrin lead the Twin through the twisty, mazelike city, taking random turns, backtracking, and doing anything he could to shake a persuer. The stopped in a dead end back alley. It was empty of people, but full of garbage, and smelled like it. "Why have we stopped?" Colt asked. "Are we safe?" Ferrin was looked around. "Sure, sure." He said, disractedly. He walked around, seemily aimlessly, occasionally picking up something and looking under it. "Eww... Claire said, when Ferrin picked something up and a huge cockroach skittered out from under it. "What are you doing?" She demanded of Ferrin. "Counting...sh." She put her hands on her hips. "Counting what? The insects? What are we even doing here? Some maniac is up to something, and here we are picking through trash. Do you even have a brain in that head of yours? Do you even realize whats going on?!" She went off on a firy trade that went for a full minute or two. When she had finished, Ferrin seemed un moved. "Ixnay." Was the only thing he said. Claire wasn't sure how to respond, so she stopped. I change my mind, somewhere, a village it missing it's idiot. She thought to Colt. Claire, can't you see he is doing his best? There mist be a point to what he is doing, so leave him be. Colt thought. Claire didn't like it, but she kept quiet. Four more minutes passed, without a word between them, and even Colt was wavering. Finaly he said "Do you think---" But whatever he was about to say was never to be said, for at the end of the alley, ten undead, five skeletons with swords, two with bows, and three rotting corpses rose from the earth. One of the skeletons had that same purple glow coming from inside it's skull. "Backing yourself into a corner? Not very smart." The necromancer laughed. "Oh no." Colt said. Ferrin straighted, and grinned. "Seven minutes." He said. "It took you seven minutes to find us." The necromancer laughed again. "I hope you enjoyed them, because they are the last you will ever have! Get them!" The undead charged.

Ferrin picked up the Twin in his arms. "Hold on tight, this could get bumpy." He said, as he crouched as if to jump. "Aether Enhance, Leg Point!" Claire looked at him, crimson eyes wide. "Wait, what are you planning to---HOLY CRAP!" Her question changed to a shout of alarm as Ferrin jumped. No, wait, that doesn't convey what happened. Ferrin sprang, high in the air, easily clearing a three story building. He looked down at her. "What is wrong?" Back below him, several magical traps he had set, triggered in wave of frost magic that froze every undead solid. Claire cluched, despratly to Ferrin. "No, no, you don't understand, I'm--I'm." She stuttered. Ferrin lost momentum and he started falling, but he landed on a building, his enhanced legs easily taking the impact. Then he sprang again, this time about five total stories up. Ferrin grinned, by her reaction, he though he knew what it was. "Yes?" He said, fax-patiently. She tried to gare at Ferrin. "I'm afraid of hights, okay, you ass!" She shouted. Her expression then went blank, and her eyes changed color. "Then I'll take over." Colt said. Ferrin chuckled as he kept springing from building to building, making his way straight across town. "Our next move is to find out where this person is and what they are planning to do." Ferrin had this nagging feeling he couldn't pimpoint. Something that he felt was incredibly importaint. A connection...The Grand Magic Games...Crocus...Necromancy... No, he still could not remember it for the life of him. "How are we going to do that?" Colt asked. Ferrin frowned. "I am not sure. I think I know how they are tracking us, but I don't know if she is tracking me or you. I have sometimg I want to look into, but I need...time. He said.

Ferrin came to a stop on the rooftop of a tall building. He set Colt down and extended his magical senses. He could feel the magic of the Twin, next to him, a feeling akin to having a fire on one side of his body and a blizard on the other. Further out, he could also feel the overwhelming amount of magic from the thousands of wizards gathered here, and the Coliseum emitted so much magic, he was half surprised it hadn't exploded. He searched for any traces of familiar magic, but he couldn't find any. Valak is not the type to expend magic. It would be nearly impossible to find him, even with telepathy. He was about to give up when he felt a very familiar and massivly powerful magic. It is him. Fate my be playing a cruel joke, but beggers can't be choosers. Ferrin turned to his small companion. "Alright, I have a plan, but I don't think you will like it. You two are going to need to trust me on this one." Colt tried to interrupted, but Ferrin stopped him. "I am 95% sure that the necro is tracking you two, so we will need to split up, briefly. I don't want to leave you alone, so I'll leave you with a...friend. Here." Ferrin pulled a ring with a black onyx setting out of his pocket and handed it to them. "This is a ring that hides you from magical detection. However, the downside is that it absorbs your external magic, so any spell you cast will be weaker. You can activate it to realise all the magic it has gathered in one burst, but when you do, do not point it at anything you want to keep." Colt took the offered ring and looked up at Ferrin with a slight bit of anger. "Dispite what we look like, we are not kids." Ferrin nodded. "But right now, you might as well be." He said. Colt looked down at his feet. "I know, I just...no, we just hate being weak and powerless." Ferrin pitied them. He laid a hand on their shoulder. "I know how you feel. I swear, I will do everything I can to reverse what was done to you."

Ferrin picked up the resolute Colt and homed in on the magic he felt earlier. He hopped from building to building until he caught up to his target. "Incoming! He shouted as he hit the ground next to the man and plowed a furrow through it to stop. He set down the Twin, and turned to Time Lord. "I have a huge favor to ask of you. I know we haven't known each other for long, and this is abrupt, but this is very importaint. I need you to watch over these two," He said, gesturing to the Twin. "They are being persued by a powerful and dangerous person. I need somone I can trust to protect them, and you are at the top of a damn short list." Ferrin waited for Time Lord's reply.

@t2wave

Gabriel gave a sigh. Stay on his feet and continue to try. Well, how would that would for him? The guild didn't seem to really want to have anything to do with him anymore, and he wouldn't apologize for interfering in a situation he thought was wrong. So he couldn't really go anywhere from here. So he let that part of the conversation go.

He took the offered hand, and neither disagreed or agreed. "I'm still here and that's all that matters for the staying on the feet part" he said simply, as the fight concluded.

time lord

Time lord glanced up as Ferrin appeared, stopping short. As Ferrin Babbled on, Time Lord merely let him talk, his hands still in his pockets, assessing the situation. How strange. well, I've known you longer then you have me. I wonder how things are back home. Am I destroying myself, to change what things are? Will I still know the man I trust more then anything? Or will the lonely, helpless boy simply...cease to exist? these questions haunted Time lord, floating around his mind, he had to at times force himself to simply not think of it.

"your mushy sentiment is enough to make any delicate heart melt. I however was raised to accept responsibility, and not be swayed by such things" time lord said mildly, studying the twin. some things though stay the same. How...reassuring to know that. it was almost enough to break the...polish Time lord put around himself.

"I'll do what I can to ensure their protection." he said, "you never cease to amaze me" he muttered under his breath, before saying louder "if only because murder is quite distasteful. If you wish me to return, with them, merely say my name and I'll come. It's Seth. And I won't be happy if you share that with anyone"

Marlene Evangeline

The beam was pointless as Argus fired up his own beam, launching him high into the sky. Marlene was slightly confused, but suddenly jumps up to meet the blade of Argus'. Jeez, it seems he doesn't know about the massive collateral he's doing to the city. At least Marlene would just beat the snot out of him with ehr bare fists and then leave him alone, not use up her magic. But alas, tis not the case. Suddenly, she met blades with the opponent, with a strike that created a massive shockwave, launching she and him away from one another. The Crystal Maiden would land a small distance away from him, her sword still clutched in her hand. Yet the sword was already cracked, some parts being chipped off from their initial clash. Alas this Argus-bitch is not to be taken lightly.

Speaking of swords, looks like Argus' must have either been destroyed... or in a tree somehow. This was it. If Marlene can keep her opponent from reaching the sword, she'll be golden. And she doesn't want to go into Phase 2 just yet. She does have one trick up her sleeve though. With a snap of her fingers and a sway of her hand, the ground beneath the two would turn into slippery crystal, making said opponent slip if they ran or walk without caution, all happening in just several seconds.

"Crystal Make: Floor!"

With her opponent perhaps beginning to slip on the crystal, Marlene makes a quick dash towards him, already swiping her sword to slash him.

Samir Saron

"So...Are you new to Phoenix Wing or something? Nolan never mentioned someone like you before. The name's Enma, mage of Frenzy Plant and friend of Nolan. Yours?" Enma would then ask.

"Ya just tryin' to find a chance to hit on her aren't ya?" Dalton stated, hoping to ruin any chance for Enma to get any leeway that the oni would get from Samir.

Yet Samir slightly chuckles at that statement.

"Samir." she simply replies, "But you can call me Sam or Sammy. I'm an older veteran of the guild. I've just been away on long several-year missions by myself, so you wouldn't hear much about me. Pleased to meet an oni such as yourself."

She then looks over to Dalton.

"And I take that your En~ scuse' me, Nolan's exceed right?" Samir kindly asks.

Grane Falo

Location: Domus Flau, Crocus

Grane thought about Sayatachi's answer. But her answer wasn't very surprising. With the numerous missions that he's been on, it allowed to meet various kinds of people to interact with for bit and get to know. Although he was curious about what she plans to do. "Hmm, seems like the boy is leaving. Perhaps you should try something else. Today is your first day being as a Council Member. Would be good to leave a first impression. So instead of staring and talking about him from afar, why not in person?" He simply leaned back on his seat and watched the current battle.
