Joshua

Joshua barely blinked as his free arm shot up and deflected Beatrix's blow with ease, causing it to go past his face and only slightly disturb the loose strands of his hair. "Too slow" He said before jumping back to avoid whatever retaliation Beatrix aimed at him. He had to guess she would go for a quick, station strike given the distance between them. He jumped back just enough to avoid a strike from her fist or her legs, assuming she didn't do something to prevent him from jumping back.

Amelia

Amelia looked up at Jarvis when he placed his hand on her shoulder and reassured her while giving her a gentle smile. Amelia gave him a smile in response and mumbled a thank-you before following him again. When they reached the guildhall here, she couldn't help but me amazed. When she saw Beatrix though, she quickly hid behind Jarvis while looking nervously at the woman as she fought Joshua. She knew bits and pieces about Beatrix's past but only vague small ones. Angry spirits were never very coherent.

Vincent had been looking around, studying the area and trying to piece together what had happened. Rutger was right. A large scale fight would have probably have reduced the Guild to nothing. He hadn't seen any signs of people trying to escape. It....was almost as if they had just up and vanished. It would take an incredible amount of magic to transport that many people surely, so if someone was behind it...they were incredibly powerful. At the thought, Vincent chuckled, not even noticing the fact that Rutger had gone silent. As he was thinking more about the possibilities, a new person showed up, and claimed to be the Phoenix Wing Master. Well....that wasn't good. They had mentioned how they were accepting new members but...he wasn't exactly trying to join the Guild. So....what was he to say. 'Oh hi, yeah I'm just a freelance Assassin Mage coming to your Guild to check out your power in case I never need to fight any of you'? Not a chance. He had to think of something, and quick. Tuning to the newcomer, Vincent put on a smile."My name is Vincent. I too am curious to know what happened here." He said, trying to answer ambiguously. If he didn't exactly state whether or not he wanted to join, he could hopefully avoid any...unpleasantness.

Jayce wasn't paying much attention to Karn at all, singlemindedly rifling through documents of missing persons, muttering various accounts aloud to himself. "...Year X794, couple missing never found until six years later...X754...X641...Nothing, nothing, nothing..." Holding his forehead, Jayce says: "Silver haze isn't even listed in here...Nothing about X886 at all." Quickly rifling through more files, Jayce comes up with the same results, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, and nothing. By the end of his search, Jayce was getting frustrated. Holding his forehead in his palm, he sighed. "...Nothing..." Nori was being surprisingly well-behaved after Jayce let her go, in the sense that she kept growling but didn't bite Karn. She was raising her extra web-spinning appendages menacingly though.

Sasha dropped her head into her hands. "you're not making it better!" she said, her voice muffled by her hands. She sighed and looked up. "I'm sorry im not like you. In our world, ben's dead. Our parents are dead. I'm sorry I wasn't given a chance to know them, to become you. I don't belong here, and it hurts every single time I look at Ben. Because I saw him die. You can't imagine that horror, at 8 years old. So I'm sorry that I'm not some, some...some tart!" her words were full of her emotions, and feeling claustrophobia, she darted out the guild hall, brushing passed Jarvis, passed those that belonged in this world, and into the open. She looked for somewhere, anywhere, to go, and ended up climbing a tree.

edo-sasha

At this outburst from her other self, Edo-sasha was silent. Her eyes roamed to Ben, and she let out a sigh. She supposed she had just thought they would have had the same experiences, but realized now how ridiculous that was. Of course they wouldn't have. One had magic, the other didn't. "well. I'd say that was a verbal slap" she said, "I'd say id go talk to myself, but I don't think myself wants that" for a rare time, Edo-Sasha's voice was serious.

master Jamie

Jamie looked about, and said "wellRutger. To be honest, this could have merely been the result of a scuffle between comrades. But I don't think so.we have a lot going on at the moment, and..." what could she say? That he was afraid a handful of her members had been sent to Edolas? "I'm sure what happened here. I was just investigating it" He turned to Vincent, studying him. "I believe that. But I'm sure you weren't here to join, correct? A good assassin must know the enemies they may face after all"

edolas penny "pen"

pen nodded, and turned to go out, towards the legion stables. He loved it when a plan came together. He shoved his hands in his pockets, and rolled the lacrima around his right hand, smiling. Oh yes. When a plan came together, he felt excellent. And how interesting that he was going to the guild Phoenix Wing. Where his half brother and Sister were. It was sure to be a fun day there. "alright. I shall wait for you by your legion"

jarvis

Jarvis shifted as Anelia ducked behind him, watching the strange woman. In Earthland, jarvis didn't just rely on his magic. He trained, and figured without magic, this woman was just like the rest of them. So yes, he could protect his guild. "don't worry" he said to amelia "you're safe. She won't hurt you."

Edolas Master Jamie

Edo-jamie looked to Karn, although that was probably hard to tell with the mask. "I'm aware, thank you Karn.yes. Magic has been returning for 100 years. A drop here. A drop there. And influx 3 months ago, which is curious. And more now. So. How did our Earthland counterparts get here?" and this was directed to Jarvis. Who shrughed. "I'm unsure about that" although jarvis had a theory. "regardless. We need to investigate this. Before a power struggle happens over it. And I know just where to go."

Vincent felt his blood run cold at the statement. He had been found out, just like that. Vincent took a step back, taken off guard that he had been found out so easily. He thought he had been sly, had hidden his identity well. He was confident in his skills, but he wasn't sure he could take on a Guild Master level Mage head on if the person in front of him decided to eliminate him. He discreetly reached for his weapon's belt, where he kept his knives. If he had to, he could use it to escape. But for now, he was going to play it cool. Vincent smirked at the Guild Master, a bead of sweat pouring down his side. "Does my reputation precede me that much? Or was it just that obvious?" He asked, trying to gauge what would happen. If he could, he wanted to avoid any direct confrontation.

Lazarus Lazarus sighed. It was probably all the talk about 3 ways, and perverse things that had taken her over the edge. He put his hands in his pockets and followed her outside. It took him a while to find her. But he did find her, sobbing away in a tree. Normally, he'd form his wings and perch next to her, but he guessed he'd have to do it the old fashioned way. He hoisted himself onto a branch, and climbed up. he shuffled next to her and a hefty branch and put his arm around her. "Sasha.. I'm sorry. About me... about Ben.... this world.... everything. I promise we will go home." He smiled and squeezed tightly Edo-Lazarus. "Quite." He mounted the Legion, with Pen before taking off. "This might be very difficult you know... Those people will know who we are. We are part of the kingdom, we are higher ups. To them we work for satan." He chuckled. "We'll have to be very convincing, because they will be confrontational to start with.

Karn Fiore || Kabo || Council Library Interacting: Jayce, Nori

Karn watched as the man looked through the books then at Nori, pouting as she continued to growl and glare at him threatenly. It was obvious that she probably wouldn't get over her instincts so he instead looked to the metal arm man. "What happened in X866?" he asked curiously.

Edolas

At the bleach boy's outburst, Edo-Karn minorly glanced toward them. "Trust me, I wish you never came to Edolas. But complaining and crying about it won't do any good either." they said simply then watched as the Earthland Sasha practically had a mental breakdown, shouting at Edo-Sasha before bolting away. At the serious tone, Edo-Karn simply nodded. "Well at least she has some backbone. Leave her be for now. She'll calm down. We have more important things to think about anyway." they said before turning to Edo-Jamie as the Guild Master spoke. Nodding in agreement, the blonde glanced to any Earthlander remaining in the world. "Slowly returning then having a burst of it is different. Bursts draw attention. We better hurry. Cause I can guarantee were going to have unwelcomed visitors who would very much enjoy skinning every one of these guys for info and their magic. But we some people will have to stay behind. It will be suspicious if no one is here." they said.

Phoenix Wing Guild Hall Rutger Artz

Rutger sucked in a sharp breath when Master Jamie revealed Vincent's real identity. How had xe seen through the man so easily? Was it part of his magic, or just experience, or just...something else? Nonetheless, as Vincent took a step back and, seemingly cool as a cucumber, asked the same question Rutger was thinking, the traveling mage stepped up a little bit in front and to the side of the Guild Master. "If you weren't responsible for this, or coming here to finish the job," he began, more confidently than he actually felt, "I think you should leave. There's nothing here for you, the way it looks to me, and there's no need for any more fighting. This guild hall has been damaged enough, and right now there are many people missing, possibly in danger. If you don't have any ill will, let's just go our separate ways for now."

In response to Karn, Jayce simply lifted his right arm up. "This."is all he says before lowering the arm. Taking a deep breath, he says: "Entire town just up and vannished. Entiore Fioran scouting party vanished. And, my arm vanished." Taking a seat in a chair and leaning back, he adds: "Whole reason I came here was to see if anything similar happened."

[centermaster jamie[/center] Master Jamie just smiled, watching as Vincient reached for a weapon, or at least that's what Jamie thought. She leaned against the bar in an easy mannor and said "I'm aware of your reputation, however I make a note of knowing those who chose the assasian trade, and follow them and I have my own ways of knowing things" he said with an easy smile. Jamie was clearly unworried about have an Assassin in the guild "I'm sure you had no part in what happened here. One of my members informed me it was a woman, so unless you can change your shape, then I'm guessing it wasn't you"

Edolas-jamie

edo-jamie listened to Karn and nodded. "yes. We will leave a few people behind, if only to keep up the pretense that we aren't searxhinf for the magic to defend it. I would say we could just leave the Earthland versions, but this isn't their world. We can't risk that" he said, walking over to edo-Karn to see what they were doing

Sasha sighed and shifted, letting Lazarus hold her. "it's not that.its...knowing that my parents, my brother is alive here. Does that mean that without magic, withoit the fact that I can control ice, without all that, would they be alive? Or would I be dead too? It's torture not knowing. I don't care about all that teasing-it's just friendly. But I can't be this version, and I can't be anything but who I am" she said softly, looking down at the ground, and sighing again.

edolas Penny "pen"

pen climbed up onto the leipn behind Edo-Lazarus "of course they will know who we are. That's the point. But we can handle them. Do not fear, Lazarus. We will be powerful, and we will lead Edolas into a new world!" He said easily, cheerfully, and looked about, watching as the land blurred easily as the legion flew across it

Beatrix

She was impressed at how fast Joshua could move. Not many people were able to dodge her attacks, even without her magic. Her lips curled in a snarl as she hounded her target. Rather than a single powerful blow, Beatrix began a high-speed barrage of punches. Her arms were a blur as she attempted to pummel Joshua. He dared to put his hands on her and dared to mock her. For this he must pay. "You're gonna be seeing in two different ways when I'm through with you!"

Edo-Maddox

A loud Legion's roar echoed over the Phoenix Wing guild hall. From over the trees swooped down the large beast, kicking up a powerful gust as it set down. Beatrix was mostly focused on Joshua but she spared a glance over her shoulder to see who just arrived. From atop the menacing looking creature, the infamous leader of the Edolas White Hydra jumped down. Her eyes locked with the Maddox that just arrived and she ceased her assault on Joshua. If her fury hadn't been enough before, Beatrix grew visibly more angry. "You!" she shouted before charging toward Edo-Maddox in a blur of motion. The well-built man raised an eyebrow as she drew near, watching unflinchingly as she leapt at him with a powerful kick. He remained motionless, standing firm as her boot nearly struck his face. Only at the last second did he rotate out of the way, letting her attack fly past. Before she could find herself behind Edo-Maddox, an elbow came down with incredible force, striking Beatrix in the solar plexus. She let out a painful hacking sound as her body rocketed toward the ground with a powerful boom. She began to bring her arms across her midsection, having difficulty breathing, before a black boot planted itself on her throat and kept her pinned down. "Now, this is a surprise," Edo-Maddox spoke rather calmly, glancing over at Joshua and then at the guild hall. Beatrix tried to remove his foot but found he wouldn't budge. Calmly and carefully, Edo-Maddox removed the long and thin box from his back and pressed the end of it against her midsection. As soon as it made contact, Beatrix let out a pained gasp and began writhing in pain. Odds are if she could breathe she would've screamed. After a second or two of contact he removed the box from her and strapped it on his back again. "Now I understand what is going on here," Edo-Maddox noted. His red eyes looked over to Joshua now. "Is your master home?"

Karn Fiore || Kabo || Council Library Interacting: Jayce,

Karn listened to the man's explanation, looking at the metal arm that was raised to emphasize the black haired man's point. After listening to it, the smaller boy didn't really know what to say, but he did understand why the man seemed determined to come here. Looking over the books curiously, Karn attempted to look for a book. "Mhmm well I dunno if something like that would be there, but there are more books in the archives. Something like that may be there since it's a restricted area." he said.

Edolas

The screen would mostly look like just a bunch of jumbled nonsense to most people, but it contained several names and their belonging faction. One of them being White Hydra and their leader. Names from the Royal capital as well, and Edo-Karn was sorting through names, putting them in different categories before pausing as there was quite the racket outside. "It looks like we are too late GM. And if I had to guess, by the sounds of it, it's either Pen or White Hydra who have decided to visit. Neither good news." Edo-Karn said before pressing a few buttons, causing the machine to go on heavy lockdown then looking to the remaining Earthlanders, Joshua and Amelia. "It will be better if you guys stay low. For your safety." The blonde suggested calmly but seriously. It wasn't a order however. Glancing to the Guild Master and their fellow Guildmates, Edo-Karn walked outside to see who had decided to pay a visit. They saw the swordsman, a legion, and a man with red hair which had the bimbo under his foot. Emerald eyes narrowing slightly, Edo-Karn studied him. Maddox, leader of White Hydra. Well if their day wasn't already shit, it definetly was now. "To what do we owe this visit from you Viper?" Edo-Karn asked in the same calm manner, but their body was a bit more tense, ready for any sort of attack. Maddox wasn't one to take lightly, if they weren't careful, he'd probably land a killing blow. Not before extracting information of course.

Edolas-Master Jamie

Edo-jamie sighed heavily, and from the top of the stairs, Edolas's version of Jarvis appeared, blinking as he took in the scene. The only difference between Edolas Jarvis and Earthland Jarvis was the absence of the scar to the nose. Otherwise, they were spitting images. Clearly taking whatever this was in stride, Jarvis went over to Edo-jamie, "never a dull moment, I suppose" Jamie laughed, and clapped Edo-Jarvis on the back. "well, let's go see what White Hydra wants then. Earthland Jarvis, why don't you stay with your people?we can take care of this" but Earthland Jarvis shook his head. "I have Lacrima's filled with Magic. I can help" Earthland Jarvis said, looking over at those from his world, "stay here. Please" Edo-jamie shrughed and started out."ah Maddox. Always a pleasure"

Joshua

Joshua reacted quickly to Beatrix's attacks, using his free hand to block half of them while he dodged the others using as little movement as possible. The way things were going, with Beatrix wasting so much energy, she would be exhausted well before he would. At that point the fight would be an easy win, since she would be tired and slower to react as a result. Sadly, the fight never got that far as they were interrupted by the roar of large creature, which then proceeded to land in front of the guild. Joshua paid little mind to it, still blocking and dodging Beatrix's attacks right until she stopped, her expression growing angrier as a man jumped off the creature that landed on their midst, much to his surprise. Was there no limit to the amount of anger this woman could feel? Before he knew it, Beatrix launched herself at the man, who easily dodged her attack and countered with a powerful blow, defeating her with one hit, much to his relief. One last problem to deal with. However, Joshua's expression darkened at what the man did to Beatrix next, choking her and almost torturing her in his eyes. She was defeated and there was absolutely no need for that. The man then addressed him, asking him if the master was in. "Not my master." He said simply, his voice heated for the first time." Also even if they were and if I knew, after that little display, what makes you think I would tell you? The woman was defeated, you had no right to do that to her!" It seemed he wouldn't be needed though, since the person the man, Maddox apparently, was looking for, came out and addressed them. Scoffing at this whole scenario, Joshua walked past Maddox and over to Beatrix, kneeling down and checking to see how she was doing right now

Amelia

Amelia watched the same scene play out as Joshua and was instantly frightened. By instinct she reached out and grabbed Jarvis' shirt. Even with that little bit of comfort, it was easy to tell she was scared due to how badly she was shaking. Unlike everyone else here, she was defenseless without her magic, having to formal training in any form of fighting. In this world, she was just a defenseless child with wings.

At the kid's explanation that there might be something about what Jayce was looking for in the archives, he immediately jumped from his chair, knocking it over behind him. "Really!? Where is it?" he says, jumping up and going in front of Karn. "Doesn't matter if it's classified, I need to get in there. Nori, stop trying to sneak attack him." The last bit made Nori drop from the ceiling behind Karn, snarling still. Picking her up again, Jayce says: "Bad Spider Dog. Bad." scolding her by wagging a finger in front of her snout.

Beatrix and Edo-Maddox

The red-haired man let his boot off Beatrix's neck and took a few steps toward Edo-Jamie. As soon as she was free, Beatrix began coughing and wheezing, trying to regain her breath. Edo-Maddox glanced over his shoulder at Joshua, his expression having not changed once since he arrived. "Defeated, you say?" he questioned Joshua. "You're like her." Now he faced Edo-Jamie, crossing his arms over his chest. "I wasn't planning on coming here, but I was in the neighborhood and felt something was amiss." He nodded his head toward Joshua and Beatrix behind him. "Those people are from Earthland, Jamie." Edo-Maddox looked over at Edo-Karn, giving him the same unsettling glare as everyone else, before facing Jamie again. "Why do I have a feeling that you already knew that? We aren't keeping secrets from each other are we? Or do you actually have nothing to do with this?" Edo-Maddox looked around at the guild hall. "Phoenix Wing is my favorite guild all across Edolas, you know. I like what you people do for every community you set foot in. It would be a shame if my favorite guild started betraying my trust." At this point, Beatrix rolled herself over onto her hands and knees, spitting out some blood. Without even sparing a glance to Joshua, she shoved him away from her and stood back up. "Hey!" she shouted over at Edo-Maddox, who didn't even turn to face her. "I'm not through killing you!" "Your friend there says you are defeated. I think you are through." With that distraction out of the way, Edo-Maddox faced Jamie again. "So what's the story? I think I already know, but I want to hear it anyways." Beatrix began to fume. Yet something kept her from attempting to fight him again. Now that she thought about it, this was the Edolas version of Maddox. With that in mind, she could start spotting the differences between the one she knew and this one. Regardless of them being two different people, she still hated him. She glanced at Joshua, as if she was seeing if he would attempt to stop her, before she began to march over toward Edo-Maddox with her fists clenched.

Mayat (Edo-Mayt) --- Edolas Phoenix Wing

Mayat smirked and moved towards Beatrix, drawing her Katana. She put it in Beatrix's path, forcing her to stop. "As fun as it was watching you lose once, I'd wager he won't be so nice the second time he kicks your ass. If you value your life you'd be wise to step down." She pushed the flat of the blade against her upper chest a little before putting it up, moving a back a little to let her through if she really wanted to, before turning to face Edo-Maddox, letting him talk, and looking fairly nonchalant about him being here. "Bit of a rude intrusion, coming in out of nowhere."

Karn Fiore || Kabo || Council Library >>>>> Council Archives Interacting: Jayce, Nori

Karn jumped a little as Jayce suddenly stood up and practically darted in front of the smaller boy, questioning where the archives was. The blonde looked up at the taller male, chuckling a little as he watched the spider dog jump down from the ceiling and growled and getting scolded again. "She really doesn't like cats." he mused before thinking a bit. "Well they are down below. I'll show you." Karn chirped happily before started skipping out of the library and heading the way he knew the Archives were at.

Edolas

As Edo-Maddox glanced toward them, Edo-Karn returned it unflinching, the green gaze watching him a not sparing a glance to the others other then to possibly glance at them out of the corner of their eye. As the woman seemed hellbent on getting another good beat down, Edo-Mayt stepped in to stop the Earthlander. Edo-Karn was thankful for their Guildmate's effort, but that tactic in stopping the angry woman would probably just make the blood boil. At the expected questioning, of course about the Earthlanders, Edo-Karn decided to simply keep quiet and let the Guild Master handle this. Even if they wanted to punch this guy in the face, that was obviously not the brightest thing to try unless you're prepeared to get a decent beat down in return. And Edo-Karn was currently, not allowed for such combat unless necessary.

Jayce beamed widely as he hoisted Nori up, flinging her onto his back. Once she was there, she wrapped her appendages wrapping around Jayce's back, effectively turning her into a spider-dog backpack. That was still growling. Jayce quickly ran after Karn, ready to explore the archives and get some investigating done. Nori, not too happy about Karn still, growled on Jayce's back, keeping her chin pressed against Jayce's collarbone as she tried to keep her eyes on Karn. "...Yeah...I don't think she likes you." Jayce restates.

As Amelia grabbed his shirt, Jarvis looked to her, and gave her a kind smile. He knelt so that he was her level, and said "do not fear, Little one." he said softly "it will all be okay" he shot a glance around, searching for somewhere where amelia could be safe. "stay here, okay? None of us will let you get hurt"

Edolas-master Jamie

Edo-jamie watched Maddox, deliberately standing in a relaxed manor, letting Edo-maddox speak. He sparred a glance for those from Earthland and then said "I am aware that they are from Earthland. And I know why. Just as I know why you are this way. And just as I know that I will stop you" she said, He nodded to Beatrix "that one isn't apart of this guild, nor does she appear to be apart of the guild in Earthland, and yet, I Recognise her. Just as i know you do." Edo-jamie stepped forward, and continued speaking "I ask you to leave. We do not wish to bother ourselves with you, Maddox"
