At the funeral's end, Hiroto finally reopened his eyes and found Satsuma already walking away. He jogged to catch up, "What's the deal? Where ya going?" asked Hiroto impatiently. This garnered a short pause from Satsuma before he spoke in response.

"Training you isn't my only job in this village. You should go back home and rest for tomorrow, you'll need it." and with that, the old man left and Hiroto was now on his own to do whatever he liked.

As much as Hiroto would have liked to train a bit more, he had to admit that his side was still aching from Satsuma's kick earlier. Wincing from the pain of the soreness, Hiroto rubbed his side and decided it might be a good idea to get it looked at. Who knew, maybe the medical ninja had some handy dandy pain relief jutsu they could use on it? One could hope, anyway. And so, Hiroto made a quick trip to the ninja hospital. They didn't exactly have the cool jutsu Hiroto was hoping for, but they were able to numb the pain and gave him some pills they said would help the soreness, so it wasn't a complete waste. This better not slow me down tomorrow.
Later that evening, Hiroto returned home to find that his folks had started dinner without him. They left some of the fish and additives on the counter so Hiroto was at least able to make himself some sushi for supper. With that out of the way he decided to turn in early for the night and retreated to his room. Hiroto's bedroom, which contained a bit of ninja paraphernalia here and there and a punching bug hung from the ceiling, couldn't have been a more welcomed sight. Without so much as taking off his headband, Hiroto collapsed onto the bed and fell right to sleep.
Satsuma didn't drag Hiroto out of bed that morning, but somehow Hiroto found himself awake at the usual time anyway. It was still a couple hours before he was supposed to meet his new teacher and teammate, but Hiroto was restless and so he left early, deciding to use the extra time to get in some morning exercise.

From his home, Hiroto jogged through the village, making his way to the training grounds where he was supposed to meet his team later. He figured it wouldn't hurt to show up early and be already training when the others got there. In fact, Hiroto decided, it might end up being a slick way to impress the new teacher with such dedication and punctuality. Reaching the training grounds only took a few minutes, and sure enough it looked like he was the first to arrive. No matter, morning exercises never hurt anyone anyway.

Hiroto began by doing some pushups on the ground. His side, while still a bit sore, didn't ache as much and thankfully didn't slow him down like he was afraid it would. After tiring of pushups, Hiroto got back on his feet and simply practiced his katas through shadowboxing, essentially throwing his punches and kicks at an imaginary opponent. His new team would get there when they get there, and when they did, he would be ready for them.

Reiji Hagashi -- After The Funeral

With the somber mood still tangible, the funeral came to a close. A gush of wind ruffled Reiji's hair as he dropped back down to the ground quietly. The Genin sighed and thrust his hands into his pockets, he needed to get out of this gloomy mood! He knew one thing that would lighten his mood, or at least distract him from the deaths of that day. Today his father came back from a mission, he had been away for a week. Of course Reiji loved his mother but he had a really strong bond with his father. The Genin hoped that the man would still have energy to train with him, he wanted to be sharp and ready to go the following day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later That Day
At the Higashi Training Grounds, two figures clashed, the sound of kunai clanging rang out into the silence of the forest around them. The two figures broke apart. Several beads of sweat slid down Reiji's face and mixed with the cut on his check to create a red streak down his face. He was too focused on dodging his father's ferocious offensive barrage to acknowledge the pain. Daisuke Higashi managed to catch him once in his abdomen and once in the liver. Reiji felt the breath leave his body with a "umph" and he jumped back. The Genin took a few seconds to recover, and to analyze the situation. They were practicing taijutsu that afternoon, and it was obvious that his father had the advantage. Reiji took the few seconds he had to devise a plan, and when his father come for him, he smirked. Reiji dropped low and swept his fathers legs out from under him and in one fluid motion, brought his other foot up for a round house kick. The teenager's foot smashed into the larger man's chest. Daisuke flew through the air at an impressive arc. He managed to flip and land on his feet. The leader of the Higashi clan breathed heavily. "You have grown stronger my son, one day you will be strong enough to lead this clan with honor. That is enough training for today, and keep this in mind. You have made me proud." Reiji grinned and gave him a thumbs up, "I will never give up and become stronger each day! That is my ninja way."
The Next Day- Morning
Reiji got up earlier than he usually did, today was a special day. His mother was already waiting for him with a plate stacked with food. For those who didn't know him, Reiji had quite an appetite. Although maybe it was because of his heightened sense of smell, he could smell his mother's cooking from a mile away. "Have a great day sweetie" Ayame called out to her son as he flew out the door. Reiji wanted to get to the training grounds early before his sensei and teammate got there, showing up early always left a good impression. Sadly, when he got there, he noticed that his teammate was already there. Well, Reiji assumed that he was his teammate, his sensei had instructed them to meet her there. Reiji finally recognized the boy as Hiroto Narumi. This was the perfect opportunity to see what his teammate could do. All he knew was that Hiroto specialized in taijutsu, which was quite popular in Iwagakure's new Genin. Reiji made sure his presence wasn't known and observed Hiroto. Once he felt like had enough information, he made himself known. The Genin made sure his footsteps could be heard as he approached. Reiji stopped in front of Hiroto, and did not say a single word. All he did was lift his chin in greeting. Reiji had heard that Hiroto could be quite obnoxious, but prayed that they were only rumors. Also, where was their sensei? Kyoko Akiyama was the Genjutsu Expert of Iwa. Her legacy was a brutal but admirable one. He heard that she ripped out an Uchiha's eye after a battle and had it implanted to her's. Reiji meant this in the manliest way possible, but her abilities scared the panties off of him. He never liked the Uchihas or genjutsu, they gave him the shivers. Too bad though, he was going to have to get used to it.
**** Kyoko Akiyama ****
Kyoko awoke to the sound of birds chirping. Hey eyes slowly adjusted to the light entering into her room through her bedroom window. She lifted her arm that was buried under dossier papers and her covers. She glanced to the right to her bed side table and saw a half drank bottle of wine. “Kariru is getting to be too much of an influence on me.” She said gently massaging her temples and pushing herself out of her bed. She headed over to her bathroom and looked into the mirror, grimacing at her reflection.
“Gods…” She said quietly pulling her clothes off and sleepily stepping into the shower, washing away the previous night.
Kariru threw on her training gear and fastened her vest on tightly. She stopped at the front door fastening her headband to her thigh and stepping out. She could tell by the sun it must’ve been around midday, she was due at the training field, but she decided she would be late. Today was a day she needed to find out everything the dossiers couldn’t about her new pupils. She stopped at a small food market and picked up a fresh loaf of bread, she looked for something else to pick up, perhaps something for her students; but she decided they’d have to earn it first. She went down to a small river running through a smaller portion of the village and picked apart the loaf, throwing it into the river for some ducks that quickly nibbled it up.
She had two head strong Genin that were so determined to become a member of the Granite Guard, yet they had no clue what that truly meant. Kyoko let a deep sigh escape her lips as she felt a nibbling on her hand as she discovered two ducklings eating the bread from her hand. She smiled at the symbolism and decided it’d be best if she get to her pupil’s now. She pushed herself up from off the ground and continued past the river, stepping on top of it with her chakra and walked through it. She made it to the training grounds and noticed both of her pupils had already arrived, it seemed she must’ve remembered to contact them both last night and tell them to be there. She walked up to them with a kind smile and introduced herself.
“Hello, my name is Kyoko Akiyama and I will be your instructor until you’re both ready to become full-fledged members of the Granite Guard yourself. Now, I’d like to address some quick things first. If you’ve both already heard the rumors” Kyoko said moving her hair from over her Sharingan eye “yes. I do possess the Sharingan, it’s been a great help in my training as a Genjutsu specialist.” Kyoko said, recovering her eye as to not intimidate the young Genin. “There will be no tolerance for the shaming of my name.” She continued. “From now on you’re all the best citizens Iwagakure could ask for. Finally, you will not, by any means necessary, disobey any order I give you, am I understood?” She asked, though the question was relatively rhetorical, she still had a kind air to her, but it was now a commanding one.
**** Kariru Tsuyo ****
Kariru didn’t wake up until about midday, a bottle of jack in her hand and, if her unreliable memory of last night served her, a man by the same name in her bed. She groggily shifted out of bed, fixed her hair to the best of her ability and began making breakfast. It seemed the man had smelled the food from the kitchen because he made his way down and took a seat. “Get the hell out you loser.” Kariru said harshly, the man seemed surprised, but didn’t argue, getting dressed and exiting the building. Kariru sighed and held her head, it was pounding. She shot back a bit of sake that was in a gourd she kept in the fridge before pouring some into the pan as she fried an egg.
She finished the egg and threw the pan into the sink after placing the egg on a crude plate fashioned from stone she had gotten as a souvenir for a mission she had partaken in when she was a Genin. She knew she had to go meet her students soon, she just didn’t want to. Kariru grabbed the bottle once more and lifted it to her lips, but it was empty. She threw the bottle behind her hearing it shatter against the back wall, finishing her egg and leaving the house, still in her casual clothing.
She walked through the streets of Iwa, getting some looks along the way, they seemed mostly sympathetic must’ve been because of the funeral yesterday. Sebaru must’ve played on their heart strings a little too much yesterday. She caught herself thinking a little too negatively and stopped in her tracks, directly in the middle of the road. ’I guess I should go for a session with Hiruzen soon.’ She thought rubbing the back of her neck, she didn’t like sessions with that guy, but she couldn’t deny they helped. She continued on her way until making it to the Hanamoto mansion, noticing a Genin standing against the post, if Kariru recalled, she was on Xavi’s team.
“Ruri, right? Would you mind telling the boy you’re undoubtedly hear to see to meet me at the fifth training field in the next hour. She asked, not waiting for a response, lifting her hand and waving it. “Thanks.” She beckoned to the girl, walking away.
She continued on her way, looking for the Juunimaru clan HQ but not having much luck. That was, until she realized she had walked past it what must’ve been three times. She walked up to the door delivered a powerful knock and then bent down writing similar directions she had given Kanajiro in the sand outside the door, except this set of instructions indicated that Hayashi would have to spar Kanajiro immediately upon arriving at the training field. With that Kariru delivered one more deafening knock on the doors and left for the training field.
Once she arrived, she simply sat down facing the entrance and waited.
Hiroto also said nothing when his new teammate, Reiji, greeted him. Hey, if Reiji wasn't going to say anything, then Hiroto wouldn't feel any obligation to do so either. He did pause briefly and nodded an acknowledgement, though, but went right back to his exercises after that. Come to think of it, Hiroto wasn't sure he knew much about Reiji. They graduated in the same class, so he knew the kid's name, but not much else. Hiroto wasn't exactly a friend magnet in the academy. When he wasn't pulling pranks he was likely picking fights with other students who made fun of him for his background. Since it wasn't exactly common for a fisherman's kid to become a ninja, the other kids (most of whom came from these big, important ninja families) liked to think of Hiroto as some kind of lowly peasant boy, but of course Hiroto wouldn't stand for any of it and ended up starting more than a few fights in the schoolyard as a result.
A woman's voice was what finally got Hiroto to stop his exercising. He turned and saw what had to be the prettiest face he'd ever seen. That was his new sensei? Score! Thought Hiroto. After having to endure Satsuma's training, this kind-sounding and, more importantly, smoking hot babe of a Jonin was a definite breath of fresh air. Not that Hiroto had the guts to actually say any of that aloud, especially when she showed them her Sharingan. Now, Hiroto wasn't particularly knowledgeable about NInja from other lands, but those Uchiha and their freaky eyes had all kinds of stories and rumors going around about them. The sensei, who introduced herself as Kyoko, explained that she was a Genjutsu specialist and made it very clear that she would not tolerate shenanigans of any kind. Well, crap, they couldn't have picked a worse Genin for her team then, since Hiroto practically lived for shenanigans.
"So basically, your specialty is mind-fucking people, right?" Hiroto asked bluntly. He probably could have phrased it better, but the funny thing was that he wasn't actually wrong, since Genjutsu were generally used specifically for psychological attacks: aka mind-fucking people. "Man, the way you basically go inside people's brains and make them go cuckoo... and people call me a dirty fighter." he said with a small snicker. Though he may not have worded it well, he actually seemed to rather admire the idea of Genjutsu, even if he had no personal interest in pursuing that field.
"Sounds cool and all, but personally I find something more... gratifying about punching people in the face," he shrugged, "maybe that's just me. I'm Hiroto, by the way. Hiroto Narumi, a superstar-in-the-making if I do say so myself."
Kanajiro Hanamoto
Kanajiro grabbed the bottle of ointments and drippled them onto his wounds -- they were few, as Daisuke hadn't inflicted much damage that could be seen. Rather, his legs and arms hurt from the boys constant blocking of Kanajiro's attacks. Every time he blocked an attack, he blocked it so hard and so well that Kanajiro's muscles had slowly gotten so very sore. And there wasn't an ointment in the world that could fix soreness like this. So Kanajiro soldiered on.
“A bite? Alright, sounds fair enough to me. Let's go to the ramen shop down the road.” he said in response to his cousin. In all honesty he could use some food as the training had exhausted him and he needed to regain some energy. He took off his clean, white training clothes and handed them to a servant, whom was waiting for Kanajiro and Daisuke to finish. “Give me a second, I need to change.” he said, running up a flight of stairs to head for his luxurious room. He opened the door and walked around the giant vase with flowers in them at the entrance of the room, headed for a mannequin. On it was the clothes he normally wore, laid out there by Rei most likely, his personal servant of sorts. Rei had taken over clan matters while Kanajiro was in the academy, and will continue to do so for the time being until Kanajiro was done with his Granite Guard training.
While he dressed himself, he stood at the window and looked outside, into the big courtyard that was in front of the house. There were several Hanamoto children sparring and playing in the courtyard. But something else drew Kanajiro's attention. Ruri Zuodian standing outside the estates' gates. Kanajiro had known her for some time -- she was part of an influential family that Kanajiro sadly had to deal with from time to time. Their influence was something to be reckoned with, and her father wasn't the most empathetic of guys. But Ruri was alright, if you forgave her short sightedness into the class system in Iwagakure. It didn't really matter to Kanajiro however, he was probably amongst the higher classes amongst the village and therefore Ruri had no real grudge against him.
But she didn't need a grudge to terrorise her classmates. Kanajiro zipped up his coat and attached the straps while walking down the stairs, holding up his hand towards Daisuke who'd still be waiting if he didn't leave yet. “Forgive me Daisuke, we will eat another time. Ruri is standing outside and I need to go see what she wants.” Likely she just wanted to call him names and then laugh about it -- not realizing she'd been the one waiting to call him names for an hour or so in the process. He quickly headed out the doors into the courtyard. On the left side of the courtyard, the wall had been temporarily broken down and was in the process of being linked to a new building site. Nobody but Kanajiro knew what it was exactly, but it looked to be quite a big building. He smiled as he looked at the building site before walking to the front gate. His tread went from a slow walk to a light tread when he got closer. He grabbed the handle of the big iron gate and twisted it and pulled it open.
Kanajiro's eyes went up and down to inspect her. “Ruri. Good to see you. It's been some time since I saw you at the academy. Being home tutored must've done you well in your abilities. What do you need?” It was undeniable that Kanajiro's eyes hung at her cleavage a bit before looking her in the face, but he had enough self restrait to keep looking her in the eyes as they spoke. Though, when he looked over her shoulder down the road he thought he could make out Kariru, the Granite Guard, walking away. He wondered if she'd wanted something or was just passing by. “I don't feel like standing here and talking, so perhaps you can tell me what you want during a walk?” he said, smiling at her and tilting his head slightly. You could call him a friendly person, but Kanajiro was quite good at keeping up a façade. He knew why she was here, sort of. She was bored, had nothing to do at home and so decided to spend her time torturing Kanajiro. But he'd been through that a few times and he had noted it was easier to just smile and pretend friendly than to call her names back.
So instead of waiting for her to call him names in front of the entire Hanamoto clan, he'd walk past her and grabbed her arm in the process, jerking it softly so she'd walk with him before releasing her arm. What would she have in store for him today, he wondered. And as they'd walk down the road he'd look at her and squint his eyes slightly, smile at her in a friendly manner and appear 'happy' for once rather than serious.
Ruri Zuodian
The wait had lasted more than five minutes, making it 'unbearably long' for Ruri who started to pace from the right edge of the gate to the left edge, often stepping on her refined kimono out of lack of care. It was anyone's guess that she wasn't very patient, no matter what she had to wait for, she couldn't just stand around and not get what she wanted right away. This was getting embarrassing too, just standing there in front of a clan's territory like she was some kind of psychotic stalker didn't make her feel at ease whenever she'd feel people looking at her while passing by. But the worst hard yet to come, some blonde chick had stopped on her tracks as she noticed the overexerted so they could confront each other.
"Ruri, right? Would you mind telling the boy you’re undoubtedly hear to see to meet me at the fifth training field in the TOMORROW MORNING."
The exposed teen couldn't help but look at the adult in a weird manner, eyebrow arched as a sign of slight confusion fused with a tint of nonchalance, as if she was indirectly saying 'Girl, I ain't your messenger-bitch'. Though Ruri also recognized her as one of those Granite Guards she was supposed to become better than in not too long, so she couldn't simply consider them as mere peasants from the get go. Nonetheless, Ruri was preparing one of those sassy hostile-like replies that wouldn't reply negatively to the demand, but make it clear that she wasn't going to take much more from her, despite her ranking. Before any air could come out of the teen's mouth, her ego was struck hard by the following reply.
"Thanks."
Ruri didn't even say a thing and that woman just left like she owned the place. Ruri was left dumbfounded for a second there, she was shocked that such obviously low-classed people could talk her down like this. She blushed out of sheer embarrassment, feeling slightly dominated. The only thing preventing her from getting into a catfight was fear of of getting in even more trouble and getting her ass handed to her by someone with recognized skills. But cursed with immense rage, then only real determining factor that prevented her all out assault on the woman was her kimono. It was just that cumbersome when she tried to run and do certain movements, so she let that one pass.
"Tch, bitch."
She muttered to herself, not wanting to catch her attention. Kanajiro was going to take a serious verbal beating because of all of this. Speaking of the devil, as this little scene ended, Ruri's primary target had stepped out of his household and was walking toward her. She smirked, at least now she could release some steam on a poor innocent soul who had the audacity to make her wait more than one minute. As he introduced himself with some polite sentences to greet her, Ruri couldn't help but be irritated by every single attempt he made to appear correct. Not only that, but he smelled like he had sweated a bit, his clothes seemed clean but it was obvious he had done a certain level of effort beforehand.
"Yeah, no shut up. I just wanted to remind you of how much of a homo you are. And that you smell like crap. Ugh, dude you suuuuuck."
It was a combo of senseless insults,but anyone who knew her understood that she needed to release some steam because of X reason. Plus it was hard to be offended by her when insults were free and unrelated to what was going on. Ruri was quite surprised when Kanajiro grabbed her by the arm. A man touching her like that without her permission? Such unwarranted brutality bestowed on her being without actually crossing the line of violence? She liked this, though she would prefer it being her doing this and not the contrary, but it didn't matter, it was more fun than sticking around and talking after all. When he let go she started to speak again.
"Kanajiro you retarded pigeon, stop trying to affirm you virility. It's just gone my friend! Plus some blonde-bitch from the Granite whatever wants to see you at some training field tomorrow morning, the fifth or something."
They walked for a little while through the streets until her stomach released a mighty growl. Placing her hand on her belly, she noticed that it was already passed lunch time, and the best would likely be to walk back home. After all she wasn't going to do with typical restaurants nearby.
"Dude, I'm hungry. Walk me home like the semi-gentleman you are and maybe you'll get something nice in your life."
It was her turn to be a little dominant in this leisurely walk a she didn't grab her arm but his shirt collar and dragged him through a block in a jogging pace just to mess with Kanajiro some more before stopping in front of the Zuodian mansion. There she'd let go and let him have his say in the matter, but not before pulling a Kariru on him. Upon releasing the collar, the same oppressing hand had its index finger flick the boy's nose out of nowhere. She giggled and took a few steps back toward her mansion's front porch, blowing him a kiss as the nice thing she promised before swiftly entering her house. She left Kanajiro outside, alone, probably hungry too and a few minutes away from his home. It was a mission that had succeeded.
Inside her home, she was immediately greeted with a slap across the left cheek. Despite the strength of the hit, it didn't make her fall over or lose her balance, no she was used to getting into trouble. She simply flinched and her head took a swing with the hand, only turning back slowly so she could glace back at her father. He had that same, annoyed frown from before, making it much harder for Ruri to keep her cool. A little smile formed on her face, which earned her a second slap, this time she didn't screw around anymore. Her cheeks were marked and would likely leave a small bruise on each cheek, but it didn't matter. She wasn't mistreated at all at her home, she simply got slaps whenever it was necessary but they were never enough to compensate how spoiled she really was. Once this little correction session was over, she was dismissed to the dining room where she had her lunch. The rest of the day was dull, she didn't do much, went outside to test out a few paper bombs, or just simply making things she found laying around explode. It passed the time and well, she at least prepared herself for tomorrow.
THE NEXT DAY
Once again, Ruri had one of these ring fights with her alarm clock, but this time she had managed to gather enough willpower to get up, her legs felt a bit numb, almost paralyzed, drowning five extra minutes down the slacking drain so she could motivated herself to stand up. Following her morning ritual, she dressed herself with a black T-shirt behind her white vest combined with white, silk gloves. Along with these came a white miniskirt followed by a pair of black stocking she wear along with the mandatory shinobi black sandals. He look was rather simple yet still high class in her perspective, all that was missing was her trademark black peaked cap, something barely anyone would ever see in these parts.
Once prepped, she checked if all her deat- shinobi tools were prepped for the meeting that was supposed to take place. As she skipped out of her house, while expected, she was surprised to see her servant greet her in front of a carriage maneuvered by a horse. After all, Ruri did not know where the meeting place was but the Tsuchikage's associates did a good job in noticing the Zuodian residents without directly confronting Ruri. The trip was quick and the chauffeur dropped her at the designated meeting place, that being the monument. Who was she going to be with? Would she have to deal with peasants or was there going to be some adequate level by her standards? She asked herself so many questions and almost felt nervous. Upon arriving at the monument that was especially crowded the other day, the rich child stepped out of the wooden carriage and looked around to find anybody noticeable. The chauffeur stuck around, making sure nothing would go wrong during the process.
Kanajiro Hanamoto
Kanajiro decided to let Ruri do her talking so that it'd be over sooner rather than later. So he just went along, took the insults and smile as she'd call him a homo. He'd simply retort, “If you say so Ruri.” Ruri was always right anyway, even when she was wrong. Something that the teachers had problems with whenever the tutor that taught her shinobi arts was unavailable or she had to take a certain class because it was mandatory. Kanajiro was just happy that she didn't struggle when he asked her to walk with him.
She suddenly decided that she had had enough however and simply grabbed his collar halfway through the walk, dragging him with her through the streets to her house. He couldn't help but grin as he was being pulled along by this strange girl, who'd given him a break from the serious stuff that he had to do as clan head. Maybe she didn't go about it nicely but he'd hardly care.
He got released from the girls iron grip and before he could stand up straight again -- he had to bend over due to being pulled by the girl, and the fact that he was taller than her -- she flicked his nose and laughed. Not sure how to respond to this, Kanajiro decided to just keep his mouth shut as he had before hand, simply put his hands inside his coat pockets and watched her walk back. When she blew him a kiss, he simply waved at her. “This girl is strange.” he thought to himself. Someone who randomly flicks peoples noses, calls them names and then blows them kisses. Definetely crazy. But when she opened the door to the mansion, Kanajiro could briefly see her father, and it was obvious her father saw Kanajiro too. They made eye contact for some time before Ruri had managed to close the door again. It was pretty obvious that Ruri had done something to anger him, but Kanajiro was unsure if he was partially at fault too for keeping Ruri away for so long.
Somehow her craziness made sense to Kanajiro, always being opressed to do what was right for the family, remember etiquette at all times. It seemed bothersome, and she might've needed an escape from all that. Shaking his head at the notion of Ruri being a crazy girl, he couldn't help but grin ever so slightly as he walked back home. Perhaps Daisuke would cook him some food if he asked him kindly. Or perhaps he'd kick Kanajiro's ass for making him do stupid stuff like that. His grin grew and he started marching home, hands in his jacket and his eyes locking with the sky.
~~~~~~~~~~

The next morning.

Kanajiro woke up at 8.00 AM sharp, took a quick 5 minute shower, brushed his teeth and then got dressed. It was around 8:10 when he got downstairs where he made breakfast for himself, as he didn't want to bother a servant with such mundane tasks. Matter of fact, he preffered if the servants didn't do anything at all for him, but Rei had insisted that they help him around sometimes. His breakfast was quite healthy, consisting of an apple, two banana's and some soup. He'd pour some orange juice as well, simply cause he liked it.

Today should be a good day, he decided as he put on his jacket over his black fish-net T-shirt. Something about today made him happy, perhaps because he was finally gonna do something rather than sit inside and handle political affairs regarding the family. Ruri had mentioned the fifth training grounds, and Kanajiro guessed that he'd have Kariru as his sensei. He believed she was the drunk, but he wasn't sure since there were a few Granite Guards and he had never really met any other that the two recently deceased Guards. Regardless, it'd be an interesting experience.

He closed the jacket and strapped the straps together, before leaving at around 8:30. The trainingfields were only a short while away from the Hanamoto estate, approximately 8-10 minutes walk. When he got there he looked over to the other field where he'd see Hiroto and Reiji doing their own little thing. He thought about going to say hi but he didn't really know either of them except for their names and some memorable stuff they did in classes -- they were alright, but neither of them seemed to be extremely remarkable in any way. It'd seem like Kanajiro was the first, which somewhat bothered him cause he wanted to know who was in his team.

"Sensei!." Kyou couldn't finish what she was suppose to say and with work at hand, she couldn't really focus because she was filing the ledger of accounts for yesterday's paperwork. To that, Kyou is only able to gauge out few details, Sensei, Ayumi, Date, 4PM. All that detail was boggled up like her shogi set. Kyou drank her tea, and thought over what Sensei meant a while ago. "OHH!!!! I have a date with a girl at 4 PM?!! What the heck! I'm not into that type of relationsho but... whatever! It's not like I asked for this or anything!!." She blushed as she was paranoid for what is coming for her. She quickly get dressed, as usual it was her white outfit and pick up her swords and quickly wrote a letter for the shop owner. "I'll be back." Just like that.
Flash forward to the "date", Kyou once again is 10 minutes late as usual, even in the funeral she was late. She got the stash along with her, and approached the girl , Kyou stopped briefly, recalling something, "Isn't she familiar?" She thought but brush it off. "Hello! You must be Ayumi." What do you know, she's not so confident based on her speech pattern. "I'm Kyou, your teammate. It's a pleasure to meet you. L-L-L-LET'S get on with our date." She bowed to her and it really was embarrasing for her to do that.
Ayumi sat in the booth alone drinking pitcher after pitcher of water. She guzzled down as much water as she could get, it was kind of a Hozuki thing. But before long she saw that here new teammate had arrived in the restaurant, she adjusted herself in her seat to sit up right. The girl introduced herself as Kyou and bowed deeply, her hair falling forward in front of her face. Ayumi motioned for the girl to sit down across from her in the booth with a kind smile.
"I'm Ayumi you might recognize me from the academy, we both graduated this year." Ayumi said pouring herself a glass of water. "So, this is kind of weird, an odd suggestion to be sure, but I say we should just go with it, besides Kami probably knows best." Ayumi said glancing at the glass before picking it up and downing it with one huge gulp. "So let's see, I'm more of a supportive fighter right now, I'm originally from Kirigakure, though I can assure you that isn't a problem and I managed to graduate with honors." Ayumi said stroking her own ego a little, but she wanted to highlight the fact that she was a hard worker.
Kyouka played along, more like... enlightened with the information given, at first she thought that Ayumi would be like everyone else, weird actions and Kekkei Genkai addicts but it was all fine. A support fighter and she's from Kirigakure, not odd at all. Kyou remembered that her Father had few trips to the land of waves time to time. She sat down and listened to Ayumi's full introduction.
"That's cool, Ayumi. Yeah! I recognize you from the academy." She thought deeper, she's very familiar, a customer maybe? People I talked to randomly? She sighed. Continuing with the date, she introduced herself. "My full name is Kyouka Hasegawa, everybody calls me Kyou and I like it that way, it's easier to say. I'm a commoner here, and my Father is a Businessman, he's not around all the time. OHH!!!! That's amazing, honor graduate!." She died in the inside despite having high grades back in the academy, she blamed herself for having fights with the boys perhaps that was one of the reason she didn't have such honors.
She coughed. "I got your back! I'm a ranged fighter, and I assure you! You won't get any hassle from our opponents!" She said while being all fired up. "So, what's up?." Kyou asked Ayumi with a girlish tone. She died in the inside again, "That's what I get for being boyish."
Ayumi listened intently to the girl, all the while downing glass after glass of water. "I see, so you're a ranged fighter, I wonder how Kami will decide to train us then." Ayumi said quietly, almost under her breath. It was nice to see her new teammate had a large amount of enthusiasm. That'd help, especially on the battlefield with Kami's awkwardness and Ayumi's almost dead silence on the battle field. At least someone would speak. She glanced over to Kyou once more, the girl seemed to be relaxed, which was welcomed.
"This is pretty much the only thing that's up save for the invitation to the Granite Guard, that's something else." Ayumi said, her voice full of wonderment. She couldn't quite define her excitement, but it was incredible for her. "I've pretty much just been training since the funeral ended, that's when Kami dropped by." Ayumi stated matter-of-factly, she never reffered to her instructor with any honnorific. She didn't know what else to say, which she could only really blame on the situation.
"So I suppose this is kind of odd, huh?" Ayumi said with an awkward giggle glancing around at the restaurant, it had a very local essence about it, she liked that. "This whole date to get to know each other thing?"
"Granite Guard! So that's about it." Kyou on the outside may look confident but on the inside, she was more or less awkward with herself. True to that, she's a ranged fighter with swords of course, close to mid range is her best. Kyou's delighted to see Ayumi changed expressions. What else, she thought. She got no idea what Kami can do and based on Ayumi, she probably is a Hozuki.
"As for me, I've been training too much..... having multiple part time jobs helps build good rapport, good relations with people. That would make me have spy like skills right?" But then she mentioned the whole "date" which smacked right back to her face, it was bad enough for Kyou to say it herself but with Ayumi saying it, just awkward.
"Yeah, I know! So what do you wanna do now?" She asked.

『Kami Suugo』

Kami suddenly appeared in front of the two girls, with a somewhat excited look on his face. He grabbed both of the girls their arms, and dragged them along. As he passed the counter he grabbed a wad of coupons for the restaurant and threw them over the counter. He probably just wasted about 6 or 7 coupons but he didn't seem to mind. Being dragged outside and all the way to the village gate, it would take some time before what he was doing. Kami stopped dead in his tracks once he did realize though, and stood there for a full second. “Kami.. you can't.. drag pretty girls along by their arms.. forcefully...” he thought, slowly turning around to face the two girls and slowly releasing their arms in the progress.

He dropped to his knees and bowed deeply before them. “E-excuse my rough b-be-behavior!” he said to them, with an extremely sincere and apologetical voice. He would bow before them until they'd recognise his apology and accept it. After that he'd got up, his expression saying that he was quite shook that he just grabbed them like that. “S-sorry! But we have an u-urgent mission! W-we have to g-go now.” He'd not even told them their mission yet when he headed out the village gate.

The road ahead was a long one, because they had to go to the great Sebaru Cliff, a cliff that had been created by Sebaru Markor during one of his training sessions. It was.. quite gigantic. And it was also a fair distance from Iwagakure, because where ever the Tsuchikage trained he left behind giant craters, mountains and cliffs, so he naturally had to distance himself a bit lest he destroy the entire village with an earthquake. During the walk there which would take about an hour in total, after letting the two genin collect their neccesary tools, he would explain what the mission was all about.

“Kyou, A-Ayumi, p-please pay attention. T-this is your f-first mission... and we need to s-succeed. L-long ago t-two of my masterpiece p-puppet concepts got s-stolen by Kirigakure s-shi-shinobi.” It was rather obvious that he was nervous, but not because of the mission but because he was leading two genin, who were only a year younger than him. And they were girls. Kami was freaked out in a social sense. “F-finally the int-intelligence corps has r-recovered their locations b-but has failed to ex-extract them.”

By now they had arrived at the cliff, which was a giant ravine. Peering over the edge, the team would see the 2 puppets laying at the bottom untouched, in a serene environment. On either side of the ravine were forests, which gave excellent cover for anyone trying to hide themselves from the team. “H-hai! Since y-you are just gen-genin, we won't d-do anything more e-exciting than this. You need to l-learn what a mission is and h-h-how it works. P-please, grab the pup-”

Kami was loudly interrupted by someone on the other side, laughing throughout the entire talk Kami gave them. “HA-HA-HA-HAAAAA! LOOK, IT'S KAMI THE STUTTERER.” he yelled loudly as he pointed to the other side. The weirdest part was that he was talking to someone that wasn't even there. The man was wearing a mask over his face, covering his nose and mouth. Another prominent feature was the fact that he wore a Kirigakure headband and had a lot of other villages' headband tied to one of his belt-loops. Perhaps they were trophies. “AND WHAT'S THAT? TWO GENIN? IS IWAGAKURE TOO POOR TO MAKE TEAMS OF FOUR, SO THEY PUT TWO GENIN IN A TEAM?” he said while he laughed even harder. Meanwhile three Kirigakure genin drooped out of the bushes, angry at their sensei for blowing their cover by talking so loud.

“Goura-sensei.. why did you blow our cover like that.. you baaaka.” one said. He wore shorts and a fishnet shirt, totally not matching the standard attire for Shinobi. The other two Kirigakure Shinobi were Kunoichi, and seemed to be twins. One had a single ponytail on the left side of her head, the other had a ponytail on the right side of her head. They seemed rather shy and didn't say anything at all, but focussed their attention on Kami and his team. Goura-sensei focussed his attention on the genin that had called him a baka. “Oi, you brat.. why do you have to disrespect me, Goura of Kirigakure. I killed more shinobi than you have, so respect me!” The 'brat' simply scoffed and raised his shoulders, focussing on Kami and his team instead. “Yo, Kami of the Suugo clan. We know all about you and your stupid mission, but we are here to stop you and take your stupid baka-puppets. So just go away now.” Again, Goura sensei seemed to be angry at the brat. “Goga, you're supposed to let me do the talking! ME! GOURA OF KIRIGAKURE. I WILL EXTERMINATE THIS KAMI SUUGO! MEEEEEEEE!”

Goga, the genin, simply slapped his head while the two Kunoichi giggled. “Goga-san, you are so strong and powerful! Please kill this Kami Suugo for us!” they said in unison. His jonin seemed to be mentally challenged, and Kami couldn't help but feel a bit bad for Goga. But on the other hand, the headbands on his belt loop were testimony to the fact that this man was a good fighter. Kami looked back towards his team to test their mettle. He was unwilling to let the puppets be taken by Kirigakure, but if he felt that the two Kunoichi in his team weren't up for the fight, he'd tell them to go back to Iwagakure quickly. He was sure he'd be able to handle this Kirigakure team on his own using his Sebaru Markor puppet. But on the other hand, Kyou and Ayumi seemed to be able kunoichi, and Kami was quite sure Kyou would bad-mouth the Kirigakure team anyway. “A-Ayumi, K-Kyou, p-please.. if you w-wish to h-help me in this fight, y-you are free to. O-otherwise.. go b-back to Iwagakure.”

But the enemy team wasn't having none of that. “What a shitty sensei, Goga-san. You must be HAPPY to have me for a sensei, GOURA-SENSEI. The most powerful shinobi in Kirigakure! Are you impressed with me yet?” Once again Goga-san slapped his head and the two Kunoichi giggled as they waited for Kyou and Ayumi to decide what the plan would be. But Kami was sure they'd understand the importance of these two puppets, if not for the village then for Kami personally. These puppets were his masterworks after all, and Kyou and Ayumi were sure to understand that.

Goga-san, Goura-sensei and the two Kunoichi twins didn't seem too strong but team Kami was definetely outnumbered, and Kami was a supportive fighter, fighting from the backrows. It was likely that he would be fighting the Jonin mostly, so that left the three genin for Kyou and Ayumi.

Hayashi Junnimaru

Hayashi had awakened at about noon, when his father told him that a lady, a member of the Granite Guard had come by their door, knocked on it, and then written in the sand outside of the door where Hayashi was supposed to meet her, Hayashi's father had almost sweeped the sand away before he realized it said something. Hayashi blinked twice before he realized what was going on. He was one of the ones that were going to become a member of the Guard. This was everything he dreamed off, and more. Maybe his dreams could yet be realized. Hayashi dashed out of his bed, and continued to get dressed while almost tumbling down the stairs from his room, going down to the bottom floor with still only one leg into his pants. He jumped into the air a few feet and put the other leg into the pants, landing on the ground with a light thud.

Hayashi put on his black shirt and his brown jacket and headed out the door, when his father stopped him. "Hey, Hayashi! I almost forgot, your teacher told you you were supposed to spar with another boy, Kanajiro Hannamoto, he's one of the noblemen, leader of his clan, I think. Please son, don't beat him up too much. We've got more than enough influential people on our case." His father told Hayashi, whom nodded and waved goodbye "I get it dad, I'll go easy. Take care and see you later!" He said to his father, moving away from their house, running towards Training Field five.

When he got to the field he scouted the field, looking around the field, and at the other fields, on the other field he saw some other genin practicing with their teachers, but when the black haired boy's eyes looked over his own field, he saw only the white haired head of the Hannamoto clan. No sensei to be seen. Hayashi used the flicker technique to get up into a tree looking over the field, making sure that his adversary had not yet seen him. He weaved his handseals, and felt how his right arm started to get slightly heavier, the metals in his blood stream started to clot around his muscles and skin, making him stronger and more durable.

He then leaped out of the trees towards Kanajiro, his hand pulled behind his head for a as powerful punch as possible as he would come crashing down on his soon to be teammate.

Kanajiro Hanamoto

Kanajiro was standing at the trainingfield for about an hour or 3 already and was about to go to Ruri's house to beat her up for giving him the wrong time, or playing a cruel joke, when he noticed something from the corner of his eye. Hayashi, that idiot from the Junnimaru clan, was jumping from a tree with his fist coming for Kanajiro. He hadn't even seen the boy until moments before his wild attack on Kanajiro. But he made a crucial mistake.

Kanajiro would step towards the boy's jumping arc, extend his own arm to catch the fist. He'd slide back a few inches as he catched it due to the force and power that Hayashi would've put in the attack. Unknowing that Hayashi would've strengthened his muscles and skin, the attack came harder than Kanajiro expected. After that he'd grab Hayashi by the shoulder with his free hand, making sure to hold on to his clothes tightly and twist his body, throwing the boy over his shoulder. If he'd manage this, he'd send his own fist plummeting into the boys face before jumping back. “You piece of... what's gotten into your head Hayashi, attacking me like that. Didn't your parents tell you that jumping is the worst way to begin an attack? Once you are flying through the sky you can't change the direction you're going in, baaaka.” He said as he slid through the dust.

But he wouldn't give the initiative to Hayashi once again, because that'd mean that he'd be pushed into a corner that he didn't like: defensive fighting wasn't his strong suit. And that aside.. Kanajiro was reckless and was quite sure he'd take Hayashi's hits quite well any way. “Besides, I'm waiting for my sensei and my team mate. So get out of here, you heap of garbage.” He'd grin at Hayashi -- he didn't mean it, but bad mouthing your opponent could be a good thing sometimes.

Kanajiro started forming seals for his own technique, before inhaling and then blowing out -- he sent a great fireball towards Hayashi, in an attempt to cover him in flames. After that he'd run into the flames himself, memorizing where Hayashi had been before the attack. The last thing Hayashi would expect in a whirl of flames was a fist in the face, and that was exactly what Kanajiro was planning to do, pulling his arm back and sent it towards the space where he thought Hayashi would be.

Hayashi Junnimaru

Hayashi saw Kanajiro advance on him as he was in the air, he wasn't surprised, he knew full well how good a student Kanajiro had been in class, and to be taken by such a impulsive ambush would've been very much so unlike Kanajiro. As Hayashi landed on the ground, the rock surface he landed on dented under the force of his punch, but Kanajro grabbed him by the arm, and through an impressive feat of strength threw the steel-enhanced Hayashi over himself, but Kanajiro didn't really take Hayashi's increased weight into account, making the boy land where Kana didn't expect it, rendering his punch towards Hayashi's face useless, as the boy could easily just sway his head in the other direction.

"Tssh. Just lucky that I didn't crush you, Kana." Hayashi barked back as Kanajiro jumped backwards, Hayashi grabbed a couple of shuriken and threw at the Hanamoto as the fire came at him, Hayashi charged at Kanajiro as he had to remain on the offense, he crossed his arms in front of his face, the steel enhancement protecting him from the fire making it only slightly pain him instead of giving him real burns. As Kanajiro would come into Hayashi's field of view, Hayashi would send a double cross-punch from his crossed arms towards Kanajiro's shoulders, aiming to hitting his collar bones. Hayashi felt Kanajiro's fist hit him in the stomach, as the Junnimaru had the slightly higher ground on Kanajiro, he rolled on the ground wincing in pain a little bit after their clash, making one roll on the ground he was back on his feet and throwing a kunai at Kanajiro.

"Come on Kana. Ain't you some big shot who's supposed to be better than everyone else? Your punch was weaker than my little sister's, and she's four!" Hayashi taunted at the boy, preparing his counter-attack for Kana's next offensive move.

Reiji Hagashi -- The Training Grounds

Reiji was glad that Hiroto at least acknowledged his presence as his teammate also lifted his chin in greeting. Then Hiroto turned from him and continued his training. This irked Reiji only slightly. Just because he did not start the conversation did not mean that he did not want to talk. It's just that he did not know what to talk about. The Genin smirked, so be it. He knew that Hiroto was a clown, and had quite the temper. Reiji prayed that the guy could be mature when the time called for it, or he has going to go insane. He did have some kind of respect for him, Hiroto had the determination to be one a ninja even when his clan wasn't even inclined to become ninjas. Reiji had just decided to introduce himself but he smelled a new presence, and turned to see his new sensei, Kyuko.

Well shit, did she have to be so beautiul? Why would they match up her with two teenage guys? Reiji kept his eyes on her face, using every ounce of willpower he had. Kyoko introduced her self and revealed her Sharingan. He internally shuttered a little but shook it off. Reiji was impressed by how much of a "no bullshit" kind of person she was. Boy was she in for a surprise, having to teach Hiroto. Then, as if right on cue, Hiroto opened his big mouth. "So basically, your specialty is mind-fucking people, right?" Hiroto said, Reiji actually face palmed. "For fuck's sake," he muttered. Reiji scoffed at Hiroto when he introduced himself, why did he have to be partnered with him? The Genin sighed, "I'm Reiji of the Higashi clan." After that he fell silent, that was all he had to say.

Suddenly a fight broke out between the douche, Kanajiro, and another guy from the academy. His name was... What was it... Hayashi! Reiji paused the watch the fight. While watching he observed Kanajiro, hoping to find some sort of weakness. The only thing he could come up with was two ideas to defeat him if he ever fought him. Hayashi was also a pretty good fighter also. Reiji hoped to test his skills against them one day. Hiroto wasn't worth his time, he wanted to go against his rival. That stuck up Kanajiro, the leader of his clan. Reiji would have to wait until he was strong enough for him to become leader. He would have to surpass his father. Reiji turned back to his sensei and Hiroto, hopefully she could at least make him stronger.

Minoru Maki

Snap! A target hanging on the side of a spiraling, skyward column suddenly had an arrow sticking through it.

From fifty yards away, Minoru was pleased to see his placement. His skills were steadily getting sharper, both in craftsmanship and accuracy. Before he'd be off to meet up with his new sensei and teammate, he was sticking to his regular program of early morning shooting on his handcrafted range. Not letting the small victory get to his head, he slipped a second arrow in place and fired. Without seeing the result, he launched another. Then two more. Three at a time. Again. And he was finished.

Skipping across a tiled roof, he built up speed before taking a charging leap over the space between the closest building. With his legs swinging beside him, he cleared the parapet and tumbled into a continued run. Hanging his bow over his back, he climbed an uneven stone wall, which led to the column holding his target. Tugging on a lever, he set a pulley system in motion that lowered the target like a curtain.

"Hmm.. been better." Under close inspection, he saw that most of his secondary shots narrowly missed their marks. Which wasn't that bad, on a live enemy they still would've left a nasty injury, but for the purposes of morning training it was... merely satisfactory. Ah well, better get going. Before he'd started his training, his mother told him where to meet with his sensei and teammate. Collecting his arrows, he took a stone out of his pocket to sharpen them before returning them to his quiver. Hanging his target once more, he set off to go see what life held in store.
Daisuke Hanamoto

Left, right, duck, swipe, left, swipe, stab! Daisuke was hard at work, doing combat against a bwooden training dummy rigged to spin. It tested reflexes, resolve, and, more than anything else, patience. No matter how many times he managed to stab it, it would never be defeated, therefore he figured it was perfect for keeping himself sharp. His white hair, sweat saturated, stuck to his forehead, a large tuft flapping over the center of his skull as he evaded.

But looking at a clock shocked him, he had places to be! Taking a final stab, he pulled his kunai from the dummy and pocketed it, throwing his bloodied practice shirt to the floor before running to take a shower and clean up. Having done his hair to his satisfaction, he grabbed a yellow jacket and a pair of oak toned pants before snatching his gear and running off. His feet carried him like a ball rolling down a hill.

Minutes later, he arrived at a monument, seeing one person in particular, Ruri's servant. That could be only mean one thing: She's here too. Silently cursing himself, he walked over near the servant before turning his attention away from him and to the girl she was sure accompanied him. "... Hello, Ruri. Haven't seen you for a while." Brat. He hadn't actually been in contact with her for a short while now, but he readily acknowledged that all good things must come to an end.

Masaki Haruna OLD TESTAMENT

Member Seen 8 yrs ago

A mirror reflects the person's well being, what my old man would say. Ayumi is totally my opposite, I use fire and I assume she uses water. Kami.... this guy seriously gives me the creeps, I almost got a heart attack when he popped out of nowhere and dragged us all the way for a mission! I am so going to make my merchandise on a high price for him if he does that again! I can't even talk! I feel like a cat whose hanging from a tree! Sensei is so unpredictable and certainly not a gentleman! Finally we stopped.

I let out all my fears and cast it upon Sensei. "SENSEI! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK AND I AM SO GOING TO BAN YOU FROM ANY SHOP THAT RELATES TO ME AND MY FATHER!" Just a thought, anyhow why would I even say something disrespectful? What I'm about to say will be something different and of course, a Kunoichi must show no complaints and fear, it is better to keep my comments to myself. I looked at Ayumi, she looked like as if she's out of juice, dehydrated of course. Perhaps my theory is true that she is in fact a water style user and she did say she's from the Mist. From what I see, this land is beautiful and abundant. It is rich in resources and rare ones too. Judging from where we are, Ayumi has the elemental advantage. Why do I think she's a water style user? The way she behaves is weird and the way she plays with water during our date! Well, every Kiri Ninja is a water style user so monkey see, monkey follow.

Kami-sensei is out of breath more or less rather he is nervous;“Kyou, A-Ayumi, p-please pay attention. T-this is your f-first mission... and we need to s-succeed. L-long ago t-two of my masterpiece p-puppet concepts got s-stolen by Kirigakure s-shi-shinobi.” . I decided not to interrupt his briefing and from the looks of it it is dangerous. “F-finally the int-intelligence corps has r-recovered their locations b-but has failed to ex-extract them.” Kami said, detailing what he knew about the mission at hand for us. What I think? He is so careless for letting his precious toys screw loose. We take another route, all the way down to the ravine. This is my second time to the Mist. My Father brought me here during his summer project of constructing a bridge. Then we meet a Genin, they are a 3 man cell with their Sensei making them four. Just how poor is our country they ask? No, not at all, our country isn't poor.

Ayumi! What?! Did I just see a clone of me just charged and fight them head on?! Seriously?! Actually I take that back. We are not so different........

I sighed, "That's what I wanna see. I'm all fired up!". I quickly take out my dual swords and gather up my chakra. I did a chakra jump all the way down. I launched my other sword to the other guy, that other guy looks ugly. My other sword, I made it miss for a purpose and I'll get onto that later.

I land on Ayumi's position. "Hmph! While I hate to take orders from others. I would make yours a special order." I thought to myself. But then......

I was shocked! I was about to do something cool and just said something cool. She's a water style user and hydrification? A Hozuki, no doubt.

"Ayumi. That's enough. I'll take it from here." Sheesh... I can't let her have all the fun! Would I? But then again it is her village, and by going with this logic. By default, she takes the limelight!

Kami Suugo

Kami watched as the two of them jumped down the ravine, followed by the three genin on the other side following suit. Surely, this would end badly for the two genin. But seemingly Ayumi got the drop on one of the twins, whom was now gargling on her own blood slowly dying from 'drowing in her own blood.' And she said something about being from Kirigakure. Kami's mind wondered if she might've been the one to steal the puppets but he quickly righted himself. She'd have been a 8 year old carrying the puppets, which was basically impossible.

After the short exchange of combat and words at the bottom of the ravine, Kami looked over at their jonin. It seemed now was the time to show Ayumi and Kyou what he could do, and what had earned him the title of Granite Guard. He pulled out a scroll, laid it down on the floor and bit his thumb before smacking it on the scroll. A poof, and a figure appearing within it. After the smoke settled one could see Kami had already attached the chakra strings which came from his fingers. The Sebaru Markor puppet, one of his best at this moment. Or well, it was also his only remaining puppet from the conflict against Kirigakure which had seemed to have taken a bit of a slowdown lately as both villages recuperated their losses. The Sebaru puppet, based after the Tsuchikage, looked exactly alike and even had the same build as the Tsuchikage.

But Kami wouldn't waste time adoring his puppet -- he sprung into action and made his puppet jump over the ravine, crossing a distance of +-20 meters in one go. The jonin laughed. “FIGHT ME WITH A PUPPET? ARE YOU A GIRL?!” he shouted. But the puppet had moved in fast, and swung up his leg towards the jonins face. He moved one of his hands to the puppet's leg, catching it. And now he'd learn the power of Sebaru Markor. The shockwave generators kicked in and the following shockwave would've been enough to normally cause an earthquake. But the power went through the Jonins body instead, sending him flying off to the right. He hit a tree, and then another, and then another. What followed could be quite detrimental to the people in the ravine, however, as the shockwave had seemingly escaped into the ground a bit as well. Slowly the edges of the ravine crumbled, and Kami quickly pulled Sebaru back to a safer position.

But the ravines edges cracked and big stones and large collections of earth flew towards the people in the ravine. Perhaps fighting at the bottom of a ravine, with no plan, and no knowledge of eachothers power, was not such a good idea.

At the bottom of the ravine however, the remaining twin girl and Goga-san stood across the two Iwagakure nin. And they didn't seem too happy, what with the gurgling, dying twin at the center of the group. The girl crossed her fingers and started up a technique. “Morphing technique!” she yelled, which sounded more like a screech from a 14 year old girl. Her eyes had become twisted and angry, most likely due to her sister being killed. The technique morphed her body, and while there wasn't much shape to it at first, you could quickly make out she had morphed into a gigantic wolf. Meanwhile, Goga-san stood by watching the two of them, maintaining his cool composure and making sure to look calm and cool.

But by now they'd spotted the falling rocks and dirt and quickly moved -- instead of running or jumping to the side though they jumped up, using the falling dirt as plateau's to climb higher and higher. After they'd reached the 'end of the rock-fall' they'd jump forwards, going in for an attack at the same time. Goga-san prepared a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it and threw it at Ayumi, exploding it when it came near, while the twin girl, who had morphed into a wolf, jumped to Kyou and landed near her, immediatly snapping her jaws at Kyou and attempting to bite her arm.

Kanajiro Hanamoto

Suddenly the sensei appeared and she did some basic introductions. It seemed she was a medical and taijutsu expert -- a combo that wasn't uncommon. But to be a Granite Guard she'd have to be stronger than your average medical nin. It wasn't crazy to assume therefore that she had a few taijutsu tricks up her sleeve. “I'm not a little leader.” Kanajiro answered, flashing an annoyed look at Kariru while he let himself be healed. He could feel the bruisings and the soreness dissapearing, but he felt as if he should slap her hand away for not asking him if she could heal them.

“And my biggest mistake was that I didn't burn down the tree you were hiding in. You could've atleast told me that Hayashi would be going to attack me.” He said all this with a rather annoyed voice. “Another mistake was not ending the fight when I could've, instead dragging it out longer to have some fun with Hayashi. If I ended it right there and then we would've been done sooner.” He seemed somewhat self assured that he could've won this fight, but he recognised that Hayashi was probably thinking the same. Truth be told, they both had had moments where they could've ended it, but where they just didn't or chose not to. It seems like that'd be a stupid thing to do in real fights. He continued looking at Kariru as he got healed, waiting for the reaction she'd inevitably give him. And because sensei's were always predictable, she'd probably ask Hayashi what mistakes he had made, too.

Xavimaru Kishimoto

Xavi sat at the monument waiting for his students, the first one to arrive was Ruri, on a carriage, too posh to walk. She looked around, not aware that the blonde man sitting next to the monument was the man who had summoned her. Instead, she was just walking around, looking bored. Serves the little brat right to have to wait.. Xavi thought, with a grin. Soon, the other student, the Hanamoto boy, Daisuke would come. The white haired boy were also heading to the monument, but before he could get there, he saw the girl, Ruri. Xavi smirked, as he rose up and walked away from the monument, and instead headed towards the store on the other side of the street, The shoopkeeper greeting him as "Master Kishimoto" as Xavi looked at the inventory of the shop. Xavi smiled as he picked up a coat and put it out and walked out of the door, the shopkeeper thanking him for his business.

The Beige coat Xavi had picked up was just like the old one he wore, but had gotten ruined on his last mission, so he figured he had to keep up his appearance to his new students. He approached the two genin as they were talking to one another. "Sup Kiddos." Xavi saying, nodding at the two, not really careing for a response.

"Follow me" He said, walking away from the two, until he got to an abandoned street, where all of the houses looked old and damaged, the windows were all boarded up and the houses were empty. [b]"This is street that's marked to get torn apart so that we can build new houses here. But before that happens, we are going to use it for my little test. In case you didn't know, My name is Xavimaru Kishimoto, of the Granite Guard and secret weapon of the Hidden Stone village. Unlike my fellow Guards who will have some silly test for you two to get introduced to each other, I want the two of you to fight each other in these street, head on. Why? Simple. I will only accept one pupil, and I only want the best. You have five minutes on you, and if both of you are still standing, I'm not gonna train either of you, and I won't have to deal with either of your asses."

Xavi told the two, as he took a few steps backwards. "But please, try not to kill each other.. Too much. Lord Tsuchikage would be quite upset with me if my students killed each other on their first day." Xavi motioned with his hand 'go' as he used the body flicker technique to get out of sight.

Ruri Zuodian

She had her arms crossed and grew quickly impatient as she was expecting her future sensei to be the formal type, wearing official Granite Guard uniforms she'd probably find lacking in taste, hence why so many common individuals would appear unnoticed to her. But a sudden familiar voice roamed in the air which solicited her attention. It was familiar in a sense that it reminded her of Kanajiro but only some aspects of the time she could spend with him, yet couldn't pinpoint what exactly. Surely it wasn't too important and voices can sound similar after all. She'd turn to face the source of the voice and as a reaction to glancing for the first time at her new teammate, she'd simply scrutinize Daisuke's entire body with her eyes. After a second of silence, she'd chuckle upon looking at him straight at the face, arms still crossed and a mocking tone quickly possessing the fluidity of her speech.

"Wow, you suck if that's the best you've got to say hello to a lady. I assume we're going to be in a forced relationship if you're here for the same reasons I am. Pity, I was hoping at least a well placed Hanamoto would accompany me in this perilo-..."

She had stopped her more than insulting babbling about her tastes in colleagues as their newly suited Sensei had entered the scene with a quick but effective introduction. Of course such a lack of class made Ruri cringe inside, but at least he was wearing hat appeared to be new clothes. And he didn't smell bad. She couldn't say the same about Daisuke however, he looked like he had trained like a tryhard this morning just to show off to the new boss. Before Ruri could have an adequate response, the sensei had already ordered them to follow him as he walked away. She quickly turned to face Daisuke with an eyebrow raised and her shoulders shrugging to display he lack of belief as to what just happened. At least she wasn't the only one with a somewhat sassy behavior, but she only liked it when it was her that did it, not others.

They arrived at some ugly place where the adult started to talk about the status of the area, of course it didn't interest Ruri one bit as she simply contented herself to follow him and stop where he stopped. She could see similar graffiti on the walls of the old, abandoned houses which marked their future renovation through demolition. They were the mark of Ruri's father's activity, where his business would reach to give jobs to locals who desperately needed some money and sank low enough to ask the Zuodians for help, so of course Ruri would know what this place was. He then talked about himself, Ruri couldn't help but roll her eyes and sigh really deeply when he mentioned being some bogus secret weapon. Although she hasn't directly seen it, the Tsuchikage's power appeared to be much more intimidating than anything this weirdo could stack up.

The final part of the man's discourse was hitting a subject Ruri really appreciated: Fighting. Of course, his little threats about taking only one of the two was pretty snicker worthy considering one pupil was a Zuodian and another was a Hanamoto, the kind of people you don't just dispose of out of ridiculous claims. If Ruri had known he was from the land of wind and the desert village, she would have simply mocked Xavi and dismissed everything as childish lies. But as the theme of fighting each other got stronger, Ruri couldn't really hold herself ; while neither of the students were in battle positions and the kids weren't too far apart, Ruri took advantage of that by sliding a shuriken that was hidden in her sleeve down to her hand and immediately hurled it toward Daisuke without fair warning or even a look at him. She simply quickly turned to face him, and in that same action, threw the shuriken toward the center of his chest. She originally aimed for the abdomen, but the chest would have to do, after all she did got for the element of surprise.

"Does Dead but still in one piece count, Sensei?"

She asked with obvious sadism flowing out of her intentions. As her throw was over, she had already taken an aggressive stance with a kunai bearing a paper bomb around its handle in her right hand. She wasn't one for killing for free, but her teacher had inserted some stakes that somewhat nullified that moral restriction she had and simply put her in wartime conditions. If she could, she'd kill Daisuke just to assert herself as the better pupil, though of course she wouldn't kill him if he gave up or wouldn't be able to fight. She may be sadistic, but her upbringing has brought to resist certain urges that could get her in situations where she wouldn't be able to release her sadistic tendencies any longer.
