Oh my God, those giant rats were absurdly powerful for being... rats.

Yeah, they kinda were, even though you quickly get to where they're nothing more than a nuisance. I still think Morrowind's tied with Skyrim even with its dated mechanics. I have to be one of the few people that wasn't too impressed by Oblivion.

I'll go ahead and vote for Hyrule, since I'm more familiar with that.

Okay, that's two for Hyrule, three for Skyrim (or just any old Elder Scrolls location without caring what it is), and one who doesn't care.

I'd say Dark Souls, but the powerlevel dealings there are generally too low. Every PC is reasonably powerful, and the monsters in DS are relatively weak.

Ninja Gaiden is chock full of monsters, demons, and demigod ninjas. Read the lore.

Dragon's Dogma has a steady supply of fairly strong monsters in addition to being one of the few video games to do dragons really well. For the same reasons, however, I'm not sure we can mess around there too much because LORE; it's got its own parallel world thing going on and I'm not sure it'd tie into here easily.

We could also try our hand messing around in Warhammer 40k, but I don't think we could even survive 40k. Like, TPK in under 24 hours after arrival.

You'd be surprised with WH40k. As I mentioned before, we have enough combined power to tear entire worlds apart, but it only ever happened once with the antagonists.

If the entire party combined only has the power of about one exterminatus, we're not ready for 40k.

What Bee said pretty much. We'd be fucked if we pissed a single faction off, nevermind that our very nature would cause pretty much everyone to target us automatically. I'm not big on 40k powerwank but our party'd be screwed unless we like, stuck to a single planet without involving the rest of the universe and maybe secured an alliance, however flimsy, with a faction to ensure that we don't get attacked by everyone at once.

As for universes, pretty much anything is fine. I'd dig doing less obvious picks, though. Like, I don't have a problem with Skyrim or Dark Souls (Hyrule's kinda meh but I don't dislike it) but going somewhere less familiar would be cool IMO. Though since Idon't have any particular suggestions and I'm not really up for GMing anything I can't really complain about world picks now can I?

Personally, I'd say get the game going. But..if we're throwing out suggestions..batman/dc. FMA: brotherhood, hellsing ultimate (or the abridged, for lols) and, of course, Dragon age. Perhaps during inquisition, or origins. Heck, we could split it into two visits.

Since we're breaking canon, couldn't we do something that goes down before Origins? Some other Blight, the ones referred in the tales of old with more heroic flair, perhaps? Same with Hellsing, Hellsing's alright, but we could visit the time where Alucard and Walter were fighting Nazi Vampires in full-blown WW2 warfare, for instance.

Zero's right. Hellsing: the Dawn is unfinished. You could easily get away with fighting all sorts of undead Nazi experiments.

Keep in mind, anything, and I mean anything, on the internet is fair game. We've even had someone suggest Wikipedia as a world to go to, which, quite frankly, I'd like to do just to figure out how that would work.

Now I'm thinking of how funny it'd be of the presence of the Avatars is what lead to the creation of Millennium.

The Last Battalion was started as a research project to create undead soldiers using Alucard (or more specifically, Mina Harker) as a basis.
None of us are even undead. The best you can get out of us would be, like, some research from scraps that fell off of Bee's cyber-arm.
