Maybe the information is out there, sure, but... Keep in mind most of that stuff is digital in our world. After so much time left without maintenance and power, the generators would be useless, and the computers housing such information would be near inaccessible. And even if you did access the computers, would you know the passwords to get such classified material? Would you have the hacking expertise to get through the machine's firewalls? Would the hard drive be intact?

Maybe there is a machine in perfect state out there somewhere, but I doubt it's unprotected by firewalls and a huge password!

Also, what Fallen said. I rather enjoy the Fantasy setting we're in now. I don't think it's necessary to add guns or any kind of advanced technology!

I'm not saying I want guns, I'm just saying it's technically possible. All my character's/future ideas are all Melee fighters.

Granted, it was a breach-loaded rifle that was more akin to a boomstick, but the gun wasn't the important factor: It was the bullets. These ain't your grandpa's ball-and-power, this was legit lead, shell, and primer stuff. Stuff that caused a sever allergic reaction in demons, due to their weakness towards acute mythril poisoning.

Well, closest thing coming to that is a sort of small entryway, with something explody on one side backed against a hard surface, and a lot of stuff between it and the only exit out. Now if that explody thing happened to explode, well, all that stuff would come out, see, and Karnage see's that and he's like "That's cool! But how can we do that again..." And so he makes a cannon. Than Lucilia see's it and she's like "Compensating for something? It needs to be more compact..." And so and and so forth.

About the only one that has anything close to a gun would be Zaad, namely cause I can't find any other weapon to fit his history. Not to mention it's a one shot at time type and likely to miss then hit sometimes. :p

I personally don't care about guns, but Lucius does have a good point. If this world has things that explode forcefully enough, then observation would show that it propels things very quickly. Once you have that, it does not take much imagination to try and force something quickly in one direction, then make it more powerful/compact/efficient. Honestly, if we have things that explode, then it would be harder to explain not having something of that nature than actually having it, as it would mean that no one has any real imagination. Of course, that wouldn't mean they would have firearms as we think of them. Cannons, perhaps?

I agree with fallen and the person I don't know Frettzo, I would much rather stick to the medieval fantasy thing we have going on.
