[IC] Mana-Script Academy For The Gifted Reboot

Meruin closed her eyes and began chanting. Trusting the natural defenses of the 4 barriers she had in place, she focused only on her next spell. About a hundred magic circles the size of dinner plates shimmered into existence behind her in a 'U' formation, all of them facing Elza. For Meruin, she would hit hard from the very start as a sign of respect. The lances of Elza stopped 3 meters away from Meruin, locked in place by a ring of light. 30 secs until spell goes off

Elza's eyes widened almost as large as the magic circles were. This escalated far quicker than she had expected, which just meant it was going to be fun. Elza's eyes glinted with the light of challenged and she charged Meruin while hurling her other 4 shadow spears at her. If they were stopped she would bring them back and break them into a deadly hail of shadow shards and send them at Meruin as she viciously swung her scythe hoping to break through her barriers.

Pandora looked around. Nothing interesting was happening at the moment. Or at least nothing that Pndora could tell was happening. The real question now was... To burn something or not to burn something?

Deus walked around the Hall of the boys dormitory. He looked left and right for his dorm. 'Woah, the boys dorm is grand, I wonder how the rest of the academy looks like. Deus stopped in front of a door. 'I believe, this is it.' Deus walked in leaving his door open. Once he finished settling down, he walked out of his dorm and began to explore the academy a bit. "Woah, I sure am enjoying this. This is grand. The only place that's big as this is my old home at the monastery, and that's not saying much because it was pretty small. Also all the auras I am sensing here is just too much." He stopped in front of a door that stenched of Demons.

Meruin continued chanting. As expected, the barrier stopped the spears, however, Elza pulled them back and sent them flying towards Meruin en masse. Once more, they were caught 3 meters away from Meruin and locked in place, however, the scythe of Elza completely bypassed whatever barrier was responsible and raced towards the short mage. The scythe impacted against a shining rune placed in the air, causing the force to rebound towards Elza. The barrier also came with a curse that lowered stamina - the symbol of the curse was a tattoo of a withering tree that appeared on a random limb. 23 secs until the spell goes off

Elza growled in frustration as her scythe rebounded off another invisible force. Elza's eyes raced back and forth analyzing her defenses. Layers, no doubt anyone one of them would be to much for her to break through so she would have to slid through them and reach the mage before she could finish her spell. She hefted her scythe again but to her surprise it felt much heavier- no her left arm was just extremely weak, the cause appeared to be a strange tattoo like thing of a withered tree. If the other barriers Meruin had did similar effect she would be to weak to fight by the time she made it through the shields. This was going to be a slow method of trial and effort but Elza had no other choice. So she stepped inside the first circle that stopped her shadow magic and then conjured several shadowy lances again and hurled them at Meruin inside the first barrier hoping that she didn't have another one of the like, while also stepping forward to see if she could get through the second wall with just her body.

The magic barrier contracted and decreased its area, once again catching the shadows within its range. As of the moment, all of Meruin's barriers were focusing on a smaller area around her, effectively clumping into one space. Meruin opened one eye as she was chanting. A magic circle was glowing in her eyes as if it were branded there, and its exact copy appeared underneath Elza.

Elza cursed silently as her magic was once again caught by Meruin's shields. She was surprised when Meruin suddenly opened one of her eyes revealing a circle in it that was immediately duplicated underneath her. Elza's mind went into overdrive thinking of how to react. Quickly Elza jumped forward and flipped the shadow she had been standing on making the circle upside down facing the floor below them. Elza hurled herself towards Meruin while wrapping shadows around her legs to ensnare her. If her attempt at physical assault was stopped the shadows that were attempting to grab Meruins's legs would suddenly grow spines in an attempt to land a hit on the mage.

Chains made of wood snaked from out of the magic circle beneath Meruin - it was not just any ordinary wood however, but wood summoned from a Sacred Tree. It's ability to seal off the strength and powers of whatever it caught increases whenever more wood was involved. They chased after Elza and attempted to bind her completely. Meruin kept her eyes on Elza and ignored the shadows on her feet. A barrier once again stopped her and it came with the same debilitating curse as earlier. The shadows that grabbed her were speared through and destroyed by Meruin's hair, which was now a bit lighter in color. 15 secs until the spell goes off

He was one of the survivors of that explosion which he didn't want to remember. Thanks to that, one of his closest companions had died. However, he decided to start anew. Cruz wasn't willing to be held by the past no more and he learned this lesson by sheer experience. "I've heard from some students about Slick, Sol and Meruin. I really hope that they survived, it would be a shame to get back without seeing the familiar faces from back then.", he spoke. After cleaning himself, he looked back at Deus and soon caught his eye at his sword. "So that's the mythical sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi. I saw about it in my database, but I never thought I would see it personally.", he said. But Cruz noticed that he was taking too much time looking at the sword. "Ah, my bad. It's just that I like some myths here and there. Marcus scratching his head sat criss cross in the middle of the hallway trying to figure out how he was gonna do this." I've got! Do you have any special powers that let's you levatate objects? Pandora finished unpacking her stuff before heading out. She had decided that she needed to do something. When she left however she found a group of unconscious people and two others. Curious she moved closer. Lani sat on her bed, bored. She couldn't even entertain herself with her own magic, it could only heal.

Tony lifted his chin in greeting to Sol, but stayed quiet. Lucy was so glad that Sol was helping her. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. "Thank you so much," she said happily, waving slightly as he left. 'At least there are some nice people here. From what I heard form Tony, people can be quite cocky and powerful here.' Lucy decided to go to her dorm and meet her roommates, hopefully they would be nice also. Lucy found her room after a bit of searching and knocked on the door before walking in. There was already two girls inside. "Hi, I'm Lucy," the girl said boldly, a nice smile on her face.
