You know, winner of the Mistral Tournament or what have you and all that. This is just the first real chance we get to see it in a solo setting against things that aren't Grimm. Nonono... re-watch the battle... she was using her semblance the entire time. Without it, she's nearly at the level of helpless as Jaune.

And I would tend to disagree. Sure, her Semblance may be a big advantage, but knowing how to fight is just as important as being physically strong. Otherwise, you might as well say that, for example, that Sonic would be useless if it weren't for his speed, or that Cyclops would be useless if it weren't for his eye laser. Does she run the risk of having an over reliance on her Semblance? Yes. But at the same time, she has the quick thinking and smarts to use both her semblance and weapons effectively in a fight to win. She had to have had something besides a cool ability to win the Mistral tournament, presumably, so that shows that she has some other traits that must make her the kind of fighter we've been hearing about,

I think if we took Semblances away in general, Pyrrah would still be pretty badass. She's instructing Jaune in combat, after all, so she needs to know what she's talking about. And, since we're seeing somewhat of an improvement in Jaune, she's gotta be doing something right.

As for the whole Jaune-Weiss thing, I'm kinda annoyed with Jaune and people rooting for Jaune. I'd be far more impressed if he knew how to take a hint and leave the girl alone. "Poor Jaune," people keep saying but I'm thinking, "Poor Weiss." Nothing more annoying to me than a guy who can't take a hint. It's not endearing, imo.

I'm not rooting for Jaune, I just feel kinda bad for him. Only because I have a fair idea that no matter how hard he tries, he's gonna fail. It's sad to see a guy put in so much effort to something you know won't be happening.

Then again, this is an anime, and I've been tricked about that sort of thing before, so it shows what I know.

On my opinion of Jaune, he pretty much represent male high school students who fails and fails but ends up succeeding in the end. Like how I couldn't tongue for seven years on my Saxophone until I finally did becoming First chair on my Senior year. A long coveted position I wanted when at the start of my HS Sophomore.

Well then, huzzah for a new episode. Blake finally gets some sleep, Ren gets more than 3 lines, with the humorous fanon theory tied in that people go to him for advice on girls, even if there's no basis to indicate he has any experience beyond Nora. The relationship status between Ruby and Yang gets clarified, we learn that, as expected, Summer Rose was indeed a badass. The Weiss-Neptune ship is a go, and Jaune gets his hopes and dreams crushed again.

Still, breather over, it's about to go down.

I'm not gonna lie, I was rooting for Jaune. Weiss x Jaune has been my ship since volume 1. Maybe just so I can call their pairing 'yellow snow'. It seems as though they've thoroughly sunk that ship though, so I guess Jaune'll have to fall back onto his pile of other love interests.

Well. to be fair, Cyclops is also batman-prepared with a colt M1911 in his desk drawer, just in case he wakes up under attack, and somehow doesn't have his powers... or just wants to kill his brother/clone/girlfriend (which are all p. much immune to his powers).
-Course, he didn't quite count on his girlfriend paralyzing him. (He's also one of the few X-men that actually knows how to fly an SR-71, or a space-shuttle)

He's a high school kid who wants to impress his crush. I don't see it as creepy personally. Maybe if he keeps at it after this last episode where's its made very clear to him Weiss' eyes have fallen elsewhere it could be considered weird, but I doubt RT will do that.

Well... outside of doing it for comic effect. But let's be honest; Jaune is 75% comic effect.

In the meanwhile, Cinder is a good fighter, horrible at hiding unconscious bodies, has Dust infused...falchions? I think those are falchions, that also become a bow. And now we know how the Beacon deliery system works. And their wifi password.

Well, beside that, the obvious answer would be some sort of malware that seizes control of all those combat robots, like the one we saw Ironwood demonstrating, and has them attack Beacon, Vale, etc. That's the answer that immediately springs to my mind anyway.

Am I the only one who was kinda grossed out over Neptune basically preparing to pass Weiss over to Jaune as if she was his to just sort of hand off? And Jaune saying "Oh you should care for how girls feel!" But then turning around and not listening to Weiss when she explicitly says she's not interested in him? Do you think that scene on the balcony was supposed to be portraying Jaune as hypocritical and that it's gonna bite him in the ass later, or...?
