Seeing as his first victim had been scorched and burnt to a crisp by sigma's bullet barrage, and his other had been lift off the balcony and given a cozy little fall onto the main hall's floor, Heretic turned his attention to the stairs as he went after the only target that was still conscious. Jumping over his friends once again Heretic found the second SWAT guard, bruised from his plummet, climbing the stairs to again join the fight. "Hell no!", Heretic responded, pouncing onto the helpless marine again and dragging him down the stairs.

Flare grunted as something hot slammed into him, then grinned as the heat turned into energy. Still in his blurry, "heat vision", he saw one of the heat sources get thrown down and another cease moving. Though he could feel his sight beginning to return he opted to keep using his heat sensing and fired off another shot at the last one. As the condensed flaming bullet flew out of the gun he wondered if the heat was damaging it at all. After all it probably wasn't meant to be continually shooting fireballs at people

"Sorry guys!" Rocksmith called out when he realized that he accidentally hit some if his team mates "I was aiming for the SWAT blokes". It was then that Rocksmith saw the invigorating effect fire had on Flare. "Actually" Rocksmith said "I think something good has come from this. I'll have to remember that little trick". With that said, Rocksmith leveled his guitar at SWAT Officer 3 and played another epic guitar solo. This time, a continuous stream of fire erupted from the guitar and bathed SWAT Officer 3 in flames hot enough to melt his body armor off.

Looping high over the main hall Bumblebee wove her way between the chandeliers as she carefully lined herself up with the upper hallway before thumbing the control and activating her afterburner. Suddenly she was rocketing across the room, heading towards the hall, but not quite getting there just yet.

In a moment it would be time to shout out a warning to her teammates, but for now Bumblebee had the opportunity to simply enjoy the speed, and she was going to enjoy every second of it.

The bullet barrage generated enough heat to make the gun unusable for a while, as the metal of the weapon was too hot to be able to fire anything without risk of failure. However, the hostiles where still active, even with one of them down...

Sigma broke into a sprint towards one of the officers and, following its mission, smacked one of them in the face with the overheated weapon. After all, the automaton was never told that that couldn't be done.

Well, so much for anybody listening to him. At least he was going to listen to his own words and follow Flare around. As such, he took his time to plod along behind and when the pyro popped off, he would shoot at the same opponent.
"TRY NOT TO KILL THE COPS, AIM FOR ARMS AND LEGS!"

Leading by example, he tried to aim for the arms of the officer in hopes of a maim and a purple heart rather than a closed coffin. A lot of people presumed he was a cop before all of this, they were close, his dad was an officer but Rick lacked the drive to watch the revolving door of even Texas justice. Truth is that he was a fire fighter after his powers manifested, forming a rock lining before suiting up and going in to fight fires then wipe it all off as soot and smoke grime. One day he grabbed onto a wall to recharge his skin and learned that his powers weakened the surface against him as he compromised a load bearing divider and collapsed the structure on him. As far as his family knew, he died in that fire. But AEGIS had better plans.

Teaming up with flare so far had been a powerful success, but his techniques were burning through their inventory quick. Thinking fast, Brick emptied the clip into the cops armor in hopes of just knocking him out before releasing the clip to offer the unmelted focus to the pyromaniac.
"Flare! New gun!"
He'd hunker down in a second to get the spare gun from the bag of money he took earlier, but for now they needed to keep the pressure on the officers so they could get to the girls upstairs. He'd played offense, but defense is where he belongs. he just hoped the others were doing as well.

Propelled at full speed Bumblebee carefully wove her way passed her companions and smashed hard into SWAT Officer 3, lifting him off his feet with the force of her impact. Gripping his armour tightly the aviatrix pulled the heavy man along with her until she finally slammed into the far wall, letting the armoured law enforcement officer drop down the stairwell on top of his colleague as she quickly hit the airbrakes and flipped around to look down the now clear corridor with the roof access stairway now unguarded.

As Rocksmith watched Bumblebee throw her target down the stairs, an idea came to him. "Everyone keep clear of the SWAT blokes!" Rocksmith called out before playing a chord that launched him above everyone else. At the height of his jump, Rocksmith played a tasty riff on his magic guitar that collapsed the stairs in front of the SWAT Officers, preventing them from coming back up the stairs.

Having hurled the officer down the now collapsing stairs, Heretic was slightly burnt by the officer's melting body armor. "Crap...", Heretic cursed, nursing the burn on his torso, but was soon interrupted by the SWAT officer's recuperation. "You're still alive!?", He questioned rhetorically, charging blindly into the enemy once again. Bullets flew into Heretic as he grasped for the marine's auto-gun, yanking it out of the soldier's hand and spraying the rest of the clip out onto it's former master. Laughing menically, Heretic savored the jolt the gun gave in his arms as the bullets beckoned towards the unarmed SWAT guard, guided by little restraint.

Flare was only mildly surprised when the weapon began melting down. He was considering throwing immolating it and hurling it at one of the cops before thinking one step further. Throwing it would probably result in drops of the melted gun splashing everywhere most likely causing irreparable damage to the cops body. It wasn't their fault they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it would be a real shame if they were crippled for it. Deciding to go about it an alternate route, like Brick, he heated up the gun even more causing it to melt down into slag that covered his hand then he caused it to harden around his fist. There that should go give him so extra hitting power in a non-lethal form. He turned and snatched the gun Brick threw saying, "Thanks." before turning to face the two SWAT officers below them. He was about to charge forward when he heard a shout from above to clear out.

Flare stopped and looked up in time to see the guitar guy, Rocksmith, destroy the stairs leaving the two SWAT officers trapped below, and Heretic. He suffered a brief moment of conflict, they could leave Heretic behind and go for the gungirls, but that would leave a teammate behind. Well he wasn't going to leave someone behind in a 2v1 and he didn't think he could make it down there safely. "You guys go ahead, I'll help Heretic deal with these two." he called out to the rest of the team and took a shot at the second police officer that Bumblebee had sent flying down. It seemed most effective, since there three of them vs two of the gungirls they should win easily. "Oh music guy, don't let them do any more mind control yah?"

Heretic is in the collapsed stairwell, standing over the bodies of the other two unconscious SWAT Officers.

Now that he was all healed up and his guitar was nice and cool, Rocksmith felt ready to take on the gungirls. But first, a little practice was needed.

Rocksmith began to play his guitar. Once again, Rocksmith found his mind being transported to the realm of music for an audience with The Lord of The Strings. "Jam with me, Rocksmith" The Lord of The Strings said "The coming battle will be tough. You will be facing opponents that have gone to great lengths in their pursuit of musical talent".
"Very well" Rocksmith replied, before engaging in an epic jam session with The Lord of The Strings.

When Rocksmith's mind returned to his body, he felt stronger, but he wondered if he and his team mates would be able to defeat their latest opponents. There was only 1 way to find out. "I'll meet you guys on the roof!" Rocksmith called out before playing the super jump chord on his guitar. "LEEROY JENKINS!" Rocksmith hollered as he flew through the hole in the ceiling he had made earlier.

When the last of the cops were down, Brick went to work, instinctively shifting his rocks to potect his hands as he stripped the cop from his molten body armor before the man was cooked alive in it. He'd wonder how he moved the rock around later once he freed the man from the near death experience, he didn't want the molten nylon to become napalm on these poor officers.

"Medic! Double check the cops! We want as low a body count as we can. Lets strip them down to handcuff them and Flare weld the locks shut. These girls use sound so I say three of us, Me, Rocksmith, and Bumblebee go up first with the cops masks on and flash bang them when we get up there. Do to them what the cops did to us, thee count later (one round) the others come up and rip these girls a new one. Rocksmith, if you have to be center stage, then sigma takes rocksmith's place."

As he spoke, he put the armor that on he took off the wounded warrior and the mask. If the agency wouldn't give him body armor, then he was going to perform some 'on site acquisition'. He just hoped it would hold up against the next fight.

Flare nodded, Brick's plan was a solid one, if the cops woke up then they would be able to come from behind and cause some serious damage. Now that the stairwell was broken however there was only one cop that would be able to chase them. Flare hurriedly moved to the only cop on the same floor as them and cuffed his wrists applying a small lick of flame to make unlocking them impossible. He would have to remember to fix that after they were finished here. Flare had gotten some some more ideas on how to better use his flame powers and he thought he was getting close to figuring something out. He looked back down at Heretic still on the ground floor. Maybe Heretic could use his demon powers to climb up the walls and get up here though it would be easier if, "Bumblebee can you grab a gas mask from one of the officers down there for yourself and fly Heretic back up? Unless of course you can get back up yourself?" he inquired, the last question aimed at Heretic.

"I'm on it!" Bumblebee called out, before the demon boy had a chance to answer. Swooping down into the main hall and she blasted along the lower hallway, grabbing Heretic under his arms, lifting her colleague into the air. Depositing him safely on the upper hallway landing, Bumblebee turned to give him a quick, respectful salute before shooting off again.

Hovering over the main hall Bumblebee reached back and tweaked a few dials on the fuel intermix manifold of her jetback, and smiled as the engine's whining thrusters began to purr far more efficiently. With the added boost in place she spun in the air, feeling relaxed and rejuvenated by the air rushing around her.
