"Ah ha ha! I'll tear you apart... Like mermaids..." Those were Arms Slave's last words before he, Mightnight Soloist, and Agza the Amazing all collided to the floor. Arms Slave was dead upon impact. The others weren't looking too good either; Azga was the second one to hit the floor, and unless Midnight Soloist had some move to soften the impact, she was going to take as much harm as everyone else was. But assuming they survive, the both would be rewarded with precious EXP: For Azga, she would earn 150 EXP, and for Midnight Soloist, she would gain 225, as she was one level lower then Arms Slave. But if they could not survive the fall, they would not only lose the EXP gained from killing Arms Slave, but 25% of their current EXP. If any at all.
Arms Slave himself lost a good chunk. He had been saving up to reach level 4, but alas, now he's been set back a week. Not that this was particularly unusual for him: Going outlaw often ends in such ways, and he was once level 4 until he failed to survive a particularly tough fight. At least he couldn't get any lower then three. Picking himself up from the floor Arms Slave noticed that he was in the Red City; he never did stop by the Black Sanctuary prior to showing up. Sighing, Arms Slave called up his friends within the Scarlet Harleys to give him a ride back to the Black City.

"Gah!" Dark Wrath pulled back her hand as White Sun slashed it. She had managed to avoid her sword swing, but the Mirror's edge created a second stab that impaled her arm. Fortunately without a blade Dark Wrath was able to pull her hand back, but she lost a bit of health for taking the blow. But she was ready for the White Sun's charge, and so she used her staff to try to trip her. But the warrior was faster to the point then the necromancer was, hopping away from the strike and swing at Dark Wraith again. Instead of trying to block Dark Wraith chose to dodge, doing so by rolling forward, down the hill, and into her Miasma.
White Sun turned around to see her vanish into the thick green smoke, but she knew that Dark Wraith intended to move White Sun would stay inside to fight her. But the Miasma was only so big, and even on a hill White Sun had full mobility. Getting into her ready stance, White Sun dashed through the Miasma, slashing every step of the way. She never stayed inside for longer then a second and she was moving too fast for Dark Wraith to pin her Dark Hand on her. White Sun dashed in and out, slashing with impunity, knowing that Dark Wraith couldn't keep up with her speed. Even if White Sun took some hits from the Miasma, it was only a matter of time before she hits her mark, and once she does, Dark Wraith would have no where to run.
But Dark Wraith didn't intend to run. She came to fight White Sun, and that's what she's going to do.
Knowing that White Sun was just going to try to hit-and-run, Dark Wraith needed to devise a way to stop her from running. Staying low to the ground, Dark Wraith then took her cowl off, which in truth was actually a scarf. A decorative thing, but for the purpose she needed it for it'll have to do. Tying the scarf so that she could get a loop through it, Dark wraith waited for White Sun to charge through the miasma before lassoing the scarf around one of her feet. This caused White Sun to stumble in the middle of the miasma, where Dark Wraith went on a full offensive. The moemnt White Sun got onto the ground, Dark Wraith picked up her staff and used it to help put White Sun into a staff-assisted full-nelson, right in the Miasma. While at the same time Dark Wraith channeling the Dark Hand through her staff, sapping White Sun of her health while she remained in the cloud. Within a minute, White Sun would be defeated.
"Hah! So maybe you got some bite after all! Guess it's time to stop playing around."Where it anyone else Dark Wraith's attack would mean defeat. But White Sun still had her avatar abilities to rely on, and thus she activated one: Suddenly her body vanished and was high above the Miasma. Dark Wraith looked up and Saw White Sun right above her, and she was certain the White King knew this as well. She had both her weapons drawn and used an Icarus Attack, slamming into the ground with enough force to knock Dark Wraith down the hill, out and away from the Miasma. She slammed into a rock and lost a lot of health, and it didn't look any better when she tried to get up only to feel a blade pierce her shoulder.
Dark Wraith screamed in pain, but White Sun looked unshaped. Her health was in the yellow, but Dark Wraith was already in the red. If White Sun slashes her blade, it would kill Dark Wraith.
"Tch... What are you waiting for?" Looking sternly at White Sun, Dark Wraith had nothing but contempt for her. She has no idea what her problem with Yoshino was, only that she needed to leave her alone. This alliance may benefit their factions, but that didn't mean Yoshino approved of their interaction.
"You've won. You and I both know this was going to happen.""Come on now Yoshino-chan, liven up some! You almost had me there. If you actually had some backup that might have killed me. But yes, I won. You know for someone working as the brains of the Black King, I had thought you'd be smarter then this. Maybe set up some snipers off in the distance, or at least make some zombies and have them sneak around. But you must be reeeeeaaaly stupid if you actually though you could take me on alone."This struck a nerve to Dark Wraith. Was this how White Sun was going to talk to Yoshino? Insult and belittle her upon defeat, as if she wasn't already trying her best? Dark Wraith would admit she could have won if she didn't fight fairly. She could have easidly alterred the system to survive more damage, make her own attacks do more harm. But she wanted to face White Sun in person and see how she was like. She was a bitch.
"Is that what you think? Is that what I am to you... Onee-chan?"
"Fire!"
As the brave players of the Black City tried to whittle down the health of the massive level 5 dissolution, a hail of explosions impacted it's backside. It turned, and those with the vantage point could see a crew of gunners and mages. They wasted no time firing a second volley into the face of the beast, causing it to stagger. And more importantly, bring it between two buildings were more players jumped down on top of it; Warriors and Rogues who could cause massive amounts of damage quickly, with healers not to far away to help alleviate the damage done to it. Suddenly the small band of players were met with many, many more, almost two-hundred players in all. They had a variety of names, not all of them thematically appropriate for a guild like the Ebon Strykers. Many were also fairly low levels, with more then half only level 1 or 2, a good third level three, and the rest a mix of level 5s. And about four who were level 9.
They combined their collective power to do as much harm to the dissolution as they could, hitting it with not just weapons, but also crowd-controlling moves. The ground beneath the dissolution became both unstable and sticky; it would be almost impossible for it to move out from it's spot. It also burst into flames at random locations in it's body, including the area of impact where Jukebox totaled a car. But even with their combined might, they were just barely able to negate the massive dissolution's regeneration properties. And with so many players attacking it, the Dissolution started to flail about wildly, slamming it's body and arms into buildings in an effort to slay players, some which were successful. Time was of the essence.
To most of the players, they would receive a buff: Empowerment and Sanctuary. The Sanctuary would allow the players a bit more resilience against the monster's attack, and it would last as long as they stayed near a healer. Empowerment was a trickier buff however: The players would need to be carefully considerate as their next attack would be twice as powerful, but it'd only work once. And as more players were getting killed by the Dissolution's wild attacks, they needed to act fast before it's regeneration would heal back the damage being done to it.
