Name: Veronica Rose
Nicknames/Aliases: Rose
X-Men Code Name: Morphine
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Physical Description: Rose is a tall, lean, tan skinned woman with a giant mass of curly hair coming out of her head. She stands at 5'10" but is actually pretty self conscious about her height, never wearing heels or anything other than converse really. She has long legs and arms that compliment her lean figure. She has subtle curves where it counts and is pretty well 'developed' in some areas. Rose has dark brown, almond shaped eyes that are a bit wide set but fit nicely on her face along with her strong cheekbones.
Mutations: Rose has the ability that can be called Spontaneous Regeneration/Healing, meaning that her body's cells rapidly divide, causing her to heal at an astonishingly fast pace. Her body does this automatically, without her doing anything. If she is wounded or injured, she can recreate lost or damaged tissues, organs and limbs. The rate and amount of healing varies depending on the injury. It can take her a few seconds to recover from a stab or a gunshot wound, but up to an hour to regrow lost limbs or such. She is generally in very good physical shape as her body is constantly reverting to a healthy state. It is unknown at this point if her life span will be extended or cut short because of this ability. Further research is needed to determine that.
She also has the ability to heal others (by speeding up the regeneration of their cells - though she doesn't know that's how it works or how she does it). But this is where the price of her gift is paid. Whenever she heals someone, their pain is effectively (for lack of a better word) stolen from them and felt by her instead. This is a major drawback for her as she has a very low pain tolerance. It is as if her pain receptors work on overdrive all the time, and it could just be an effect of her mutation. The extent of her powers stops when her brain undergoes serious damage, and this is likely one of the few ways in which she could die.
Personality: Rose is confident and outgoing, quite fun to be around if one has a good sense of humor and doesn't offend easily. She has never been afraid to speak her mind for fear of hurting someone’s feelings and she isn’t above tossing a snarky remark or two when/if the situation calls for it. The majority of her repertoire consists of sarcastic comments or jokes accompanied by a sardonic smirk or raising of an eyebrow. She has been called cold more than a few times, but only because has extremely selective empathy, being that she cannot bring herself to understand the ridiculous reasons which cause a great deal of upset and alarm to most people. Crying at the drop of a hat is simply annoying and a waste of the human body’s functions in her opinion. Tear glands exist for the purpose of keeping one’s eyes moist to prevent them drying out, not to stream torrents of water down one’s face because of silly things. As a firm believer of independence, Rose absolutely loathes damsels in distress. She’s quite determined and headstrong when it comes to accomplishing tasks and prefers to be the one in charge if placed in a group. She has a mind just as sharp as her tongue and often times can be found alone, reading some large book in a quiet place.
Background: To be revealed.
Recap of your mutations awakening: When Rose was 13, she was in a car accident that should have killed her. Both her parents as well as her 6 month old baby sister died in that crash. At the time she didn't know of her ability to heal others, as that happened many years later. For a long time, she didn't understand her ability or why she could heal like no one else. She would often times take a knife to her wrists and watch as her skin molded back together after just a few seconds, and this caused her to develop an interest in becoming a doctor even at that young age. Two years later when she was closer to 16 years old, she witnessed a small child victim of as hit and run. She had picked up the unconscious child and ran to the nearest hospital, only for the youngster to have no traces of injury by the time she got there. It was then that she realized she could heal others. The one time this didn't work was when she was 17. Her pet cat passed away once when she went on a school trip to France with her French class. Upon her return, she attempted to bring the cat back to life, but she couldn't. She realized then that she could not bring the dead back to life, no matter how much she wanted.
