Name:Caspar Deveraux
Nicknames/Aliases:Cas
X-Men Code Name: Blindspot
Gender:Male
Age:18
Physical Description: Caspar stands at exactly 6 feet tall with pearl white hair and crisp blue eyes. His white hair is what led his parents to name him Caspar when he was an infant. He weights approximately 170 pounds and has a slender to athletic build to his body. He doesn't really lift weights but he keeps his body toned and in shape. Caspar is described as being handsome in the face, but with boyish and babyface qualities. Instead of having rough and rugged skin like most men, his skin his porcelain, smooth, and cold. He was never the type to go outside and play which warrants him having pale skin. He normally wears black and white clothing, mostly from H&M and Topman.
Mutations: Invisible Energy Manipulation - Caspar has the mental ability to manipulate an unknown invisible energy for a variety of effects, including the rendering of himself and other objects invisible, and the construction of solid, invisible force fields. In an as yet unknown manner, this energy interacts with the cells of his entire body in such a way as to produce a new form of energy with unusual properties.
- Invisibility - By a simple act of concentration, he can cause all wavelengths of visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light to bend around him without distortion; he also somehow directs enough undistorted light to his eyes to retain his full range of vision while invisible. An observer, unaware of the peculiar path light takes around his body, would have the sensation of seeing through him. Caspar can also mentally project the invisible energy produced within the cells of his body in order to render other people or objects invisible. The largest volume he can as yet turn invisible at a single time is approximately 150,000 cubic feet of volume (roughly the size of a fighter jet). He has sufficient control over his power that he can turn parts of her body selectively invisible. His invisibility is undetected by all forms of technology and can only be sensed by psychics. Or one can throw water or paint in the area to see if it will create a silhouette of his body. Caspar can also make objects that are made invisible by other means visible by letting his energy interfere with theirs.
- Force Fields - While the cells of the Caspar's body process the invisible energy one way, the cells of his brain process it in a different, more potent manifestation. Through concentration, he is able to project a field of invisible psionic force which he can manipulate into a number of relatively simple forms: walls, domes, cylinders, etc. The complexity of the shape is limited by his ability to imagine (mentally visualize) a particular form and keep it in sharp mental focus. The size of a given psionic force projection is also limited by his mental stamina. The smallest force projection he can visualize (and maintain the visualization) is the size of a marble. The largest solid force projection he can visualize and maintain is about 100 feet in diameter. His force projections can protect him from most impacts, energy being the easiest to deflect while physical impacts are the hardest. Since this power is an extension of his mind and body, Caspar is affected by inertial forces acting upon his projections. Thus if a car traveling at 60 miles per hour hit a wall of his force that was 6 inches thick, unless he generated a bracing shape against a sufficiently sturdy object, he would be affected as though she were hit by the car directly. Caspar is able to control the surface of the fields rigidity to a certain extent. He can cause the surface of the field to be very hard, depending on its thickness (steel-like at about 2.5 feet), or as resilient as foam rubber. By making the field more resilient he is able to absorb more of the inertia of impacts within the field without having them transmitted to his body. He is also, through training, able to alter the shapes he creates while utilizing those shapes, often to absorb or deflect the force of impacts. Caspar is also able to use this ability to simulate telekinesis to an extent. He can wrap objects/people in a bubble of force energy and push/pull them to a desired area. He is capable of using his force fields as shock waves, throwing his force fields at opponents to knock them over. Caspar can simulate flight by wrapping himself and others in a bubble and floating to a destination. Because of mental strain, he can only carry two other people inside and can only travel a few miles before becoming fatigued. By combining his invisibility and his force field ability, Caspar can create cloaking shields, hiding everything inside a force field from being detected.
Personality:Caspar is rather intelligent and has a way with words. He's very articulate, rational, and is quite the debater. He could sell ice to an Eskimo if he had to. Caspar wouldn't exactly be described as an introvert, but he normally keeps his thoughts to himself until he feels the need to speak his mind. He's known as the king of shade because sometimes other don't know if he's being shady or genuine. Others might get the cold, stand-offish vibe from him upon first impression, but he's quite the nice person and can relatively get along with just about anyone that's nice to him. If someone is rude and obnoxious, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to let you know Caspar wouldn't like you. His facial expressions don't lie when he's around someone he particularly doesn't like. Because of this, it's hard for him to be a fake person. You will pretty much know if he likes you or not. When Caspar speaks, he tends to sound a bit monotonous in which people have to constantly remind him that he lacks any type of emotion when he talks. If he happens to be your friend, Caspar is usually the listener and let's the other person talk. Afterwards, his wisdom and intellectual words normally give the best advice and can calm even the most manic person.
Background: Since birth, Caspar had always been kind of an odd child. He had strange habits, weird tastes, and it didn't help he was born with white hair and eyes that could pierce your soul. His family was wealthy so he had all the things he wanted. Being a strange child, it as no surprise that he didn't have many friends. It wasn't really his appearance that set them off, it was just his awkward personality and the fact he didn't like hanging with anyone. He preferred to play in the corner by himself. Most of this dissolved when he went into middle school and into private catholic high school. He got better friends that taught him to be a more outgoing person. Although he still remained the type to keep to himself, he was tolerable around others and people generally liked him. But soon enough, he began to go through some changes.
He always knew he didn't really have romantic feelings for women ever since he was little. This was reaffirmed when he found out he had a crush on the high school quarterback his freshman year. Of course he probably would be bullied because of it, he kept it hidden and refused to out himself. Around this time, his mutant abilities began to manifest themselves. They were triggered during an embarrassing moment that kept him from going back to school during his sophomore year. He knew having this "gifts" were seen as being far worse than gay. After being contacted by the Xavier Institute, they instead referred him to a new institute known as Ashford. At this point, he still remains closeted by has practiced his abilities.
Recap of your mutations awakening:Caspar manifesting his powers was actually really embarrassing to him. During the end of P.E. he was changing in the locker room and caught himself staring at his crush undressing. Unbeknownst to him, he was staring a bit too hard which caught the attention of other guys. Words and taunts were being thrown his way that caused him to run out of the locker room and into the bathroom. He splashed water onto his face and looked into the mirror. There he noticed he was phasing in and out of the visible spectrum. One minute he could see himself in the mirror, the next second he couldn't. The embarrassment had triggered his power. He couldn't control it and ended up leaving campus and never returning.
