David glanced up as the Brotherhood group approached. He'd had dealings with the Brotherhood of Steel in the past, though it was mainly with a chapter from a base in Chicago, and a bit with one in DC. All in all, his dealings had been generally peaceful, if a little strained from his status as a ghoul. Even with ghouls in their ranks, the Midwestern Brotherhood hadn't completely removed all prejudices. As he closed and re-clasped his Bible to his belt, he stood calmly and replied to the Brotherhood soldier. "I'm David. Glad to see the East Coast Brotherhood's still up and running, especially what with the Enclave still out and about..."

"Hello, David. Yes, the Brotherhood is still active in New York and the Commonwealth, and we're planning on dealing with the Enclave threat..." Lawrence would stop to remember a run-in with the Enclave he had two years ago in Kansas, back when he and his squad was heading to Boston. "Speaking of the Enclave, have any of you seen Enclave soldiers around? My squad and I are patrolling the city and our duty is to eliminate any of those Enclave bastards if we see 'em."

David sighed a little when the Brotherhood member asked him about Enclave sightings. He didn't want to be the one to inform them about the fall of Liberty City, but he supposed that he should, all the same. "Actually, they just finished sacking Liberty City. We're the survivors..." David glanced downward, thinking back about what he could have done, and if what he had done was anywhere near enough. "If you need anything, I'm sure myself or anyone else here would be happy to oblige. Even if it's just a bit of food for the road or something of the sorts."

Lawrence, though his face is hidden by the helmet, frowns. "Hm... I see. I suppose we have nothing to do here then..." With a sigh, Lawrence turns to his squad. They talk quietly amongst themselves for a moment, before Lawrence turns around and addresses the whole group. "Alright, if you folks want to, you can accompany my squad and I back to the Sky Citadel. We'll set you up with some beds, some weapons, and armor. And, maybe some of you will be willing to join the Brotherhood, too... So, any takers?" He asks, looking at the group and examining each of them. What an odd group, Lawrence thinks to himself, some mutants, scavvers, and just typical wastelanders; they'll all be some nice additions... If they join.

Ahab said looking at the others getting the introduces out of the way,"But i thought that the Brotherhood does not accept outsiders?Unless you elder is following the doctrine of Lyons?" The mutant said looking at the Brotherhood member.

"And im Danny form Brooklyn...good thinking jolly green giant...i thought ya guys worked liked the Enclave and wanted to kill all outsiders,Don't want them touching your little toys" Danny said with sarcasm oozing in his voice.He knew damn well that the Brotherhood don't give a damn about mutants especially like a ghoul like himself.

Join the Brotherhood? I thought, sitting up. It could be a good idea... why not? It couldn't hurt, could it? "Well, I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but I'm in. At least then we'll have a chance to defeat the Enclave in Liberty City. Assuming you want to take back the city?" I address the last part to the Brotherhood guy.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures." Lawrence replies, addressing Ahab. "We'll recruit outsiders and even mutants like you and these ones," he gestures toward David and Danny with his gun during the last part, "if it means we'll kick the Enclave's ass." Then, he looks to Danny and replies to him: "No; we work nothing like the Enclave. While they're busy enslaving and eradicating 'muties', we're just looking to secure tech and build up our ranks." And, finally, he looks at Jinx.

"Good, we'll need all the recruits we can get." Lawrence pauses, pondering about the city. "As for this city of yours... We do want to eradicate the Enclave and rescue any of their slaves, so we do want to take the city back if they're setting up a base. Otherwise, we leave it alone."

"Ah then you must follow the the doctrine of the eastern brotherhood...But i have a question for you" Ahab said stopping for a moment before speaking again,"Do you have power armor that can fit a super mutant like me" Ahab said finishing his thought chuckling a bit to what he was asking for.

"We might. It's been a while since I checked the gear, years in fact. We might've built something that'd fit someone of your size, but I can't be sure; you'd have to come with us to the Sky Citadel... So long as you were willing to." Responds Lawrence to Ahab, who then looks once again towards Danny, "Need convincing... Well, I can't do that, but I think I might know someone we took to the Sky Citadel who might be able to... Hell, he told me about a ghoul and a guy matching you two," he points at Danny and Jinx, "said that he met you at the island a few days back. Had a robot with him and wore a Vault suit, you know him?"

Vor Shinse had largely kept to herself while the rest of the group had set up camp. A few were moping around, others had set up a watch while she sat with her back to the fire, reloading clips and wondering where the nearest trade settlement would be. She was busy making a mental map of the surrounding area when a Brotherhood scouting party revealed themselves and began asking about the island. By the end of the conversation they were offering sanctuary at the Citadel and talking about accepting ghouls and super mutants into the Chapter. Desperate times, she supposed. And of course everyone seemed to be jumping at the opportunity.

"Next ting you'll tell us you're accepting synths too." She muttered under her breath before looking over at her haul. "So," She spoke up, making sure she could be heard, "The Citadel willing to trade scrap or are your lot still only about the high-end tech stuff?"

BoS caps were as good as any other and the sooner she could offload this haul, the better. Who knows, maybe she could get her hands on some of their precious tech before she left.

"Nope, we're still hunting those- *ahem* Anyway, sorry ma'am but no, we don't accept scrap, we still only want high-tech stuff." Lawrence replies. "Unless, of course, that scrap is technology. If so, then we'll pay a lot of caps for that..." After a few minutes of holding the Pilgrim in a position where the gun would be ready to be fired, Lawrence finally relaxes and slings it over his shoulder. "At ease, guys. We know these folks are peaceful." With that, Norman and Marvin holster their laser rifles. "Anyhow, the offers up to all of you. But after this whole Enclave situation is over, we'll be going back to our old ways: no mutants allowed." Lawrence would then sit down on a rock and light a cigarette, taking a drag from it.

Vor mused over the response for a moment. What the Brotherhood considered worthwhile tech changed from time to time. She had a few military grade circuit boards, some fission batteries and the like, maybe when she got there she could find someone who needed scrap to patch a wall or a gun or some such thing. She shrugged.

"If you're paying, I'm coming." She replied, taking note of the lowered weapons and tucking her 10mm out of sight. "You wouldn't happen to have a spare sidearm would you? I'm running a little low of ammo and could use the protection."

"I don't. What about you, Marv?" Lawrence asked Marvin. "Uh, let me check..." Marvin looks through his pack, before pulling out a laser pistol and some energy cells "Here you go." Then, Marvin handed it to Lawrence who then handed it to Vor. "So, we'll give you folks a day to think about it. We'll stay here, and twenty-four hours from now we'll be leaving with whomever decides to join us. We already have two that have decided, the super mutant and the wastelander, now the rest of you can decide."

Tom was staying quiet while everyone was talking to the BoS. Even if they decide to shoot us in the back the chance to get revenge and to free people wasn't a chance he was going to turn down. The ghoul stepped up to the front of the group. "I'll join you guys." Tom was probably being reckless with joining them without much thought but he wasn't one known to be smart and think things through.

Vor nodded in thanks as she accepted the weapon. It was a basic laser pistol, no mods but that could be improved upon, almost assuredly at Sky Citadel. Regardless it was free gun, so it was a win-win. A ghoul was already volunteering to travel with, but Vor Shinse decided to play her cards closer to the chest. She didn't want to commit to anything right away, not to mention that groups like the Brotherhood made her feel uneasy.
They weren't as bad as the Enclave, but they could be just as discriminatory or genocidal when they wanted to be. Five years ago they wouldn't have given this group the time of day unless one of them had tech that needed to be "saved" from them. And as the party leader had said himself, they were still in the business of hunting down and killing synths for no other reason than they were synths. Same dogma, different interpretation.

"Ah, great. So far we have three and there are..." Lawrence paused to count. "... Ten of you. That means about one third. Not bad, considering some of our recent attempts to recruit people... Norman." With that Lawrence gave Norman a cold stare, only for Norman to say: "It was a damn accident, Lawrence! I didn't mean to fire!"
"Yeah, well because of you we lost seventy-three fusion cells... Great going."

Max had spent most of his time in the small camp just staring in front of him and trying to stop his hands from shaking. Now that all of his adrenaline had been used up he could barely stand. Back in the day fighting against the Enclave had been so much easier... His eyesight had been better, his reflexes much quicker... and he had walked the wastes with the best posse any man could hope to have. Now what did he have? Sore legs, aching back and a lot of experience.

The old man managed to get on his feet as the Brotherhood fellows arrived and listened to them cautiously before walking closer. He forced a little smile to his lips and straightened his back. "Well it's been a while since I've seen any of your lot out in the open. The name is Max Sawyer. Gave your lot a hand back West when I was younger." Max smirked as he still remembered the baffled look when he had handed the Vertibird plans to that Matt fellow, it was like the fellow hadn't believed that Max and his little ragtag bunch had it in them to lie their way in to a heavily guarded Enclave installation. "Though that was a long time ago... I hope you lot don't have an age restriction when hiring." He added.

"No age limit that I know of, civilian. Even if we did have one, you look like you're in good shape." Replies Lawrence, still sitting on the rock and smoking a cigarette. He puts the cigarette out, and then continues with: "So, I take it you want to join? The more the merrier, I suppose."

David was somewhat surprised at the offer to join the Brotherhood, but he supposed that he should have seen it coming. This far north, they could use all the help they could get, and apparently he was no exception. He contemplated the offer, thinking about how well he could achieve his goals while a part of the Brotherhood. Ultimately, he decided it would be for the best to join up. David looked to the Brotherhood members and told them "You can count me in as well."
