@Thewizardguy Just curious, as I dont really see anything on the sheet. But how exactly is Darquesse capable of ignoring a 20k+ lumen flash when it says that seeing magic is one of her prime abilities? I mean there is the defense that she could switch it off, but I see no reason she'd be prompted to do that, or how she'd do it fast enough to escape, and it doesn't exactly seem to imply that's what happened in the post.

Because in her universe, seeing magic doesn't work like normal sight. All magic is equally 'bright', it's just in different shapes and matrixes, or in larger pools. So while creating bright flashes makes sense for your magic-sight, it doesn't really work because of the way her magic-sight works.

It's a subtle difference, but it is there. And it shows how magic works differently in different universes.

This is why I usually have a set of governing laws over how magic works across the multiverse.

Eh, I personally prefer the versatility, as it highlights the differences between universes. To me the vastly different mechanics of the different universes are one of the more interesting aspects of multiverse roleplays.

@thewizardguy I'm fine with it either way. I counted on it not working. As for the mechanics of it, I'm not too sure on. It was still light, even if metaphysical, and her ability to see/sense magic should have experienced some sort of overload if not visual. But if those are the rules you use then so be it. My post will be up in the next five minutes.

Eh, if it hadn't worked she has two alternative methods of sight.

She has the ability to sense souls, eg all living beings, through her necromancy.

And using elemental magic she's able to sense minute air pressure differences from a distance, basically functioning as a radar that doesn't rely on sound.

So whether it would have worked or not, she has no real need of her eyes in order to find her enemy.

@thewizardguy I swore I mentioned it was a nervous-neuro dampener of sorts somewhere in there. I'd say it functions on a physical level. Impeding the brain from sending signals specified for motion, and then taking away the abilities for nerves to translate data as feeling. So full paralysis.
