INTERACTING WITH β€” Her boss ("Mrs Payne") then all the peeps at the airport.
WORK OUTFIT / AIRPORT OUTFIT
CAR

FRIDAY
8:00AM

"Miss Katona, yes β€” there's no need for you to come in today. We've noticed your hard work these past couple months and we've seen the improvements in the students' grades and attitudes to learning."

Valentina waited with a bated breath for the but, her phone pressed against her ear as she paced around her bedroom nervously. Was she slipping? So soon? She'd joined the team just over two months ago β€” surely she couldn't have screwed up so soon! That morning had started off simple enough. She woke up, cuddled her dog, made herself some of her usual breakfast and even got half-way ready (by that, just finished putting on her work clothes) before the call from her boss came.

"We believe its fair to let you off for a week. But only for a week and this one time. We trust that you will not bring our school any problems when you're on your vacation." The voice of the principal sent shivers down her spine. She was not one to be messed with; a strict lady with even stricter rules to follow - whether you were staff or student, it didn't matter. Valentina didn't want to get on her bad side, so she didn't push her luck and ask for vacation more than once.

"Yesβ€” yes, Mrs Payne, I assure you nothing of that sort will happen." It was short, but it seemed that it was all Mrs Payne needed as she humphed from the other side, muttering a enjoy your holiday before hanging up the phone. Valentina waited for the dial tone to fill her ears before she pulled her phone away, excitedly tossing it over onto her bed before grabbing her luggage that was tucked under the table - already packed and ready to go for the past couple days. She dragged the case out, checking that it was properly locked and packed before dashing off into the ensuite to change out of her work clothes and into her airport attire.

If she wanted to get there on time, Valentina knew she had to leave and fast. It would be a pain enough to try and get her ticket changed for an earlier flight - the exact flight her friends were all going to be on and given her luck she knew she was going to probably make it the very last second. Valentina decided not to text Chloe, wanting to keep it a surprise for her and the group of her early arrival.

After getting dressed, Valentina was out of her house faster than the Road Runner escaping the Wile E. Coyote and his elaborate schemes. She'd called the petsitter, a lovely girl by the name of Geo that was willing to pick little Gemma up from her home and take care of the Corgi pup till Valentina's return. Before leaving, Valentina had given herself five minutes to simply cuddle up her pet before feeding her and providing with enough water to last till the petsitter could pick her up.

She arrived at the airport fifty-five minutes later, including traffic (which was what Valentina expected anyway; the airport was just an extra twenty past the elementary school she worked at). Dragging the suitcase behind her, she queued up impatiently, checking her ticket and passport as the line to the check-in lady grew longer and longer behind Valentina.

Her original flight was supposed to be at five this afternoon, giving her enough time to leave the school at 3PM to arrive at the airport and check in for her flight. But now with the sudden change in plans, she could only hope there was still one more seat available with her friends on the flight, and if not Valentina was sure that she was just going to wait till her five o'clock flight instead.

The line moved slowly, time inching closer and closer to boarding time that it worried Valentina. She was eventually the first in line, being called upon fifteen minutes later for check in. It took some haggling, but the lady β€” Tanya, according to the badge β€” behind the counter eventually found a seat for Valentina to nab for herself. She thanked Tanya profusely, handing over her suitcase before dashing to security with her new ticket held tightly in her hand.

Eventually she was cleared and allowed to board the flight. Excitement bubbled up in her as she approached the gate to find her friends. Val found them inside the VIP waiting room, all of them standing around (except for her, obviously) and seemingly having a good time. It seemed that Valentina had somehow managed to make it to the airport on time β€” she thanked Lady Luck one last time before walking into the waiting room with a grin.

"Hey guys!" Val greeted every single one of them. "Didn't expect to see me so soon, didja?"

INTERACTING WITH: EACH OTHER
LOCATION: AN ALLEY IN NEWNAN

The entire situation was a mess. He'd been stationed at the entrance with Kris, to allow in the Newnan folks that were injured due to the invasion or the damn zombnado that rolled around town not long ago. Sidd kept his eyes peeled for each face that passed by, nodding as he recognised most of them even if he didn't know them persay.

He pointed at the door, the crowd following the direction into the infirmary before all hell broke loose. Maria - Kris' sister - was being guided back inside with the help of Zoie with a bleeding arm bound with a belt. He could only guess that something went wrong and she had been bitten while outside. He followed behind Kris, hestitantly shutting the door and just praying that no one else would need the infirmary or to enter while they were gone.

Sidd didn't know Maria as well as Meg knew her. He was the recluse, the hermit while she was the one that made friends and could spend hours talking about anything and everything. He shut the door behind them as they entered the infirmary once more only to have Maria barking at the redneck biker guy. He was of no help; again and he was glad that Froggy had sent him back out to keep guard. If Kris couldn't do it, at least he could be of some use to Newnan. He scurried back out, just as silently and winced as the muffled cries of agony filled the court room. He grabbed the baseball bat that was lying against the wall of the room, picking it up in case some of the unwanted idiots decided to try entering the court.

He swung the bat and hit a straggler walker that had somehow managed to crawl into the courthouse during their disappearance. His upperbody strength wasn't high, certainly, but adrenaline was such a strange and useful hormone in situations like these. Part of him couldn't believe such mayham lasted only a day. Not even that; just that morning everyone was safe and alive. Vivian, Alicia, Leann - so many losses, and countless more he didn't even know about. Today was a day of great loss, and he wondered that if Newnan didn't have helpful newbies like Zoie or the doctor inside - Froggy? - would they have even lasted this long? He'd stood by Ms Sally, later approached by Zoie soon enough.

He stood quietly, listening but fiddling with the bat in his hand. What could he have said in a conversation he was not a part of anyway? His mind wandered back to Meg again. Was she safe? Was she even still alive? Sidd had seen her in passing before she'd gone for the mission with Caesar, and then again with Ash. Both times she refused to talk, second time she didn't even know he was around. Was that how things were going to be? If she was dead, was the last time they talked going to be his last memory of her?

Speaking of Meg, Ash was finally inside the courthouse - so Newnan still had their leader for now. Ash's mention of Meg to Zoie was what calmed the twin a little. His confirmation that Meg was still alive and kicking. Seeing people act a lot calmer, Siddharth could only guess that Hell was finally over and Newnan was (partially) safe again. Or safe enough for him to look for her.

After looking throughout the death ridden town, Sidd eventually found his twin leaning against the wall in an alley, her head in her hands pushed between her knees. Sidd noted how she was curling in on herself, as if to hide herself from everyone else and to pretend she never existed. It was a form he recognised all too well. Saying nothing (really, it seemed like that was all he was good for), Sidd crouched beside her, his arm pressed against her so she could know exactly who it was.

It was a strange feeling, being a twin. He could simply sit beside her quietly and she'd just know it was him. It wouldn't take a word, not even a touch for Meg to know it was family right beside her.

"I watched him get bit." Came her muffled voice. Sidd looked over his shoulder at her dark hair without any words, just letting her talk it out. "Caesar. He helped me and got bit because of it. I saw Leann go down too. Shot. Right in front of me."

"It's not your fault, you couldn't do anything-"

"Really? Maybe not for Leann, but I could've helped Lorna or Caesar. I- I could've been more vigilant o-or less useless."

"You did all you could."

"I really haven't. I was out of my depth. I was supposed to be a driver, it was a simple task - but some asshat decided to shoot the tyres and force us to walk to the armoury. We lost so many because of him. And then Zoie decided to use herself as a distraction-- who would do that for people you don't know?" Meg looked up, running her shaky hand over her tangled, dirty hair and pulling the strands away from her face.

"It's over now, Noni. They were able to drive out the walkers and kill the intruders. We have one of them held hostage so we can find out whose idea it was to come here." Siddharth assured his sister, who didn't look very assured.

"Noni? Wow, I haven't heard that in a while." Meg let out an unimpressed snort, Sidd letting out a laugh in response.

"Well, you're still Noni to me."

Meghna's face fell again, and she looked away in the direction of a pebble not too far off from the two of them. "Why do you keep trying?" She asked. "Dad stopped trying, hell he didn't try in the first place, so why're you still trying to keep a relationship with me?"

"You're my sister," was the immediate response. Siddharth didn't think nor hesitate. "My twin. I won't give up on you. We're blood, Noni, and that's all we have in this godforsaken world."

There was a pause from both sides, before Siddharth cleared his throat and said the words that melted the hatred surrounding Meghna's heart.

"I'm here for you, Meghna, I always have been and I always will be."

POSEIDON SON COMIN' UP SOON... HOPEFULLY.

@lovely complex I don't mind if it's Mariana that had to stay back a year, especially since she's only been studying at the academy for 1 to 2 years now, so third year would be a better option for her ^^

She paced across her room, checking the dress from each possible angle and lighting before tossing the dress over her head into a pile of no's. "Analise, sweetie, is it really that necessary to make such a mess? I'm sure you've crumpled a couple of beautiful dresses already." Analise's mother piped up from her position on Anna's bed, watching the growing pile of discarded dresses warily.

Anna didn't respond, but she followed her mother's gaze to the pile with a wince before returning back to her tensed pacing around her room. Georgina Arnette sighed before standing up, walking towards her daughter and holding her still by her shoulders then forcing her to sit down on the bed. "That's enough pacing for you, I might have something for you in my closet."

"But m-"

"No buts, I'll be right back."

After a couple minutes of Georgina disappearing from Anna's bedroom, she returned with a box in her hand. Anna tilted her head, standing up again to give room for the box, which was placed on the bed. Anna took note of her mother's giddy grin - something that Anna inherited before going right in to open the box curiously.

Inside was a long, black dress with a short trail. The chest had a V-shaped lace design, and the skirt of the dress grew sheer the lower you went. On the back was another lacy design - this time of flowers and vines. It was a dress that Anna recognised, and she looked at her mother again. "Didn't you wear this for--"

"For my first movie premiere, yes. Do you like it?" Anna nodded, smiling as she brushed her hand against the fabric.

"Then wear it."

That was all the blonde girl needed; she took the dress and dashed off to the ensuite, changing out of her pyjamas and into her mother's soft dress. She came out of the bathroom minutes later, shyly twirling around in front of a full bodied mirror before facing her mother again.

"It looks wonderful, baby. Finish getting ready, your daddy and I need to take pictures~" Georgina clapped her hands, kissing her daughter's cheek before leaving her bedroom once again.

It took another half an hour for the blonde to finally finish getting her hair and make-up done. Once she was satisfied by the end result, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror before blowing a playful kiss. The sound of something hitting her window pulled her out of her playful mood, and she looked in the direction of it only to hear a muffled voice.

"Romeo, romeo, wherefore art thou?"

Anna laughed, recognising the voice immediately and heading towards the window to open it. She poked her head out, only to be ordered to go back inside by Jackson. "Why start that over? It was cute~" She teased as she leaned against the window frame. "You do realise you can come in, right? Actually- no, I'll come down to you right now! Hold on, I'm already ready anyway." In a hurry, she shut her window once more and rushed to pick up her small purse that kept her phone and medication before turning off the lights and dashing down the stairs towards the front door, passing by the servants almost clumsily as she did so.

"Anna where-"

"Jackson's here! I need to go!" Anna felt bad for not letting her mother take any pictures, but she didn't want to keep him waiting outside for too long. She slipped out the front door, shutting it behind her and leaning on the frame. "Okay, I highly recommend stopping me from running in heels. Especially if it involves me going up or down some stairs." Analise said, before giving Jackson a huge grin.

"You clean up nicely, Penguin~" And the teasing was back.

"Tum itna saj dhaj ke kidhar ja rahe ho?"

Lakshya adjusted the sleeve of his suit jacket, tugging the material together with a dark cufflink before doing the same to the other sleeve. "Homecoming, mausi; some dance to celebrate the football season, I think?"

There was a chortle from behind him, and Lucky turned to look over his shoulder to see Sana clutching her stomach and laughing. "I thought you were allergic to dressing nicely?" Lucky narrowed his eyes at his aunt before returning to fix his jacket. "Or maybe you're trying to impress someone?" Lucky could see the eyebrow wiggle and annoying smirk on her face despite not facing her; but his reaction (hmping and avoiding talking to her) was enough for another round of laughter from the overly joyous woman. "C'mon, at least loosen some of the buttons up; you're going to party, not to a business meeting."

Lucky took her advice, albeit reluctantly before straightening up. "I'll be back soon, probably. I don't know how long really, and it depends on how bad the get together is, but you don't need to stay up for me."

"Wasn't planning on it anyway. If you and your lady friend will need some private time, I won't disturb you." There was the annoying wink again before Sana dodged the pillow thrown by Lucky. "Okay okay! I'll be out of your skin now. Have fun! She called before escaping his bedroom.

He loved his aunt, he really did. But she was definitely a pain in the arse when it came to him. She knew that Lucky was easily riled up by her teases, she was his main tormentor when he was still a child living in India - and now he was living with her with no Swara to keep her tamed.

Lucky left the building minutes later, his hand tucked into his trouser pockets as he walked to the high school. There was no point paying for a taxi or an expensive limo to drive him only two blocks; it was a waste of money just to look pretentious. He arrived fifteen minutes later, the crowds slowly building up as students began arriving in their fancy cars and dresses or suits. He passed through the entrance, peering over the heads of the students and finding the person he was looking for leaning against a railing.

"Expecting me?" He asked Dominique, nodding his head in the direction of her phone with a smirk.

...At least she was honest. Lukas nodded along as she introduced herself quickly, and he wondered whether she'd said the exact same thing to her date the previous round. "No, not construction. I'm a chef at an Italian place known as Basil. Honestly I don't like dressing up this much but if I want to make a good impression then I feel like must."

"Well, I'm a single father, have a young son that I adore to bits. Unfortunately I don't enjoy reading the newspaper, I don't have that much time to do so but I'll check out your comic strip the first opportunity I have. I'm sure Brendan will enjoy it." He wondered if he was talking a bit too much about his son rather than about himself. Lukas rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, before continuing.

"I like cooking -- I mean, I wouldn't be a chef if I didn't but I find making food the best way to show my creativity. My drawing is atrocious, and I can't tell or write stories that well. I hope that one day I can start up my own restaurant, but that will only happen once I've improved my business skills."

"What do you like to do for fun?" He asked.

Krista smiled bashfully as Christian asked her for a picture. She rummaged through her purse and pulled out her phone, where she showed him the lock screen - it was of her and Bean lying on the grass on the park. Bean was a friendly brown and white Jack Russell, the kidney bean shaped spot of black fur on his back that you could briefly see in the picture.

"Tour guide? You really must love travelling a lot! Sadly I haven't had much of an opportunity to travel due to family issues and the lack of money. A start-up teaching salary doesn't pay as much as people say," She said, tucking her phone back into her purse.

"I just always knew I wanted to be a teacher." She responded, "I used to be the person that people would come up to for help with homework, and I used to tutor the children that I used to babysit while in high school. The teaching part is fun enough, sure, but grading can be quite the pain if you don't like sitting in one place for more than a few hours."

"Actually, I'm hoping to save up enough money so I can move to a new country to teach. It sounds both interesting and frightening all at once, but the sound of it is just thrilling to me. I haven't figured out quite the place yet, but maybe one day it can happen."

"What about you? Where have you travelled to so far?"
