My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

About Me
I'm just your average 9-5 schmuck. I do my work, pay my bills, and contribute what I can to society. I also happen to enjoy binge-watching/reading anime, manga/light novels, tv dramas, and pretty much anything that catches my interest. I'm also an avid gamer, my favorite genres tend to change with time. Right now it's probably JRPG, hack-slash, and fighting.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Shizuka pondered for a moment, walking closer to the fortress with the other members.

"I was thinking of using a disguise to pose as a merchant, but, I may have built up a reputation among the Varjan ranks at this point. They may recognize my face, so perhaps it's best for me to hide in the cart with the others. Unless, you have a mask or something I could borrow?" He said, looking to the short sake maker who he shared a name with.

He looked at Skarsneek, who offered a hand to Io to help her into the cart. Ultimately deciding against the disguise, Shizuka quickly hopped onto the cart along with them. The grace he executed the maneuver with didn't even cause the cart to rock.

"Well, shall we go? Even if the gig goes south, I don't doubt that I and the others can react in time to make a quick response."

"Ugh... Oaf!!" Atsuha snapped.

"Grin-san! Don't be rude to my Nee-san!" Hinami whined. Despite their mewling, the sisters had heard every word spoken by Kikyo. They both nodded in agreement to her proposal, also noticing that she was concern about Takeshi's absence.

"If the wait too long for the young lord to show, he'd perhaps wonder why we just sat and did nothing whilst the prisoners continued to suffer." Atsuha said. I'll scale the mountain and assist in freeing and arming the prisoners. The boorish brute can come along if he wants. Hinami, you stay here with Kikyo in case anything happens, be sure to assist her with anything."

"Aye-aye sister!" She responded with a cute salute.

Atsuha jetting out some webbing, attaching the other end to a craggy rock that jetted off of the cliffside. She carefully scaled the cliffside with the fine webbing, more durable than steel fiber. A little while after, she had made it to the top, standing on the fencing surrounding the fort. Quickly getting off, she scurried to the shadows, and attempted to scout out where the prisoners where being kept. They were several soldiers walking about, all of them fully armored and heavily armed.

Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly easy for a girl with a tree on her back to sneak around...

She did her best to find some weapons for the prisoners to utilize, all the while staying out of sight. Eventually making her way to a secluded part of the camp, she believed she had finally happened upon the prisoners. They were all housed in makeshift cages, clothed in worn rags. She had to be careful, even they likely wouldn't be pleased to see the presence of a mamono happen upon them, thus causing a commotion. She waited whilst the amount of guards hovering around the cages dwindled, and the couple that were left were distracted.

She silently broke the locks on each of the cages, then using her webbing, she placed the weapons she gathered during her trek at the feet of the freed prisoners. It was no time at all for the inmates to realize their new freedom, and they took the weapons and began their assault. Atsuha channeled the ofuda Kikyo had given her, and the ball of light quickly went up into the sky. No doubt the others would see, and thus the attack had begun.

Atsuha assisted the prisoners in their fight, but was sure to maintain distance and opted to cast long range magical attacks.

"Gracie, chierica" Lucrecia said to Madeline, catching the blade she tossed her way. A blessed weapon, eh? This certainly would've been useful earlier, she thought to herself. Although, if she had chosen her words more carefully earlier, this situation would've have happened in the first place. Lucrecia looked over at the child that was placed in Polina's care, believing she heard something mentioned about him being the son of Camio. Perhaps Lucrecia should apologize to the child later for upsetting his father so much.

She'd have to think about that later though.

Right now, Camio let loose more of his steel feathers at the pair, Madeline readied herself for the incoming attack. However, Cassandre strolled over and muttered some kind of incantation that caused the space between them and the Demon Lord to contort. The phenomenon caused the blades to stop dead in their tracks. Camio wasn't about to let that stop him, and used more feathers to give his claws long metal blades, swinging them down on Madeline.

Not missing a step, Lucrecia didn't feel as though she had much magic left, so she had to be careful. She cloaked her new blessed blade in a bit of ember and swung to meet Camio's slashing attack to defend the Churchwoman. Lucrecia was always one to return a favor.

Upon entering the mess hall, Leon would notice the room was relatively empty, save for one table where Eve and Lapis sat. They were eating dinner, but stopped and turned to look at Leon when they noticed him entering. Lapis had a look of concern, while Eve seemed to be a bit anxious.

”Oh, there you are.” Eve said. ”Donovan came by earlier and said that he wanted to talk to you about something, it was about the last mission we went on.”

”It sounded like you guys got in trouble.” Lapis chimed in. ”Wouldn’t it have been mainly your fault, Eve? Since you apparently blew it up? A blunder on your first mission isn’t a good look…”

”It wasn’t my fault!!” Eve whined. ”That Einer guy got injured and Leon and I were completely surrounded! I had to do something if we didn’t want to end up as target disks!” She angrily pointed her fork at Lapis, who held an expression of indifference at her friend’s plea of innocence.

”Anyway, he said the heart of the matter was an item that could halt mana flow within a given radius of its vicinity. Eve likely blew it up, as she does everything else, but he wanted to ask you since you were there as well.” Eve scowled at Lapis’s further remarks on her destructive tendencies.

”Umm…What made you decide to get all of those weird tattoos on your body? Is it a fashion statement, or is it a part of some new spell?”

Over in the kitchen area, humming and the sound of water and dishware could be heard. The water stopped for a moment and Bellum had walked into the mess to see Leon joining the others.

”Oh hi there!” She said cheerfully. ”I reckon you just got back from a mission. Well, I got plenty of steak and veggies to go around, help yerself!”

”Oh! Please don’t let it trouble you. All of you are really strong, and I’m sure that Sir Einer will make a full recovery.” Irma said, attempting to comfort her escorts. ”Sometimes, things out of our control happen, but that’s why I made sure to prepare accordingly."

Irma rubbed her cheek with a finger, blushing at Shavis’s words. ”Oh my! Um, to be truthful Lady Shavis, I’m not sure I could give you a proper bout. You give my abilities too much credit, and I’ve no doubt you’d shatter my blade with your fists!”

She then grew silent for a moment as Hector inquired into the identity of the earlier assailants.

”Yeah. Seems like whoever hired ‘em doesn’t take failure as an option.” Ruecian replied. ”Irma, as a noble, I feel like you’d be more valuable alive than dead, but it seems like you really pissed someone off. Do you know of any entities that oppose you in such a way?”

Irma broke her silence, her expression stern but somber. ”Truthfully, I actually have quite a few peers within my circle who would want me dead. You see, there’s an issue with…corruption within the ranks of the Flugell nobility. I’ve..made it a personal goal to combat it in any way possible. They would have more than enough resources and finances to hire well-trained fighters to do their dirty work, all the while keeping their hands clean in the matter.”

Rue’s face grimaced. Not so much the situation, but the mention of corruption in Flugell in general. That place brought back memories that he tried his best to forget.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel had turned at the outburst of a now awake Einer. ”Well yes, Sir Einer, it is true. As a noble, she of course knows how to use magic, and in addition knows well how to use it to defend herself with. But, please understand, Lady Irma has become the target of unsavory characters in higher society. They can hire very powerful fighters to complete a given task. In this instance, she suspected that during her trip her, she would be targeted by assailants. Unfortunately, we had no way of knowing how strong they’d actually be. However, she herself wasn’t deterred at that prospect, she wanted to fight with you all from the very beginning. I was the one to insist that she stay back and let you lot handle the situation. It wasn’t until your situation grew dire that she forwent my request and charged into the fray. Forgive me, but as her servant, I have to prioritize her well being in all instances.”

Eventually, the two arrived in front of the physician’s clinic. Upon entering, Nathaniel flashed a card of sorts to the desk clerk. A few moments later, they were seen after. The doctor was able to treat Einer’s injuries quite effectively, treating the irregular flow of mana that was preventing his shoulder being healed by Irma or Hector. The clinician gave Einer recommendations of rest, and gave them the ok to leave. Eventually, they made their way back to the rest of the group.

”Milday and fellow comrades, you will be pleased to know that the worst of Sir Einer’s wounds have been fully treated, and with a bit of rest he’ll make a swift recovery.”

Irma clasped her hands together as her expression became much brighter. ”That’s wonderful, Sir Einer I’m so glad! I was worried when mine and Hector’s magic fail to heal you in a meaningful way, but thankfully we weren’t too far away from town.

Nathaniel walked over to Irma and got close to her ear. ”Do not forget why we're here, Milady.” He said.

”Oh! Of course! Forgive me everyone, but Nathanial and I must attend to some business as part of coming here in the first place. We won’t be too long, I assure you.”

”No worries, that’s why we made sure to get you here in one piece.” Rue replied. ”Take your time.”

Irma and Nathaniel bowed and left for an establishment that was down the borough a little ways. It looked like a normal enough building, but they did notice there were much less people going in and out of it compared to those around it.

”Glad you’re OK, Einer.” Ruecian said to the young noble as they waited. ”Hector, I know that you got pretty banged up, but good work protecting him. To be honest, I’m not sure Shavis or I could’ve made it over to you guys in time…” He continued, scratching his head. ”I mean, I probably still would’ve been able to save you guys though, but...”

While they conversed, Irma was having a discussion of her own

After some time, Irma and Nathanial returned to the group. ”Our business here has concluded, and I think it’s time I got you all home now.” Irma said.

”Sounds good. Alright, you heard the lady, let’s saddle up.” Rue said.

The ride back to the Republic had remained uneventful the whole ride, without any interruptions from geared up death merchants thankfully. The sun was beginning to set, bathing the landscape in front of Morgenröte’s gates with a vermilion light.

”We’re back home, everyone.” Nathaniel said, signaling for everyone to exit the vehicle. Rue, Shavis, Hector, and a treated Einer now stood in front of Irma and her servant, both them with grateful looks on their faces.

”Everyone, I’d just like to thank you again on behalf of house Mohner for escorting us to and from our destination. The tactics and combat skills you displayed were nothing short of spectacular! Sir Einer, I apologize again that you were injured during the ordeal, and am overjoyed that you were able to recover! As for your payment, I’ve already made arrangements for the gold to be transferred directly to the Tower. Well…”

Irma paused for a moment, looking over everyone, Ruecian being the last one she looked at. Rue noticed, being puzzled by her gaze. ”Well, I do believe that just about covers everything. I expect great things from Eon, based on what I’ve witnessed today. I do hope we can continue to rely on your assistance in the foreseeable future. Until then, I hope you all have a good evening. Nathaniel, we’re heading home.” With a confirming nod, Nathaniel along with Irma made a polite bow at the team and entered back into their vehicle, driving back to her household.

Ruecian looked at the pair drive off, then turned back to the group. ”Alright, a job well done, team. Glad it seems like none of you are slacking on your training! Unless you guys have stuff to do somewhere else, I say we head back to the Tower. Got use some rest, especially Einer.” He said, motioning them to follow him back to Eon.

@Eviledd1984

Uskeche would find himself in the entrance hall of Eon, amongst the elaborate and ornate workings of the walls around him. In front of him was the master of the Tower and the one who escorted him here, Arteus Navarre Irvin, who up until this point had been out all day.

”Here we are at the Tower, welcome abroad!” Arteus said, welcoming the newest edition to the Eon. ”I can give you a full tour if you’d like, although it’s rather late in the evening and I’d imagine you may want to get settled in for the day.” He said in a jovial tone.

”I see that a good chunk of our new team members are here, perhaps you’ll get a chance to meet some of them. Speaking of which, Ruecian, your drill instructor of sorts, seems to be returning from a mission with his team.”

Indeed, Rue and co had made their way into the entrance hall, meeting eyes with Arteus and the curious magus Uskeche. ”Arteus, there you are!” Rue said. ”Brun mentioned that you’d be gone on business most of the day, more shit with the Association?”

”Something of the sort…” Arteus replied, in a rather foreboding tone. ”We’ll talk about it tomorrow. For now, I want to introduce everyone here to our newest member. That includes Xashan’s group.”

”Ugh, so even the furball joins us…” He whined.

”Nice to see you too, scale-shedder!” Retorted a familiar loud voice. Xashan, Scarlett, and Lupina had also returned to the Tower, having just got done with a dinner that had a check with too many digits… ”Master Arteus, see you made it back here finally! How’s your new friend?”

He is your new teammate and new member of the Tower, Uskeche.”

”I see, evening. I’m Ruecian Valeniquen, nice to meetcha. Try to get up in the morning on time and don’t slack off, and we should get along fine.”

”Aw, lay off the guy ya gremlin! Not everyone’s a fight nerd like you.” Xashan jeered.

”Oh, sorry, guess I should be a loud-mouthed himbo like you then?” Rue retorted.

”Ahem. Uskeche, don’t mind the nonsense from these two. We here at Eon pride ourselves on a team-oriented environment. I have to head to my office for the time being, but Uskeche, feel free to make yourself at home. Thankfully I was able to show you were your quarters and the mess hall are, so do as you please. Do remember that we have an inspection from the Church coming up as well.”

With that, Arteus in a violet veil, leaving the others to their devices.

Kiff paused for a moment at Damian’s inquiry, the mention of the subject matter and Kiff’s reaction raised Naomi’s curiosity.

”Voidal…?” Kiff said. ”Hmm…I believe I may have heard that name mentioned once or twice throughout the years. As for my actual understanding of the language, I’m afraid it’s more or less non-existent. But! Perhaps some of my more ‘aged’ tomes could be of help!” With another wave of his hand, Kiff caused some books to shuffle off of the shelves in the back, with a couple of books being pulled over to him. ”Here, feel free to peruse, hopefully you find something of value.”

As Damian looked through the dusty old books, he found himself having to shuffle through a good majority of the pages without finding anything of real substance. However, eventually, he stumbled upon something that set off a switch in his mind.

Naomi noticed, inching closer to Damian’s person and looking at the book with him.

”Mr. Damian, what is it? Did you find something?”

Shit!

Lucrecia made a mental swear. Her gambit did its main job, which was to separate her from the not-so-lordly lord. However, she wasn't stupid. She understood that none of her attacks up to this point had so much as tickled the demon. She clicked her tongue again at his sneering taunts, knowing there was some truth in his words.

Sorry Polina, looks like I messed up...

Unfortunately, their friend was beyond reasoning with, all he wanted was blood now. He charged at Lucrecia with great speed, his serated and lanky body covering the distance within a few moments. Lucrecia channeled fire through her blades and prepared to meet when...

Lucrecia turned to see that the two church officials had found their way here. The warrior maiden, Madeline, had ignored Cassandre's words and charged straight for Camio with her weapon. Rather reckless, but Lucrecia certainly wasn't in a position to critique. At the very least, Madeline would be better equip to deal with him then the Maison team was.

Kirei got up from his sitting place and made his way over to Varã and Vivian, the latter violating the personal space of the demoness. ”My, my, I suppose it's good to see new members getting along so fast!” He said in a jovial tone. ”Apologies for not formally introducing myself. As the appointment captain of this force, it's quite unprofessional.” He removed his hood, revealing his snow white hair. ”My name is Kannazuki Kirei, it's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Vivian of...Lyonesse, was it? It seems the other two ladies decided to show themselves to the mess quarters, pity. As long as they don't cause a ruckus, I see no problems. In the meantime...”

Kirei then turned to Takeshi, who stated he would go looking for this Kikyo character - person of great importance to the young lord. A budding lover, perhaps? Nyla had quickly decided that she would accompany the lord on this task, as it would likely be too dangerous for him to go alone.

”Make that three.” He said to Takeshi, walking up to both him and Nyla. ”I would much like to continue discussing the situation of the island with the young lord, captain-ly duties and all that. Plus, I feel that he'd benefit greatly having my blade at his side.”

The Umbra Witch also introduced herself formally, but didn't deign to get up from where she sat. ”I suppose I should also set a better example, as a representative of the Witch Association. Greetings, my name is Lavinia Isabella, some know me by my moniker the Umbra Witch. Don't get too hung up on that though, as I'm sure we'll become fast friends. I'm familiar with your kind, Lady Lyonesse, though you may not have heard too much about mine. Nonetheless, welcome to the taskforce! Let's work well together, shall we?” At that point, she got up on her feet, making her way toward the southwest exit of the dojo.

”This Takamori fellow sounds interesting, perhaps my archery skills we'll be enough to win him over to our side. Of course, I have other methods of 'persuading' him if need be.” Lavinia understood very well the nature of the island, and the relationship it had with yokai. Perhaps it was her nature as a mamono, or her pride as a witch, but something about that made the challenge even more tantalizing. Beside, this seemed like it was going to be a treacherous job, so she might as well flirt with a strong male to lighten up the mood. Plus, a part of her was curious to find out if his eyes could see throuugh her darkness.

She then made her way toward the direction Takeshi mentioned his dojo would be located. Whether anyone followed her or not.

Terauchi Temple: @PaulHaynek @The Irish Tree(Vivian)

"H-Hey! Just what is the meaning of this?!" Varã exclaimed, quite exasperated at Vivian's close inspection of her person. It was unknown to the fire noble that those of the Glacies species feed off of heat, so it was no wonder why Vivian fluttered around her like a butterfly on a flower. ”Dirt and gravel exist nowhere within the fashion of the Riemsianne household, I assure you! Now, please getting so close to me! It's rather uncomfortable and...people might start to get the wrong idea... I mean, I don't swing that way, but I've never actually tried it before...

Before she realized it, half of the taskforce was already preparing to leave the temple to do their part in aiding the natives, with the other two sisters having made their way into the mess hall. She attempted to recall Takeshi's description of all of the allies who didn't join the battle at Sanjo, but got stuck an a specific term.

”Umm...what's a ronin?” She ask, head tilted with an expression of confusion.

"A wandering samurai." Kirei answered. "More specially, it is a warrior who no longer pledges their blade to a master, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, and let the winds take them wherever. Essentially, a vagabond fighter. Such a thing is rather frowned upon in society."

Kirei's explanation, while easy enough to follow, caused Varã to frown a bit herself. She imagined that must've meant that Kazenosuke had left the Oja family's service to live as a hermit in the woods. Why would anyone do such a thing, and it was especially frustrating in the island's time of need! At that moment, she had made up her mind.

"Such behavior will not be tolerated! I'm going to go find this Kazenosuke fellow and insist that he join us, even if I have to drag him back here by his ear!" She said, practically storming off down the river. While she wouldn't admit it, another reason why she chose to seek out the ronin was because Takeshi also stated that he lived closest to the temple. Unfortunately, in her tirade, she didn't even consider Takeshi's statement that he was an incredibly powerful swordsman. Her impulsivity may have led her to a rude awakening, if Takeshi's warning was to be taken seriously.

Komatsu Bay: @PaulHaynek@The Irish Tree(Lili)@Crowvette@Restalaan(Skars)

In the few hours leading up to the operation, Shizuka opted to bathe, eat a little bit, and provide any relief assistance that was possible for the refugees and workers on the temple grounds. He was still a bit on edge, knowing that while they could stay here anymore, staging a relocation would have to be put on hold. Hopefully, after their defeat, Varjan forces wouldn't waste their resources staging another attack and would focus their efforts elsewhere.

--

Following the directions given by Ayu, Shizuka and the group trek on the Vermillion hued landscape until Komatsu was just within reach. Eyeing a peasant house, he along with the others heard Ayu arguing with someone. Upon entering, they would see the other person was a short and portly man - whose name just so happened to also be Shizuka...

This certainly won't create any confusion or unforeseen circumstances down the road... Kannazuki thought to himself.

They appeared to be arguing over the details of the operation, about which it was planned that the shorter Shizuka would smuggle them into the bay under the guise of delivering sake. Apparently, Ayu's confidant was a rather skilled swindler and smuggler. The others offered alternate means to infiltrate the bay, based on their respective skillsets.

"I don't mind spiking their drinks, but rather not to anything to poison the water supply here." He said. "If there are any innocents there, they'll be affect as well." He then turned to Io, with stern eyes. "I'd rather you not create a small army of undead, it doesn't paint a good picture." Shizuka said solemnly.

"Ultimately, Ayu-san has the final say with what plan we go with. I don't mind posing as a delivery man with Ayu-san or...Shizu-san." He then placed his hand on his sword. "Skars-san, you can carry my blade with you, if you plan on sneaking in on your own. Should be easier than carry another person on your back."

Fort Tanabe: @PaulHaynek@Restalaan(Grin)

Following Lady Kikyo, ignoring the dagger-like gazes she shot them on occasion, the party were led through the winding mountain paths and plateaus until eventually Tanabe Fort was within view. Atsuha recalled the information that Kikyo gave them prior, the fort was stationed on a high plateau with only one road that led in and out. The cliff were also indeed stiff. However, to a being like Atsuha, that meant very little.

"I don't think that'd be too difficult. My name is Atsuha, by the way, Gringor..." She responded, in somewhat of an exasperated tone. "If I can climb into the fort without being seen, I should be able to create an opening in which everyone else can enter."

She turned to Kikyo, gesturing on the sakura tree that grew on her back. "This plant I have on my person produces special petals that can induce drowsiness and delirium in people. With the guards incapacitated, I feel that should make it somewhat easier for you to enter and recuse the prisoners."

"Yep! Since my sister's a spider, she can climb on just about anything! Grin-san and I are pretty strong too, so um, maybewe could climb up too...?" Hinami said, beginning to scratch her head while pondering.

"Tch!"

Lucrecia clicked her tongue; Nothing the accented maid did had barely scratched Silxtratch, her tactics only serving to further anger the demon Lord. As his ire grew, with it came more drastic changes to his physiology. At this point, he really did look the part, gone his handsome and sharp features on display during the ball. She had barely dodged the lord's slash, a bit of blood had dripped from the small cut on her neck.

Unfortunately, her gambit didn't work either, as with a larger and more developed claw he powered straight through Lucrecia's fire burst. The bed was now split cleanly in half, laying on opposite sides of the floor. Lucrecia's vision was blocked out by the menacing appendage speeding toward her.

She didn't have time to think, only act. She didn't even pay any attention to Polina who was observing from the sidelines. In an attempt to gain some distance between them. Lucrecia charge a large chunk of blaze in her dual pistols, and aimed them at the ground below them. She hoped that the blast generated would at least be enough to knocked them away from each other.

She may be a bit cinged from the blast, but it likely wouldn't be worse than the alternative.

Lucrecia certainly didn't expect the situation to escalate to this degree...

It seems her last comment struck quite the nerve with the head of the household. "Funny, I did not think your kind was capable of love for another. Although, I believe our views on courtesy differ considerably.!" She responded. Her words confident, Lucrecia still had to consider the situation she was now in. Her usual means of combat proved ineffective at her current adversary, and she would now be forced to use an alternative means of attack she is rather unfamiliar with.

She would have to think quickly and methodically. Polina, unfortunately, had been completely thrown out of the room, so counting on backup was for now out of the option. It was just her and Silxtratch, and while he was a lesser noble he was still a force to be reckoned with. For now, she'd have to find an opening and use whatever means necessary to her advantage.

She would attempt to use the remains of the burnt mattress from earlier to work in her favor. She would hopefully be able to dodge his forward charge, then kick the bedding his way as a distraction. Then, having created an opening, she would shoot a well-placed salvo of ember straight in his mouth. Having understood that physical weapons do very little to him, magic was her best bet at the current moment.
Kirei, Vară, & Lavinia

Janus' Campsite

@PaulHaynek@Rune_Alchemist

Vară, after hearing Janus's thoughts, was perhaps filled with a closure of sorts. As Lavinia said, feeling guilty on Sidonus's death would do nothing but dishonor it. It was best to ensure that he will was carried on by those who were still here, her included of course. However, just as soon as her spirits were lifted, they were just as soon shot down again. Apparently, the only ones riding on a horse was Lord Takeshi with Nyla being his riding partner. Vară, Lavinia, and Kirei, would have to ride in the wagon with Janus as the driver. The fire demon made a face, which was accompanied by a groan as she load up with the others.

"Aw, don't be upset, sweetie. At least we get to ride with two fine specimens of the opposite sex~" Lavi mused to her fiery teammate, which caused her to blush suddenly.

"Wahh! You can't just say things like that! I'm a noble lady, y'know?! I have to approach these things with a more dignified demeanor! even if what you're saying is true..."

Kirei did little except laugh at their exchange. "Fair enough, Janus-san. Just lead the way." He responded to his fellow warrior. It was a tight fit, and Vară and Lavinia blushed a bit during the ride, but the group eventually made their way toward their destination.

Terauchi Temple

@Enkryption@The Irish Tree

The trip to the temple was uneventful for the most part, mainly just consisting of taking in the countryside and seeing the occasional group of locals onlooking from the roads. Kirei, having not been in Zipangu for quite sometime, couldn't help but be absorbed in the scenery of his homeland. Though, he'd never been to Shizuyama before. Eventually, they arrived on the temple grounds, marked by numerous native structures and golden leaves. Vară seemed to be quite fascinated with the scenery, whereas Lavi maintained a cool air about her. It was hard to tell what she was feeling sometimes, due to that mask she never took off.

The group was greeted by a young woman wearing bandages and a green robes that gave her the appearance of a ninja or some other fighter.

"Ohayo!" Kirei said. "Name's Kannazuki Kirei, nice to meet ya! Then again, I'm pretty sure you already knew that. Kyouko-san seems to have much respect for you. You're good at what you do, yeah?"

The group had there attention arrested by a flash of light from one of the pagodas. From it, emerged three individuals. Three mamono appeared from the flash, obvious new members of the taskforce. Kirei and Lavi bade a friendly wave.

Vară, flustered over her appearance, quickly wiped off any dirt or grim that accumulated on her dress and hair. She then gave a proper greeting to the trio.

"Greetings new members, before you stands Vară Riemsianne, a demon noble whose name shall soon be known far and wide. Umm, please pay no mind to any dirt or spots you see on my person. The elements certainly aren't know for their mercy..."
