Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 23 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but can find myself interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Marvel, and Souleater but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. If you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

Welcome, hope we cross paths on this guild!
Rala's eyes widened as she realized how out of her element she truly was. While she did not know much about magic, it was common knowledge that wish magic was unparralled in its power. She shuddered at the prospect of dealing with an enemy capable of wishes, what else could the manage? It quickly became clear to here why these slaves had been so easily swayed towards their work. How would you even begin to defy a being that dangerous? Dejected and frustrated, she let out a heavy sigh of defeat and slumped her shoulders as her compatrioits continued to talk and bicker between one another.

Just as Rala began to lose hope, however, Aura was quick to remind them that they had friends in high places as well. Her father, her patron, could reasonably be just as powerful as the evil Djinn and this seemed to reignite the fires in Rala, a small glimmer of hope perhaps, but enough to get her back into the conversation.

"How exactly would we get to your father anyway? If he's anything like these two, he isn't even on this plane!" She asked with a small bit of bitterness to her voice, but was quick to try to move on to a lighter note.
"In any regard, it's all the more reason for us to make haste. If your father got an invitation we can only that Tymora Blesses us and he hasn't decided to join any side yet"

With her thoughts on the matter made apparent she turned to the men and women working on repairing what they destroyed.
"Thank you for your answers, I sincerely hope you can make your way home soon"
Always down for more super hero stuff!
Oof sorry, didn't mean to keep you all waiting let me start thinking on what Rala will say. Shouldn't take me more than a day or two
Oh my bad. I wasn't sure and got scared.
@FalloutJack I think I edited that out didn't I?
Secret ID: Jeremy Hendrix
Alias: Purple haze
Age: 18
Home Location: Bludhaven
Powers:

poison tolerance: As a poisonous person himself, Jeremy is capable of dealing with inhuman levels of poisons and toxins. This all but stops him from feeling drunk or high, but more over means that even a lethal does of something that would be toxic to someone such as bleach or gasoline will only leave Jeremy feeling sick.

Mist form: When Jeremy changes forms, he becomes a large cloud of purple mist. This mist can move to encompass an area as big as 2,500 feet and obscures all sight within it. Jeremy is capable of forming individual parts of his body in this form, allowing him to throw punches or speak well in this form. Furthermore, anyone who inhales this mist will struggle to breathe, feel a deep pain in their lungs, and even see hallucinations of Jeremy all around them for up to 8 hours after being exposed to the mist. All clothes or items he was holding that aren't over 20 pounds will disappear with him. This does not include metal or living things.

Weaknesses:
Uncontrollable: Without a special watch designed to keep him in his human form, Jeremy is not able to contain his mist form. If the device were to be taken from him, damaged or otherwise no longer there, he would not be able to return to being a human, and eventually might just drift away to who knows were,

Literally a stiff wind: Jeremy in his mist form is ultimately at the whims of the wind. Indoors his power is amazing but outside, his power becomes entirely weather dependent. If there is a storm or heavy winds he might as well be a citizen. Furthermore, foes that can create a strong wind will be able to push Jeremy out of the way.

Equipment:
Gas bombs: Oracle has helped Jeremy store up the poisonous gas he creates, and this has allowed him some level of usefulness outside of his mist form. These gas bombs have a mix of his own mist with other dangerous chemicals to help deal with much more resistant foes.

Baseball bat: It's not pretty, but Jeremy needs some kind of weapon for when his power is rendered useless. It isn't much, but with no training with guns and no training with other weapons, a baseball bat does the job when he needs it to. Just hope he isn't going after Bane.

Appearance:

Personality: A daredevil, jokester, excitable but genuine and Guileless
BRIEF Bio: A powerplant janitorial worker who unintentionally exposed himself to radiation and gamma rays do to his own lack of attention to his safety. Surprisingly, rather than killing him gruesomely this only instigated his change into a cloud of mist and awakened his powers. At first, Jeremy did not know how to control his powers and unintentionally roved around Bludhaven as a new threat. Eventually, with the help of various heroes, he was given a device to help him control his power, and in doing so, he was also suggested to join a team under the implication that learning to use his powers could help him learn to control them.

Jeremy adjusted the watch attached to his wrist until it snuggly fit around his dark skin. Nervously he kept his eyes fixated on it and away from the team of heroes and STAR labs scientist staring him down. They all seemed to be awaiting some sort of response for their heroics, something he knew they deserved but dreaded saying. With a heavy sigh he finally put his hands back at his side and looked up to them.

"Thank you. I don't know what would have happened if-" He began, but was cut off by one of the metahumans surrounding him.
"We all struggle with our powers in one way or another. We're just glad no one was hurt"

Jeremy let out a nervous chuckle in response. sure, he hadn't caused any physical damage to anyone but he had heard the screams and he knew exactly what he had done to his fellow citizens of Bludhaven. They would need therapy for years, and he might too, the panic in their voices and the gagging and coughing, it was all seemingly too much for him to bare. nevertheless he kept a brave face, giving the crowd a cheeky grin.
"So now what? I don't think I'm going back to that powerplant. Do I just start searching for a new job?" He added snarkily.

The group around him pondered in a painful silence. The scientist began to leave to let the metahumans work out their own issues. Finally, after a staggeringly long moment of thought one of the heroes spoke up, softly at first but quickly gaining some level of confidence in their idea.
"you know, I heard that a friend in Gotham was looking for some metahuman protectors. You've got a very powerful ability, you should use it for good!" She said with an optimistic gleam in her eyes. The other heroes eyed him with more scrutiny. He knew what they wanted to say: 'It's the least you can do to make up for the pain you've caused'. Worse yet, he couldn't deny it either. This was his turning point, the time when he decides whether he goes villainous or heroic, as he had long since cast aside any chance of living a normal life in Bludhaven. His face was plastered over the news, and he didn't have the drive or the money to start anew. Especially knowing a watch was all that stood between him and another outbreak.

"Well..." Jeremy begrudgingly spoke up.

Present day

Oracle's words caught Jeremy off guard. He had been fiddling with the watch on his hand idly, a nervous tick he had procured over the past few weeks. Having never met this 'Gemini' character he merely grimaced at the loss. Another hero was swallowed up and tossed aside by this dreaded town. Since he had gotten here all he could think was that Gotham was a truly hellish town. How people still managed to live here baffled him. He kept a brave face, but he couldn't help but frown as the others in the HQ broke down. Some went to sulk in their rooms and others openly wept. A pang of guilt hit him when he realized how little he was reacting. The hero-to-be procured a cigarette from his pocket, flicked a match across one of his combat boots, and lit it. Oracle had advised him not to smoke here, but given the circumstances he felt he could make an exception this one time. A small puff of smoke filled the common room and quickly dissipated as the ventilation sucked it up.

"What's going on here," Travis asked as he cracked open the soda can. "Ya'll are acting like somebody died or something"

A half-hearted scoff came deep within Jeremy at Travis' reaction. He replied to the young man, hoping to keep anyone from being in the dark. He didn't need them going around making people feel worse with his ignorance. Luckily Tiara answered for him.

Hearing it said out loud. Again made the young hero feel the harsh truth first hand. He choked him up just saying it. It could have been any one of them, even himself.
"I think it's worth giving him a moment of silence. He had a good heart, from what I've heard" He added solemnly. The moment of silence did not last long though, as another hero emerged from the quarters with a rage in his heart and a burning passion in his eyes. He clearly hadn't taken the news well.
“I don’t care what the Wizard of Oz says. Gemini was my brother. I’m going after this armored nutjob. Who’s coming with me?” Bolt asked the group.

Jeremy raised his fist, ready to show his allegiance to the reckless plan. Ever the bombastic daredevil he was eager to risk it all. Fortunayely, Tiara was quick to interject. The young man sighed as he listened to her try to reason. Shaking his head he harshly disagreed.
"We've got numbers and some gnarly powers. We can't just sit on our asses and wait, what's the point of a metahuman super squad if we don't deal with troublemakers like him" he interjected with a wavering smile.
"Besides, electricity powers to zap the cyborg, me to fill his lungs with toxins, we only need a few more guys and a sick plan to take him out, right Bolt" he asked with his best attempt at rationalizing his plans.
