I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.
Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss
Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)
Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.
Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.
RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.
As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.
RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.
And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.
Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.
Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...
Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.
Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.
Very happy to see I won't be the only one joining. My entry is almost done. I'm just waiting for the weekend when I have some time to look over it ONE LAST TIME before submitting it. Hard to find time to work on contest entries when you've got so many RP obligations to write for. But I should be done well before the deadline.
Luana didn't look any more pleased with her majesty. ”So, you know druidic magic as well?” She pursed her lips tighter. ”I’m well aware I’m not a master at it. I suppose I could try. I mean, if you don’t want to.” What more could Luana say? She told the queen the limits of her abilities, but it seemed like she wanted her to try anyway.
As soon as they got to the keep, Luana broke off and approached the corpse of the great dragon. She walked past everyone without as much as making eye contact with them. She looked at the creature with a steely gaze. It’s one remaining eye looking back at her. Neither of them blinked, even as it continued to rain ash.
The first thing Luana did was consult her spear. The interesting part wasn’t what she saw, but what she didn’t see. The dragon came from the mountains just like everyone had predicted, but it seemed that the spear was having a hard time showing her Reinhardt as the dragon’s flames washed over him. Surely he survived the attack somehow, but it was curious that her spear couldn’t discern it. Endless Eclipse had never failed to show her anything, so this was very strange to see.
”Alright you overgrown lizard, Let’s see what my magic tells me.”
It was weird to use her magic like this. She hadn’t been trained for it, and she had never fought anything quite like it either. So instead she used her magic to communicate with the earth itself. She could feel the surrounding dirt trying to communicate back. Then the distant trees. But while Luana had been a resident of a forest she never considered herself its neighbor. She felt like a foreigner, bumbling around and barely able to communicate with anything. But the world was at least reacting to her. When she looked up at the dragon though, there was none of that. It nor the flames didn’t resonate the same way the trees did, or even the dirt under her feet. And then it clicked for her.
Neither the fire nor the dragon were made from the earth, they were made by something else.
With a sigh, Luana lowered her hand. If Sorcha knew druidic magic, maybe Luana would be capable of learning some of it. But for now, she could tell that there was something very wrong with this dragon.
”By Aigorost's twenty-one eyes…”
Luana marched back towards the group. Unlike before though, she kept her eyes squarely on Reinhardt ”Not to rain on any hearts or anything…” Once she had approached the group, she looked at everyone present. ”But there’s something very wrong with that dragon. I would deal with everything you cut from it with extreme caution. I would recommend on holding off on processing it until we’ve had time to search the mountains.” She looked back at Reinhardt. ”When that giant lizard breathed fire on you, what happened?”
A wink from Nefer, an outburst from Oliver, a wild look from Mayra, and a complement from her boss on a job well done.
Mac didn't respond to any of it.
Iron Mouse scrambled to get into the car with the others before they drove out of town. For a job well done, it didn't feel like she had done that much. Yes, they had done a number on wonderlands soldiers, but it seemed like she had plenty more of those. Aside from buying time for beacon, it didn't seem like they had accomplished much of anything. Then again, "not much" could be looked at as significant when you were handicapped and your opponent was cheating. Sometimes there was no shot at certain victory, only margins of defeat.
The seating arrangement was just as confusing as it had ever been. Mouse had urged everyone into the back before getting in herself. She was seated in Oliver's lap and Mayra and Finn were sitting side by side, both holding onto Finn's head with all their might. Everyone seemed to be feeling a bit different. Mayra and Nefer seemed to be in high spirits, but Oliver and Finn were devastated. It was hard not to share in her fellow agent's discomfort. Mac didn't know any of them that well, but she at least knew Oliver was a good guy and didn't deserve to experience what was happening to him. Sure, Finn didn't have his head, but Oliver was easily more upset. Something happened to his friend that he wasn't able to prevent.
And of course, she was technically deceiving all of them. She'd come clean as soon as she returned to Cradle's HQ.
Did Cradle have an HQ?
She looked over her shoulder just in time to see the mad scientist lady get injured, laugh in her rival's face, and depart. Mac felt like that had some sort of significance, but with her third eye deactivated she couldn't really appreciate what had transpired.
"Well.” Iron Mouse finally spoke up. "Not everything went according to plan, but we've got one thing going for us.” Iron Mouse reached over and patted Mayra on the head. "I think we can all agree this girl's a massive upgrade from Justine.”
In an RP, NPCs and the like are usually GM controlled. Are there any characters in the scene that are off limits or can we "take control" of the scene as we see fit?
Is successfully completing the objective required for the contest?
After Luana explained how she could learn more about the attacks, it seemed her traveling company already knew what had caused the fire. ”This was just a test?” She pursed her lips. ”Your grace, I think you may be overestimating my druid magic. I only know enough to let me turn into common animals and grow plants. Inferring anything about the land or flames would have to be done through my spear or good old fashioned leg work. If the creature is slain and the body's location found there is little I can help with.” She had to question Aigorost's decision to have her swear fealty to the queen, but decided there wasn't much to be done about it now. It was natural to be curious of a new member's abilities.
But before long they were shuffled off to the fort. Not much to report here. Being a hunter, Luana had seen many large creatures being proccessed, so the great Wyvern was of little interest to her. But being of little interest still made it more interesting than everything else going on. Just pleasantries between acquaintances, none of which offered Luana as much as a hello. But maybe that was normal for royalty? It seemed they were getting closer to the fort, which would present more opportunities to cause some light hearted havoc examine things closer.
Luana’s eyes scanned the burned landscape. Her eyes were squinted, but it wasn’t clear if it was the heat or a tiny detail she was trying to spot. Ash still fell from the sky, and some of it settled on Luana’s head. But the queen’s words snapped her out of her focus.
”I’ve determined that the forest was definitely burned by something!” She nodded, as if proud of the discovery. ”Though such destruction is not wholly unusual, even without the presence of fire breathing lizards, a single lightning bolt is enough to start a smoldering fire. If conditions are right, the fire can get hot enough that the heat alone will cause the surrounding trees to catch fire. I’ve heard of it happening in forests, and the hunters within described it as a racing wall of fire. Inhaling the heated air is enough to scar your lungs. Impressive stuff! ” She looked back towards the charred landscape. ”If you wanted to know where this fire started, I could go to a ‘burning’ area and follow the fire’s path back to its ‘burnt’ origin to find out what direction these wyvern came from. And if we found multiple sources it could suggest…” She trailed off. ”I would recommend talking to the locals and get a few eyewitnesses accounts of what’s been happening. I don't know how long ago the great Wyvern came through here, or even if this was from the more recent attacks. Getting a bit more information would make finding our mark easier.” She looked at the head of her spear. ”Though I could also confirm real quick if this fire was started by a Wyvern right now.”
@Ponn Oh yea, that's a fantastic waifu! You can put her in the character tab if you want. You can also put your character sheet there too, but I won't force you. but you're clear to start posting!
