Current -17 F. Can we just build a series of tubes? To take us places.

It was -3 F when I left, this morning. The winds were breezy. I can only assume that, because I didn't freeze on the return trip, the sun improved things.

Bio

I'm a generally chill gremlin that can be kinda particular. I grew up with plenty of electronics and video games, mostly with games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. I like to blend magic and technology in my writing, bringing fantasy into space and sci-fi.

Trinity Stratos

"I've got mine." She pulled the small crystal out of a pocket to show before depositing it again. Before she could say more, Damian began. She didn't think the idea was to split up, but she couldn't disagree with him, either. And yet, "just because we don't intend to split up doesn't mean we won't get separated. It's a good thing to check for."

As she listened to Damian continue, it got her thinking. She turned to Penny, smiling softly. "Hmm. Offense, and Defense? Penny, maybe we should start teaming up?" She gave the woman a smile, before she lifted her hand toward the shining, blazing golden emblem. Enough theatrics, then. She shot it with a finger gun and the emblem explodes prettily into sparkles, which then get sucked into her outstretched hand. A golden orb formed, a brighter color than it was before. She would absorb it slowly, while they talk.

"Sounds like we all agree we should use the buddy system. Dibs Penny. It's a great chance to scope out our teamwork potential." She nodded matter-of-factly, before Making herself a low ledge to lean on with her elbow.
Yay I posted.
Trinity Stratos

The excursion to the airship the previous day had not been too fruitful. The damage to the stabilizers had been pretty bad, and they'd need new material to fix it. She could probably piece together the magic circles if she could get a good look at the four different machines, but just looking at the first one had taken some time. Then Kregor showed up and it was time to go. So they went.

This morning had another surprise for her. They were losing a team, and now she was part of the half to take the guild forward in the games. Through the final day, even, a very important event. "I guess I'm glad they've got so much faith in me... I'll have to make sure it's a day to remember Phoenix Wing."

The symbol Penny made in the air left an impression, but... it was missing something. The wizardess walked out calmly, to stand with Penny, but first took a moment to examine the symbol on the ground. This would have to be detailed. "For our symbol, foretelling our victory, a brilliant golden alloy of smok" With a clap of Energy Make, Trinity captures Nolan's smoke in a sphere, before molding the smokey golden object into their symbol, suspending it in the air. "Penny, if you would? It must burn with our passion. A spark will suffice."
That is... an expensive dud.
Yeah, I'll catch it up after work.
Private Durandal

Durandal had positioned herself away from the window, to let someone with a proper gun up, to fire on their retreating enemy. She loaded another mortar round to her lance, but found their role in combat had come to an interlude. She took the opportunity to steady herself; even years of her mother's martial arts training had not prepared her for war. Though she understood the skills she had to be lethal, they had been... studied... as a (albeit strict) form of art. An artist, not a warrior, though there were chunks of the latter that came as inseparable from the art itself.

Regan stopped her thoughts. She was about to become philosophical in a dangerous place. She finished cleaning her sword, sheathed it, and gathered her equipment to await rendezvous on the first floor. She found herself a Lilly. Something had happened to her squad leader's mentality during the fight. "Jatmoore," she approached slowly as she spoke, not wanting to potentially startle her, "holdin' up alright?"

It wasn't long before Hunt showed up, however. A quick rally later and they had new orders. As Regan moved to form up on Jatmoore, she took stock of her surroundings, and it struck that this used to be someone's home. People lived here...

Stay focused. She was becoming acutely aware of the mental strain she was enduring. Twice now, her mind had started to wander. However, with any luck, she could get rest enough to gather her thoughts after this battle. A good evening's meditation should fix what ails her.
I'm here. Just need to sit and actually write a post.
*tumbles about*

Maybe I should just do some Nightshade stuff?
Because you hate yourself and you don't want any more sales.
@Lunarlors34
That's unfortunate.
