Quirk Description
Clifford accumulates a peculiar crystalline substance on his skin, typically along bones and not so much on his joints or places that he bends at. It isn't that the crystals don't accumulate in these places, just that any buildup is quickly shaken off as he moves. Though he is able to easily dislodge the crystals, himself, they are very difficult to remove by exterior force. Combined with their hardness, these properties make the substance effective armor.
The crystals themselves are formed from excess energy in his body, almost as though his body is storing energy in this way, instead of as fat. They can be used as a power source, with the right equipment. He can eat the crystals for an energy boost, and also press them together with enough effort. The crystals can absorb energy like heat or sunlight, and will grow slowly in response, over the course of days or weeks. Similarly, the crystals shrink as they emit power. Additionally, they contain an energy matrix of sorts, allowing things like data storage.
Name: Trinity Stratos Age: 21 Birthday: 4/27 Magic: Energy Make - Energy Make is a very volatile Make Magic. Due to its volatility, it is able to accomplish a great variety of things, from explosions to locomotion, and even flight. Raw magic power is it's substance, and Trinity must maintain her focus on a made object for it to remain extant. Secret One: Moving Make - Energy Make, as a volatile, fluid make, can move like water and create a locomotion effect. Secret Two: Pressure - By concentrating or vacating magical energy, a positive or negative pressure effect can be created. Secret Three: Siphon - Usually done with a needle-like Make tool, or by touching a source of magical energy, Energy Make can steal magical energy. It uses the previous two secrets. Arrows Magic - Using the Rainbow Quiver, Trinity can conjure various kinds of arrows. Elemental arrows are a staple, but she can also conjure things like arrows that become nets to ensnare, or a beacon and homing arrows. She can even make special arrows by combining Arrows with Energy Make, like the Love Arrow that gives some of her magic power to someone else. If she needs, Energy Make can draw from her vitality to make the True Love Arrow, capable of healing. That may be a technique she can still perform. Bard's Legerdemain - Trinity can still manage to control instruments with her Bard's Legerdemain. While previously, she could coordinate an entire orchestra, she can only do three instruments at most anymore. Solar Make - Trinity can grab light, in particular the light of the Sun, and use that as a material for Make, as opposed to using magical energy. Other light sources tend to be weak, but will work. Energy Manipulation - The barest form of Energy Make. Trinity is able to feel the flow of magic in her surroundings. When it is dense enough, she can even manipulate it. Without meaningful magic power of her own, however, she must touch it, and it takes time to gather and use. She cannot reverse or deflect an attack in this way, it would happen too quickly for her to do anything meaningful. It is by this mechanic of her Make Magic that she can grab sunlight and mold her makes again and again. Magic Level: D History: The daughter of a noble family from Minstrel, she holds the power of the Lost Magic Energy Make within her. As a youth, her father, Maximillion, taught her not only how to use the magic, but also guided her in discovering the many applications of its power as he showed her how he used the magic to design airships. It was a power she enjoyed the use of in her everyday life, as she could easily form most anything she could need at a moment's notice. Tools, bowls or cups, a squeegie to dry her hair after a bath, a lift for something heavy, you name it. An associate of the Electrician's Guild, in pursuit of Energy Make, sprang a trap during one of Maximillian Stratos's ship sales. They captured Max, sealing him up in a machine to analyze the magic his body exuded, and before they could capture Trinity as well, her mother secreted her away. They bounced around between their relatives, Trinity learning magics from them as she did. Arrows magic and Requip, to hide the desired power of Energy Make, and her identity, from her pursuers. As time passed, the young lady grew tired of fleeing, and decided to hunt down the people that took her father. Her search lead her to Fiore, where she found her allies in Phoenix Wing. Overexerting herself with a forbidden technique during the Magic Games two years ago crippled her magical power, leaving her unable to manifest most magics. The secrets of Energy Make are many, however, and in the months that followed, she discovered she could grasp the light of the Sun and mold it in the same way. Lacking the confidence in her reduced abilities as a mage, she decided it would be best to step away from the career. Instead, the young lady took her savings and opened up a workshop, where she could use her Solar Make to make tools she could use to build and repair things, and do other inventive things, like alchemy. Personality: Intelligent and kind, with something of a flare for dramatic flourishes. Even though she likes to show off, she can usually tell when to be more serious than that. She's not usually one to let an underdog go unaided, especially if she sees them as the good guy. Even if she thinks she's outmatched, she'll help from a distance and try to keep out of the line of fire. Recently, she's become very diligent in her crafting and alchemy, to the point of forgetting meals sometimes. Guild and guild mark location: Phoenix Wing, left clavicle Team Members: Neil, Markovis Three Strengths: 1. Inventive 2. Dextrous 3. Friendly Three Weaknesses: 1. Animal lover 2. Reckless 3. Naive Greatest Love: Music Motivation: How am I supposed to search while I'm this weak? What would I even do, if I got anywhere? Appearance: Her white hair has grown out, and she's taken to occasionally putting highlights in it. Her bangs are typically drawn to one side, framing her slender face. Though she is slender, she's no washboard.
Additional Details: To compensate for her current lack of magical power, she's been researching alchemical processes and attributes, including lacrima.
Impressions of Others: Damian - Strong and reliable. Is this what an older brother's like? I didn't know he sang, either.
Neil - My alchemist. It's like he doesn't realise he's even flirting with people... He's so good to me. They both are. He's been so generous.
Markovis - My bodyguard. Poor guy's so gloomy all the time. Well, no, not gloomy. It's like he's emotionless. He's very sweet to me, despite his demeanor.
Brianna - She needs to keep her damn sword on some kind of leash.
Karn - We joined Phoenix Wing together. I hear that makes us sworn brother and sister or something? If Damian's an older brother, Karn must be like a kid brother. Eddy is... Uh...
Jasmine - She's so sweet and cute, but Rajah is such a pain. If only there was some way to get Rajah to behave for her.
Name: Regan Hadou Age: 38 Birthday: 6/7 Magic: Shockwave Magic Regan can emit shockwaves from anywhere on her body at will. She can use these to empower strikes, as a defensive measure against things close to her, or for utility. In terms of utility, she can launch herself using the rebound of the shockwave, or send waves through the ground to disrupt opponents. Additionally, she can focus the shockwave through her sword and achieve a razor's edge that she can shoot off. My Sword - Regan can focus the shockwaves of her magic into a blade, should she be without one. It's a little deadly for her tastes, though... Yawarakai-Te Masamune - Masamune's Tender Hands, an ancient blade passed down through her family. The blade looks as though you're gazing into an unobscured starry night sky. Should a person with ill intent or war in their heart touch the sword, it will burn them in rejection. The sword will not actually harm the living, passing right through them as though nothing happened. It does, however, inflict pain as normal. Perhaps even more so, since the body is left intact to continue to feel it. There are exceptions, but the last instance of the sword inflicting deadly harm was extreme and ancient.
Tomato Feast Signature Magic Requip - The Chef Chef's Pantry - The user is able to pull anything from Tomato Feast's walk-in pantry with fridge and freezer sections, provided they know where it is. They had better put it back properly, too. Regan hates it when the pantry is unorganized. You better stock it back up, too! Skilled users like Regan or Al-Gin can enter the pantry, though this is usually only ever done to organize it.
Chef's Cupboard - Same deal as Chef's Pantry, but with pots and pans. Don't mess 'em up, or Al-Gin will get mad.
Chef's Drawer - All manner of storing spoons silverware, ladles, etc.
There are no knives stored. That's a hazard. And your knives are your knives. Every wizard taught this magic by Al-Gin gets their own knife set to keep with them, that serve as a key to get in.
Green Earth Magic Regan can, as she walks or meditates, send her magic power through her feet, into the earth around her, and encourage the energies of life to flow. Fertility in the soil will rise, and water tables might begin to fill over time. It does not cause things to grow, but makes it possible for things to grow. Simply walking through a region will not bring great change, however. If she invests a month of time in a small farm, they and their neighbors might see better crops if the rains are the same as the previous year. Time spent in the city is less productive in terms of crops, but people attempting to grow plants on their own in the city will be unusually successful with any soil they already had. Plants will also be more prone to growing in the street, which she understands to be a pest. Magic Level: Ex-S History: Raised by her mother to be a warrior, Regan has taken the way of the sword to heart. As her mother had taught her, a warrior must be strong and righteous. The duty of the strong is to protect the weak from exploitation and injustice, to make the world a place where all can live. That is why strength exists. She left her mother's training with her blessing, taking the family sword at her side. The blade would spare her the harshest part of a warrior's life, but with a skilled enough hand, affording that protection would not stop the sword from bringing peace and justice. Regan left her home just as the industrial war was ending. Loose ends left ear criminals wanted, and Regan found herself her challenge; to bring in these criminals, alive, to answer for their crimes. It was during one such hunt that she found herself tracking down a certain battle chef, and instead of another bounty, she found a good man, tired of war. A friend. Al-Gin Garama Daroon and Regan Hadou started Tomato Feast, with Al-Gin as the guild master and Regan as their enforcer, a title she rarely needed. Years pass peacefully, and one day, Regan was sent on a bogus S-Rank quest submitted by the Electrician's Guild, to the mainland as a means of getting her out of the way for someone else's nefarious scheme. One wild goose chase later, she caught on to the fact the quest was not genuine. Understandably angry, she has vowed to end whatever plot needed her absence. Personality: A serious woman with a strong sense of justice, she has a serious soft spot for women. Guild and guild mark location: Tomato Feast, big across her back Team Members: - Three Strengths: 1. Sword Skill - She trained under her mother in the way of the sword since she was young. 2. Super fit - she trains her body 3 - 4 times a week. Gotta let your body recover between workouts. 3. Women Three Weaknesses: 1. Trust issues - since being sent away and betrayed, she'd rather just work alone. 2. Workaholic - She was declared Enforcer for her sense of justice. She finds it difficult not to right the wrongs in front of her, or stop working before she's finished a job. 3. Women Greatest Love: Family Motivation: To honor her mother Appearance:
Impressions of Others: Trinity - Poor thing. If only I hadn't been such a blind, gullible fool...
Brianna - A very precious young lady. Scatterbrained, and innocent.

It's such a powerful combo, too. Sunny day boosts fire moves, but also lets you fire solar beam in one turn. Top it all off with Blaziken's speed and good luck stopping it.
I'm not a competitive Pokemon dude, and really, I dislike competitive gaming, but just thinking about this combo, man. It's not anything I've ever set up in an actual game, but I know it'd be strong.
"Rapier can take care of himself. ... Usually. This might still be trouble, that's... A lot of Spearow. And a Fearow." The previous conversation was forgotten, it was time to get serious. Getting both of them out of here might be trouble, so would the better option be to stand their ground? That night be difficult. None of Sarah's Pokemon were going to be good here... Bug and Grass, mostly. Shit.
"There. They're chasing him... They must see him as a threat to their territory. I'll have to help him out... Is there a river nearby? A lake?" Probably not deep enough for Umi. Damn! "Don't worry, Sarah. You're under my protection," the protection of a Pokemon champion. "Kawaken, get ready for defense! Leave a path for Rapier." She took a deep breath as she strode toward the danger, Kawaken emerging and throwing bubbles into the air. "RAPIER! LET'S GO!" She gathered her aura and let it swell. No holding back now, not with someone to protect.
Above, Rapier heard her and knew her plan. He drew them in, toward them, before banking hard and increasing speed toward the team's battle partner. She watched him carefully, waiting for the last moment to turn and put her arm out. He landed near her wrist and she took his momentum, pivoting and spinning while she gave him her Aura. "Extreme Speed - Close Combat!" She took all that momentum and threw Rapier back the way he came, launching him through the cloud of descending Spearow. As he drilled through their formation, his talons lashed out, carving his way through. "Rapier, hold back that Fearow with Aerial Ace! Kawaken, Bubble Beam the rest of them!" Kawaken wasn't as strong, but he had ranged attacks. The Spearow would have to get close to them, and the field of bubbles would make that difficult.
Damnit, Ice Beam would be really handy here! But without a body of water, Umi would just be a target.
She had some good tactics. Having a good team was such a satisfying feeling, but it was so much more than that. "I had a powerful ace when I went for the league. Naien, my Blaziken, knows Solar Beam. Set it up with Sunny Day and you're unstoppable."
"It'd be difficult to take away that unpredictability without making things boring." It let trainers focus more, and prevented boring matchups, largely. You wouldn't run into a normal-type trying to fight a ghost-type.
Ghost types were such a pain.
Then, she heard squawking. She hadn't seen Rapier in a while, either. Were there territorial birds here? It didn't take her long to spy the cloud if Spearow, with their Fearow in the center. "You gotta be kidding me. Pfff, aaah, hey, you haven't got anything to handle a cloud of birds, have you? Like... Thunderbolt or, uh..." Rapier was better for a good one-on-one, he couldn't handle a whole flock like this. He'd take that Fearow out in a flash, but...
"If not, we might have to, uh... Y'know. Get scarce." Oddly, she never really got her hands on a hard flying-type counter. An electric or rock type would be great. Maybe Umi could do something, though? But she'd need a lake or river or something, for the Lapras...
"So it's an old tradition? And a strict one. Hmph." The ranger already didn't appreciate the restrictions, especially since it went against her favored type. The classical elements, huh? Back when she was participating, she might have been able to put a team together, with the recent leniency. To think, they used to compete with single type pokemon! She wondered if there was a long-standing exception for rock/ground, or flying/normal.
"While the restriction is a challenge, it also limits what your opponent can do. It might be difficult to go from this league to another. Ghost trainers are tricky, for one thing." Even though she said that, single typers could be very powerful. The various promotional starter pokemon were usually very powerful, and many were single type.
"Does it have to be the primary type, or does the secondary type count, too? Though, I... Don't think my league team had any primary fighting types, actually. No, wait, Lucia is fighting first, steel second, that's right. I always get that reversed." She was wondering how much of her old team would have been allowed in this league. Then again, if she wanted to pull rank, would she even have to worry about that...?
