Bio

It's me, that dood, Citrus Arms. I'm 33, I sometimes work on a book a little bit, and I play a lot of games. I like me some MechWarrior or the X-Frontier series, but I also adore some good magic-fantasy. I grew up with Final Fantasy VI's magitech world, and worlds like Chrono Trigger, Zelda, and Star Fox. Lots of Nintendo, but some other stuff, too.

I like sci-fi and fantasy and space and combinations thereof, mostly.

Ooh, you've got a universe? So have I. I get the feeling yours is more fleshed out, though.

I'll keep an eye out for you stuff.
Oh my, you bite. Well well.

Welcome to the guild.

When Markovis laid his hand on top of her head, Trinity closed her eyes and leaned just a little into his touch. She took a deep breath and thought about what he told her. He was right, of course. Though the words weren't exactly comforting, having someone like Markovis trying to comfort her was perhaps more so than the words themselves would have been.

He was right. She should be more focused on what's in front of her. What she was looking into the past so hard for lay in the future, after all. Neil was working really hard to see to that, and both she and Markovis worked really hard to support his research. Between the three of them, they could surely accomplish whatever they needed. It wasn't like she couldn't pull her own weight on jobs, either. There were plenty of times she sensed something magic they couldn't, and Niel's Second Winds meant Markovis didn't need to do all the heavy lifting.

Markovis took his hand away, causing Trinity to rouse from the relaxation she'd been getting, "hmm?" He was going to cook something? So suddenly… she'd picked herself up a bit to watch him go around the counter, disappointed that she wasn't being rubbed anymore. That made it easy for Neil to get in her field of vision and draw her eyes. He flattered her and built her up, but there was one thing that bothered her in what he said. It wasn't his fault, but...

One year for one step closer? She knew he wasn't exaggerating, either. Progress was slow, meticulous, obscure. She couldn't blame him for it, but that didn't change the fact that, while they were spending all this time trying to get her recovered…

She found herself staring hard into what was left of her drink. Snapping out of her head, she downed the rest of it before smiling at her teammate. Her friend. She chuckled softly, "c'mon, Niel, you know music's not a competition. You and Mark, jeez."

If she daudled much longer, she'd just have to get her friends involved.

Jarvis was the next to bring her out from her gloom. She listened patiently, and shook her head softly as he finished, "it's not that I can't play anymore, I just… Big band needs more instruments than I can play right now. I could drink a wind, but it won't last me. I can only do three… probably only two right now, cause I- oh, yeah" a thought occurred to her, and she started to get up onto her knees on the stool, so she could get closer to Neil's height, "hey. Come here." Trinity motioned for Niel to lean in closer. As he did, she caught his head tenderly in her hands and pressed her forehead to his, closing her eyes to better concentrate and feel out what she was doing. She let out a frustrated grunt and quickly sipped another small portion of the Second Wind potion from earlier. "Sorry, here we go," she took a breath and came back in, to touch foreheads again. Carefully, tenderly, she copied what she'd formed around her own mind for him. She'd have a difficult time explaining to someone what she was doing, exactly, to form the barrier. It had been such a reflex, before...

She leaned back when done, sighing softly and moving one hand to the bar. She smiled at Neil sweetly as she sat back down. Her other hand moved to his shoulder as she did, "there. I made an Energy Make barrier when I noticed her sword in my mind. I made you one, too. I can only hold it for so long a distance, though. I'm not really sure what my range is, anymore, either."

Their words echoed back to her. Look what she just did, after all. She sighed into a chuckle, "you guys are right. It's not like me to feel inadequate like this." But... it still felt like something was missing. That would not mend until Niel found the answers.

Someone had addressed Jarvis from the other side of Neil, something about joining and living in the wilderness. What was with these guys and just roughin' it? "Ah, hey, if you're going to insist on that, I can show- y..o..u..." what was this fluffiness? She continued slowly, "to a friend's place…" Well, Prince was a cat, wasn't he? "Ah, he's claimed territory in the East Woods. His name's Karn. If you're going to insist on staying in the wilderness, please be cautious, stay with him." Her eyes had gone from the girl's ears and were now following Nyssa's tails.

A voice beside her said something about a drinking buddy. Somewhere in her mind, a voice suggested Mark, but fluffy fox tails. The best kind of fluffy tail. They're so bushy and thick, and foxes are so cute! All their different coats and patterns. She wondered how soft the fur was, she'd never really had the chance to pet one... Except if she asked Karn to.
So, the kid had some kind of plan. It wasn't necessarily much, but she couldn't blame him. Sometimes, that was all you could do. Team up with the Vyexul, huh? Well, yeah, that was a better bet than trying to do it alone. And if he didn't plan on endangering her people or station, that must mean, "so once you go to take care of your business, you won't be back." That wasn't exactly her favorite kind of farewell, but it was what he'd have to do.

"Well, Ascot, we do have a job board that Vortex manages. She basically runs the whole station, I just tell her what to do when she needs instruction. I'll have her set your home terminal up with access. Merchants who want to take shortcuts often want for an escort."

A holoprojector sprang to life in the middle of the table, displaying a recent job posting. As escort request, with a picture of the ship in question. They wanted to go past the planet nearby, but we're nervous to run into the pirates that liked to hang out on the near side of the planet.

"Ah, looks like she's got something for you. How's the maintenance, Vortex?" The display moved, another screen coming up and going over a summary of repairs. Serenity gazed through it as the list scrolled past, picking out a few items and pushing them aside to look at later.

"Looks like she's just about done. Aaah~, she's quick." She was as much satisfied with Vortex's work as she was with herself for building her. "We'll pick up your mech from my hangar."

She had also not taken long to finish her meal. Since she was the station master, the diner would be paid automatically, as Vortex always watches her. "We can pick up your mech from my hangar. Let's go."

Serenity would lead the lad through residential to a security door in a secluded area, "it took years to build all this. Once I got a system set up for ordering my drones to build based on my blueprints, things got moving a lot faster." The door to her private section of the station. She'd made it luxurious, and it was where her private workshop and hangar were. They stepped through the door and onto a scenic bridge crossing over to the manufacturing block. They'd exit the bridge into a small lobby, where she led him to an elevator and called it to go down.
That's alright, I take a while sometimes, too. :3 Glad to see you still with us, at least.

"Yeah." She was done playing with Rajah, alright. Or talking to most people. When Jarvis passed her drink to her, she took just a moment to appreciate it. Jarvis, as she should have expected, noticed her mood almost immediately, something she figured he must have picked up from Jamie, if he wasn't sharp beforehand. Neil and Mark were both quick to follow up, she was really lucky to have met them. Mark even set his drink down before taking the sip he wanted. No brushing it off now. There was a large splash of water from behind her, and she thought of Karn immediately, but, no. Eddy would take care of him, she should speak.

Trinity knew it wasn't just Brianna's sword that upset her, even though that's what set her off. She almost wanted to, but she shouldn't blame them. Entirely. A sip of her drink, a brief hesitation as she decided how to start, a breath to calm herself, "you know I don't come around the guild much anymore," haven't for a while. She looked at her teammates, "if I'm not with you guys, I usually just end up feeling frustrated and out of place." She took another sip and then clasped it between her hands to await the next, atop the counter. "I feel like I can't really do anything anymore, compared to everyone else. I know that's not true, I'm not useless, but... It's hard not to feel that way when I'm surrounded by mages who make my current abilities look like parlor tricks." She glowered into her drink, "and then I can't even defend myself against a damn telepath without a boost... Stupid sword." She took a swig, letting the flavor fill her mouth and distract her from the surge of magic "noise" behind her. "Wonderful as always, Jarvis. Thank you." Even if it hadn't been alcohol, having a drink helped her to talk. She'd been keeping to herself for so long, her team was so supportive. She'd asked Neil for his help in her personal quest, but she hadn't really confided in them much, yet, beyond that. This aspect of her frustration had been all her own, because she had been worried her teammates would think they made her feel that way, too.

The musician stared into her drink for a moment longer before taking another sip and swirling it idly after, "Jasmine didn't like my collar joke on Rajah, either. Made her mad, I think... And I can't even play Big Band anymoooore," she slumped forward onto the counter top with her arms stretched out in front of her, careful not to spill her drink. She made sure her glass wound up next to her head, and formed a glowing white straw over about five seconds, from the soft light of the guild hall. She didn't feel like needing to pick her head up to drink it. "'s too many instruments ...sucks..."
Actually, I'd better not. Y'all have fun, now, ya hear
Regan Hadou
Wolven Pyre Guild Hall

@Cello@Lunarlord34@Raijinslayer

They stopped just outside the hall. Someone else had gone in just before them, and yet another soul approached them directly. There was... Something about her, Regan couldn't quite put her finger on it. The forced smile was her first tip, but that could have just been Bullet being obstinate. She couldn't put her finger on it any more than that. Maybe she seemed... Heavy? Careful how you say that, though.

Bullet spat some sharp words at Regan's new acquaintance, even as he retreated into the guild hall, "now, that's no way to repay the concern of this lovely young lady..." Regan watched the door only briefly, before bringing her attention back to the woman in question, "miss Manami, the pleasure is mine." Regan gave a bow, and as she did, she softly picked Manami's free hand and ever so gently kissed the back of it, "Regan Hadou." She gingerly returned the hand whence it came, and straightened. "Not at your service, unfortunately. Zhulie had been so gracious as to give me a tour, so we will have to become acquainted another time. Unless you'd join us?" She gave a coy wave with her fingers as she turned to go inside with Zhulie.

On the way to the kitchen, she sat Bullet getting chewed out just a little. Poor, stubborn fool. In the kitchen, they were greeted by who Regan could only guess was the head chef. Though, somehow, things didn't feel so formal as that. "Regan," she offered, in response to Zhulie's introduction. She carefully accepted the cookie Olga gave her, taking in the aroma and considering what she'd just been told about this particular cookie. "Yes, I can tell by the scent. It will be delicious. Thank you." She gave a gentle bow before considering the cookie, "my beloved, huh…?"

She considered that idea for a moment before Zhulie caught her attention, with a cook book. Looking it over, it became apparent what the lass wanted. Sweets! "Hmm…" Regan paged through the book, looking for something that wasn't there. This was their recipe book, they could make things from it wherever. No, no, this was an opportunity to cook something from without the book and give them something special!

"Hmmm…" she reached the end of the book and closed it, turning to Zhulie and smiling, "have you ever had a souffle? I didn't see it in the recipe book, let's make some. We'll need eggs, milk, butter, flour… salt… And cream of tartar. And then, for the filling, I do not expect you to have~..." She held her hand out over the counter and grabbed vanilla pudding from her requip, "vanilla pudding," and put it down on the counter. "For everything else, you'll have to show me. Oh, we're making for…" she went and poked her head out if the kitchen for a head count. "Eight, so double… Eh, triple it. Make extra," striding back in, "ninety mil butter and flour, seven salt, six...ehh… five-fifty milk, a whole twelve eggs and four mil cream of tartar. We'll need to separate the yolks, have you done that before?"
