Personality: Zach isn't a planner by any means, he works on his own schedule and puts himself into action. For instance, he'll just get ready for work as soon as possible. Grabbing what he can, food, equipment, and other necessities for the day without really thinking ahead. Perhaps it's packing a heavier lunch if he had to stay later or his Guard card (which is forgotten, some days.) He is blunt, crass even when he's pissed. He doesn't bullshit or cut corners, he'll get what needs to be said out. Which to some may come across as him being a jerk, however, it's just how he projects himself. He maintains a tough persona, to impress the ladies and get in with the 'cool' cliques.
It's how he was during high school and it stuck with him when he graduated, of course, Zach has compassion he isn't cold or insincere to others. He's stuck in his own loop of emotions, social exchanges can be smooth or patchy with Zach. He's always been one to day dream, maybe it's because he tries to find the right things to say or because he doesn't want to be rejected by someone. Such behavior has some people scratching their heads when he doesn't respond when someone is attempting to engage in conversation with him.

Life Before the Abduction: A jock by all means of the word.
Zach was athletic to put it simply, he was always into sports - especially football when he was growing up it's all he played. Under the supervision of his parents, he usually plays games with his friends from the neighborhood as they went around tackling each other in the mud and pushed up grass. His family, for the most part, was stable, his father Michael Nato was out of town most of the time on business as he led a petroleum mining corporation. His mother, Maria stayed at home and cared for Zach, yet she seemed to be led astray when Zach's Uncle-in-Law.
Biff Hellcat.
Biff always saw himself over, since he did just live beside the family thanks to Michael who bought and paid for the housing that Biff lived in. Maria and Biff spent a lot of time together, Zach didn't think of it too much and didn't pay too much attention to Biff until later in his life. Elementary school was a breeze, socially for Zach. While his grades faltered due to his antics with the cliques he was in, he managed to get by. In high school, while he continued to maintain his persona he struggled with maintaining a B average. It was imperative for him to do so, or he'd be kicked off the sports teams he was on - albeit the most important to him ended up being football.
Time after time Zach found himself on the edge of losing it all as he grades scraped just above a B average. Yet, luck wasn't on his side. During the senior play offs, maybe he wasn't paying attention or fate had other plans but Zach slipped in the mud and fell onto quarterback Grant Masterson. Zach broke his leg and Masterson broke his left arm and fractured his hip, the injuries put both men out of the game and as a result, Innsmouth Minutemen lost the play offs. What may have been a mistake or accident wasn't treated as such. Grant, the team, and the school lost respect for Zach, some shunned him, others out right hated him while a few never spoke to him again.
It was a devastating blow to him socially, emotionally. He was a wreck, the news just seemed to get grimmer as he laid in his cold hospital bed. Biff had an affair with his mother, while he didn't expect it considering Biff's nature as a person. The family was getting a divorce, Michael was seriously pissed. His mother had alleged the same against him for his long trips out in Seattle. It was a messy divorce, something Zach wishes he could forget. Yet, like the rest of society, he has to accept that's what happened and move on while they still have the power to do so. Zach and Biff aren't on talking terms and haven't been since.
After high school, Zach moved to work in security, specifically Innsmouth Security Solutions. A small company which ran armored trucks in Northern New England, the company constantly fights off attempts of buy outs by larger companies. The employment held steady as Zach worked for a few years, he became the shift supervisor and was constantly out of town since the routes head miles north.
When Suzanne Moore was found missing. He dropped everything, could her death be the push this outcast athlete needed to get out this rut? Or would it push him into something more sinister?
History with Suzanne Moore: It was in their Sophmore year when Zach got into a dating seriously, he met Suzie. The girl had an interest in the jock, yet it faded quickly - after about a week which seriously set Zach off. He was disgruntled, angry, Zach was never the violent type but the way he acted after the split may indicate those who don't know him that he may have some issues. Maybe she didn't see anything in him, but he saw something in her. Which is why he stalked her for a few months, out of delusion or perhaps desperate for the kind of affection that he'd never been shown before. It would be in his Junior year when the sheriff's office was involved.
They arrested Zach and took him to the station, after interrogating him they gave him the choice of court or 40 hours community service and counseling. He took the latter, after being formally warned and doing his community service (in the weekly garbage clean up) he was sent to Innsmouth General Hospital to be admitted to the counseling. It lasted for about three months after the doctor gave the green light to the Sheriff's office he was free from what seemed like such a quiet and dark chapter of his life.
Suzie, her family and the Sheriff's office were the only ones to know about the stalking.
Well, minus Suzie now...
