NPCs
Raven's Support Team.
They work in the background, and whilst not aware entirely of all of Raven's operations (bar Raphael, who is very interlinked) or the team themselves, you'll see them in the background at Kaitiaki getting involved. They are free to control in IC by anyone who has an OC in the character already for extra interactions.

Name: Dr Sophie Keller
Age: 37
Nationality: Swiss
Role: Raven's Medic, Military Surgeon and Doctor. The person you end up seeing because you have a piece of metal sticking out of you, a debilitating virus, or suspect you might have a horrible case of manflu.
Appearance: Sophie stands at 5'6" with a lean build, brown hair and green eyes. She usually wears a pair of glasses, though more often than not when the team are seeing her, she's in scrubs or wearing medical gear running her private little clinic. She seems to have the soft spoken accent of a Swiss doctor, and is an easy person to deal with in any situation. Not to say she hasn't been used to dealing with some trauma, but it seems that she stays as professional as can be.
Personality: Sophie is quiet and reserved, but she is always ready to help her teammates, whether it is treating injuries or providing emotional support. Her calming presence and steady hands have saved many lives, and whilst shy and hard to spot, she is around in the support area of the base keeping to herself with a good book or two. She is sometimes dry to her opinion, but she is the hallmark of professionalism- and always does right by her patients, or team-mates. Often she isn't really seen- she keeps to herself and makes herself heard when needed, often staying in the quiet.
Background: Born and raised in the town of Lausanne, Switzerland, Sophie was the eldest of three siblings. Her father was a surgeon and her mother was a nurse, both of whom worked at the local hospital. Growing up, Sophie was always fascinated by medicine and would often accompany her parents to the hospital, where she would observe surgeries and immediately picked up an interest for it. There was nothing that seemed magnetic to the way Sophie learned - she wanted to help people and wanted to use her natural curiosity to do that.
Sophie's interest in medicine continued throughout her teenage years and she excelled in science and biology at school. It was natural that she enrolled in medical school at the University of Zurich, where she earned her degree in medicine and surgery, achieving an exemplary grade.
After graduation, Sophie worked her conscription period in the Swiss Armed Forces following her father's previous roots, working as a Field Surgeon and whilst she never had the chance to delve into serious combat, her keen interest made sure she always got opportunities to cross-train and learn, getting to know the ins and outs of soldiering and triaging the mental and physical needs of the men and women of in various combat units of the country. In the meantime, she also worked at the University Hospital of Zurich for a few years before working for Medicines Sans Frontiers as a Medical Team Lead, which gave her the opportunity to go to hostile parts of the world and practice the field medicine she'd become so expert at. And whilst it would have turned most people inside out, Sophie was always trusting that her team and her abilities did make a difference, little by little, and whilst it was nothing revolutionary, she could do the best she could- wanting to always be on the frontlines and not shy away from the action. One connection led to another while working for NGOs and it led to her being recruited by Raven Squad.
Skills and Abilities: Sophie is highly skilled in first aid, trauma medicine, and emergency surgery. She is also proficient in the use of various medical equipment, including expertise in tropical disease, shrapnel and metal wounds and working on even more cutting edge medical problems than ever before- the weird freakishness of synthetic/artificial limbs and interactions with the body. If anyone knows how to fix people, Sophie certainly does. As the team's home-based medic, Sophie is responsible for the health and wellbeing of all the members, routine checks, and makes sure they keep combat fit, as soon as possible.
Sophie's extensive medical knowledge, combined with her calm and composed demeanour, make her an invaluable member of the team. She is also fluent in several languages, including English, French, and German. Her openness extends not just on medical matters, but also on personal issues, and has a background in Mental First Aid, owing to historic experiences of working with PTSD for a stint of her professional career.

Name: Tahlia Harris
Callsign:
Taniwha
Age: 27
Nationality: New Zealander (Kiwi) / Maori
Role: Kaitiaki's Head of Logistics. Tahlia is kind of like the housekeeper of Kaitiaki, making sure the base ticks over, and that Raven is ready to go at moment's notice with everything they need.
Appearance: Tahlia is a tall and lean woman, standing at 5'11 with short blonde hair and striking brown eyes, and an incredibly warm, pretty face. She has a muscular build due to her experience working in Blue Sword PMC and from her usual fitness regime, though her left leg to her knee is noticeably missing. She usually wears a slim carbon-fibre/titanium prosthetic below the knee, though it makes her no less capable or able to work in her role. She notably has both arms and a significant section of her back and neck covered in tattoos of various Maori legend and a large koru wrapping its way around her arm, owing to her mother's origins. Her Kiwi accent is distinctive- a strong and raspy one that truly reflects her rural NZ roots.
Personality: Tahlia is a no-nonsense individual who takes her job seriously. She is organized, efficient, and always on top of her game. She is also a natural leader and knows how to motivate her small logistics team, making sure supplies, equipment and the right stuff is brought in at the right time. She meshes well with Skye, and whilst the two may not sometimes see eye to eye, Skye has the respect of someone who can get them anything. She also looks after the site when the team are away, and is way better than any AI companion you could have, because she'll give you shit for not putting in requisition orders right, and not making a mess of the fine bit of island they call home. But treat her well, and she can cook some of the finest lamb you've ever had, and make some miracles happen in a windswept end of the earth.
Background: Tahlia grew up near Alexandria, New Zealand where her parents owned a sheep farm in the beautiful valleys of the South Island. Her father, an ex-NZSAS elite marksman had retired there and Tahlia was shown from a young age how to shoot for sport, and how to tend to the farm, taking care and helping the family to cover acre after acre of land. Her natural talent with a rifle led her to join the military at the age of 18, and serving abroad as a designated marksman. She excelled in her work and was quickly promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and after her first tour, quit to join Blue Sword, a Private Military Company- albeit being severely injured in a mission in Libya, and being forced to have her leg below the knee amputated, virtually ruling her out of military service. Thankfully, a degree and a postgraduate in Logistics and Supply Management later in the Univeristy of Otago gave her a renewed purpose- she had a natural knack for knowing lots about everything, so why not put that to work, and get paid even better? After serving in several operations overseas for Blue Sword as a Logistics Manager, Tahlia was approached by Raven Squad to head their Kaitiaki HQ, effectively becoming the resident grounds manager to make sure they all have their stuff. Tahlia is not unknown to go out putting her marksman skills to use- like her father, she has a knack for faraway shooting and knows the Kiwi bush better than anyone.
Skills: Tahlia is an expert marksman, but that skill isn't her main priority- in her current state she wouldn't be able to pass the Devil's Cooker in spite of her expertise in stalking and tracking.
As such she has settled for a life beyond combat, using her know-how to get shit done behind the scenes. She is an expert in military logistics and supply chain management, the process of getting bullet from warehouse to gunbarrel. She is responsible for making sure that the team has everything they need to complete their missions successfully, from food and water, to specialist ammunition literally unfindable in any arsenal. She knows how to get it, find it, and resource it. That and making sure the base is stocked, and well, she has the challenge of a lifetime supplying a base as cushy as Raven's is.

Name: Vincent Cisse
Callsign: Hawk
Age: 34
Nationality: Senegalese/French
Role: Raven Squad's Combat Pilot. Hawk on station is the thing you want to hear at the end of a bad day in the office.
Appearance: Vincent is 6"0, with short black hair and brown eyes. He always wears his pilot uniform and flight gear, which are perfectly fitted to his athletic build, trained from years of being a combat pilot in the French Foreign Legion. He carries himself with a calm, collected demeanor, exuding confidence and experience, and has a smooth and baritone French-African accented voice.
Background: Vincent Cisse grew up in Dakar, Senegal, and was always fascinated by flying- seeing aircraft over the shanty town he worked in, making hand to mouth and surviving with his four brothers in the slums of hte city. He dreamed of bigger things, but beyond being a helping hand to his mechanic father, knew no way out. There was one risk he could take- and emigrating to France at the age of 17 to join an uncle, he joined the French Foreign Legion and was trained as an infantryman first, then eventually being able to apply for a role of a helicopter pilot. Vincent served in several conflict zones, including Mali and the Central African Republic, and developed a reputation for being a cool and collected pilot who could handle high-stress situations with ease.
After leaving the French Foreign Legion with his French passport, Vincent worked as a freelance pilot working as an independent mercenary, flying anything and everything- and being renowned for his ability to pick up and play with most things. A few years of that led to him being recruited by Raven Squad, predominantly as their V22 Osprey pilot. He was drawn to the challenge of flying a tiltrotor aircraft that could take off and land vertically like a helicopter but fly like a fixed-wing airplane, but he makes it work easily.
Personality: Vincent is a calm, confident, and collected pilot who doesn't get rattled easily. He's experienced in flying in high-stress situations and is always focused on completing the mission at hand. He takes his responsibilities as the pilot of Raven Squad's primary transport very seriously and always puts the safety of his team above all else. He's not one for small talk, preferring to focus on the task at hand and his responsibilities as the pilot. That said, he has a cool and funny demeanour, and he's always got a smirk on, and a funny quip to give the team, with a big heart and a lot of soul. The guy you want to have a beer with, mec.
Skills: Vincent is an expert pilot, trained to fly a variety of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. He has extensive experience in combat aviation and is skilled in navigating dangerous terrain and flying in adverse weather conditions. He is also trained in search and rescue operations and can quickly assess a situation and determine the best course of action to rescue any team members in distress. Where needed, he knows his way around a gun, and is a fierce hand to hand fighter, the rough streets of Dakar making him into the man he is today.

Name: Javier "Javi" Laste Garcia
Nationality: Mexican/Spanish
Age: 35
Occupation: Lead Mechanic for Raven Squad. Keeps the aircraft and vehicles running, can modify anything that moves into moving quicker, and supports the technical side of the team.
Appearance:
Javier is a lean male you would expect with south of the border vibes, standing at 5"10 with broad shoulders and a well-defined chest. He has a sharp jawline and chiseled facial features, with deep-set brown eyes and short, dark hair, and a black beard.
His skin is a warm olive tone, with a smattering of light freckles across his nose and cheeks that give him a boyish charm. He has a small scar above his left eyebrow, the result of a childhood mishap, and a larger scar on his right forearm from a past mission. He also has a habit of wearing a simple leather bracelet on his left wrist, a memento from his time spent traveling in South America. He has a Hispanic indent to his accent, though his command of English is excellent from living in he US.
Personality: Javier is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves making jokes and having a good time. He has a positive attitude and is always willing to help out his fellow teammates in any way he can. He is very passionate about his work and takes great pride in fixing things and keeping the team's equipment in top condition. It gets him a lot of banter with Xan and Sam, but also the darker side of his history of working in the cartel certainly gives him plenty to talk about with Mateo and it's pretty clear his good side is him trying to keep occupied away from some of the horrors he saw in Mexico.
Outside of work, Javi is known for his excellent cooking, and he cooks up a mean Mexican plate- as well as always being free for a kickabout with a football.
Background: Javier Laste Garcia was born and raised in Mexico City, the hustle and the bustle of the big city to a Spanish father and a Mexican mother, brought up in relative poverty- a situation similar to Vincent but his family lacking the resources to send him on to family in Spain. From a young age, he was fascinated by machines and loved taking them apart and putting them back together. After high school, he pursued his passion for mechanics and went to a technical school where he learned everything he could about engines, machines, and vehicles that was funded by a scholarship programme. After completing his studies, he worked in various automotive repair shops, gaining experience in fixing different types of vehicles and becoming a Master Technician barely aged 25. It was one fateful day however, he was kidnapped by the Cartels.
Javi was not some mere target for hostage taking- his mechanical knowledge was put to the test and he built anything and everything- if it could outrun Fedarales and the Coastguard, he'd make it or fix it, engines, boats, cars, even helicopters and bush planes to do the job. He was talented at what he did, a real genius with setup and had a knack most engineers just don't have at making vehicles work. A hush deal with the CIA later and Javi was able to escape the wrath of the cartels, a position he was incredibly lucky to do so with hindsight- and as part of his deal would get him a role working in the CIA, countering the work of the cartels by deciphering their manufacturing and process techniques. He met a few members of Raven while working there, including Mateo and Sam in passing, but unrelated to this was hired by Raven Squad to work as a mechanical lead, making sure the team has ship-shape and ready equipment on land, sea and air.
Skills: Javier is a skilled mechanic who is capable of repairing a wide range of vehicles and aircraft. He is particularly proficient in working on helicopters, planes, and armoured vehicles. He has a keen eye for detail and is able to diagnose and fix problems quickly and efficiently. He is also adept at improvising and finding creative solutions when parts or tools are not readily available. He's built subs, improvised helicopters, and many more out of items you'd never think possible. A real MacGyver.

Name: Raphael Cohen
Age: 32
Nationality: Israeli
Role in Raven Squad: Signals, Intelligence and Communications Lead.
Raphael is responsible for the strategic intelligence that Raven uses (read, not what happens on the battlefield itself)- and making sure that what the team has recovered is directed into the overall picture of what to hit next, where to go and threat. Executive decisions rest with Skye, but Raphael certainly helps.
Appearance: Raphael stands at 5'10" with a lean and athletic build. He has short, curly brown hair and striking green eyes. He has a neatly trimmed beard and moustache, and often wears a pair of rectangular glasses. His features are sharp and chiseled, giving him an air of intelligence and focus. His accent is distinctly Israeli- with a gentle tinge of British English creeping in.
Personality: Raphael is serious and focused when it comes to his work, but he has a dry sense of humor that often comes out during downtime with the team. He is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work, which can sometimes lead him to be overly critical of himself and others. He is not particularly outgoing or social, but he values the bonds he has formed with his fellow Raven Squad members and will go to great lengths to ensure their safety and success.
Background: Raphael grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel in a mixed household- and had a Jewish father with British roots, and a Druze Christian mother from Lebanon which made for a hell of a "A Priest, a Rabbi and a Imam go to a bar" joke about his past. Despite his childhood of being a geek living in a technologist's paradise to a father who worked in a major tech company, he did his time serving in the Israeli Defense Forces before completing a degree in Computer Science at King's College London- after which he was recruited by Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency due to his adept skills in Signals Intelligence whilst with the IDF. He spent several years working in various capacities within Mossad, gaining a reputation as a skilled operator that got things done. Moving out of hacking, leaving that to the script kiddies, Raphael prioritises patterns- and tracking, building up inteligence and actionable information to strike from, creating a composite picture that is a strategic benefit and critical to the operation of an intelligence unit- he was the gears that kept the torture and drone strike wheel turning. He was eventually recruited by Raven Squad for his expertise, and has been an invaluable asset to the team ever since.
Skills and Abilities: Raphael is a highly skilled intelligence operative and signals and communications expert. He is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian, and is an expert in hacking, encryption, and secure communication protocols. He is able to set up and maintain complex communication networks, and has a keen eye for detecting and analysing patterns in data. He is also skilled in the use of electronic countermeasures to disrupt enemy communication and intelligence gathering. Whilst his focus is strategic, he works closely with the team's hackers to make sure they are given the best in being able to fight the electronic war, whilst giving the team the leg up in intelligence and setup.
