Oh no, not "the drugs"
Would like to chime in on the Uncle thing:

I think something like this is more common in other countries, whereas it's seen as something 'Pedo-ish' here. Honestly, most words kids know from a different language usually refer to older strangers as 'Aunts' or 'Uncles'! I forgot specifically which language I'm talking about, though, so forgive me for the lack of evidence.

I do know, however, that as a child I'd always call anyone who knew my mom + was also Filipino 'Aunt/Uncle [Name]' (in our language, of course) as a form of respect, regardless of whether or not my mom knew them well or was friends with them.

It's kinda like a Mr. or Mrs./Ms. for kids, I'm guessing and their actual forms of Mr./Mrs/Ms. is more for formality? But, it also depends on where you're from. I'm just talking from experience from taking French and being Filipino, so I'm not actually sure if it's the case for any other country or language. ;o

That's interesting. No doubt, different cultures have different things. That is just definitely NOT a thing where I'm from.

How old are ya'll, if you don't mind me asking?
@Silent Observer

I actually got the same vibe. If an older guy who owns a sweet shop insists on everyone calling him Uncle, he'd probably be lynched or something where I'm from. I can see past that though, and he's probably hella hilarious. Gotta love rawdy jokes. XD

Yeah, I can too, it was just an initial reaction!

Not yet, give it time! People are still getting home from work/school/eating dinner.
@Roosan

You seem offended, I'm sorry, that was not my intention at all. You're correct, I mostly said what I did because I love a good joke. Laughter keeps you healthy!

But yes, my first reaction honestly was 'creepy' when reading the CS. I would actually argue that he is creepier based on using appearances and things a stranger might find out first impression-wise around him rather than having OOC knowledge. Insists people call him "Uncle Rammie", owns bakery, gossipy flirt, bawdy jokes, sometimes wears slightly revealing clothing... those are all things someone can pick up about him upon meeting him and have nothing to do with his personal goals/species/history. The biggest thing for me was the uncle thing, which might simply be a cultural difference. I have never been to France, but where I'm from calling someone Uncle that isn't actually your uncle, or even a family member, is super weird.

Like I said, did not mean offence, I actually thought you intentionally made him like that, which I'd be totally cool with. Character variety is the spice of RP life!
