Tish is pixie-like in height and weight, measuring in at 5’1” and just over 100 pounds. She has porcelain skin and wears very little make-up aside from a coating of mascara and peachy lipstick, bright red or black if she’s feeling feisty. Large, caramel brown eyes are the most defining feature of her face. Her hair is naturally dark brown, which she has dyed black since about the age of 14, when her parents finally let her. Her tattoos aren’t real in the sense that a needle put the ink into her body, they are instead a result of her rebellious shapeshifting. When her controlling parents wouldn’t let her get a real tattoo when she turned seventeen, she covered her whole body in them using her abilities and man, did that piss them off! Most of the tattoos are animal inspired or artistic dotwork. As far as clothing goes, Tish sticks to shades of black, white, and grey as opposed to bright colors. She favors crop tops and skinny jeans, or little black dresses, especially the kind with soft lace or mesh.

Tish didn’t have the greatest home life, even before she found out about her parents. They provided for her, and she never truly wanted for anything, but they also didn’t accept her. They were manipulative and controlling, wanting her to grow up as the picture perfect daughter that would inherit the ‘family business’. When she came out as a lesbian at 15, they freaked out. When she first asked for a tattoo, they freaked out. When she told them that she was considering art school instead of business college, they just about kicked her out. When she found out that her parents were secretly grooming her to carry on their murderous, criminal legacy… she kicked herself out. Tish hasn’t looked back ever since.

Regina Webber - Mother
Regina is a whipcrack of a woman. Strong and independent, she always gets what she wants… except, of course, when it comes to her daughter. While Frank and Patricia are both Shapeshifters, Regina is a telekinetic mutant. Her day job is doing secretarial work for her father’s pharmaceutical company.

Role in the Syndicate: Regina is one of the Faces of the Syndicate. She is utilized when sex appeal and cunning is the best way to get a job done. When her body and her words aren’t enough to convince a foe, a show of fearsome telekinesis usually does the trick. Since meeting and marrying Frank, they tend to work as a team.



Frank Webber - Father

Frank was always the more warm and loving parent to Tish, perhaps that was because she was a shifter, like him. He even called her Tish, instead of Patricia, like Regina always did. Despite his supervillain status, Frank is indeed capable of love, he just isn’t always the best at showing it. Regina and Frank met through their criminal involvement and married after they found out they were having Patricia. His day job is working as an accountant at Gregory’s pharmaceutical company.

Role in the Syndicate: Frank is as much a spy as he is brute muscle. He uses his shifter abilities to trail Regina, or any other Face of the Syndicate, unseen and unheard on their missions. Frank remains in his chameleon-like form unless he deems it necessary to strike out with violent force. Like, chainsaws for arms force. Yes, for real, but normally he keeps it classier than that.

Gregory Williams - Grandfather

Gregory is Regina’s father. He is a human scientist and, while he is not a criminal of his own free will, he works under the thumb of the Syndicate. His mutant daughter is the result of the experiments he was forced to conduct on her. He is a kind man with a lot of regrets, but he does his best not to let that show. Tish thinks more highly of him than of her parents, his involvement in the Syndicate remains unknown to her.

Role in the Syndicate: A brilliant scientific mind among the team of researchers who discovered the key to unlocking the x-gene.

| Abilities |

As a shifter, Patricia is able to shapeshift her form, transforming and reshaping herself down to the genetic and cellular structure. She can mimic whatever object, material or creature she wills herself to be. Growing up, these changes just kind of happened randomly, some days she woke up blue, other days she pranced around on all fours as a kitten; Needless to say, Tish had to be homeschooled until about middle school to keep people from screaming in panic.

Now that she has had years to hone her skills with the aid of her father, Tish can blend in with the general human populace. She has only ever purposefully used her abilities cosmetically - shifting from store bought hair dye, to using her powers to maintain its jet black color, covering up teenage acne without needing medication, plastering herself in body art, etc. Tish has also shifted into animal forms in order to run and fly and swim in ways that a human body simply cannot. With more practice, she could finely tune her abilities for combat, as her father has, being able to form limbs into weapons and regrow damaged body parts, but she has no desire to tap into that potential. Not yet, anyway.

Given my history… let’s just say I’m not too fond of Mama’s. Lia has her heart in the right place, don’t get me wrong, it’s just, the rules have started to grate on me, ya know? I guess someone has to be that way though, right? We are a bunch of teens on the run from evil parents, after all. Maybe I’m judging her to harshly because she looks my ex… the really douchey one too, not the sweetie who took my v-card.

If I’m being honest, I’d actually say Lia is our rock. Without her, I think more than a few of us would have come unglued; Which is kind of funny, because she seems like she is halfway unglued herself. I don’t know what kind of freak she is, because, let’s be honest, we’re all kind of freaky… but I think whatever she is scares her. I can’t imagine what that’s like, to be afraid of yourself. Well, I guess I can imagine what it’s like to be afraid of what you are capable of… my father is a shifter just like me, and he uses his gift to…

I - I think I want to help Lia. I mean, she hasn’t told us what she is, but I feel like if she were to tell anyone, she’d tell me. Maybe? I just hope she knows that I care about her, despite my cranky attitude sometimes. Okay, most of the time.

Also, she got this weird look on her face when she found out my birthday is coming up. I think she wants to get me something. Man, I hope it’s alcohol. I think we could all use a little loosening up, and that’d make for a hella fine birthday party. And who knows, maybe with a few drinks… Yeah, it could be fun. Anyway, I can tell that whatever she gets is going to be great, I already love it.

If Lia is Mama Bear, then Andy is Papa Bear. Although, not in the couple kind of way, because I’m pretty sure Andy is gayer than a unicorn fart. I not so sure about Lia, maybe she could be bi? I dunno, probably wishful thinking on my part. Anywayyy…

Andy. Yeah, I’m glad he’s with us. A mind like that is useful as hell. Sometimes it’s easy to get freaked out about how things are going to work out, but Andy has a calm way of sorting all of the puzzle pieces out in front of us, and then explaining exactly how they fit together. We plebeians rarely understand what he is trying to say, but he’s yet to lead us astray so far, so I guess he knows what he’s doing!

While I do try to listen to him, I’m pretty sure I get on Andy’s nerves more than a little. I’m trying to tone it down and get on his good side. Andy smokes too, and I’m running pretty low on my stash. It’s not a crazy habit or anything, a cig just helps calm me down in all of the craziness. It’s for everyone’s benefit, really! Plus, it totally pisses Lia off.

Of course, we all knew each other before the dossier discovery. Our parents are all friends and that business, well, perhaps less of friends and more of coworkers now that we know what we know. But, out of the whole bunch of us, Jay and I actually hung out beforehand. We had the same group of friends, that skater-punk-rocker aesthetic. I support his activism, he supports my vegetarianism, we just click.

I remember when he wanted to dye his hair for the first time! Oh, I was so excited that I offered to help. And, of course, he agreed! But we bought some shitty dye and it ended up turning his hair hot pink instead of purple. When he came out of the bathroom after showering and I saw that it was HOT pink, I was absolutely mortified. Surely, he would hate me for that. But, apparently, he loved it. I couldn’t imagine accidentally turning my hair pink… I might just have to die if that ever happens. Pink hair aside though, Andy is a really cute kid. If there were ever a dude I’d turn in my gold star for, I guess it would be him. But not really, meat just isn’t my thing, ya feel me? Ugh, god, I can’t believe I left my thoughts go there. *shudders*

Religion was never really my thing, I know, I’m sure you’ve never heard a lesbian say that before. All in all, though, I could care less about people being religious. As long as you aren’t using it as a means to spread hurt and hate, knock yourself out. Malcolm hasn't gotten too preachy yet, but when he does talk about it, it seems like interesting stuff. I’d never really heard of Lunara until Malcolm came to be… whatever he is. Who knew clerics were actually a thing? I thought those were like a made up class for video games and stuff. Though, I guess if mutants and shifters are real, why not gods and clerics? Hell, let’s toss in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus too for good measure!

It’s nice to have Amelia on this wild road trip. Yeah, we argue sometimes, but it can be fun to have someone else who is still very much young at heart around. Together we can keep this group lively. She sometimes jokes that I should turn into something cool, like a “motherfucking dragon”. Maybe one of these days I’ll surprise her.

Mia is one of the runaways that I can’t quite figure out yet. She hasn’t really shown any signs at what kind of freak she is. Maybe it’s a mental thing? I always did struggle with the concept of, well, concepts. I work best when I can use my senses, and Mia hasn’t done anything to set those off. Maybe she’s just a human? That seems unlikely, we all had a dossier for some reason…

I didn’t really know Glo that well until this road trip began. I’m glad that we got the chance to chat. We have a lot in common, which makes the talking come easy. Plus, she loves taking pictures and I gladly volunteer myself as a model. I ask her what she thinks would look best in a certain shot and then work hard to morph myself into who, or whatever, that might be. It’s like a game! It’s always easier to shift around her, too, it’s like she brings out my wild side or something.

Honestly, I couldn’t think of a negative thing to say about Glo. She is beautiful, and natural, and passionate. I guess maybe if I had to pick one bad thing about her, it would be the cynicism. But, everyone has their moments, especially given our current circumstances!

I kid, of course, anything for the sake of a good pun! We just aren’t best friends yet! Cody is an interesting person. He looks much younger than he is, but acts like a real grandpa sometimes. Seriously, though, he has plans on top of plans. I’m more of a go with the flow kind of person, and I can tell that type of lifestyle would really put him over the edge. As such, it is fun to push his buttons. I like to find out where people’s limits are, and then urge them to try stepping over that line. Come on, just once, what’s the worst that could happen?

One thing I really like about Cody is that he is just as open about his freakiness as me. Well, I guess he doesn’t have much choice in the matter. Apparently he used to be a regular old human, and then his parents went and got him shot up with drugs to turn him into flubber-boy. I feel bad, but I can’t help but laugh at his lack of control sometimes. I mean, it’s super sad that this was forced upon him, but it is kind of funny to see someone turn into a puddle of person without warning. Hopefully together we can help him overcome this obstacle.

Frank was her rock back then and continues to be so to this day. Her dad supported her decision to go to art school, even when he wasn’t confident that one could make a living off of a hobby. Now that she has graduated and really showed her ambition to excel, Frank has helped her start her own business. Tish is happily upper middle class, it’s the only thing she’s ever known. She lives in a small downtown apartment a few blocks away from her shop.

Tish is still very close with Dominic, and she’s really glad to have gotten to know Chlo through him. It’s great to not have to worry about drama, Chloe is confident and friendly, Tish wouldn’t know what to do if Nic was marrying some insecure girl that would hate that his best friend was a chick. She spends her days creating both art and meaningful connections with the residents of Boston, and her nights enjoying the nightlife that the city has to offer. This nightlife includes the strip club that her bestie owns, and that’s not just because Tate owns it, either. A girl has needs to be met while she awaits meeting whatever soulmate exists for her out there.

Real Profession? Loki runs the London underground. Narcotics, hallucinogens, uppers, downers, you name it! If it exists, Low Key has a man running the stuff on the streets. And the Kingpin doesn’t just cater to the humans, hell no, he’s got the stuff to get the Sups just as fucked up. He has just plain ol’ blood too, for those too morally weak to do their own hunting, but willing enough to look the other way on how said blood was obtained in the first place. Loki’s real pride and joy, though, is O-neg. Being a vampire scientist with unlimited access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, Loki figured out a way to genetically and chemically alter human blood so that it gives vampires the effect of being high - a previously unattainable state for vampires, aside from the very mild effects one could gain from tainted blood. Pressed into tiny red tablets emblazoned with an ‘O’, O-neg does different things for different vamps; For some it feels like ecstasy, some just pot, and some experience hallucinations like with acid. But that ever present five o’clock shadow and crooked smirk betray that he is up to absolutely no good, just like the god he was named for. He stands at 5’11” with a toned and muscular build, but not overly so.

Although the Kingpin remains anonymous, he frequently commingles with his unknowing clients to ensure that they are enjoying themselves. Plus, it’s good for him to loosen up every now and again.

SLYE FOX — This is one of the best and only pubs around Edgetoun. Loki frequently goes here for a “few” casual pints with his friends and associates, or simply by himself. Bright blue-green eyes stare in stark contrast to a perfect white complexion. As far as style goes, Suriel is just as likely to be seen wearing a suit and tie as a dress, it's whatever they prefer that day, really. They are always well-dressed for any occasion, as fashion has proved to be one of the more entertaining aspects of life on Earth. Not a single ounce of makeup has ever touched the angel’s face, making their pale features seem all the more ethereal. Suriel believes that understanding is the first step towards truly helping a person. Seven years ago, when Suriel first arrived, their hair fell chin-length in soft yellow curls. Now they wear it cropped short on the sides, longest on top, and platinum blond in color. Bright blue-green eyes stare in stark contrast to a pale white complexion. As far as style goes, Suriel is just as likely to be seen wearing a suit and tie as they are a dress, it's whatever they prefer that day, really. They are always well-dressed for any occasion, as fashion has proved to be one of the more entertaining aspects of life on Earth. Not a single ounce of makeup has ever touched the angel’s face, making their pale features seem all the more ethereal. Their voice is an even tenor and they stand at a tall 183cm with a broad and relatively flat chest, and a lithe frame. Overall, their entire look lives and breathes androgyny.

Angel — Suriel’s goal is to serve, assist, and enrich humanity with their specific Duty being healing.

Suriel was sent here with one goal: to be a healer of the people. They have studied and worked tirelessly to accomplish this goal and hope to eventually earn their way back to their golden home. Suriel was more than happy to be a diligent student and seeks to continue learning about diseases of the mind and body. The human brain is of particular interest, hence Suriel’s residency specialization in neurosurgery. Suriel believes that understanding is the first step towards truly helping a person. That being said, they are prone to judgement and, unfortunately, they tend to judge the sinner rather than the sin itself — which is a self-recognized personal fault. This judgemental behavior is relatively recent, and possibly a form of psychological projection.

Since beginning their residency at the hospital, Suriel has had… feelings. First, it was the handsome doctor in charge of cardiology, and then it was the pretty ginger nurse in pediatrics. Lustful thoughts and urges seeded themselves in their mind. Suriel has yet to act on them, and sees them for what they are: sin. Yet, the temptation is always there, and staying on the righteous path gets harder every day.

The Beginning

Long before Suriel came to Earth and took on an English surname, they watched the birth and growth of humanity under the will of Creation. In the vastness of time and space that is the golden city, they also saw the death of man. And so was born their task: to heal the bodies and souls of the broken. The wayward children must be guided to the path of righteousness.

Suriel was one of the few angels to land as a full-grown adult. They had to become a legitimate person, so they followed their vague clairvoyant visions, which lead to a person who could help them become a bonafide citizen. Bending the law served the greater good in working towards their Duty, so Suriel was willing to look the other way in this instance. Suriel enrolled in university, where they studied pre-medicine, and then went on to study medicine further, with specializations in psychology and neurology. They obtained their medical doctorate and are currently serving as a resident in the neurosurgery unit of Edgetoun Memorial Hospital.

EDGETOUN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL — Suriel spends more time in their workplace than they do in any other place, including their own apartment. Though they work well over the standard forty hours a week, Suriel does not tire of their work. This is their calling and their purpose. EMH is the largest hospital in the area and it is exceedingly average in terms of funding for medical devices and machinery.

GRANDVILLE — The angel loves a good read, whether it be for work, or for pleasure. Discovering hidden gems in the old pages and enjoying the cozy atmosphere is a favored pastime in the rare instances that Suriel has a few moments of free time.

PROSPECT PARK — Taking a stroll through this glorious area of reclaimed natural beauty is refreshing. Suriel frequents this area mostly because it is located on the walk between their apartment and the nearest underground station to travel to work.

OUR MOTHER OF MERCY — When Suriel is not working, sleeping, eating, or spending a few hours to themself to rest, they are donating their time to charity. Suriel often volunteers in the soup kitchen at Mercy and assists in comforting and caring for the lost and downtrodden souls that find their way to this quiet place of sanctuary. Our Mother of Mercy also serves as a full time Anglican church, which Suriel attends the services of every Sunday morning.
