Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

Lunatea's Super Lewd Mode!

Mentions: @PaulHaynek

Wait, that was their plan all along?!

Lunatea glared at the humans, her eyes filled with disbelief, her fists shaking in furious anger.

"How dare you?! You're trying to frame me for his death?! We're here to save you and this is how you repay us?!"

She had enough. They deserve what's coming to them!

She aimed her right middle and index fingers at the nearest samurai. Lightning crackled inside the air around her as she channeled her mana into her fingertips, her dress flipped upwards by the sheer power her magic panties were emitting

"Chain Lightning!"

Thunder burst forth from her fingers, striking the samurai on his chest, knocking him out in an instant. However, her spell didn't stop there. It leapt to the next samurai. And another. And another. Until five of them fell in one swoop.

"You youkai bitch!"

Now realizing the threat the monster girl possessed, some of the samurai switched their attention to her. One man dashed forward with his blade brandished, an attack she barely dodged. Another threw a knife at her, an attack she blocked by her wind magic.

Then, she noticed it at the corner of the eyes—a samurai landing a blow at the young master.

"Takeshi, gyahhh!"

It was the distraction that led to her receiving an arrow right on her back.

She blasted the archer using her wind magic before kneeling down, panting from the wound she just received.

Please, Lady Sylph! I need your blessing right now! Just like that time!

She remembered that one time she triggered a trap in a ruin and ended up fighting against five golems at once. She wouldn't have made it if not for her panties overcharging her strength. Sure, there were drawbacks associated with the magic but it’d be a far better alternative than dying here to these bunch of imbeciles.

Another samurai ran in, swinging his blade in a downwards direction. She reacted by rolling to the side, only for another samurai to use the opportunity to drive his blade down towards her head. She barely blocked it with a wind barrier.

Nonono, not like this!

They got her pinned! And Takeshi’s busy with his own opponents!

“It’s over for you, filthy youkai!”

Right before her wind barrier broke, she was saved.

Not by Takeshi or the others.

But by the explosion of mana caused by her magic panties.

“W-what? What foul sorcery is this?!” One of the samurai said after being knocked away by the explosion.

She stood up, her body enveloped in a harsh windy surge. It was as if she had a miniature tornado surrounding her. Her dress was slowly going away as every second the wind shredded more and more fabric off her body. Not to mention it flipping upwards violently, showing off her panties to everyone present.

It was one of the weaknesses of this “Overdrive” technique of hers. She would end up naked after she used it.

However, considering the power boost it gave…

It was all worth it.

She dashed forward, far faster than the samurai could react. She landed a roundhouse kick right at the man’s chest, sending him flying several feets away, knocking him out. Like a deadly blur, she moved instantly to the man beside him, landing her palm on his chest, stopping his heart as said palm was imbued with electricity.

She glanced at the remaining samurai, her expression as cold as ice.

Death. It was inevitable for them. Even if they tried to escape, she wouldn’t let them. With her inhuman speed, she would simply chase them down and end their lives one by one.

They thought of her as a monster. Now, they got one.

Lunatea raised an eyebrow at his reaction. Was that a hint of jealousy she just saw?

When they arrived at the field of flowers, the wererabbit couldn't help but be awed by the beautiful sight. So many flowers… and they're all red like that… Beautiful, yet eerie at the same time…

Lunatea nodded at Takeshi's instruction. She bent over and plucked the flowers, storing them inside the small handbag she carried. As the bag was enchanted with magic, it could carry a lot more than its puny size would suggest.

Little did she realize that by bending over like that instead of crouching down, she was flashing her panties to the young lord everytime his gaze went to her.

Unfortunately, their peaceful gathering didn't last long as soon after they began, a group of warriors arrived.

And to her surprise, even though they looked Shizuyaman, they were hostile to them.

All thanks to her "filthy" youkai presence.

Before she could open her mouth, the young lord already put himself between them.

"No need to protect me," she whispered. "I can handle a few bigoted humans, thank you very much."

When they insinuated that she would betray him, naturally, the wererabbit took offense to it.  "Betray him?!" Lunatea raised her voice so they could hear. "How dare you even suggest that?! I'm no traitor! I don't have anything to gain from betraying him!"

Takeshi, however, responded completely differently. Instead of saying something back, he opted to reach down for his sword instead. Lunatea soon realized that he only did so because the men also put their hands on the handles of their blades.

Before she could say anything, Takeshi already made the first move, slicing the head off one of the men.

Lunatea gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. "W-why? Why did you do that?!" Weren't they on the same side?!

"I don't want to hurt any of you! Stop!"

"He's right! I don't want to hurt any of you either!"

But if it came to a fight then she'd defend herself of course!

"Well, if you say so…" Lanus replied, his face still expressing doubt. He glanced at Renee, his eyes telling her to be ready to make a run for it if the monster were to appear. She was nowhere near ready to take on such a foe, at least according to his humble opinion.

After the group departed, it didn't take long until the effect of the miasma started to take toll on them. Renee felt her stomach churn as the detestable yet familiar feeling washed over her. It was the very same feeling she had that terrible day when the miasma took everything she had ever known from her.

"You alright, my dear?" She felt a hand gently perching itself on her shoulder. She looked behind her, finding it to be Lanus' hand.

"I'm fine," she replied, a slight edge coloring her voice. "Just… you know."

"You can never get used to it." He smiled. "It's a horrible feeling that makes you "That terrible feeling… It's a warning to all living beings. For the miasma is antithesis to life itself."

When they arrived at the terrible scene, Renee gritted her teeth. It was the same exact sight she saw all those years ago, with all the rotting vegetation and foliage with no natural life to be seen. She took out her bow, readying herself for the abominations that would surely follow. Lanus did the same, drawing his silver sword from its sheath.

Their caution quickly paid off, as soon after, hideous figures came out from the earth, ambushing the group.

"Come forward, my elegant Nymph!' Lanus yelled.

A torrent of water gushed forth from the barren ground, hitting Renee right from beneath her.

"Kyaaahh!" The fae screamed, pushing her skirt down with her wrists as her hands were busy holding her bow.

"Nymph!" Lanus yelled. "How many times must I tell you not to do that?!"

The water swirled together in mid-air before forming the figure of a beautiful girl, who had her arms folded under her chest, her mouth pouting towards her summoner.

"Hmph! You're still with her! And here I thought you promised to break up with her!"

"I never said that! And this is no time to be talking about that! The enemy's here!"

"Hmph! Chumps like them are no match for the great Nymph!"

The girl snapped her watery fingers, commanding geysers of boiling waters at three of the creatures to burst forth from where they stood. They weren't fast enough to dodge them, resulting in them melting on the spot.

Renee could only send a silent glare towards the girl. Thanks to her, she was now soaking wet from top to bottom.

She knew the spirit was never fond of her and that she had her own desire to make Lanus hers. But she should know better than to do immature pranks like this, especially in the middle of combat!

The fae took an arrow from her quiver, drew her bow, and aimed it towards the creatures closest to Rana. The girl looked like she needed more time to cast her spell, and so, she would give her the time she needed.

"Fly, my little fire bird!"

She fired her arrow and as it flew, it transformed into a little wooden bird, which promptly ignited. It proceeded to pierce through the creatures' body, causing a miniature explosion as it did, obliterating them completely. Four of the creatures were taken out this way.

"I know where those are. Let me gather them." Takeshi stood up. "Lunatea, you're with me. The rest of you, stay here and watch over Yurine. Yurine, keep an eye on them, will you?"

Lunatea nodded.

Takeshi led Lunatea through the fog-covered graveyard. "Don't worry about getting lost. I know this place pretty well so we can leave and get back easily."

"Hmph, you don't have to worry." She huffed. "My ears are sharp enough to pick up the voices of the others, even from this distance. If worse comes to worst, I can use that to find my way back."

"Lunatea, I have to ask." Takeshi began. "Atsuha and Skarsneek seem awfully close from what I've observed. Are they... together? Y'know, 'together'?" He asked from the Wererabbit.

"You just have to ask that, don't you?"

"Yes, they're together. I thought that's obvious enough."

Lunatea did as Takeshi instructed, walking as close to the human male as she could. She focused her attention to her surroundings, her ears twitching as they tried to pick up even the slightest noise. Still, nothing came up, other than the sound of their own steps. As a result, she didn't pay attention to the writings on the tombstones that surrounded her, and when Takeshi abruptly stopped, she crashed into his back.

"H-huh? What's the matter? Don't just stop like that!" she spoke with a slightly terrified tone. The longer she stayed in this fog, the more the hair on her neck stood up. There was no doubt about it. Something, or someone hostile was hidden under all this white.

She quickly regretted saying those words.

"Oh…" She looked away with a guilty expression. "Your mother… she's buried here…"

She remembered her own mother. Even though she could be annoying sometimes, she loved her very much. And she would no doubt be distraught if anything were to happen to her.

He, no doubt, felt the same. Even if he never met her.

She opened her mouth, wanting to give a few words of comfort to him.

Only to be interrupted by the arrival of an axe-wielding woman.

The wererabbit quickly readied herself for a fight, only to realize she wasn't an enemy in the slightest. She was, in fact, Takeshi's old caretaker.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Yurine." She gave a polite bow, flashing her panties to Skarsneek who stood behind her. "He is indeed correct. We are here to help the people of this island in their fight against the Varjans."

”You’ve returned, hopefully the old man’s shop wasn’t too messy for your liking."

Renee scowled hearing her words but opted not to say anything. Ultimately she got what she wanted and that was all that mattered.

"Well, I'd say my lady here was quite displeased by the condition of the place." Lanus placed a hand on Renee's shoulder with a grin. "But do not fret. We've got what we need."

Let us be off then.”

Renee gave a quick glare towards Lanus for his unnecessary remark before nodding at the woman. "Yes, let us be off. The quicker we arrive there the better."

===========

Renee sighed, looking at the world outside her tiny window.

Oh, how she despised riding these steel machines. Sure, they might be convenient to move around large distances but the way they moved never sat well on her. She never liked being confined in a small space like this! Not to mention the fact that her stomach would churn if she were to ride on them for very long, which, for this case, was definitely the case.

She glanced at her partner who sat beside her. As expected, he was ogling Roze, who was sitting in front of him. She quickly gave him a good elbowing at the rib.

"Ouch, what was that for?!" He protested.

"Don't do that. You'll bother her." She scowled.

"Oh? Then should I look upon your beauty instead, my dear?" He gave her a teasing smile.

The elf's face promptly reddened. She looked away with a huff, crossing her legs and arms.

Lanus chuckled. Ah, how easy it was to tease her⁓

”I still don’t like this.” Said Roze. ”I wish the others were back.”

”We’ll be fine.” Replied her Belua comrade. ”All things considered, this is just a standard survey/purification job.””

”Rue, don’t take this lightly. The last team that went there was almost completely wiped out. Also, think about what’s become of the region, now that it’s been left unattended for the past few weeks.” She added in an annoyed tone. ”I would feel better if we had Xashan or Amelia with us.”

”If that thing was still there, I might agree with you. But, it’s long since moved on by this point. We’re just on cleanup duty right now.”

"I wouldn't count on that." Lanus chimed in on the conversation with a slightly ominous grin. "As a Reaver, I know very well that things can go south very quickly out there in the hunting grounds. Always prepare for the worst while hoping for the best."

Deep down, he already declared in his heart that he would sacrifice himself for Renee's sake if they were to be up against an opponent they couldn't beat or run from.

===========

The moment they arrived at the checkpoint, Renee let out a relieved sigh. Finally. That took long enough.

Her eyes quickly scanned her new surroundings, taking in the sight of the busy campsite. She actually was in need of the lavatory after such a long and unpleasant trip and she was hoping they could take a break before they went to whoever was in charge of the place.

Suddenly, she felt Lanus's hand on her shoulder, giving it a light massage.

"You okay, dear? You look pale. Need some rest?"

Her heart skipped a beat. That smile, that gentle whisper of his — it was what made her fall for him in the first place.

With her cheeks slightly red, she answered, "Yes, I'm alright. Just tired from the trip, that's all. You know how much I hate those vehicles."

As someone who grew up in a village out in the boonies, she never experienced riding in one until she traveled with Lanus.

"I know. If you want, I can cover for you."

She shook her head. "No need. I'm not that tired."

"Well, if you say so." He knew better than to dissuade his stubborn companion.

The two then followed Ruecian and Roze to meet with the officials. They proceeded to introduce themselves as well, after the latter two did.

"Greetings." Lanus bowed. "I am Lanus Retily. Pleasure to meet you."

"And I am Renee Terfiel. Pleased to meet you as well." The female fae bowed as well.

”Y-you’re Ruecian Valeniquen!” He exclaimed

”Yep, in the flesh…” Ruecian responded, in an annoyed tone.

”You’ve no idea what relief your presence here brings.” He said, his spirits lifted. ”Over there is that…?” He looked over at Roze and the others. ”It’s Rozemyne Levina! We may actually be able to rest easy!”

Renee raised her eyebrows. Are these two really that famous?

Lanus, on the other hand, wasn't surprised in the slightest by the officials' reaction. Rozemyne was already famous for being a powerful elementalist. As for Ruecian, well, the many tales of his exploits were no secrets amongst those in the field.

”Oh, yes, of course!” The man responded. ”I presume the other two with you are newcomers? We need all the help you can give.” He looked at Lanus and Renee for a moment.

"But of course!" Lanus smiled. "If you need any galdrist or elementalist, I'm your man."

"And I will be happy to assist with any alchemy you might need," Renee followed, placing her hand on her chest.

They then made their way to the largest tent at the camp. Taking their seats, it didn't take long until Lanus eyed the blue-haired woman from top to bottom, earning another elbow from Renee.

"Hmm, you say you don't know where the creature is now?" Lanus scratched his chin. "That's worrying. What if it pops out when we are there? I don't think we're equipped to handle such a beast on our own."

"I wouldn't bother." Skarsneek said to Lunatea as he dusted himself. "You'll be wasting energy, and this might work out to our advantage."

"I mean, you're a rabbit right?" He gestured to her two long ears. "You should be able to pick up noises far better than all of us."

"Just stick together, Takeshi, you lead the way, Luna, stay in the middle so you can support and warn all of us."

"Hmph." Lunatea folded her hands. "Sure, I can do that."

Luna offered to attempt to blow away the fog with her wind magic, while Skarsneek suggested they travel together in a formation of sorts."Luna-chan." She said. "I'm fairly confident that this isn't normal fog, I doubt a simple spell will be enough to get rid of it. If we combined our magics into some of my dispel talismans it might work." She looked at the ofuda in her pouch, then looked at Hinami. "But perhaps the one who made this fog wouldn't much appreciate it if we just up and got rid of it. It may be best for us to follow Skarsneek's lead and form up."

"You have a point," the wererabbit replied with a nod. "I can feel strong magic surrounding us. Perhaps it comes from the fog."

"Still, if we think we're to ambush whoever created this fog, we should be aware that they should already be prepared for that possibility. If I were them, I would've made myself immune to the fog. For all we know, they could have perfect vision under all of this and they are now watching us with an amused smile on their face."

Before they departed, Lunatea returned back to the barracks to pack her things. There really wasn't much she brought with her. It was mostly her notes, some rations and water bottles, and change of clothes. Since her magic panties were her weapon, there wasn't any need to carry around a staff or a sword with her.

The taskforce would see rows upon rows of gravestones... if not for the thick fog that enveloped the area, revealing only a dozen or so as well as the stone paths granting comfortable access to visitors. "Quite the mist, though." Takeshi remarked. "It's probably not natural. Maybe this is Yurine's but it's too risky to assume that. Tread lightly."

Indeed, it was nigh impossible to see all of the cemetery with this fog, much less spot Yurine. "Do you guys think we should split up? We'll cover more ground, but we might get lost. Especially you, yokai, since you've never been here before."

"Split up? That would be too risky, wouldn't it?" Lunatea protested. "I can try blowing away all this mist with my wind magic if you want."
