Bio

Hello all. I am an experienced writer who is writing my own fiction stories on the side. I can role play any genre. What I love most is being able to go-all-out when weaving tales with other writers. It just makes the story more interesting, so I can't wait to write with you. :)

@Drakeylol That'd be awesome. Squirrel Knights of The Canopy. :D Or maybe even Acorn Knights.
@PrincePierceI like this idea. This picture is giving me inspiration:

Sherman Doyle

Mr. Infinity

18/30s

Male

The Patron Saints

Sherman is an eighteen-years-old teenager with chestnut brown curly hair, blue eyes, and pale, creamy skin. He wears black square-framed glasses, hoodies, jeans, skater shoes, and a skull cap over his mess of curls. He is 5’8” and weighs 142 lbs. He is very thin in stature with hardly any muscle on his body.

Mr. Infinity appears to be in his 30s with dark-brown hair and a five o’clock shadow. He has hazel eyes amber in hue and a tanned olive complexion. He can always be found wearing a fancy suit. He is 6’2” and weighs 210 lbs. He is athletic in build and confident in stature.

Sherman is a senior in high school who doesn’t exactly know what he plans to do with his life post-graduation. He knows that he wants to go to college at least, but he doesn’t exactly know where. He is a dreamer and an artist who can be always found sketching away in his sketchbook during class amidst a boring lecture. He skateboards to and from school, and he attends to avoid people, assuming that they rather not talk to him since most consider him a loser any way. He is a pretty straight-forward kind of guy. When he is at home, he is either reading, sketching or gaming with friends—people who he has never met before in real life but who are the closest thing to who he would call actual friends—online.

Mr. Infinity is his creation, and Mr. Infinity is unaware that Sherman is his creator. However, Sherman knows all about Mr. Infinity’s life. Mr. Infinity is the opposite of what Sherman is and the only things they share are their morals—to a point. Mr. Infinity loves his wife Sharon and his son and daughter Chris and Mary Ann. He believes his life is perfect, but he can’t say the same for the lives of others. It is Mr. Infinity who works for The Patron Saints for they have similar goals. Sherman, he thinks all of this is a dream.

Sherman was born to Ben and Loretta Doyle in Independence City. At an early age, he demonstrated his creative mind in several crayon drawings and other art projects throughout his school life. Art was his escape, and it allowed him to dump his imagination on paper. When he was bullied in school, he always dreamed of a hero in some fashion protecting the weak and bringing justice to evil. Mr. Infinity was born long before he actually appeared in reality. He took form in several of Sherman’s sketches until one night, he and his family became an actuality.

During the day, Sherman went about his average life; and at night, while he was asleep, Mr. Infinity had breakfast with his family before he went to work fighting crime in Independence City. Mr. Infinity was approached by the Saints one night unaware that Mr. Infinity may not be as real as he appeared to be. His existence puzzled the Saints for months and still continues to. The only logical explanation they can put to his existence is that he may possibly be a ghost. The phantom of someone who used to exist. They have spied on him in his home with his family, but come dawn he and his entire life vanishes.

As Sherman nears graduation, there are several occupations on his mind. His father is pressuring him to become an engineer so that he can actually make money for himself, even though, deep-down, Sherman wants to be either a comic book artist or animator.

Sherman has the ability called “Reality Dreaming.” He believes he is only dreaming when all aspects of reality are brought about by his subconscious desires and emotions. When Sherman dreams, he can see into Mr. Infinity’s life. He often watches between first-person and third-person point of view as his hero Mr. Infinity lives as a respected father and a hero, having no idea that his creation actually exists when he is asleep. Mr. Infinity uses two weapons, a limitless M9 and a sword that burns when it is drawn from its red sheath. He is always seen wearing a finely-pressed suit. He doesn’t possess a normal name. Mr. Infinity is his name, and it is treated as normal as if his name were Carl instead (at least by his family members). Mr. Infinity will take damage like a normal human, but he doesn’t register the damage like a normal human would, making him quite a tank. He doesn’t feel pain, and while he can be covered in blood, dirt and bullet holes, he is capable of continuing on until he is literally obliterated. When this happens, Sherman wakes up, and is unable to go back to sleep leading to him having a crappy night’s rest. It hasn’t been discovered yet, but Sherman can be physically affected if Mr. Infinity was to take magical damage. This type of damage Mr. Infinity takes will affect Sherman. Sherman is completely human and has human weaknesses and mortality, which can endanger him and Mr. Infinity’s reality if the enemy was to ever find out if he and Mr. Infinity were connected.

Mr. Infinity is capable of performing the unusual stunt of defying gravity. He can leap great distances, walk on air, walk up vertical surfaces, and he can perform aerial acrobatic feats most would expect to see only in an action flick with special FX. The fact that he is an anomaly makes him invaluable to the Saints. It is just unfortunate that they cannot control when Mr. Infinity appears, and neither can Sherman.

As much as it seems tempting, Mr. Infinity should never be made aware that his life is a false reality and that his entire existence relies on the mortality of a teenager. It is okay for Sherman to know that Mr. Infinity exists since he created him, but not vice versa. This knowledge can endanger Sherman for Mr. Infinity may try to seek out Sherman while he is sleeping. While Mr. Infinity may not necessarily be a threat to Sherman, he could ruin his life. Their realities should be kept separate in order for them to remain stable.

Left to Right: The Scavenger and The Biter

Chicago, Illinois
September 23, 2YYY

The gray overcast skies bathed a land covered in bones and scrap in a dreary shade. Old, hollowed-out skyscrapers towered into the white sky above a city that once upon a time was alive. Racing through the streets, a lone man darted between cars long stalled and cluttering West Cermak Road. An orange bandana was tied below brown eyes that were wide and alert. His brown hair was feathered and glistening in sweat. A Kevlar vest was fastened about his torso, elbow pads and knee pads were strapped to their respective places. A T-shirt once white was underneath his vest, soiled in dirt and grime, the threads easy to tear. His heart was hammering in his ears. His breathing was smooth, hardly labored for he had habitually maintained cardio since he awoke in this world. This world…what was this place? A dinner plate for monsters. Even now, he was being chased by a creature that wanted to make him food.

The creature was quadrupedal, leaping from vehicle to vehicle. Even with a barbed thrashing tail, the big beast lacked grace. It stumbled and staggered, slipping on side mirrors and its meaty claws punching holes through window shields and sun roofs. It could hardly keep up with him, but he knew for as long as his scent lingered on its slit nostrils, the hungry beast wouldn’t stop chasing him.

He turned left headed toward West 21st Place, his right hand clenching the sling of a M4 rifle and his left gripping a Beretta. He glanced over his shoulder, curious if the beast was still chasing him until something that felt like a rope or wire snagged his right ankle. His right foot was immediately yanked out from under him. The back of his head slammed against the asphalt and a white glare flashed before his eyes before darkness followed. The man was dragged across the ground, his pistol left on the ground before he was jerked into the air to dangle by his leg. His rifle slipped down his body to clatter on the asphalt below. A large cow bell clanged, its ringing echoing off the walls and resonating throughout the city.

The creature followed the sound, scuttling until it positioned itself beneath the meat that dangled teasingly from a string. It reared up on its hind legs, and spread its spiny jaws. The spines along its neck anxiously flared as it leapt and snapped at the dangling morsel before its weight drove it back down. Blood dripping from the back of the man’s head dripped on its muzzle, causing the gills at its neck to flare and shudder with a monstrous growl.

By now the yays have it, I'm going to give everyone two rounds. You all just better make sure you post two rounds. If I see people only capable of posting one round, then we're going to go right back to one round posting.
Hey all, thank you for your speedy interest. I did manage to find someone who I am going to start the adventure with. If for whatever reason the story concludes, I'll be looking in here at those who have shown interest. If you're no longer interested by the time that day comes, then that is all right.
I'm going to keep this Interest Check open until someone fills the role. When the role is filled, I'll post a notification to let players know it's filled but don't let that stop you from posting CSes for prospective characters. As I said, whatever happens, they'll be alternates to be able to jump into the story.

I am looking for a good writer who is confident in their writing ability, and who is interested in running a 1x1 post-apocalyptic game with me. As the title says, I am seeking someone to play a female character. This game will be a survivor on Earth where no one really knows what caused The Wasteland. As the two characters travel about trying to unravel the mystery, they run into numerous dangers: cannibals, zombie mutants, vampires, werewolves, and even alien creatures. Of course these will be discovered gradually.

The characters can either be completely human or paranormal but nothing extreme. No pure-blood vampires, werewolves, phantoms, half-zombies, etc. They won't have a power without there being a consequence because this is a survivor game and this isn't meant to be a walk-in-the-park.

I am not going to post a CS unless those applying feel they need one because we know what the basic CS asks for. I am going to choose the best concept. If I don't choose your concept, it doesn't mean that you're a bad writer. Since I may or may not have ever written with you before, I could pick what I feel is a good concept to start with, but that writer may not mesh well with me. So, anyone who applies to this game are alternates in the case the player disappears, we find that our ideas aren't meshing well, whatever reason.

Goal: I hope to be able to just write a fun and spectacular story with you. I love when there's chemistry between characters. I love when there's characters with believable personalities.

Pics: Because this is a mostly realistic-fiction story, I want either digital art or realistic photos for face claims. Try to know who your face claim is. This isn't mandatory, but it will make it easier for you to find more photos.

Q&A

This will be for questions. I'm sure there will be a LOT of questions because there always is. If you are the type of person who asks a billion questions, I may ask you to give me your discord so you don't flood my PM box.

Episode VII: Training Days
July 30th, 2017 | Metro Tower - Metropolis
@Unknown100@Member 00492@Sir Lurksalot@rocketrobie2

Vadim watched the man dressed like a cat walk passed him out of the training room. It made the situation awkward for him. He knew he was quiet, but he hadn’t known he was invisible as well. Could this behavior be because he had missed orientation…if there was an orientation? He had no idea how the Justice League introduced new recruits. As the cat man left, Vadim tugged on the bill of his hat a bit—he was just venting some nervous energy. He liked to believe he was a brave person, but he knew he was different not only genetically but at times also in accent. Dropping his hand, he cleared his throat, and spoke up, “So I guess trainink is over, da? Is d’ere some place new guyz like me can go and feel useful?”

As fun as watching everyone else actively doing something super-hero-y was, it only made him anxious to finally get in the business; game; way of life; whatever this fell under.
