It's gonna be gas. Can't wait to see what sort nonsense you can pull of in focus mode with the funlance and hunting horn. Also, looking forward to new monsters to skin and wear as hats.

Apologies for letting this lingering for so long without anything happening.

It's been decided by @DocRock & I that we're gonna do some time fuckery and split the players into two groups/time line. Anyone interested in participating in the monster hunting plot can set themselves to advance to day 2. The others who aren't will proceed as usual and we're gonna be initiating some player backstory stuff happening to so it isn't completely lopsided.

So, if you're still interested in rping with us, that's gonna be the new plan. Apologies for this period of silence both and kinda in the discord.

"It's fine, apology accepted." He said to her in response.

He'd listen to her explain herself and why she was in a less than friendly disposition. It was all very reasonable and understandable to the point of being dull. Her expression though, that was quite surprising. It didn't escape him how oddly cute it was on her. That contrast between this serious, competent officer and that, it was just too amusing and amusing. He had to turn away, lest she thought he wasn't taking her seriously which he didn't want to do. Yet as he cracked a smile in privacy, he felt an urge to poke tease just a bit.

"Oh, so you do got another side to you. A rather soft and fluffy one." He said to her with a slight chuckle. He felt the urge to rib her just a bit more, but decided to wrap it up as he didn't want to provoke a sword fight with her. Although a friendly spar with would probably be fun, but this wasn't the time for it. He'd add, "Don't worry Cap' we'll be good soldiers and follow your commands." He had fun deflating the heavy and serious tone of the woman.

His joviality would drop for a brief second as he'd say, "Anyway, let's get this done and reconvene with the others afterwards. Hopefully it should be useful meeting with them. At the very least we should be able to get some food for everyone, I don't about you but I'm not a pigeon so stale bread isn't really enjoyable for me." While he was far from being confident in their victory, he didn't let himself get psyched out. Complications were inevitable, but if one could adapt and improvise properly, even an unfavorable situation can be reversed.
"Yup." He said in reply to the man asking if he killed Valar. He graciously accepted the bag full of Beris and tucked it away for safekeeping. "Thank you." He said to the mayor. He was about to leave, but then the mayor continued to speak and gave him a sealed letter. He spoke of this man and needing to have this letter delivered to him. Flint racked his brain to see if he could recall anything that might help him, but nothing seemed to pop out. But that wasn't going to hinder him, he wouldn't be good as a bounty hunter if he couldn't find people, especially those who were trying to not be found.

"This man he shouldn't be too far off then, if he came to you only a couple of days ago right?" He asked as he also stored away the letter, but not before looking at that wax seal. This was truly important to deliver and he definitely wouldn't want to fail on this errand. "Well for whatever it's worth, you got my honor as an ex-administer of justice that I'll get that done for you." He said to the mayor before walking away. He took a pause as he thought about his original set of tasks he was supposed to do before he ended up sidetracked fighting Valar and his crew. Right, more supplies and a pet for the Captain.

Flint felt uncertain as to how long they could mingle before they began to draw attention. Ultimately he decided they should just leave and head to the nearest island and hopefully avoid any undue attention. It's not like the Captain and her ship were particularly infamous, individual crew bounties notwithstanding. Better to play it safe though, and get out while it's still calm. He would return to the ship and find himself seeing two new faces with Handel. There was a man and a big fluffy dog. Without skipping a beat he said casually, "Hey Handel, nice dog where'd you get him? It doesn't matter too much having to explain him, but you mind if I pretend having this dog was planned? In all the excitement on this island, I seemed to have forgotten to get my duties completed. But at least one of them would be complete with this dog. Anyway, once Alesia gets back with the others we should get off this island. This dragon Zoan that joined her decided it would be a good idea to torch the entire fucking swamp."

He then turned his attention to Coyote extending a hand, "Hey there new guy, and what might be your name? Name's Fint Ironstag and I see you're acquainted with Handel. If she's already vetted I'm sure you'll have no problem coming aboard with us. As you can see, we're in the middle of something but once everyone gets here, things will get active. So, you got any useful skills for sailing are you just gonna be doing grunt work?"

@Noodles@Stern Algorithm@EnterTheHero
"Don't worry about me, I'll get him turned in and get that money. However, you're right. With that stunt of blowing up the swamp we're likely to get unwanted attention so I suggest you decide quickly if you want to poke around in the cave or not. I think their ship was hidden in the cave, so I could possibly get the ship inside and pick everyone up and leave this island since their ship is probably destroyed. Anyway, I need to go and drop this guy off." Flint replied to Bakuto before entering town.

He posed the Captain like a passed out buddy and maneuvered themselves through the streets. The air was even more smokier as not only was the Tavern still smouldering, but also the swamp behind the town was also burnt to a crisp. He'd try and keep a low profile as he went back to the mayor. "Your pirate problem has been solved, although not in a very quiet manner. Wish I could have captured him alive, but ehh. I'm worried about marine presence and I'd like to turn him in for that bounty on his head and leave before it gets too hot here."
sure why not
Going to make that server after all?
Flint while glad they finally defeated Valar, was less than glad about the way of going about it. There was audible "tsking" as he was hoping they could have found a way to incapacitate the captain and turn him in for the bounty. At least the body wasn't mangled despite all the fire and explosions so they had that at least. "You know while I'm fine with needing to kill if be, I was hoping we could take this bastard alive and turn him in for that decent bounty he and his crew have. But hey, you saved our necks and at least he's identifiable. Anyway, I'm going to take him in and get that pet you wanted." Flint said to Alesia with just a little nod to Valar to make that terrible one-liner sink in.

The man would just flop the corpse over his should liked weighed nothing. He briefly walked alongside her before stopping to say, "You might want to check that cave the pirates were hiding in. Hopefully there's something worth salvaging inside even if the fire did rock that cave." He walked briskly through the torched swamp. While the extra weight wouldn't matter to him, the soft waterlogged ground was trying to eat his boots in certain spots and he had no desire to lose a good pair of boots in swamp muck. He kept walking and then would drag the corpse towards the town.
The fact that communication is "live" than posting here lets you plan or communicate things quickly is probably the most convenient thing along with being able to ping people and whatnot. Other than that I'm pretty agnostic on a discord. Like people like it and it has its uses but I don't find it nigh-essential to have.

As for a generic structure for a server, an on-topic and off-topic server are pretty all you need. I don't see the RP as being that big and complex that you'd need multiple sections dedicated to the rp. But, if you wanted to get fancier, you could do on-topic and a channel dedicated to planning in case you don't want stuff to get lost in chatter.
Yeah lol.
I'm fine with it. The game's so slow that the warning to remember to keep the OOC thread active so it can attract people is non-applicable.
