Rose Buckner

Location: Diner -> outside the Diner
Skills: N/A

Rose hurried up in the back. Dropping off her apron and clocking out. Then she grabbed her backpack and helmet before heading back out to the dining area. "Thanks boss, see ya. I'm gonna leave my bike here. I'll be back to pick it up before nightfall." She shouted and started outside waving the others along to follow her. There was no way they would all fit on her bike so it was out of the picture for transport. She just wanted to make sure it would be secure before leaving it here for the day. After checking she faced the others.

"Well it's gotta be one of yours in that case. Mab makes a good point. Also, my motorcycle is fairly recognizable so if someone is watching me they'll know exactly which vehicle I'd be on." A shiver of paranoia took hold of Rose for a moment. She had always appreciated a degree of anonymity by virtue of her history, though if someone had really wanted there probably was an article or two from when she was a kid about how her parents had found her lost in the woods.

They both were young and growing so they were both hungry. He wondered what Mathew was up to, when one of the girls grabbed him and was dragging him off toward the bathrooms. "You know for someone who has supposedly watched us for years...you're not the most subtle. And if you want their attention why didn't you just sit with them and have us show our letters if they have the same they'd be likely to talk to us. Right now you're just being creepy" Colby whispered. He was certain the sister left behind at the table would hear him, and he was okay with that.

The whole situation was just bizarre when he tried to think about it. But it was like that frog being slowly heated in the water. His day went from a mysterious letter to a trail of clues. He didn't know what these two girls had experienced so far. They had to have the letter at least and that was the whole reason he was even considering sitting at the table in a Chinese restaurant with a stranger.

A small relieved sigh escaped Niah when Bonnie confirmed that she was okay. Her shoulder tensed only slightly when Luminous was mentioned and she tried to shake it off. There was a lot to try to shake off though. Niah took a deep breath and smiled at Bonnie, satisfied that her friend would be okay and was in...well...capable hands.

Niah frowned at Tinley mentioning that Maria, Novi, and Oliver all had not joined them. She wondered if they were aware of what the meetup point was. Or if something bad had happened to them. She'd feel awful if the latter. Though she knew Maria and Novi could both handle themselves just fine. Oliver was new so she had no idea of what he was capable of.

She made herself busy trying to secure the presents she had grabbed to the trike. And did her best to not think of what her body would look like if she was thrown off at high speeds. But that was like trying not to think of a pink elephant, which she decided was way better to think of and tried to picture a pink elephant as best she could. At least until Cass was ready to go and then she kept her will as best she could while climbing on behind her friend.

Matt nodded at Tinley and grabbed a gift before climbing back on his motorcycle. He waited for Harry to climb on again before taking off. Matt was tempted to just give Deadpool a zap of his paralytic power just for the satisfaction. He decided it was best not to though. Niah looked sick again at the thought of climbing onto the bikes and he wondered why she had such a strong fear over it. He loved the freedom a motorcycle gave him. Especially in busy cities like San Francisco.

"I certainly am ready to open presents. And check on the others." He remembered his concern from earlier when the others hadn't joined them. He was more concerned now. There was no way that guy who was even newer than him would be any good in a fight. He could guess that the two women would have to take care of themselves. And of course, there was that weird quiet one that just stood in the corner the whole time.

I'll post Monday

Andy

Location: the cabins -> Hades Cabin

Andy tried to smile at Mary and give her a brave face. "I'll be okay." She said, her voice soft. Andy didn't know if she would or wouldn't be okay. She did know she was feeling more than she wanted to. She wanted to just not care about it, but she couldn't. Andy half followed Leda, surprised the older girl wasn't zipping around faster than any of them could keep up.

Arriving at Ash's cabin she was surprised that there were several other people there, already going through Ash's stuff. At least it seemed they were doing it respectfully. Andy wanted to just hide behind someone, but there wasn't anyone for her to do that to. She had lost track of Demetri which worried her. For a second her stomach twisted and she feared the worst had happened to her brother.

"Bonnie!" Concern was written deep in Niah's features when Bonnie was hit. She glared at Deadpool ready to launch herself at him and just punch him, knowing perfectly well she wasn't any good at that, but it would make her feel better she thought. But Sparky was shocking Deadpool and he was now unconscious.

She wanted to go and help Bonnie, but Flynn was already at her side. She'd check on her after she found the immobilization field. Niah searched and was able to find the balls for the field. She collected them and then started finding any of the other gifts that Deadpool had taken, making sure she found the one from her to Bonnie.

Things went sideways. Bonnie had been hit and was down, and only he and Henry had actually hit Deadpool with the darts. So, Deadpool would be slightly weaker. Matt was about to run forward and try to paralyze Deadpool but Sparky had shocked him unconscious. He stepped forward to check on Deadpool. It looked like he would be unconscious for a while, with his healing factor diminished from the darts. He nodded, then looked to Tinley.

"What should we do with him? I can paralyze him for a bit, but I suspect once his healing comes back he'll be able to, I guess heal that. I've never really thought about how it works and if it would work on someone with his power set." Matt gave a small shrug. "Technically, what he did was harmless. Well, except for hitting Bonnie. So I don't know if we can bring him in. Your call."

Rose Buckner

"Let me clock out and put away my apron." She was thankful the diner was dead so she could leave early. Rose quickly left the table and switched out her stuff before rejoining the other three. They all looked ready to go as well. Willow seemed particularly upset. She could understand even though she had always known she was adopted she couldn't imagine what the woman was going through. Rose tried to give her a reassuring smile.

"Oh, I've only got my motorcycle, but if we want to all drive there together I can leave it here." A part of Rose wanted to ride her motorcycle there, but she also wanted to use the time in the car to discuss their options. She checked her phone and saw a thumbs up from her manager at the bar. Well, that was covered at least. If she went missing at least someone would know.

"I was deciding what to eat. I want Broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork. And water too please." Colby said. A little frustration in his voice. It was weird that they had come to this specific restaurant and there were two of the people from the photos sitting there. Tinker had to have known they were here. So, how creepy stalker-y were Tinker and Merlin. How much of his life was documented by these people? Was he falling for some trick that should have been easy to catch?

He tried to look normal. But he felt suddenly like he was on a sting operation or something. Had these girls gotten the same letter already? Were they thinking about who their real parents were. He was tempted to say something. Bring attention to the fact that they too were like him, trapped in a world that was not their own. He let Tinker take lead though. He didn't know what the plans were and maybe if he had a better idea of what she was doing and saying to the others he'd understand the situation better. Also, how do you start a conversation like this 'oh yeah so that letter you got I got one too and this lady here is a fairy and she's gonna take us back to our real parents. My dad is a cat.' Yep sounded looney.

Andy

Location: The arena -> the cabins

"I don't even know what to say at a funeral. I've never been to one." Andy confessed. And even if she had, she thought, she wouldn't know how to act at a Demi-god funeral. She hated that. Hated not knowing. Hated not having Ash here to defuse the attention from herself by asking the questions they both wanted answers to. She wasn't mad at Ash, her death wasn't her fault. But she was mad. Rage at the situation and how she had gotten comfortable and all that had been taken from her. She couldn't hide behind the boisterous personality that was Ash anymore. Kiera hadn't answered the other part of her question though. Andy had wanted to know if she had known anything that Ash might have wanted with her.

Irritated and angry at it all she started walking toward the cabins. She'd collect what few things Ash had had here, and maybe get a pretty bow from one of Mona's siblings. At least Tammy had made a beautiful shroud. It looked like something Ash might have liked, but Andy couldn't be certain. The two had only known each other a week. In all Andy's life, she had never allowed herself to get close to someone that quickly. And now she was hurt because of it. She wanted to yell that at Ezekiel. He had been trying all week to get her to open up more and all it had done was what it always did. Hurt.
The group all connected felt the pressure of the fog snap and release. It didn't go away but it felt less oppressive as if whatever had been trying to drive them to get lost knew it has failed. The noises faded, not completely but enough that the group no longer felt the pull of their worlds. Replaced by jingle bells that even Astrid could hear. Inexplicably they all knew in their heart of hearts whether they believed or not that was the sound of Saint Nicholas' sleigh.

Kade shifted nervously. It was the wrong time of year, months from when Santa should be speeding around the planet.

Astrid found the thread of tangled magic clear in her mind even more. A small part wondering if it was Santa's gift that she should pass this test. She led the group unerring through twists and turns that in the fog would have easily lost any one of them if they weren't linked. As she guided them the jingling sound rose until it was overpowering the other noises the group individually heard.

Astrid was so focused on the feel of the tangle that she failed to realize she had found what could only be described as the end of the world. She took a step forward, but Sumi held onto her shirt and pulled her back before Astrid could fall into the abyss of fog before her.

The bells were ringing so loud that conversation at normal volume would be impossible.
Sorry for the extended delay since I last posted. The holidays and being sick took a lot out of me.

AND CONGRATS!!! We've been doing this RP for two years now!
