Rose rubbed her hands together, she was more than a little freaked out. Rose glanced at the corpses, according to the curly-haired girl, and then at the woman who introduced herself as Megan Pendragon. Okay, so there was a guy saying his name was Merlin, and he was a murderer if the curly-haired girl was to be believed, and some woman with the classic Arthur last name. "Wait. Merlin and Pendragon. Sent by who? And you're behind the letters? Does that mean you know my birth parents?" Rose was glad she knew a little close combat, though if this guy could burn people close combat fighting would be very unhelpful. She was not excited about what was going on. "Did you get a letter too?" Rose asked the curly-haired girl.

She glanced over her shoulder at Willow's car. She hoped Mab was okay. They were probably freaked out by how many people were here, and maybe nervous about the sirens. "And did you say Maleficent. That isn't even the same universe as Arthur Pendragon. You're just cobbling a bunch of fairy tales together and trying to convince us it is all okay?"

Colby waited nervously. He didn't like that he was concerned about Mathew so he leaned against a wall, trying to pretend to be cool. He nodded when Mathew came out. "Good." He stepped away from the bathroom and headed back to the table. There was now going to be five at the table. He figured he'd let the sisters have their own side of the table to themselves.

"Tink scoot over." He said, and waited for her to move so he could sit next to her. "I don't want them to feel trapped if they stick around so they can sit on their own side and leave if they want." He tried to give Cass a reassuring smile but said to her. "I totally understand if you don't want to believe her. Today has been weird. I don't know if this will help though." He pulled out his own letter and laid it on the table. "Mathew here has one too."

Mostly out of habit she waved to Madalyne, but gave the older girl a smile as well. Mary listened to Penny gush about her sister and for a moment she wished she had a sibling. Sure there were plenty of cousins, most distant. But there was a special bond for siblings. Something she envied of her best friends.

When the head boy and girl started talking about their responsibilities Mary got nervous. What if she didn't know the answer to the riddle that the door knocker asked? Mary bit her lip chewing on it slightly before she decided she would see if any of the first years knew the answer. One thing about the riddles that was helpful was you could always wait and ask a friend if they knew the answer. And of course, her counterpart, Talbott, might know the answer too.

After the Head's asked if anyone would help plan the ball, Mary's hand shot up. She loved the idea of getting to help plan for the ball. She suspected this year would be busy and stressful with the additional duties, but she couldn't pass up the idea of getting to help plan a party. Mary kicked Artie on the shin slightly hoping he would take her hint to raise his hand to offer to help. "I'd love to." Praying mentally that Artie would raise his hand first before Madalyne would have a chance.

"Thanks Eva." Andy said, she stood up and slipped on her shoes. Then waited for Arthur. The world felt heavy. She considered quickly packing, she didn't have much in the way of worldly goods. She decided she carried everything she would need until they got to camp Jupiter. All she did was check to make sure her bracelet was on her wrist. It was her most important possession. She could lose everything she currently owned, which was just some shirts and a toothbrush, and wouldn't care. As long as she still had her bracelet.

Once Arthur was ready she walked beside him to the dining pavilion. There wasn't anything to say. No words would make things better. And filling the silence with meanless words felt like a lie. "Zeus' table?" She asked, feeling that Arthur would prefer it over his own father's table at the moment. Though the small sacrifice with the meal would be rough. She considered what to say for a moment at the brazier and in the end, she just said "Let this trip to Camp Jupiter be a smooth one." And then she picked at her breakfast.

Roman had been replaced? Or had he been an alien the whole time? Was he an alien in the alternate timeline? Niah blinked as her mind raced over the possibilities. She didn't like the potential answers to any of the questions. "I'm not a pod person." Niah said as she sat down to open her gift. She was happily surprised that it was a forensic textbook that she hadn't read yet.

Niah glanced around the room trying to guess who had gotten her gift. She was pleased that Bonnie appreciated the one she gave her. Later she would have to give her the private gift, but that could be dealt with after the part. She went through who might have gotten her gift and she honestly had no idea. It was an obvious gift to give her. Though kudos to whoever was her secret Santa since they found a book she hadn't already read. "Thank you to my Secret Santa for my gift. I look forward to reading this."

A genuine and large smile spread across Niah's face as Maria gave Novikova a ring. She was pleased they were together, and the ring was beautiful.

"I promise I'm not an alien. I wonder if they can copy powers? If not that might be a good way to tell, at least for those of us with powers." Matt didn't know much about aliens, or at least not ones that weren't from Science fiction. It was unfortunate that this alien had been killed. Now they couldn't ask. Matt wondered how much SHIELD already knew about these aliens. If there was some documentation that Tony Stark had alerts around it might be enough, but from the way Oliver talked about it SHIELD only barely knew the aliens even existed. He didn't get the joke that Niah was making though.

Henry's offer sounded fun Matt decided. He chose a seat and opened his gift. It was an extremely kind "date night" type of gift. He didn't know who he would share it with, and for a moment Matt let the grief of his lost relationship cross his face before turning it into a bright smile. "Thank you Secret Santa. Who would like to catch a movie with me?" He had a strong feeling it had been Bonnie who had gotten him the gift, so he didn't want to ask her specifically if she'd like to go with him. Matt knew Bonnie and Flynn were an item, and well he didn't want Flynn to think he was hitting on Bonnie.

He was however surprised when Maria gave Novikova a ring. He had thought they were already engaged. To his knowledge, they lived in an apartment off-campus

Rose put her hand on Willow's shoulder from the back seat. She was sympathetic to Willow's suffering. Rose may not be able to relate directly since she had always known she was adopted. Though she did try to think about how she would feel if she was only finding out today. Rose would be heartbroken she decided. She also was certain that if that was the case she probably could never face her parents again. She removed her hand and sent a quick text to her parents thanking them and letting them know she loved them bunches, with an added caveat that she would call them later that day. Though with what Mab said Rose realized she had missed on out on a lot of the childhood white lies. The Buckners had figured she was too old for that stuff when they adopted her so they just never bothered with it.

Arriving at the park she got out of Willow's SUV and looked around. Sierra had a point. Something wild had happened at the park. There was a literal bench torn from the ground and toss around. Oh and bodies...Were they corpses? Rose certainly hoped not. "We either just missed a wild party or...Something very bad just happened here." Heck the cops weren't even there yet, though by the sound of it they were on their way. Rose let out a hiss of air and looked at the man and two women talking to him. It looked like the action had involved them and curiosity got the better of her. She started walking toward them.

Colby's jaw dropped as the girl sat at the table. This was crazy, a part of his brain thought. Run girl. You don't want to hear what this fairy has to say. She'll only destroy everything you've ever believed. But he didn't say anything. He just fiddled with the napkin in front of him. He started folding it. Trying to remind his hands of motions and not to think about how much this day had turned his life upsidedown.

He was okay with the girl mostly ignoring him. Colby really did prefer to be invisible when he could. And Tinker was infinitely more interesting then he was at the moment. That was fair. He was starting to get concerned about Maddie though. The kid had been gone a while...and the other girl had dragged him away. Colby frowned and said "I'll be right back." And he went to the restroom. In the men's room, he said, "Mathew you in here?" When there was no response he left the room and stood outside the women's room for a few seconds. They had to be in there, but he certainly wasn't going in, so he shouted. "Mathew are you okay?"

"Hello, Mrs. Locke." Mary brightly greeted Georgina's Mother before giving Georgina a hug. "Not yet-" She started to say when she was semi-tackled by Artie. Mary laughed and turned the hug into a little bit of a dance jig. Her father seemed to mentally share a look with himself. Now that her little group was all there she was ready to get on the train.
"Summer was banging. Father and I went to the beach." She responded to Apollo. "We stayed in a nice little cottage some family member of ours owned and had lent us. It was very kind and a fantabulous couple of weeks."

Of course, Madalyne had to say her hellos. Mary shared a nod with her. Their relationship would only ever be tense. A part of Mary just couldn't trust Madalyne. And now she was reminded that Madalyne was a prefect too. She was going to have to work with her. Mary kept control of her face and the groan that threatened to escape her at the thought. Mary wanted to remind Madalyne that Apollo was muggleborn so he certainly wouldn't have been able to do magic at home, but she kept her mouth shut about it. Blessedly Madalyne was gone and even better replaced by Mintfree.

Mary smiled brightly at Fae, "How did you know I made prefect?" Mary asked, her father laughed and asked: "oh you didn't post it in the Daily Prophet?" Mary shot her father a glare at the joke. She wasn't certain if she would actually rib Madalyne about not waiting for Fae. She was a bit concerned it might make their relationship even tenser. But she flushed a little when Mintfree said she would owe her one. Mary was nodding and watching Mintfree leave so she didn't see her dad's dawning realization cross his face.

"Right train." Mary said snapping out of it. "Love you dad, gotta book." She said giving him a quick peck on the cheek. "We'll catch up with you two later." She said to Apollo and Georgina and dragging her luggage, bird and all, into the train. Then made her way to Compartment one, she waited for Artie to catch up with her before entering.

Opening the door she smiled at Penny and took a seat near her after shoving her luggage in an open spot. She held onto on her owl though. The thought to tease Madalyne crossed her mind and she decided against it. For now.

Flynn could shut the hell up. Niah thought. Yes, Bonnie was hurt, but that was no reason to be snapping at Tempest. She clenched her jaw trying not to be angry at him. He was worried about Bonnie. That was a valid feeling. But Niah knew that wasn't the only reason she was mad at him, and she couldn't continue to hold a grudge against something that he had no memory of.

On the drive back Niah tried to let her anger fall away. She thought about the good things from the day. The team had come together, they had gotten the gifts back. She could give Bonnie the gifts she got her. One for the secret Santa exchange and one for her privately. Even if in a weird way the second gift... She cut off the thought and tried to relax taking a couple of deep breaths.

At the Hub common room, she looked at the green creature on the floor confused. What the heck was that? Was this why Novi Maria and Oliver hadn't joined them in the park? And where was Roman?

Matt, after getting off the bike, said to Harry. "If you ever want to go to the range with me let me know. You're a good shot." He felt a little awkward saying it. Hoping he didn't come off as condescending, he really did think Harry was a good shot and would enjoy time at the shooting range. What he hoped was Harry wouldn't think he was hitting on him.

Then Matt headed back to his room, to change out of his riding gear. This time he kept his gun on him though, under his coat. He didn't particularly care to get caught unaware again. After he changed back into his holiday outfit he returned to the common room. As he went for a stiff drink he stared at the green stiff on the floor. "That's new. Right? That wasn't there before we left?"

Andy

Andy woke and for a blissful moment, she forgot her best friend was dead. And then it all came crashing back. The funeral had been...well a funeral. Andy had never been to one before so it wasn't like she could compare it to any others she had been to before, but at least nothing dramatic had happened. She turned over to look for her brother but found him gone. Then she saw that Arthur was still asleep, but seemed to be stirring. He would be awake soon Andy suspected.

She got up and went to the bathroom real quick. Not wanting to be in there when Arthur woke up. She changed out of her sleepwear and was sitting on her bed again to put on her shoes. And then she waited for Arthur to wake up. To ask him to go to breakfast with her. She didn't want to be alone. She didn't want him to be alone.

"Hungry?" Was all she said when he finally did wake.
Even as the clanging of bells filled the air Sumi ignored it and examined the edge. She bit at her lip as she thought. Her hand running along the edge, and then a tentative foot placed out into the open air searching. Sumi looked much like she had at the top of the castle. She seemed to get increasingly frustrated as she found only empty air. "How far are we from the tangle?" She asked Astrid, having to yell over the sound of the bells. She was certain after this if she wasn't partially deafened she would always hear the sound of bells.

Kade tried to give her a reassuring smile, but it looked much like how he felt, nervous and painful. Christopher had already moved to plug his ears and was pleasantly surprised when it seemed to lessen the noise.

As for the bells there seemed to be no direction it came from. What might have been a blessing in the beginning as it had driven away the sounds that called the group to their homes it was no only a nuisance.

But then as Astrid went to speak, her voice loud to overcome the sound of the bells it cut off. Stopped and gone. Though it didn't end the ringing in any of their ears.

The summer had been kind to Mary. Her father had been able to spend a good portion of it with her and the two had even gotten to go on vacation. It had been a lovely two weeks. Coming back had been rough. The news now was almost as bad as it had been in what had felt like forever ago, but really had only been almost three years.

On the platform, Mr. Winthrop pulled her tight and said "My little prefect. Even I didn't get that honor while at Hogwarts." He placed a kiss on the top of her head, something that was significantly difficult for him compared to the year prior. She enjoyed the praise but her cheeks reddened and she squirmed out of his hug. "Sorry darling, I'm just so proud of you."

"I know dad, but I'm fifteen now." He seemed to understand, but looked sad about the whole matter. "Besides I'm looking for the twins. Artemis got prefect too. I want to go on the train with him." Her father raised an eyebrow at her mentioning of the twins, she ignored it. While he couldn't tell the twins apart on sight he did know their differences from the stories Mary had told. Artemis was the Hufflepuff and Mary would excitedly tell him the best dancer at school. Mr. Winthrop didn't say it but he suspected one of the twins would end up being Mary's boyfriend someday. If he did say it Mary would have contradicted him. She didn't like either of them that way.

It was frustratingly close to the time the train would leave. They only had ten minutes. Where were those twins? And Georgina. She didn't want to leave Apollo alone. Mary thought of everyone they were friends with and was quite dismayed that Apollo would only have Georgina to hang out with on the train, but at least he would have her. Even Madalyn was a prefect. Mary kept her eye roll at the thought of Madalyn to herself. There was nothing technically wrong about the older girl...except her choice in friends from Slytherin.
