Matt checked the corpse. It was in fact a corpse. That was good. Matt didn't want it getting back up while his back was turned. He was still a bit tempted to put another couple bullets through the guy just to be certain. This guy Thanos had some nasty subordinates.

He followed after Tinley and entered just in time to hear the question about transport. "Yes, it is." He wasn't lying since Strange and the others had shown up. They all looked beat up...and Raynor wasn't with them, which after what Tinley had said about him being a Skrull that was probably good. They didn't understand the Skrull aliens yet, and having one on their team again was not good. Bonnie was going to have to do the blood tests all over now. He sighed.

Matt glared at Thane for his comment about Tinley. He'd let her slap him herself if she desired. He did nod at the guards doing the handoff. His wrist was throbbing, but there would be time to get it fixed after those with direr injures were taken care of. Like Bonnie. She was lucky to be alive, and Matt was pretty impressed with her.

"I'm pretty certain my name is made up, I don't think there is a Latin version." Niah laughed. Her father had named her after a family friend. She had no idea what it meant. If anything.

"I'm going to pretend you didn't tell me how you were going to acquire the phone. But yeah I can use one. Though remember they do attract monsters for some reason. Maybe it will be fine if I don't make any calls. However, if I do make a call I could call my dad and see if he would wire me money." That made her feel better about their future on this quest. At least they'd have food and a hotel room when the time came for them to sleep places other than the train.

Niah felt comfortable with technology she was a child of the new millennium, unlike the two before her. Even with the inability to make proper phone calls with cell phones, she had used them a fair amount. She smiled at them.

"I think that's brilliant." Niah was excited at the idea of bracelets that matched Nancy and Madalyne's. It would be a nice memento from the trip. "Though I think it'll have to wait till we get back to camp. I'm sure the crafts area has something we can work with." Not that Niah went to the crafts area much. It wasn't something she was interested in, and she rarely had the time.

Not knowing exactly where they were going to end up after Fargo worried Niah. She wished they had access to a computer or something so they could look up Mount Rushmore. She was also glad no random annoying adult had stepped up to them and said something like they should be a school. A lot of this quest was going to be just making decisions on the fly.

Niah chewed on a nugget thinking. She spent a moment in silence before finally saying. "Do we have any longer stops? Places where we can go to a library and look up stuff about Mount Rushmore?" She didn't want to go into a fight with a dragon blind. Oh, and they'd have to figure out how to get into the park, it probably cost money too.
As Alexander focused on the wind it was hard to tell at first. He could hear it, and could even hear parts of it being obstructed. But it seemed like whatever obstructed it didn't last long. Invisible....moving....platforms. Alexander would struggle to keep tracking them, but it appeared there was some sort of pattern.

"I'm concerned about this place is all." Kade's accent came out soft. He wasn't certain of what to think about it. This was a quest. They had lost one of their numbers, but it was likely they would lose a second.

Sumi still stood on the edge. She turned back to face the nothingness in front of them. "We have to get there. We have to get to the knot."

Niah felt a sense of relief when Nancy said not to sweat it. She seemed to genuinely not care. It was a nice feeling. Not having the weight of every action being judged. There would come a day when she could retire from the Legion and move on with her life. Sure, it was likely she'd stay in New Rome, but Niah really wanted to leave and study the real world. Being out and about in it made it feel like that was even more possible. The normalcy of people on the train was a nice breather.

She smiled and happily shoved food into her mouth. Laughing at Nancy's joke about Mystiokinesis. "Is that teachable? I know a lot of gifts aren't. Like I wouldn't even know how to teach what I feel with the Oath thing, I might be able to teach Odikinesis. There are a few of the Mars kids who can do it." She used the proper name this time, sticking with Roman. Really though she knew the Romans had stolen most of it from the Greeks anyway.

She put the pile of teeth on a napkin on the table. "What what your idea?" She asked Nancy, pushing the teeth her direction before taking a long drink from her soda. One thing Niah wasn't was squeamish.

Manny stood near Zarina watching with interest. It was clear to him that what they had in front of them wasn't even human, which gave him some concerns. He glanced around at the others for a moment then focused on the body. "What can you tell about it?"

Meanwhile, Kyle, stood up, with his cup of coffee, went out into the hall and back the way the girl had come. He knelt down a few times until finally, he was at the far end of the hall where he opened the door. He let out a low whistle. "When you're done with the robot come check this out." He shouted back at them.

Tessa was trying to avoid vomiting as well. It wasn't easy, but she was able to keep what little breakfast she had eaten to stay down. She hadn't had a chance to respond to what she had found in her room. Now she wasn't certain if she wanted to share. Between the idea of it being some weird game show, and now the dead robot?

There was a lot of meaning in a burned photo, and Tessa wanted to figure it out before sharing it with a bunch of randos.

"I found a swimmers cap." Luke said. "I left it in the room though." He was staying at the table, with his back turned. Tessa didn't blame him, she wished she had kept her back turned. Tessa stepped over to the food machine and spent a minute searching menus.

"Oh nice." She clicked a couple of buttons until a bright pink liquid in a cup was ejected. She drank it like a shot. Then she thought about it and pressed a few more buttons. Another cup was ejected, this one filled with a light brown liquid. She drank that and then turned back to the group around the table. "Okay, this machine is probably the coolest thing ever. It has an assortment of over the counter looking drugs, and booze."

Tessa then looked at Zarina, "Alright pulling jaws off corpses aside, uh, what he said." She looked at Manny. Then hearing Kyle holler from down the hall she started that way.

Niah positively giggled. She ran after Nancy onto the train. Giving the conductor a little curtsy. She didn't say anything though just climbed up the stairs to find Nancy. "I'm good. That was amazing. I've never seen anything like it." It was easily the coolest thing she had ever seen.

She took a bag from Mads and a nice long drink from her soda. "I am sorry for making them angrier." Then under her breath at Mads she asked, "Is that Mist control that you used to stop the train?" The adrenaline was a wild ride, nothing like what it was for the war games. She started eating her food.

Rose Buckner

Location: Trail

"My name is Rose." She said as she mentally marked where they were on the trail so she could report the root. One of the guys would grind it down later to make it safe for hikers and joggers like the mother-daughter duo in front of her. There was something unsettling about them. She couldn't quite put her finger on it. She glanced at Sierra to see if her friend caught it too.

"It's fine. Thanks. I've got my bike at the trailhead. I'll take her after we finish our hike. What's the name of the place?" She asked. Rose would look the place up. She certainly didn't want to get into the car with strangers, but if Sierra insisted she would go with her to protect her. She could box, sort of.

Colby Jackson

Location: Park (His car) -> Driving to Apartment
Skills: N/A

"Oh, someone tried to break into my car, but failed." Colby explained. "The Hood girls seem smart. If a bit extreme. I can get behind their thoughts though." He drove away from the park, taking a last look in the review mirror at it. He would never think of the park the same again. It was where he had met Tink and things had gotten weird.

Up to that moment, it had seemed like a prank or something. Heck, even Tink had seemed like a prank at first. He wasn't certain what he thought about being the kid of some cat though.

Soon they were at the apartment complex. He pulled into his parking spot. "Alright meet back in here in thirty?" He figured he could get all of his stuff gathered, and get his cat. He was not leaving Jack here, which really who went on an adventure with their cat? Apparently, the son of the Chesire cat did. He grinned at the thought and climbed out of the car. "Do you have a cooler? We can keep the leftovers in it unless you finish them now."

Mary could feel sweat forming on her brown as she finished pulling the memory from Apollo. She put it into the jar, and then she let herself shake. She handed it to Artie since he was hovering anyway and took several deep breaths. Mary had tuned everything out to help Apollo and she now saw the looks on her friends' faces. Something awful had happened.

That was reinforced when Callum came in. She suddenly wished she hadn't handed Artie the vial with Apollo's memory in it. What if he gave it to Callum? Mary didn't trust the Auror. Her mind went to the sneak-o-scope shoved into her bag. If the Death Eater was dead...It should have been whistling from when she first got on the train. He was the conductor. It should be stopped if it was just him, but it wasn't stopped. She could hear it still in her bag. One of the Aurors was bad news.

Something didn't line up and Mary wasn't certain what it was. The actions of the sneak-o-scope implied that the train conductor wasn't untrustworthy. How much could she trust the item? It was just shy of being a toy. Her father had thought it was important she have it, but he was a doctor not an expert on dark detectors.

Andy

Location: The ship [Topdeck]
Skill: N/A

Some tension Andy had been carrying but hadn't been aware of released from her shoulders when Arthur smirked. She smiled back at the teasing. "Muffins it is." She agreed. It also might have just been the flaw of being a demi-god on a ship full of demi-gods, but she might as well try to mitigate the trouble.

Andy tensed back up when Jason pushed Demetri. Should she get involved? Her brother looked upset. She decided to move between him and Jason. Andy didn't know what Jason meant by not swinging that way.

Listening to the order of shifts Andy nodded. She was happy with those in her group, even if she would have preferred if Arthur had been in the group. When Rebecca included her in the lessons Andy grinned brightly. "I'd love to learn." She wasn't certain what Mist control was, but she was happy to learn something new. Especially from Rebecca who seemed cool, though Andy had picked up that Leda didn't like her for some reason.

Niah Bautista

Location: New Rome - the Senate House

Niah was tired. Her own cup of coffee, something she hadn't been big on drinking before joining the Senate was empty. She had dumped a ridiculous amount of sugar and cream into it to make it palatable. She hated bitter foods, and coffee was the worst offender. Thankfully the meeting came to a close. Why had she agreed to join the Senate? Why had she allowed herself to be pushed into this position? Oh right, she couldn't say no, especially to her best friends. She glanced at the beaded bracelet on her wrist.

Niah was almost done packing up her notes when she noticed something was wrong with Nancy. She knew that look on her face. Niah had seen it enough times. Nancy pulled out of the vision and announced they needed to reconvene. "I'll get those who just left." She said and ran outside. "Hey, everyone come back. Nancy had a vision." Her face was pale with worry as she said it. Something big and terrible was coming down the pipeline and Niah was terrified of what it could be. Niah knew it had to be terrible if Nancy was suggesting they reconvene.
