"Ah, finally my exterior would match my interior." Dalisy knew she was cold-hearted. Her measuring stick was her other-selves. As long as she wasn't out there committing mass murder and enslaving people she figured she was good. Besides she was already dead. If she went deader there was no more afterlife. It wasn't like she had to worry about the great Christian God anymore.

When Arnora pulled Lara into the boat Dalisy considered pushing Lara back into the water. She hated the daughter of Tyr. Lara wasn't special in that sense. She scowled slightly, looking forward again with her longbow prepared to shoot any dangers they could not avoid. Before them were some logs and other such detritus. Nothing that Arnora couldn't avoid.

Andy nodded; she felt warmed by Arthur's hug and his hand in her own. A part of her wanted to stay in his room and just keep being alone with just him. There was so much going on around them all the time. At camp, they had diversions, but here it was just their fellow demigods. But she followed him out of his room and back to the galley, holding his hand the whole time.

Andy had never really felt love before coming to camp, so she couldn't be sure that was what she was experiencing. Even the love of a sibling that she had with Demi was all new. She had a small smile on her face, more peaceful than anything. There was still the sadness and stress of their loss written on her features. She carried it in her shoulders and eyes.

"She was still at the Senate building talking with Maggie, who offered her help. I suppose that is less important now. She might have information on Tartus." Niah doubted that last bit since Maggie had had a peaceful time as Preator. Niah didn't bother trying to correct Nancy's use of 'yeet.' It was a dumb word anyway; if she wanted to make it sound even sillier, she could Niah supposed.

"Let's get caffeine first." Niah didn't care for the bitterness of coffee, even when it was hidden by as much sugar as possible, making her caffeine of choice was tea. "If we run into Leandra, we can tell her she can re-adjust her schedule yet again." Niah sighed, considered the simplicity of her early life at camp while wishing for the ability to not be in charge again. Those were the good days. Maybe she should have lied when she came to camp and said she didn't have a letter from her mother even if it had kept her from having to shovel elephant poop.

"Hey Alexia." Emily said with a smile. The engineer was an interesting cookie. Em liked her well enough, but honestly, it wasn't hard to be liked by Em. As long as you weren't an ass, her naturally sunny disposition made it easy to chat with her. "Not much here. Other than the usual fifth cohort life." She grinned. "Got some nice manure from Hannibal for this seasons planting." It was dirty and gross, but hey, it was good for the plants.

"You know I don't think it is black coffee when you add creme to it." Emily joked, then shrugged. "But who am I to talk about the fine balance of coffee blends. I could talk about wine all day, though." Emily's grin grew. She was known for skating the edge of rule-breaking, though she opted for coffee while in New Rome, everyone knew Emily had two future career options. One was psychology, and one was becoming a vintner. She'd be fantastic in either.

"But enough about me. How has your morning been so far? Anything interesting?" Her tone shifted, became softer and caring. Emily always sounded like she cared about how other people were feeling. Unless they decided to bring up politics, then her brain would shut off, and she'd zone out. It seemed she was incapable of processing politics.

"Guess that's my cue." Niah said. She drew her invisible sword and focused her Odikinesis trying to demoralize the Cyclops', she hoped with the drakon, and four of their buddies head's exploding they would be already heading that direction. It didn't look like it worked all that well, but at least it wasn't like the werewolves who had got angrier, though that might have just been cause they were werewolves.

She swung her sword and missed as the Cyclops noticed her coming. Dangit. It blocked her attack and swung to hit her, but she was able to dodge it. She thrust her sword and connected, but its hide was too thick, and she nearly bounced off of it, doing no significant damage. "You've got to be kidding me. Tae."

Gordon looked at Vinne, "Could be both." He winked at her. Other than Sophia and Zari's discovery, it seemed little had been found by the search groups.

With the group gathered back in the Galley, the conversation turned to the worrisome note Sophia had found. Tessa sat on the table, feet on the bench, braiding a small section of hair. For Vinnie, there was something familiar about the motion, as if she had seen Tessa doing it before. Vinnie got the feeling of tests as she watched Tessa.

Tessa looked over at Manny, who was looking at the note. He nodded as if he decided something. "Alright, the biggest place we've seen is the Atrium. If there is going to be a way further into this ship, it'll probably be there. None of you happen to be spaceship builders or like astrophysicists or something by chance?"

Noah shifted. "Not astrophysics but, something close, I think. There is a lot of math in my head about what it would take to get here. It isn't easy. The worst part is unless whoever put us here knows how to manipulate gravity or has wormhole technology; it isn't the distance that is the issue." Noah frowned. Tessa tilted her head, trying to understand what Noah meant.

"Care to explain to the uh...I don't know English majors in the group?" Tessa asked, raising her hand. Noah nodded and looked at her.

"Time. Even at the speed of light, we are a long time away from home." It clicked. She understood relativity well enough. She didn't think she was an English Major, but there was a joke at the edge of her memory. Something about what to do with a BA in English, which she weirdly wanted to sing.

"I suggest we check out the Atrium, see if we can find a way out of there into the rest of the ship. Yeah, keep the same groups. Gordon, you can pick a group to join."

"I'll just join you and Luke." Gordon said.

"What are you hoping we'll find there, oh, Captain, my Captain." Tessa frowned at what Kyle said there was that nagging feeling of knowing something again but with no context. She knew she had heard that phrase but had no idea from where. However, she had an extremely clear image of who Batman was in her head. She felt that if asked, she could quote the show and comics. Her memory flooded with pictures of the DC Universe of comics. She'd have to sort through that later. "As for killing or not killing," Kyle said to Cal. "I think I prefer trying not to kill, but if our lives are truly in danger I have no problem with it."

Noah, Gordon, and Tessa all seemed hesitant at the idea. Tessa going so far as to say, "Honestly, I don't know if I can do it. I suppose we'll see if it comes down to it."

"As long as it isn't my blood, I think I'll be okay." Luke said. Tessa could guess Luke had never had to kill anyone before, but he seemed sure of his body. She also could take a not so wild guess that Manny wouldn't have an issue with it. It felt like he had been trained for this sort of situation, which explained why he had also taken charge so easily. Not that anyone had stepped in and tried to assert control of the group.

Knives were collected by the group, each person trying to find a place to store said knife on themselves without also hurting themself.

Manny walked over to Cal and looked at the vial she had. There were no markings on it. And the bottle was extremely standard looking. "I don't know what it could be, but let me get a syringe from the machine in case we need it." He entered a pattern into the replicator and looked at Cal. "Do you want to keep the vial or want to hand it over to me?"

Andy was doing her best to keep her leg from shaking. She was holding her coffee between her knees so she could pick at the muffin. Andy tried to resist a grin when the man behind her cracked a joke about drinking games. Then he kicked the back of her chair. She looked back, irritated at him. At least her coffee hadn't been spilled, and the guy apologized. So, though annoyed by it, Andy let it drop. She didn't think punching some random dude would go over well, especially with the tension in the room. And if he wasn't a mutant, at least it seemed he sympathized, and had good humor. So she stopped the glare, gave a shrug, and turned back to her coffee and muffin.

Andy divided her attention between her muffin, the increasingly uncomfortable lecture, and the conversation behind her. The conference moved to M-Pox. The mysterious disease that she had somehow, blissfully avoided catching. She popped a bite of muffin into her mouth, her shoulders tensing as the female doctor brought up the 'magic-cure-all' that would eliminate the x-gene. Extremis might be able to cure all manner of things. It sounded like genocide to her.

If Extremis was put in the water, there would be no way to avoid it. Andy didn't know how much of it would take to take away her powers. Like fluoride in the water, it might not require much.

One of the women from behind her went and cut in line to ask a question of Dr. Watts. She didn't get the science that was being batted back and forth since she hadn't been to school for anything beyond the ninth grade, and everything before that was lacking. Between foster homes and her inability to focus, school had never come easy, nor had she particularly cared for it, especially Northwood, which she had attended two weeks before running away. Andy took a daring sip of her coffee and decided it was cool enough to risk a gulp.

The fire alarm sounded. Andy's stomach twisted fear clawing at the back of her mind, but she was able to control it. There was no fire. The hot coffee reached her stomach and warmed her up. At least the partial muffin meant that her stomach wasn't empty. She looked around, and the nearest exit was the one behind her that she had come in. She gathered her coffee, what was left of her muffin (just the top), and headed for the exit.

The triumphant feeling Rose had died quickly as more fire appeared before her blocking her way. It was replaced by fear. Clawing up her throat and tearing into her mind. She tried to take some slow breaths and keep herself from complete panic. That only made her cough. Rose closed her eyes. It didn't help since she could feel the heat of the flames. Rose didn't see Sierra's phone explode because her eyes had been closed.

Rose opened her eyes back up. She needed a way out of here. Rose noticed that the fire at the station was gone. Not like Bobby had put it out, but like it stopped as suddenly as the fire blocking her way had appeared. "She can only do one spell at a time like that. We can take her." She whispered to Sierra, her back still to Maleficent. "I'm gonna tackle her. You run into the woods, there is a service road not too far away. Get to it. Get back to Bobby."

Rose spun on the ball of her foot and could only hope that Sierra followed her directions. She ran at Maleficent to tackle her and break up her line of sight on Sierra. Instead, her foot slipped on some loose gravel and she fell face-first into the dirt.

"Snicker-snack." Colby said under his breath so that only Matthew could hear him. He half-smiled at Matthew.

Colby was going to cross his arms but realized his hand was being held by Maddie. He didn't want to take his hand back. Instead, he moved his free hand to his hip. He ignored the girl with more hair than brains. Why wouldn't they want to go to a magical place? Who in their right mind would stay here?

Colby listened to Merlin's explanation. It made sense, but he hadn't seen Malifecnt yet so he wasn't certain how true that was. He didn't trust people as a general rule. He looked at the weapons. Colby had never learned anything than schoolyard fighting so he didn't care to grab any of them.

"Okay, so what are we supposed to do when we get to Arcadia? What is expected of us? And when should we expect these others to join us?"

As Niah pushed Dalisy into the open cell, 72-B, Matt spoke with the guards informing them of Dalisy's potential threat level. As far as Niah could tell, Dalisy was still paralyzed. She made a mental note to not get on the wrong end of his power.

"So, what happened to you?" Niah asked. Matt stepped into the room. Dalisy's focus landed on him. Niah sighed. "I don't know if she'll talk to me with you here."

"You shouldn't be alone with her. She can teleport or something, and Strange-" Niah cut Matt off.

"I know what Strange said, and I trust him. He has done more for this world than any of us will ever understand. I also think my sister might have something she wants to say to just me since we haven't seen each other since I was fifteen." Matt frowned, shrugged and stepped outside, but kept a watch from the other side of the mirror.

Matt did look over at Thane and sighed, realizing they had never done anything to protect the man from Terriginesis. "Did you see him cocoon?" Matt asked the guard. He really hoped that since this wasn't the correct Thane, they didn't have to worry about the guy who had been in prison for starting fires by randomly getting powers. At least Strange had put the magical bonds on him, so Matt doubted it would matter. He shook his head, they had messed up big time.

Now that they were alone, Dalisy spoke. "I remember dying. Then I was alive again but in a different world. I have these memories of eight years of training and..." She trailed off. Niah pursed her lips, picking up on the unsaid from her sister. They had been best friends. "Then I was in some other place, and mutants were in charge. I tried calling you. I had your number, and it rang or went to voicemail over and over." This time, Niah winced.

"Sorry, that is my fault. I had to turn over my phone for some people to trust me, and I didn't know when I did turn it over that I wouldn't have a chance to talk to you. I wanted to, but things were just so much of a mess." Niah sighed. "Then what happened?"

"When that ended, I was back in the Dalisy compound. I had to find you. I had to make sure you were okay. I came here, and there was all of this happening, and I had to get you out."

"I'm not a prisoner here. I work here. I want to be here. You hurt people I care about today. You could have killed them." Niah shook her head. "I told you I can't protect you from the consequences of this. I am happy to see you, and maybe I can get a disposition for mom and dad to visit before you're transferred to the Raft. I'm sorry, sister. This is my fault. I shouldn't have meddled, but I saw an opportunity, and I took it." Niah didn't go into details.

When a guard did show up, Matt let him take his place, and he went back to the Hanger to find out the plan.

Mary was frustrated. Zelda had been an ass. Obviously, Mary hadn't meant the Ravenclaw first years. It wasn't Mary's first year at Hogwarts and she wasn't an idiot. God forbid she forget one thing in her life, and ask for help. What was Zelda's damage? This had just reinforced in Mary's mind that Zelda wasn't anyone she wanted to even bother trying to be friends.

Mary had been so frustrated that she even missed part of the sorting, and clapped only cause the kids around her did. Her attention was completely drawn when the DADA professor spoke. Wandless magic! She knew about it in theory. Mary had read it was super-advanced magic. She was impressed that the entire school of Uagadou used it, and was excited to get an opportunity to test her skills at it. She'd have to give it a go with something simple before her first DADA class.

"Oh that is gnarly! I haven't even tried wandless magic yet." She told Apollo. Mary couldn't wait to write home about their new DADA professor. Mary looked at Rowan grinning, "I have a good feeling about this year." She declared. There were just so many exciting things to do this year. The 'special class', the ball, and now a badass DADA professor. "I wonder what cool things she'll teach us. I'm not the best at DADA, but I'm gonna put my best effort in this year. You'll have to extra help me Apollo."

"Of course my old crone of a friend. I shall differ to your greater age and infinite more wisdom." Dalisy gave the best mock bow that she could muster as they hit the ice that Arnora summoned. Dalisy quickly switched between the ore and the longbow. Her first arrow went high as they bounced over some ice. "I'd also prefer it if you kept the boat steady while I tried to save our heads." She said.

This time Dalisy paused and waited for the boat to rise. At its peak, she loosed the arrow and it took out the branches that threatened to remove their heads like the sad group of Einherjar ahead of them. "See that wasn't so hard, even with arthritis." Dalisy cracked a grin at Arnora over her shoulder. "Shall we continue this way. You steering and me defending?" She asked. It was a good division of labor.

Niah laughed at Nancy's joke. "Not quite." She decided to write out the monster's name when they got to the junkyard. She was a little short of breath when they got there. The exercise she was used to was less cardio. Niah pulled her sketchbook out and wrote down Blemmyae, then showed it to Nancy and Madalyne. Knowing there was one near-by had made her extra reluctant to say its name out loud.

With Nancy's recap of the plan, Niah nodded. "I just realized I didn't factor in if getting into Mount Rushmore costs money too." She sighed. Hopefully, the cyclopses here had a good stash of treasure, actual treasure, and not just garbage. Niah looked around, trying to assess what options they had. "Okay, I see eight monsters. It looks like the best way is through the back door. We should distract them. I don't want us to split up, but dividing them is probably our best bet. Mads could use the Mist to distract them, and I'll attack them from behind. Nancy, you sing them deaf or kill them like you did the bikers."
