There were guards, Rose wasn't surprised they hadn't been subtle the last time they had gone this way. Of course, she had reinforced the entrance. But not enough. Already the group had downed most of the guards that had been there. She stayed near Cassi, knocked an arrow, and drew the bow. She did not have any compunctions with killing, at least in the heat of a battle. She might find she had an issue if she had to do it cold.

The first arrow she shot was dodged. She was a good shot, it was very rude of the guard to do that. She shot again. He was not so lucky this time. He fell to the ground, unmoving. She shot a third arrow, this one hitting its target and killing the man. There were some guards still living, but they were probably going to be disfigured from the fight. That was good enough. The thing about war was killing was not always necessary. What mattered was removing the person from battle. And these guards were removed. She glanced at Cassi to make sure she was alright.

"Thanks." He gave Gabriella a thumbs up. Before just decking one of the surviving soldiers in front of him. The guy now had a broken nose. He doubted that'd do much to stop him.

Colby took a half step back and held his hands up with thumbs touching and fingers spread. A thin sheet of flames shoots forth from your outstretched fingertips. The two men were burned but not badly. He tried again. This time, one of them died. The other seemed fine.

Andy knew this was going to happen. That didn't mean she wasn't horrified by it. She shook a little as the gold dust that was her aunt drifted down. She'd not lie now if asked what that was about. There was no point.

She, however, would not allow the murder of her aunt to go unpunished. She sent lightning at the monster that had killed Madalyne. The lightning hit it, and the monster turned to dust. "Good." She mumbled.

"I'll have to contact Nancy and Niah." She said and turned, she kept going. Kept walking. Moving away from the last place her aunt had been. They had to get this stupid sword back to camp. Arthur was right. This was a miserable existence. She had friends and family, but they were always taken away.

Niah frowned. She didn't know what Valhalla was, but from Jason's reaction, it was some other mythological place. They rode along finally arriving at the trailhead. She did not like this place. She missed this coast. California was her home. More than the Philipines even though she had lived there longer.

"Thank you." She told the Taxi driver and got out. Once he was paid and drove off Niah started to lead the way up the mountain. Her stomach twisted a bit. Here they had encountered the werewolves that had doomed one of her best friends. Was Mads already gone? It had been days...or was her fate still in the future? Her mind darted between worries.

"I do not know anything about Valhalla." Niah confessed as they walked. Her sister, in her vision, did not seem to have aged. It was likely then that Valhalla was an afterlife. At least her sister looked happy.

She was alright. She knew him. She hugged him. She called him dad. Tears pricked at his eyes as he hugged his daughter back. He didn't care that she looked like a demon. He was just thankful that she was alright. Thankful that she knew him. That 1 thing almost lifted a weight off of him, but that was slammed right back down when she asked where he had been. He nodded at her whisper. Now wasn't the time for asking questions like 'When was the last time you saw me?'

He looked over at the three new people joining them. He recognized Carolina. He hadn't recognized the child Klara, but once Runa spoke to her he figured it out. This was getting more awkward. Five of the people here he knew personally. Interesting. He waved to Carolina but didn't say anything, just letting her know he knew her. She was older too, older than him by the looks of it.

Entering the throne room and taking it all in Ed knew he would not eat or drink anything given here. He did not trust it. He kept himself between Madalyne and Witchfire.

"I'm sorry for not being there." He said softly to Mads, and from his pocket pulled out the candy bracelet before holding out his hand and offering it to Madalyne.

Andy personally didn't totally care about the contest. She did want to punch Megan more, but that anger had popped like a balloon at being called a villain. Yes, the contest had set them up as that. However, she wasn't a villain. She had helped save the world. She was every day protecting the world from one of its greatest threats...her mother. Andy knew she was one shitty day from becoming a villain. It would be a line she'd walk her whole life.

"You want a villain? I can give you villain." She said angrily and marched over to where the 'hostage' was. One of the girls was trying to grab the hostage but a shield was around it, and by appearances was probably from Mary Sue. The other hit Mary Sue so hard that Andy was surprised the girl was still standing. Andy was a bit tempted to throw a punch at Theda for that, but she could tell that Michaela needed to be dealt with.

Andy punches Michaela, but some strange energy field surrounds her blocking the attack. She frowns considering the situation.

"It'll take all of us throwing an attack at her to stop her." She told the team. But to get all of them to concentrate long enough on Michaela was going to be nearly impossible.

Punchable was a good word. He considered punching Robert too. Ed really didn't give a shit if he had worked with Xavier or not. There probably was a fair amount of people who had at one point or another. It didn't mean the chance of being backstabbed was any lower. Perry had hit the nail on the head. They had been forced here. Of course, they were a bit touchy after that.

If Mary was claustrophobic this was the first time Ed had thought that was possible. She had been in space before. Sure their situation was really dire at the moment. But they had been in many very dire situations.

"Mary, take a deep breath. We can figure it out." He said gently. Her fire was getting under control at least—stupid space chicken. "I have an idea, but it'll be messy. I can protect us with a shield and you can turn that water into steam." If his shield failed...If...if if. All those didn't really matter. They were stuck.

He wrapped the group, minus Mary, into a bubble. He made sure it was heatproof and would keep oxygen in. It had to be. If oxygen left the bubble it'd get cooked with the water, and if it weren't heatproof they'd be steamed. He was satisfied with the bubble of orange light that surrounded the group. He nodded at Mary and released the shield he had on the door. The rest was up to her.

Ed was pulling at his magic again, preparing to kill more of these demons. He wondered if demons counted in the family laws. He felt like they shouldn't. The laws tended to mean humans (or other mutants). He did not have any holy magic so he had not thought he would be able to successfully defeat more than a few of these at a time. If Max was able to do that there was a chance he could too. He had been taught Latin growing up, so he spoke it well. Some of the family's old texts were only in Latin. However, a horn sounded and the attack stopped. It was a bit disconcerting to have a battle such as this end so suddenly.

"Remind me later, and I'll help you with your Latin." Ed said to Max, not even realizing he had said it. A small hint at the friendship that had or would form between the 2 of them.

Ed reached into his pocket and found the small candy bracelet. He wondered if it would fit Mads' wrist now; it probably would be too small. Runa had released Mads so now he turned to her. Sure, they had to head in for tea time (the absurdity of that aside), but first, he wanted to speak to his stepdaughter. He honestly didn't know how much longer he would live. With the battle over the fear of death diminished some, but he knew it was coming.

"Madalyne, are you alright?" He asked, Runa's magic had hurt her somehow (and the others, but for some reason not him). He wanted to hug her. Did she know who he was?

Andy's head had cleared a bit. The seething anger and hatred had stopped boiling inside her a bit. Gideon had asked for her help, but there were people over by their hostage. She was torn, but that hatred boiled up again. What was it about Megan?

Ignoring the situation with the hostage, or rather forgetting about the problem. Andy tries to punch Megan again. This time she is pushed back, her punch missing too. Infuriated Andy steps in closer and kicks with all her might into Megan's stomach letting off a blast of electricity at the same time.
If attacked Andy would like to use the attack against the attacker and try for a touch and electrical blast.

Ed froze when the Indigenous woman called out a name. His eyes went to the only unknown person on the field that wasn't a fiend. The face was familiar. The name was familiar. That was his (step-) daughter. He touched his pocket where a candy bracelet sat. It had only been a few hours for him, she was almost 3 for him. But here she was, a fully grown adult.

"Mads." He whispered. She would not be hurt. Not here. Not under his watch. Something was going on with the others. Ed wasn't certain, but it was time for him to do something. He flicked his right hand and then his left hand in quick succession. Those who had worked with him before would recognize the movement. His force blasts. Normally these were blasts that could knock an opponent back, or a projectile from the air. However, this time the orange light was thin. Almost invisible and it cut through a swath of the demons. Each wrist flick had killed five of the fiends. It was not enough.

Ed ran forward stopping next to Madalyne. Something was wrong with her. If the newcomer woman was right, she was under some sort of control (other than Prudence's), and Ed figured she would. The sweet child he knew...she wouldn't attack like this. He slowly reached out to touch her shoulder. Theoretically, he could have healed her from a distance, with the bracelet. It was hers, it would have her DNA on it, but from here he could protect her better.

Ed watched the camera feed a bit. The newcomer seemed a bit frazzled to him. At least he wasn't acting aggressive. Mary asked the same question he was wondering. Though the man wasn't actively aggressive, he was nervous about them.

Then there was water coming under the door. Ed sighed and tried to put up a shield to stop water from coming under the door. There was still some water seeping through some cracks. He reinforced his shield. If this guy was an architect on the ship he might be able to help them find a way out. They still needed to meet up with the others. But at least at the moment, they weren't dead. And Ed hadn't missed that Magneto had taken off his helmet. Maybe the guy had turned over a new leaf? Is that who Max had meant when he said they had run into someone who was acting nice? That seemed likely since Max was with Lance...and Lance wasn't putting weight on his legs. That probably meant he was really the one who had broken his legs.

"And if you aren't thinking of how to kill us when we aren't looking, maybe you can help us meet back up with our friends and get off this rock. Uh...No offense to your design, but we don't really want to be here." He asked and tapped the vial with Lance's name on it.

He watched the video and could see the orange glow of his magic wrap around Lance's legs. He wasn't certain how much better that was for Lance, but hopefully, he'd be able to stand now.

Rose smirked at Layla and when Cassie kissed her she sunk into the kiss. Savoring it. She didn't want it to end. But it did, as all good things do. She rested her forehead on Cassie's. "That's a date then." She smiled. Pulling back from the embrace. The public show of affection didn't bother her.

She rocked back on her heels, let out a sigh, and then nodded. Ready. She followed Cassie through the portal and back the way they had come before. Hopefully, their secret entrance was still unguarded. Rose doubted it though. They had left the same way and had not left subtlety.

Colby awkwardly reached back and hugged Maddie. Then he turned around so he could hug him properly. "I will. The same goes for you. And make sure they don't do anything stupid with that lamp." No consensus had been made or even attempted to devise the exact phrasing of how to get the genie to help. Colby didn't trust that. Hopefully, it was the Robin Williams type of Genie, not something more sinister. At least Merlin seemed to think it was since he had mentioned to free the Genie with the wish.

"I've got a great plan too." Colby grinned. He was going to teleport around the field and send blasts of fire at the enemy. He couldn't be pinned down if he did that. It wouldn't be easy. And Colby had a feeling he'd wear out quickly doing both. But if he was smart about it he could have swaths of the enemy taken out and a huge amount of distraction accomplished. And the enemy might think there was more than one mage on their side. That would hopefully be a morale destroyer. And if you destroy the morale of the enemy that's half the fight.

Colby released Maddie from the hug and headed for the portal. "See ya after the fight okay." He smiled his lopsided grin and hurried through joining the distraction team. Colby shook his head. Didn't they know catapults were for attacking a castle not defending it? All well those would make for good targets for his fireballs.

He summoned a fireball hitting one of the catapults, but it didn't even catch fire. That was annoying. He tried to hit it again but missed this time. Next, Colby did the next step in his plan and cast the teleport spell on himself. Transporting himself from one end of the field to the other, staying on their side of the battlefield, but now in a different location.
