I wonder what future Animes I should watch, been stuck in an Isekai slump right now. No idea what else I want to watch besides Tensura and Shield Hero once that comes out.

Communicatrice of Scathach, former Captain of the 1ère Régiment de Hussards Parachutistes, and currently climbing a cold mountain just to fulfill my Deity's wishes I guess. What about you two?"
Known as the Kami of Fertility, Foxes, Prosperity, Rice and Sake. Inari is commonly seen as a Fox creature commonly guarding the many shrines of Shinto Temples all across Japan. A generally popular figure due to the Kami's multiple aspects. Inari Okami is a very flexible deity, it's many aspects allow it to be a part of practically all important sectors of Japanese life. Originally shrined at Inari Mountain, nowadays, as long as you can see Fox Statues in the many, many shinto shrines and Temples across Japan, you are in the presence of a temple/shrine dedicated for Inari Okami.
Commonly depicted as a female, there are also several depictions of the Kami as a man.

A lithe woman. Akane generally does light workouts to keep her body in shape. She is thin, with not a lot of muscle mass all throughout her body, still, she can do most chores around the house should it be necessary. Generally regarded a 'beautiful' in terms of Japanese beauty standards. Akane has the perfect combination of thinness and curviness that makes her the target of quite a lot of love letters during her highschool days.
She has long black hair, easily flowing down her shoulders, the most noticeable part of it all though, is the cut of her bangs. Seemingly making a part of her hair edge out, a subtle, yet noticeable stylistic detail she has decidedly chosen.
Perhaps it is because of her Japanese upbringing, but she generally chooses 'conservative' yet clearly rebellious clothes. Conservative in the sense that it covers her body, but rebellious in the subtle details. The length of her skirt, the colours of her clothes, the various accessories she puts in her hair, even the occasional earring that glistens out whenever she flips her hair. A way to simultaneously conform, yet rebel at the same time.

Akane acts prim and proper at all times. An expectation considering her family name and the impact her family has on the trajectory of Japan. Nonetheless, within her circle of friends and family, the woman generally devolves into something much more energetic, not one to conform to borderline aristocratic norms within Japanese high society. Whenever she hangs out with her friends, whether that be enjoying some coffee or eating out, or vacationing with her family, a much more relaxed, carefree Akane comes out.
For the outside person though, seeing such a change is usually a luxury they do not have. Her actions all the time is calculated to be the most polite and least expressive, she is not one to show her more 'wild' side so liberally. For she knows the ramifications of such carelessness can do to her family back home.

Since the day of her birth, Akane has never felt poverty. Her full name, Akane Mitsui, is already a signal to everyone that she is effectively the daughter of Japan's modern Aristocracy. The Mitsui Family.
Historically speaking, the Mitsuis are titans of industry, a family that owns and runs the Mitsui Zaibatsu, one of the largest corporate groups in Japan. Their business includes Automobile Manufacturing, Electronics, Industrial Chemicals and Financial Services. One of the Big 'Four' including Sumitomo, Yasuda, and Mitsubishi. These four massive Conglomerates control all major aspects of Japanese industry, up until Japan's defeat in the hands of the allied forces.
With Japan's defeat, the powerful families were forced to retire their holdings and were left as private, if admittedly incredibly rich citizens of the postwar Japanese state. And the Mitsuis were no exception. Akane grew up in Azabu. Possibly the richest neighborhood in all of Tokyo, her entire childhood life were as ideal as it can be, and, unlike the stereotype of rich kids. She doesn't grow up to be a spoiled brat, perhaps it is because of her family's history of and how much effort it still took for them to maintain their wealth, and it is perhaps because she sees just how hard working her own two parents are. But she studied hard in school, garnering good grades and with the help of private tutors, fully mastering English during her grade school days. Not a common achievement for the typical Japanese student.
It was then that her first lesson in life was taught, during her first years in Middle School, when hormones are raging throughout her body and she struggles to deal with the ever increasing complexity of life. That her parents gave her talks that would change her life. Her parents taught her to not take everything too seriously, life is an ever-flowing river, and if the streams change, one should adapt oneself to it. Letting things go sometimes to rest is an important aspect, and one that her mother has to constantly remind her father whenever he comes back to work. Akane took the lesson to heart, and her first years in Middle School were the years when she made some of her first lifelong friends.
The second lesson she was taught was when she just graduated High school. She applied to numerous prestigious Universities in Japan, the University of Tokyo was an obvious one, Kyushu University was another, Kyoto U, Keio, and Waseda were all applied to. And yet, bizarrely enough, she was rejected from all of them. Only her craziest and most out there option, her application to William & Mary, a college even her parents didn't know existed, was accepted. Seeing no other option, she packed her bags and headed for America to get her degree in Commerce. It was then that Akane learned that the world has more opportunities than she could've realized. Studying at William and Mary and Networking with the business communities there exposed her to cultures that she didn't know in depth, she met people originating from Indonesia, Iran, Canada, Brazil, China, even that weird Guy from Poland. The meeting of various cultures during her time there imprinted something important to her, a perspective she couldn't have gotten from studying in even Elite Japanese Universities.
In a sense, a real eye for business, a thorough comprehension of various cultures around the world, and an understanding of how good businesses should be run. In short, she has the makings of a good businesswoman should she start her own company.
She also learned to downsize her order of food whenever she visits an American Restaurant, not as well known, but still important if she wants to keep her weight in check.
She returned back to Japan with her Bachelors Degree on Commerce, much to the elation of her parents. And it was then that, during her many nights sleeping. That she was visited by a Fox like apparition. It has a female voice, and it offers Akane a further sharpening of her skills, promising to give 'All knowledge in the world of commerce to you', and the only price? Become her Communicator.
She asks if being a Communicator is akin to signing a contract with the devil, a twisted agreement in which she is the one left holding the short end of the stick, the apparition said no, she asked if being a Communictor means that she has to forego her old life completely, the Fox Spirit also said no, but there will be some changes. Most notably in her travels.
She accepted, and the Fox Spirit smiled, 'Meet me at the top of Inari Shrine, take the Shinkansen the next thing tomorrow.' She left her parents later in the morning, telling them that she has 'some stuff to do in Kyoto, it concerns my College Friends.' And surprisingly enough her parents agreed.
She went to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, and after offering her money, and doing the typical Shinto Rituals associated with it. She sees a Woman, clearly Japanese, but with unusual White Hair and Red Stripes all over her body. The woman smiled at her, and passed through her body. Akane felt a surge of power, feeling her strength multiply many fold. She returned back to her Family's house after that. Not wanting to see what kind of other supernatural powers might take an interest in her.
3 months have passed, and the Fox Spirit has instructed her to go to New Hampshire, to climb a mountain and meet her there. She then declared to her parents that she wanted to spend a year to 'discover myself', with the added caveat that she will go to America during that period. Considering that she's a Mitsui, and that Mitsuis aren't really known to be tight on cash. Her parents accepted.
Akane is probably going to be tied down to her well paid job/ business in the future anyway, her parents reasoned. What's the harm in letting her discover the wide world when she is young?
[ Reason of Choice ] It may not look like it. But her education and her networking, as well as her Familial Status in Japan makes her a Prime Candidate for a person that can generate a lot of money and wealth. Her morals and upstanding personality also intrigued Inari, a well connected woman that can generate a lot of prosperity (read: money) while also not being an asshole (really important considering Japan's history) is a Slam Dunk for all Inari is concerned.
[ POWERS ]
[ RELICS / FAMILIARS ] A Jade Magatama: An ancient Japanese Jewel made out of Jade. Akane got it after she slept through her first night of becoming a Communicator. The jewel, upon activation, is able to form a protective bubble around Akane, a golden coloured bulb that is impervious to any form of attack.
A Naginata: Said to have been from one of Inari's previous Communicators. A package from an unknown sender gave the Naginata to her family's house. Initially confused but nonetheless keeping it well stored, Akane is able to summon the Naginata at will, appearing as if it was teleported to her hand. She is able to wield it as if she has been training with the weapon for years.
A Fox: A White Furred Fox that always accompanies her whenever she goes, seemingly able to accompany her throughout all places, when she took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo, the White Fox was there, when she's about to board the plane, the Fox was staring from the Terminal. And when she landed in America, the Fox was there to greet her at the Taxi Stand. The Fox will defend Akane if she is in danger, it is unknown as to how powerful this Fox is.
[ POWERS ] Long Claws: She is still trying to master it, but Akane can lengthen her nails to such a point that it becomes claws. When the nails are lengthened. It is hardened to be near indestructible and she is able to slice through almost anything she wishes.
Fox Like biology: If her human senses aren't enough. Akane can also make 2 parts of her senses to be as sensitive as Foxes, whether it be her eyesight, her hearing, her sense of smell, touch or taste. It can, theoretically speaking. Be expanded to all the 5 senses, but Akane isn't able to fully 'Foxify' herself so to say.
Fox Fire: A Blue Fire Orb that Akane can summon, it generally floats right besides her, she can throw it and cause a huge explosion, or it can be simply used as Illumination. A generally versatile spell that can be used for all circumstances.
[ INVOCATION ] Summoning Inari is a bit complicated than most. Akane has to throw a coin to the ground, and clap twice before praying. Should it be successful though...
Her signature Fox Ears doesn't show up, Akane's form is not powerful enough yet to do that. But the Fox Mask and the Miko outfit is more than enough of an indication that Inari is here.
[ OTHER INTERESTS/SKILLS ] American Food: Perhaps it's because of her time spent in America, but Akane has grown to love all types of American Food. Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict, Alder Plank Salmon, a Good Burger, Fish and Chicken Tacos. She loves them all, in many ways seeing her love of both American and Japanese food is a contradiction, but it doesn't bother her in the slightest.
Research into Business Subjects: Of course, being an Academically trained student in a Business Degree. She has to do her fair share of research. Whether it concerns Accounting, Business Leadership, or just listening into a 2 hour youtube video of various Businessmen talking strategy. She likes finding new ways and opportunities to make money.
Philanthropism and Political Advocacy: She's Japanese, she's a Mitsui, she's incredibly well educated, and she knows how her family's complicit in furthering the suffering of various peoples in Asia during Japan's conquest. It isn't surprising that she also loves discussing Politics and has an interest in Philanthropy as well. An ardent supporter of Japan apologizing for it's warcrimes and dismantling the Yasukuni Shrine to ensure that the apology isn't hollow. She's not a big fan of any Right Wing Japanese groups in general.

@Kumbaris that's fair. I don't know much about the citizenship laws of Indonesia but this is an Australian who would have been living in Indonesia for about 5 years before the war started. He came to Indonesia for college (med school so I figured that by that time he would be a citizen in the country.
If it is an issue for the setting I can easily change that asoect of my character.
He can be an Indonesian citizen, but you would need to go into depth and research about Indonesian Social Norms and Mannerisms. Not the hardest thing in the world tho.
You can still maintain an Australian nationality also, but probably make him more 'native' since he's spent decades in the country.
Name: Aari Campbell Gender: Non-binary, but begrudgingly accepts masculine pronouns. Background: Aari was a young man when he moved to Indonesia for to enroll in one of the many medical schools there. At the time time, 2053, Indonesia was a rich, powerful country and he enjoyed his days exploring the city, meeting other students, and studying what he felt was his calling. In 2065 the war occurred and Aari, a surgical nurse, was transferred to a military base to treat soldiers. These following years took a toll on Aari's young mind as he encountered violence, gore, and worse. In those years Aari hit lows, and drugs became a solace, mostly stolen prescription pills and cocaine. When Aari was relieved of duty he did not continue his contract with the military, but it hardly mattered. Two years later the war would end, and his addiction to drugs grew. As his life slipped into a cycle of debauchery and hedonism, his focus on work and school slipped. Eventually, he would lose his license to work when a fellow nurse caught him stealing pills.
Aari's drug debt piled up quickly and after a violent shootout, the Cobras came for him. They beat him senselessly and narrowly he avoided a gruesome death when he convinced them he could be of use. Aari now takes care of the wounded criminals and mobsters the Cobras employ. Bound by his debts, his fears, and his desires, he remains loyal to the Cobras and he been a major asset to the leaders. He keeps their men healthy and alive, installs cybernetics, and has been teaching others to do the same.
What is Aari's nationality? Just wondering. It's kinda weird having an American named person serve as a Medic in the Indonesian Army. You might wanna expand on that if he's not Indonesian (and explain how he became an Indonesian if he is)
Oh god. This feels like hell. I now know why that Red Haired woman wanted me to train with her every 3 days in that blasted gym. Pole Vaulting, Close Combat Fighting and all that stuff. This climb feels incredibly treacherous even with the powers gifted to me. I don't even want to think about what happens if I climb without my gifted powers.
"Ah, c'est la merde. J'arrive à Boston et puis je besoin montée la montagne?" I complained to myself. "The TSA is bad enough, why can't I spend my first days here discovering Boston huh? At least experience some of the American culture for myself."
"Oh c'mon, you've been to Mali and Afghanistan, can you really complain about all this cold?" A Red Haired woman said, floating just right besides me as I slowly climb the mountain. "I'm know that you've been contemplating climbing Mont Blanc for a while now, just interpret this as a test run before the actual event.
"Seriously?" I asked. "I was working in my café before suddenly you came here and asked me to come to America. No explanations, no nothing, and you're really insistent about it. 'Bah oui' I said, flying all the way from my town to Boston, and then I have to take an Autobus from Boston to some Small Town, before finally we're here. Just what are you hiding from me Scathach?"
"Wait. Someone's here, you know what to do."
I quickly nodded and activated my powers, completely making me invisible, my footsteps already gave it away, but should a would be attacker noticed it, I can pounce on them and make short work should I need to. There is a commotion nearby, a fight of sorts. "Hmmm, qu'est-ce que c'est..." I muttered, peering from a rock outcropping that I've hid myself into."
There is a bird like creature attacking some girl, before some other woman attacked it with a bow and seemed to kill it. "Other Communicators perhaps?"
"Oh... is that, seems like it, a Communicator of Abnoba and Ryujin by the looks of it. Don't worry, I don't think they'll attack you, definitely not Abnoba's Communicator. Just depower and say hello." The woman said, sitting on top of the rock outcropping, motioning me to reveal myself.
Depowering my invisibility, I walked out of the rock outcropping, waving my hands to the two women that seemed to dispatch the monster. "Bonjour, vous êtes une Communicatrice non?"
"Not in French! They're not French!!" The figure accompanying me screamed, shaking her head.
I am still very much interested. Am I still able to be in the roleplay if I do no orcs or vampires and stay real and is my character accepted? I am eager to be guided. And I have not any real life friends who are on here who would be eager like me sadly I am afraid, sorry.

Hey, so myself and another Co-GM are making an RP with a unique setting, it's Cyberpunk, set in a city not really super famous, and with a pretty deep lore to back it up. All of it's pretty original setting wise, and admittedly, we are kinda new into this RP business in this forum, so we're not really sure if this suits anyone's interests, but we have an RP thread already.
Combat will be simple, a simple D20 with modifiers depending on your Cybernetic/Genetic modifications, also with negative modifiers if you get hit or critically injured, obstacles and other stuff like walls will also modify the D20.
Anyone interested?

[ MYTHOLOGY OF (YOUR GOD) ] Scathach is a mystery, technically a goddess and a major figure in the Ulster Cycle, her most notable achivement revolves around teaching Cú Chulainn and giving him the Gae Bolg, the infamous spear that he wields. A shadowy figure in Celtic Mythology and not the most well known deity in the Celtic Pantheon, her lack of recognition is more than compensated by the fact that her skills in magic spells and combat are legendary, communicators of Scathach are generally regarded as Great Assassins throughout history, although some are warriors, as is the case with this current communicator and Cu Chulainn

[ PHYSIQUE ] As a former Soldier of the French Hussards. Marinette is built like a Soldier, muscular, well rounded, not necessarily the strongest woman in the world, but strong enough to overpower most men in a fight, blue eyes and blonde hair, most men who tried harassing Marinette usually ended up on a trip to the hospital, and the ones that don't usually needed a couple days' rest due to the bruises inflicted by her. She doesn't like showing her strength though, preferring to wear clothes that conceal her physique so that no one notices her muscles underneath.

[ PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION ] Not a woman of many words. Marinette generally likes to keep to herself. Years of serving in the French Army gave her a much more analytical personality, able to assess a situation at hand and devise appropriate solutions to deal with the problem. While this generally works for her favour during her time in Chad or Afghanistan, back in her home city of Aix-en-Provence, it gave her a rather distant personality, if a bit robotic some may dare say. Still, she is a lovable woman if you can crack that initial layer, she loves eating at the various restaurants that dot her hometown, a big fan of long drives across the French countryside, and most of all, interested meeting about new cultures and peoples, part of being a Communicator of Scathach she guesses.

How Marinette became the Communicator of Scathach is a bizarre story by any standard. Being known as the "Shadowy One", Scathach likes to make her methods be seen as mysterious as possible when choosing a Communicator. But, to start off, Marinette was born to relatively loving and well off parents in the City of Aix-en-Provence, a typical city in the South of France. She grew up relatively okay with no significant problems that impacted her wellness, but, when she turned 18. She suddenly garnered a sudden interest in joining the Army, a move that received backlash from her parents, but they nonetheless supported her decision when push came to shove.
She joined the Army, part of the French recon infantry, or the Hussards, she excelled at her job, doing tours in Chad, Mali, Afghanistan and even back home, during Operation Sentinelle. By any other metric a good soldier, she cannot shake the fact that she constantly sees a Red Haired woman watching over her. During one particularly intense Firefight in Afghanistan, she sees the Red Haired woman looking at her, her eyes seemingly interested in seeing what she would do next. Her actions afterwards garnered Marinette several medals for bravery.
When she told her comrades about the event, they only shook it off as hallucinations in the heat of the battle, still, she sees that Red Haired Woman everywhere, watching what she’s doing, she doesn’t seem like a threat, more of an interested observer really.
Once she was discharged, the first figure that she met outside of her parents and closest friends was that woman. She offered her a job of being a ‘Communicator’, and promises ‘A life free of economic hardships for yourself and your family.’ Little did she know, but when she accepted the job, her post soldier life changed drastically. She did a little chanting, and small Celtic rituals, and when she’s done, she felt a sudden surge of power, and the Red Haired woman smiled at her.
‘Good.’ She says, ‘Meet me at the City Gym on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.’
It’s bizarre for anyone looking from the outside, in one sense, she is still the same Marinette. She still loves her parents, she still likes the hobbies that she had when she was a child, and she still maintains contact with her school friends, occasionally hanging out whenever possible. But that encounter with that strange, Red Haired woman also added something. A certain edge nobody thought Marinette was capable of having, sure, she can seem sweet to her loved ones, but she knows multiple ways to kill a person, something that cannot be simply explained by her army training. Only focused training with someone else explains her sudden ability jump.
Still, she lives in her own house now. Has a stable job at a local café, and seems to be reintegrating back to society well enough. Surely there's nothing interesting that will come up in the future for her, right?
[ REASON FOR CHOICE ]
Scathach saw Marinette's incredible potential, not really wanting to limit herself to Scottish girls and boys. She took the leap and took Marinette under her wing. She saw throughout her adolescence how she can hold herself up in a fight, while that's relatively important. What's more important to her is Marinette's ability to handle crises with a calmness only an Assassin possesses, her time training under her and in the army only solidified her belief in her, she doesn't know it, but she has the makings of a powerful assassin. One Scathach is more than happy to lend her power towards.
What is less well known is that, being not as well known as other Celtic figures, she probably has to search for Communicators herself, and probably stumbled unto Marinette by accident.
[ POWERS ]
[ RELICS / FAMILIARS ] A Red Spear: A spear coloured dark red that was given to her by the Red Haired Woman after she was discharged from duty. She stressed that this is not the legendary spear of Gae Bolg, but noted that 'After he was gone, I have to make my own spear, he kinda took away the best weapon from me, so I have to make do with what's available.' Made by a fully metallic material from hilt to shaft. For any other person, it would be an incredibly heavy and unwieldy weapon, but Marinette can lift it just like some bundle of sticks.
An amulet: A weird amulet given to her from the Red Haired Woman, she never uses it, but she told her that it goes to a 'very dark place, where no one outside yourself can escape', Marinette is a bit creeped out by the description, and is not too keen on using the amulet anytime soon.
[ POWERS ]
Invisibility: A must have for a prospective Assassin, Marinette has the ability to completely turn invisible, and from all wavelengths to boot, she can only do this for roughly 30 minutes to an hour. But this ability can theoretically be trained to last for much longer.
Inhuman reaction time: Possessing a reaction time much, much faster than even special forces soldiers. This ability of Marinette allowed her to make quick decisions on the fly, this skill is especially useful in firefights.

Scathach's form completely overrides Marinette's appearance. Her clothing, her hair, even her face and eye colour. Unless you've already seen her transform, it would look like Scathach herself has descended into the battlefield.
Marinette would need intense medical treatment once Scathach has deemed Marinette is no longer in immediate danger. Such is the risk of invoking your deity.
[ OTHER INTERESTS/SKILLS ] Anime and Manga: She is an avid Anime and Manga lover. Currently in what is called a 'rabbit-hole', she is highly interested in buying books and watching anime that interests her, with the Nasuverse Franchise being a current favourite.
Shooting: A natural outcrop from her being a soldier. She loves shooting guns and discovering new weapons that interest her. Although not too keen on buying guns herself, she is highly interested in trying out any gun that might fancy her.
Mythology: Perhaps it is due to her status as a communicator, but she consumes any form of media concerning mythology. Possessing an almost academic interest on the subject, she has been willing to read 30-50 page dissertations on the origins of various deities and legendary figures such as Zeus, Chu Chulainn, Amaterasu, and of course, Scathach.

[ FAVORITES / LEAST FAVORITES ] She stumbled on the anime series Fate/Stay Night during her vacation on Paris right after her discharge, and has fallen down the rabbit hole of collecting anything Nasuverse related. This includes figurines of Scathach.
She watches anime on the regular now, though she doesn't necessarily like other forms of Japanese popular entertainment.
Strangely enough, she's not a big fan of Short Ranged weapons, swords and shields and the like. Not something that interests her in particular, despite the fact that she is proficient with that red spear of hers.
She also doesn't like Pole-Vaulting, definitely a dislike that can be attributed to Scathach.

[ MUSIC/MOVIE/BOOK/GAME TYPE ] She loves the Nasuverse series of Anime and Manga. Much to the confusion and stress of her patron deity. She also loves watching any well made French movies, something that fortunately corresponds with her French identity.
Her preference of songs is all over the place, she likes French and European EDM, Classical, and any American music that suits her tastes.
