Actually, that brings a thought to mind, @Red Wizard: how old is Ryu? She's a proper dragon's dragon and seems profoundly unimpressed with the whole multiple century fox thing, so I'm curious now lmao

Well fine, if Miyuki won't let Velvet hug Yumeiko, then Velvet will just hug HER INSTEAD.

Fun Velvet fact! She actually had two children as a human! Only her youngest child was killed by vampire as described, her first child died during infancy (lest we forget, early 1300s.

I feel like the resident polyglottal world-traveling vampire menace has probably encountered dragonic once or twice. She's not going to speak it very clearly, but I think she'll understand it at strictly a beginner level.
...Would be kinda fun if she asked Qaymu to teach her. She's big on languages.
