Pierre Allan Berry
"So, what is this? Some 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' type of shit?"

- In class, he's got to have something in his hands, otherwise he'll get distracted. More times than not, he's flipping a pencil between his fingers.
- He's always blasting music through headphones when he's working out or putting up shots alone. Helps him get in "the zone."
- Has a very southern accent that comes out more times than not. Not out of the realm of possibility for him to refer to someone as "Bruh," "Shawty," or "Mane."
- Not particularly a heavy cusser, but places a hard emphasis on his cuss words when being funny or when angry.
- Gets stage fright like no one's business. Can dominate in a basketball since he doesn't have to speak, but ask him to sing a song (because he actually can carry a tune) and he's like "What you mean? I can't do that. Stop playing."
- Messes with chin/beard when he's thinking.
- Code switches depending on the environment.
| | D R E A M S | |Pierre's dream is like any kid growing up in the inner city, only exposed to the false reality that the best way to get out of his circumstances is to be good at a sport. According to Pierre, he was too skinny to play football growing up, so he picked up a basketball and the rest was history. He's good at it and has received national recognition (it helps that his father is an NBA legend), so the biggest goal would be for him to make it to the league. With his father's huge shadow looming over him now though, he's considering all other options. The league is still the primary goal in his life, but his inner battle with following his father's path is causing him to consider other options. He just needs to figure out what exactly he likes outside of basketball since that's all he truly knows.
| | L I K E S | |- Watching basketball and football. The former more so than the latter.
- Playing video games. Is an avid gamer in his downtown since he's uber competitive.
- The weather in California.
- Dogs. Has one back at home in Georgia and his father has a few here in the city.
- His teammates, even though they're different from the one's he was used to back in his hometown. Pierre's all about building camaraderie with his teammates.
- The attention he receives. Athlete's have egos and it's certainly stroked now, whether he'll admit or not.
- A nice butt on a girl. He's a simple guy.
- Gatorade, specifically Fierce Grape. Give him that and you're forever on his good side.
- Playing games away from BHHS. Nothing like going against a team in a hostile environment. Home games are cool, but away games are far more interesting.
- His siblings. He's got two younger half-sisters whose lives he's happy to be part of now.
| | D I S L I K E S | |- Anything science related. He doesn't like Chemistry and he doesn't even like going to the doctor.
- Stuck-up people. They're more prevalent in Beverly Hills, definitely.
- Clingy girls. Look, he knows he's the son of a Hall of Fame player and is one of the top ranked players in high school, but he's not trying to be your meal ticket.
- Living with his father (hell, his father in general). He's really only tolerating him because of his mother and his sisters. But he's not here to play "father-son reunion special."
- Food that is presented as cold but has an alternative to be warm/hot. Don't ask, just warm up his pizza.
- Being referred to as a 'King,' his father's surname. The nickname 'Prince' has floated around on social media, but he hates that as well.
| | F E A R S | |His biggest fear is that he won't be able to find his niche within Beverly Hills High School. He came over towards the end of his second semester of his sophomore year, so he still doesn't have a complete grasp on the ins and outs of the city or the school beyond the basketball court. Fitting in with the team is simple because it's basketball (and he has the respect of the coaches and players), but finding sincere friends that aren't trying to use him or only see him as "cool" because of his father is difficult. He doesn't want fake ass friends because he feels that he has enough fake people in his life, dealing with his father who somehow is using his arrival to Beverly Hills as a way to prove that he's father of the year material.

| | H I S T O R Y | |"It's always been me and my mama, ever since I could remember. I mean, yeah, I had other family members around growing up. My two aunties and their uncles... grandma when she was around. But as far as our household? Straight up, it's always been me and Mama.
It's funny 'cause... I ain't really know what it was like to have two parents in the household at the same time. Shit, that's the story for most of the people my age that grew up with me in Atlanta. It was the norm, oddly enough. You get used to not having a father with you so you just gotta grow up fast before the city gets you. The father figures were older guys in our 'hood, for better or for worse. Gang members, drug dealers, athletes... pick your poison and that's prolly what you'll have to deal with. I was fortunate enough to have a mama who worked her ass off with multiple jobs to keep the lights on. She won't admit, but she was too damn stubborn to let anyone else help her... me included.
I knew that there were jobs that I could get by the time I turned 14. A little grocery store down the street was hiring kids as soon as they got to high school... but my mama wanted to me just keep playing ball... so that's what I did.
She ain't tell me that I was the son of fucking Perry King. The Perry King... the basketball Hall of Famer who brought even more titles to the city of Los Angeles. The dude who is renowned as one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game. The guy who apparently can't reach out to his fucking son to let him know that he's his father. Shit is crazy! But no... apparently my mother kept the secret from because... well, I don't even know to be honest with ya. I got my own theories that he paid her off but... why the hell would that happen if she's still working two jobs? I don't know... that's part of the reason I practice so hard now... so that she ain't gotta work when I make it to the league. But... this man is out here with a wife, kids... a family! And he ain't did nothing for me! Nothing for us!? What type of shit is that?
Mama must have known that I had so many questions because after the basketball season of my sophomore year, she wanted to move out to Beverly Hills to stay with him until I graduate. She figured that the exposure would be good for my dream (our dream because she's part of this) and I could start a relationship with my him, my sisters, and his wife. I wasn't buying that shit at all... but I ain't a dummy, you feel me? Call me a user or a manipulator but if getting to the league means I gotta go through my old man, then so be it. Once I get past these next few years... I'm on my own and I gotta worry about anybody holding me back.
I'll tell you one thing: this Beverly Hills shit is a culture shock... that's what they called in my Sociology class. I'm from a small ass neighborhood in Atlanta where there ain't much to do unless you drive 30 minutes into the city. Beverly Hills... there's celebrities everywhere. And being at BHHS... mane, you would think that these kids never seen real trouble before! I mean... it's cool, I've met some dope ass people, but I still can't get used to all of this drama that comes with being the son of a mogul. I told my mama this, but this really is some Fresh Prince of Bel-Air shit except my dad ain't no where near Uncle Phil. He ain't want me for damn near 15... 16 years and now all of a sudden, I gotta act like I'm his long lost son... on top of everybody wanting to be my friend and trying to get a scholarship to a good D-1 program. It's a lot of pressure.
Fortunately, I thrive under pressure."
