Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Worth.

Say don't suppose Vola knows how to make a fire? Otherwise don't think this cat-snake is worth bringing back, but we can eat it!

Just as he suspects, the vine was actually a snake! Pretty sure he's heard of the older orcs talk about these things, dangerous even for an experienced hunter. However their advantage came with surprise, and Gren had the foresight to get the first strike! Granted it wasn't the best hack since the thing was able to dodge his blow, but just as well Gren was ready for it's counter attack and put some distance from the tree when it tries to spit poison at him. Gren didn't want to risk getting burnt if it's bile was more acidic than venomous, so Gren focused his attention on dodging it entirely. He wasn't really sure what Vola was doing but presumably she was helping.

"Get the axe and get ready to chop it!"

It was a good thing this tree was short, Gren could easily reach the thing and try to go for another blow against it. However he was also aware that trying to climb a tree while holding onto the somewhat unwieldy stone axe would put him in a precarious position against an animal specifically evolved to climb trees with ease. So Gren dropped the axe for Vola to grab as he goes empty-handed to climb the tree and try to grapple the snake. Memories of a past life began to flash before his eyes: while he's never had to grapple a snake before, he knew enough about the general tactic of what he was about to do next.

Once he climbed the tree close enough to grab the snake, Gren makes sure to hold his hand out towards it, fingers tight together so it couldn't try to wrap it's teeth around an exposed digit. He would try to reach behind it and pull it out, throwing his full body weight off the tree to force it to the ground. Ideally head first, because Gren was going to bash it's head against the ground like he's done to so many people before.

"Hold a moment, when did I do this? I ain't never fought no one before..." Gren thinks to himself as he still would attempt to slam the snake's head into the ground as hard as he can, subconsciously activating his Breakthrough ability to ensure the most amount of damage he can against this wily beast. He hopes he kills it with this attack, if they bring this back without wrecking it too badly, surely the boss would be happy! Assuming they survive of course.
I swear I'll get a post up at some point this week, been busy and finding time to crank out a big battle post for us takes a hot while.

"A stretcher? Wuzzthat? You mean one of thems thing that the hunters would sometimes put animals on when they kill em? Yeah that makes sense, better than dragging em all through the forest and stuff. Could damage the skin and meat. I'll keep an eye out fer stuff like that. Anyways you seem ta know what you're doin, so I'll just follow you."

Thanks to Vola's better survival skills, she seemed to be able to find north way better than Gren could. Sure he found moss on a tree, but the moss was going all around the tree, so he had no idea which way was north just by moss presence alone. Maybe if he finds freshly grown moss he'll be able to tell which way is north, but most of the trees he found had moss growing all around them or none at all. But while he was looking for moss on trees, and trees in general, he found a nice tree that he could try and cut down. And even better, it had some vines and such on it!

Of course Gren wasn't so cocky that he would just go up to the tree and start grabbing at it. It could be poison ivy, or a coiled snake. And so Gren looks to Vola and motions for the axe. "Hey Vola, lemme use tha axe for a bit. I see a tree that'll make a good spear, and some vines, but in case it's a snake I wanna chop it first." Once the axe was obtained, Gren would hack into the vine, trying to harvest some for the sake of having something he could use to make into some rope. Since he didn't really know how to harvest tree sap for glue and duct tape probably doesn't exist, he would need to rely on more conventional means to keep stuff together. Like rope.

Assuming that the vine doesn't bite him, Gren would also work on trying to harvest a large branch. While he ideally could make some throwing spears, he and Vola would need a weapon. He felt confident that he could handle the axe if he really needs to, so Vola is going to need a weapon. Unless they can find a nice rock they could make another stone axe out of, the next best thing would be a spear. With some extra rope they could make a nice stone-tipped spear along enough for Vola to stab stuff from a safe distance, or failing that they could just sharpen a long branch into a wooden spear. It'll probably be just as effective.

They'd need the extra weapon if they would be going into those caves. Who knows what sort of monsters are in there. Though they'd also need something that could be used to dig up those ores too. Probably some sort of stone pick, since they'd be breaking rocks instead of digging through dirt, probably. Maybe they could use the axe? How does one identify what metal ores look like compared to normal rocks anyways? Rocks were rocks to him.... Hopefully Vola's got the smarts to identify what's good metal ore and what's just regular stone, or else this whole operation is a bust. Either way, it was time to continue their journey north bound.
However, one tree in particular looked promising. Its main truck was about as big around as an average human’s thigh, but only grew up to around six or seven feet. This trunk put out smaller branches that reached a bit higher, with those at the bottom being thicker than the ones at the top—ranging from the thickness of a finger to a wrist. The fullest branches also held small clusters of round, green, woody-shelled nuts. Gren would be able to climb a tree like this if he wanted to take a smaller, springier branch or just cut one of the thicker, hardier boughs from near its base.

And, was that…What luck! Something green and vine-like wound about the tree’s trunk and branched out onto one of the limbs! Gren couldn’t see where it ended or started, but maybe if he could pull it off the tree he’d have the cordage he wanted?

Dope, I can work with this. I'm going to guess that green thing is actually a snake or something equally freaky, so with @Unkown58 permission Imma take the stone axe and hack off some pieces of the snake vine. If it really is just vine it should be okay and Gren only needs like maybe two or three feet to make some use of it. And if it's a snake hey, breakfast. Assuming Gren isn't suddenly fighting for his life, he'll also try and cut through one of the thicker branches. They can whittle it down into something more manageable while they walk.
@Zeroth

Ayo sweet cheeks, could me and Unknown get a little progress report from you as we wander up towards wherever our destination is? I plan on posting soon and want to meaningfully get something done in my next post,so perhaps some results about our travel to the cave and/or material gathering along the way?

Gren didn't stick around for long when the Orcs were distracted. Oh sure, he listened a little, but as soon as Vola vog the axe and Gren saw the opportunity to do so, he left the trio of orcs before any were none the wiser. A perfect heist if Gren ever saw one, and he's seen many. Somehow. Running out of the camp and towards the forest, he met up with Vola outside. He got to admire the axe up close, in awe of it's simple yet savage appearance.

"Whoa ho ho! We can kill any beastie with that! Hey, why don't you hold onto it for now okay? I wanna use it yeah, but we all need a weapon. Let's head to tha mines to get some more, and maybe hunt something inna cave, but while we walking let's keep an eye out for some vines or grass, rocks, or good sticks. Maybe we can make some spears or something we can use and hunt with. If we can get some good vines or find a nice stringy tree, I can make some rope and we can make a sling so we can kill stuff from far away."

Gren was just full of ideas, adding more and more to his ever growing list of busy work and chores. Even now despite having just entered the forest he was already looking around for those fibers he needs to make some rope. For some reason he vaguely remembers how to make some, perhaps from watching some of the orc women in camp weave cloth from plants using just their hands. He was also looking for useable wood from perhaps an old branch or a young sapling they could harvest to make a suitable spear shaft. While ideally they tip it with stone, Gren figures just sharpening the tip to a point could suffice as well.

"Oh yeah, the cave we should go looking is to the north. You know which way is north right?" Gren looks around for the trees. He vaguely remembers some saying about moss growing towards the north, but he isn't really sure if that's true.but better than wandering off in a random, possibly wrong direction.
Yes please, since once I get inits we will begin combat officially. That's means I need an init from @Norschtalen
@Dark Cloud

We're doing average HP per level (but maxed at first of course). So you should have around 26 HP, 6 from Max first hit die + 6 from toughness (2*3levels) + 8 from average d6 for two levels which is four each + 6 from your con bonus times your level (2*3). So 6+6+6+8=26.

Sorcerer's don't get a lot of HP do Toughness will go a long way to make you a bit hardier than most.
Relatively short posts all around, but battle will begin! Everyone go ahead and post your init in the OOC, and I'll establish a init table. All of these battles are effectively going to be happening at the same time. Additionally since combat has begun, I will be okay with shorter posts containing just your actions, movements, and so forth.

Oh, but if possible please keep track of your own resources, Health, AC, and other such effects in your posts as well. It should look something like this:

HP: 30/30
AC: 16
Status: Bless (+1d4 Attack/Saves), Hidden

I'll trust you all to be fair and keep track of things like spell slots, class stuff, feats, etc on your own.
