You can change your username once every 3 months, and your old username will still link to you and won't be recycled. PM me if you want yours done.

I'd like to squeeze out a basic email notification system. Even a bare bones solution seems worth the squeeze since it helps bring people back to the site and hopefully boost interactions that they might not otherwise see.

I have a basic email verification system working on my laptop. Maybe the version 0 just gives notifications for new PMs and then we go from there.

(Nobody would be required to verify. You just have to if you want notifications.)
Hmm, I see.

What I could also do is just show name changes within the last year and then only list any older name changes to staff (for moderation purposes).

Edit: Done.

Oh, just read your previous post. I wrote the same exact thing as you.
The Discord link at the top of the Guild broke due to changes at Discord.

Something with Discord changed and now my bot doesn't have permission to use the `modifyGuildMember(id, { nick, roles })` command anymore. I couldn't figure out a real fix, but the button should at least redirect you to the Discord server even if it fails.

I'm pretty sure the button correctly adds you to the Discord server the first time around. It's just the using it after that won't correctly update your username.

I'm going to show historical usernames on the user profile. It's necessary for all sorts of reasons (moderation, community).

For example, I had no idea that @nodogs was a Guild legend until I clicked one of your old mentions and it went to your profile.

Edit: Alright, this change is now live.
Not sure if this a big but some users can’t change their usernames in their profile settings. I myself get this message when I scroll down.

I applied a fix but it's kind of annoying to test. Does it work for you now?

There was also a bug where people could keep changing their username over and over again that I hopefully fixed.

A terrible idea just came to mind, Roleplayer Guild having a light mode.

I do like the idea but design stuff is really hard and takes a lot of time and thought. We're stuck with this design for maybe forever.
<Can't change username>

Thanks, I'll take a look.

Are trophies gonna stay, or get scrapped at some point cause it's been a hot minute since I've seen anyone receive one.

I like the idea of trophies or anything sentimental and unique. They are just time consuming to create and award.
I finally hid the Persistent World forum category though the forums/posts are still accessible:

Would be nice to have an archive system so such that dead forums don't clog the homepage but they are still easily viewable. github.com/danneu/guild/issues/206

I also removed all Arena ranking UI since that system is long dead. I have no clue how much anyone cared or didn't care about that system, so I've kept the rank/point data just in case, for now.
Is the option to block/ignore being added in this upgrade?

Please for the love of god update our limited options with posts. Give us more fonts, colors, etc.

<Other feature requests>

Unfortunately, I am mostly working on more foundational issues this round like bugs and system improvements. I'm also trying to remove dead features and bloat.

yeah basically what kuro said. before tables in bios used to have no solid background (ergo the page matched the darker bio background) and now they're the same color background as regular forum posts

Ah, I see where the problem was introduced. I'll fix it shortly.

Edit: Okay, I think I fixed it. Nested tables now inherit the right bg color.

@nodogs Oh, I meant I tagged you so that you could experience the thrill of the bug, again.

But it should be fixed now. Thanks
@nodogs @Kuro Ah thanks. I see what's causing it. brb

I tagged you both so you can experience it again.
