@Exit XD The game's good, just not super good.
@Prints Avoid Yeah, I was totally not super into the gameplay. But the DLC is really cool, kind of reminds me of hoenn/sinnoh stuff.
@Prints Avoid We won't be working with a limited dex, and you don't need any knowledge of the DLC. Btw, you should totes get it, it's really great!

@Ozzoquen Awesome, Ghost type it is.

@Crimson Flame Fairy type it is!

@PrankFox Poison type it is~

I'll personally be doing a Fire Gym Leader, so so far we have Ghost, Fairy, Poison, Fire, Steel, and Psychic reserved.

MENTIONS:

The warm midday sun bore down onto Cloudgate, making its earthy cobblestone roads radiate with a summery glow. Like usual, the large town bustled with energy. Pokemon padded up and down the streets, carrying bags or chatting and laughing among each other. Yew was one of such Pokemon that roamed around the streets and enjoying the warmth that flooded her fur. But, unlike other days when she moved around without purpose or energy, she had a plan for that one fateful afternoon. Today wasn't a day for relaxing or lazing about in a nice patch of sun or trying to sneak berries from vendors. No, today was a day in which she was going to change her life.

A sharp, salty scent reached her nose as she walked to the west of Cloudgate and towards the edge of the cliff that overlooked the ocean. That was where Scorch's guild was, as far as she could remember. There was a certain trot to her step as she held her head high and turned her muzzle to the sky. The salty sea breeze, the warm weather, the cloudless sky... it almost made her forget that the Shade was still out there, and that she had been stuck in Cloudgate for as far as she could remember. Today, though, was her first step towards making a difference.

After passing by a variety of stores and homes, she came across a larger, more ornate building compared to the rest that she had just seen. It looked similar to a sandy-stoned castle, with flags hanging from windows and a wide door at the front. Yew found herself staring at it in awe. Even her own shabby house, no matter how much she loved it, was not as amazing as this one. She carefully approached it, her paws stepping onto the warm stones as if they would crack and collapse underneath of her pawsteps. Damn it. She was never frightened about anything, so why was she so scared now?

There was a slight movement from somewhere in the doorframe. A Pokemon with white and pink fur and bright blue eyes stared at her eagerly. "Hullo!" the Sylveon chimed. "Are you here for orientation? Some Pokemon've arrived already, so come on in!"

"Okay!" Yew grinned as she followed the Sylveon into the large building. It was much cooler in there than out there, and she appreciated the draft in the lobby as she felt her warmed-up fur become much more comfortable. It was so difficult having dark-colored fur, sometimes...

The Sylveon sat in the middle of the room, her pink tail wagging to and fro. It seemed like the Pokemon had a smile permanently plastered upon her muzzle, and her azure eyes were even brighter than before. Yew attempted to return her grin as fiercely as she could before she turned her eyes towards the rest of the room. It was just as decorated as the outside was. There were windows that showed the beach and the ocean beyond, along with a desk at the head of the room. There were also posters put up near the bulletin board, which was laden with handwritten notes and ads. She wanted to go over there and start reading them, but she wasn't sure if she should, so she shuffled in place as she tried her best not to have her fur puff up in excitement.
@Exit I'll be super glad to have you on board. Unfortunately I think someone reached out to me to reserve a steel type, but most other typings are still open <3

The Galar region-- our home. As gym leaders, we were born and bred within its culture and among its people. We've strived to accomplish our goals and achieve our positions, and Arceus knows that we've had to make many, many sacrifices in order to remain gym leaders. Some of us are content as we are; farmers, breeders, scientists, musicians, or what not. But there are also members of the Galar League that have their eyes set on something much more grand: becoming the next Champion of Galar.

While our rivalries might run as fierce and vicious as raging fires, us gym leaders see each other as somewhat of a family. We might spend much of our time around one another or hearing stories or rumors about each other. Sometimes we swing by each other's houses for a friendly battle or an invitation to go out and eat or train together. We watch movies together, go on trips together, talk about the stresses of media and so forth together...

Yeah, life is pretty okay. Or it was, until our beloved Champion of Galar suddenly went up and disappeared.

No one knows where he went. He didn't let anyone know that he was leaving or where he was going. He just poofed, leaving the Chairman and us wondering about what happened. Well, he's bound to come back eventually, right?

The group had exploded into chatter, and Skua flicked his tail in annoyance. Who cared if the RainWings gave in their poison or not? What mattered was to who they gave it to. The RainWings weren't at fault as long as they weren't complicit... which could seriously be the case. Though why would RainWings want to take part in potentially starting a war? He glanced over at Eclipse at his question and nodded in approval. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I already don't like these RainWings. Who would do such a thing?" he pointed his question in the direction of Dreamseeker and Eclipse. "I mean, if a war does break out because of this, do you think the other tribes would punish them?"

"I... don't know," Dreamseeker appeared very overwhelmed. Her head hung low and she looked even more tired than before. "But I agree that this is all pretty disheartening."

"If you're actually intent on going to the RainWing tribe, I could show you where it is. Lemur should still be somewhere in there, but... I don't know if they'll actually be pleased to see me." Jaguar continued. "They don't really like me much, so if you have a plan on getting them to trust you, then maybe it's best if you leave me out of it."

"Hmmm..." Skua glanced between Aardwolf, Eclipse, and Dreamseeker. "I agree with the RainWing-- we actually need a plan before we trudge into the middle of their tribe and ask for their help. Any ideas?"

Name:
Yew

Age:
Young Adult

Gender:
Female

Species:
Poochyena

Ability:
Rattled

Appearance:
Yew looks like a normal Poochyena, save for a fluffier than usual tail and a slight nick in her right ear. Her eyes are also a more earthy crimson instead of bright red. Her nose tapers to a fine point and her fur is usually always ruffled up.

Personality:
Yew is a rather rambunctious individual full of life and energy. She's quite adventurous, curious, and loud. Those who know her wonder how much energy she has, and if it ever ends. Those that don't know her might think she's uncivilized, filthy, and crude. She doesn't really enjoy expressing "weak" emotions such as sadness or fear, and will often express these in a furious fashion. Because of this, she doesn't have many friends, and the friendships she can claim are rather weak and fragile. It's quite obvious she doesn't know how to handle friendships-- or even relationships at all.

She's also quite loud and will often speak a few pitches higher than others. Yew, of course, isn't aware of this, and will have to be told several times to quiet down.

Short Biography:
Unfortunately, Yew spent most of her puppy years as an orphaned nobody. She scoured the streets of Cloudgate in search of food and was often forced to rummage around in trash cans. When she had become keen enough to survive on her lonesome, she was taken in by a Salazzle named Guayana. Guayana allowed her to remain a resident of Cloudgate's resident thieves' guild with one exception-- if she helped them out during their heists. Hungry and malnourished, Yew agreed, and so began her life as a thief. She wasn't very good at sneaking around, but she was good at ambushing targets from the shadows, so the guild kept her around for her brute strength.

Unluckily for her, Yew's time with Guayana didn't last long; the entire thieves' guild operation was intercepted by Cloudgate guards during one of their bigger heists. The good thing was that she had been forced to remain behind during the grand heist, and so no one suspected her of partaking in the shady guild. She had gotten off the hook with hardly a slap on the paw, but now she was homeless once again. Now an adolescent, she decided to partake in more humble work; she began to do odd jobs here and there, even though Pokemon weren't keen enough to pay her much.

One day, she came across an ad announcing that Scorch had come back to train Pokemon to become future explorers. Perhaps that was what would pull her away from poverty and struggle once and for all?

Move Set:
